Stumbled upon this truck while getting some coffee. I was like something smells familiar, the smell when I was visiting Vigan in the Philippines Iykyk. I had to get one for myself and the wifey. They were made fresh and of best enjoyed fresh!! The flavor was there along with vinegar sauce on the side!!! For 6.50 each not bad as it made a good breakfast meal for us before we hit the outlet in Waikele!

Expect a wait but the wait is worth it. I was shocked to see such a low rating but it looks like most of them are due to the wait time. However, they make them to order, so what do you expect? You can't get them fresher, the filling was excellent. I had no idea what it was going to be but it had pork sausage, cabbage and egg with some other stuff. The vinegar sauce is perfect with it. 6.50 for one but it's huge and well worth the price

Really wanted to like this place because I like to support small businesses but from start to finish, experience was horrible... VERY UNORGANIZED is an understatement for what I saw/got today. Got there around 11:10. Was told to wait a few minutes because cashier was running an errand. Waited about 10-15 min when 'cashier' finally showed up. He barely greeted me. I ordered the "today's special Xpress" and Large pancit. The today's special xpress was to consist of 2 empanadas, 3 shanghai lumpia, 1 cascaron and a drink for $19. (The regular xpress consists of everything but the cascaron for $17). I was told to wait a few minutes till my order was ready. Waiting waiting waiting and finally around 11:55 my order was ready. Checked the contents and I was missing the cascaron so I asked where it was. The cashier responded with "the Xpress doesn't come with a cascaron" I promptly pointed out that the sign clearly states that it is included. Then he all of a sudden starts explaining that the cascaron for that special was pretty much being given out for "free" so that's why they don't have any cascaron today and that the sign shouldn't say that. So my question is WHY was I charged $19 for the Xpress that is supposed to include a cascaron when it wasn't available to begin with!? I forfeited the drink on this special because the only choices they had for drinks today was either a water or coke. Only 2 choices on drinks. Because I had already been waiting there for pretty much 45 mins and my family was waiting at home for me to bring home their lunch... I didn't have the patience to argue with the cashier so I just left without getting a refund but his customer service was nonexistent at best. Food Review: everything was crazy oily . Pancit had a weird texture. Some noodles were all stuck together in clumps, all broken noodles. Not mixed well. A lot of burnt black char pieces. Pork pieces were straight up fat. OILY! Flavor was ok but couldn't get pass how the noodles were all broken and sittin/drenched in oil. Portion was small for being the Large size. Shanghai Lumpia: OILY. Very small. Very light and crunchy with light flavor because of the lack of filling. Empanada: OILY. Filling was a very mushy weird texture and lacked flavor but was over salted. Threw majority of the food away... I wanted to support small business but unfortunately this is one place I won't be going back to support...

OMG. Went here on a recommendation from a friend. Ordered pancit and empanadas. OMG the empanadas are so hearty so crispy! Just like I remember them when I had them in Laoag in the Philippines! The pancit was also so tasty! Seasoned perfectly. This is a must stop for me when I'm in the area!

Do not recommend. Ordered empanadas & lumpia and all of em tasted BURNT. Wanted to love it but it's a hard no for me.

Dough was very thick, the egg was scrambled, the longanisa was placed on one side by the edge. I ordered 4, and all of it were the same. Taste burnt. For $5.50 a piece, i think its not worth it.

Passed by this place several times, always rolling down my window to smell the smokey goodness. Finally decided to give their huli huli chicken a try and we did not regret it. The chicken was so delicious. Seasoned and smoked to perfection. It was so tender and juicy. Opted to go for a chicken plate which came with half a chicken, 2 scoops rice, corn and a side of their sauce. It was $18 which I gladly paid for because of how delicious it was and how big the portion was. It was good enough for 2-3 people. The staff was really nice. Shoutout to the braddahs working the smoker. Showed so much aloha with their smile and throwing shakas all around. Mahalo to the Braddah who without hesitation lent us his fan when he saw my daughters. In his words, "it's hot, keep the kids nice and cool". So good. I'll have to come back and their other food!

We happen to stop at Elena's to grab take out and I remember Diamond's Kitchen food truck is right in the same area out in the parking lot. I see the chicken cooking, smelled so good, hot and fresh so happy this is my chance to try. I went with the 2 item plate, ($24.) fried pork and chicken, which comes with rice, corn and sauce. I didn't get the side of potato salad but wanted to try the pickled ung choy $10. for container. I loved how the chicken is cooked, fire roasted huli chicken. My opinion, Wow- so Ono! I loved the fried pork, super tasty, I loved the dipping the pork with vinegar sauce and the chicken, so tender, juicy and loved it. I love the flavor in every bite eating fried pork, chicken, rice and ate it with the ung choy instead of corn. The best huli chicken here at Waipahu side. I am so glad I saw the reel, would have not known about this Gem! Supporting local and will be back here for sure now that I tasted this goodness!

They gave two dipping sauces, one spicy and their regular. The spicy gives an extra kick. One combo plate can definitely feed two short older Filipino women so the portions are generous! I'd recommend bringing cash to avoid the 3% credit card fees. I'd also call my order in next time. It took about 10 minutes, which isn't bad, but if you're on a lunch break and in a rush, calling ahead would be best. Other than that, I'd definitely come back again and try the other things on the menu!

We stopped by right at closing tonight, and the friendly staff were kind enough to let us place one last order. My son was craving sisig, and honestly, only Sw8's would do. But we didn't know they closed at 6! Lol - Thanks Aunties! The food is just as delicious as ever - crispy, flavorful, and now they offer it topped with a fried egg and chili oil on the side... he was in heaven! We also spotted fresh lumpia in the warmer last time, so we'll definitely be back to try that next. If you're a sisig fan (or looking to become one), I highly recommend Sw8 Dada's Sisig! They are #1 in our book.

We were spoiled to the max! The owners and their family run the place and in true Filipino hospitality, they served us buffet/family style and entertained us with their stories from their humble beginnings to what they are today. The food was the best I've had in the Island. Hands down. Everything tasted nostalgic because the technique used in cooking each dish tasted like a handed down recipe from a grandma's kitchen from back home in the motherland. If you're ever in the island of Oahu please make your way to Waipahu and sample as much of their offerings as you can and I can guarantee you will not be disappointed! 10/10 recommended coming from a humble cook who rarely raves about Filipino food because I myself learned from my paternal grandmother.

They're located on the corner and once you see a tent & smell bbq, you're at the right spot. This restaurant gave karinderia vibe to it! Karinderia is basically like those food stalls they have in the Philippines, where they have a bunch of dishes and you sit out to enjoy the food. Home cooked & affordable eats. They have everything from bbq sticks, adobo, lechon, kilawan, lumpia and more. I got the bbq stick & chicken inasal plate. The bbq stick was packed with so much flavor! The chicken inasal was more on the huli huli side & was served with Filipino dipping sauce. They also offer free sabaw with your meal. Ordering was a little complicating, they have a menu outside with food and also more food inside. The bbq items were cooked by order and the inside food had more of the Filipino dishes like (adobo). But next to the cashier, you could also find other fried dishes as well. So a little complicated. You also have the option to sit outside under the tent or inside the restaurant with AC. For this type of place, if you're dining in, you order & eat first then pay. Like any karindera. Overall, this place was VERY good & SUPER AFFORDABLE. If you want to experience a true Filipino experience with great food, this place is for you.
