This was my first time trying this empanada and I say it's really good with the vinegar sauce ! I'd advice if your not a huge fan of egg do not get this but if you are this is definitely for you !! The egg is very huge in the middle and they have the right about of cabbage, manggo beans, and ground pork.

This food truck in Waipahu is usually parked next to mop Central and diamond's kitchen there are orange Food Truck that serves Filipino type empanadas , noodles, and lumpia's today they only had empanadas so we decided to try that as seen everywhere on their Facebook and Instagram. I must say it was very delicious especially with the sauce that vinegar sauce. I definitely highly recommend this place. The empanada had super great crunch to it, and the filling was just right. Was made to order so fresh. The filling has green papaya, shredded long Anisa an egg. So delicious. Service was acceptable they were not the friendliest but food made up for it lol.

The inside of the empanada. You can order it with or without the egg.

Don't answer calls for order. Bad business ethics !! Need to answer all calls. We heard that it was a good place to eat empanadas.

The service was easy and fast but just know they only take cash or venmo - no cards! The menu is simple and yet creative because there are so many of their signature sauces to choose from. I got the three mix plate with Firecracker Chicken, 94 Sauce Pork Chops and Cream Meatballs. I also got the 74 South Moko. Everything was delicious. The chicken was crispy and juicy and the pork was tender. The meatballs were a little salty with the sauce, but just eat a lot of rice! The moko isn't a patty, it's just their meatballs. The eggs were perfectly runny and a very savory.

I got one of the sspecials: the Mum Mum Noodles Deluxe; and the Pork Chops with Garlic Kake (garlic Furikake) sauce. Yum! The Mum Mum Noodles Deluxe was topped with easy over eggs, French Fries, and a sweet mayo (?) sauce. I liked the chewy Noodles, but I prefer a more savory sauce - I'm sure I could have asked to change sauce if I knew. Note: Ketchup at home helped a lot! The pork Chops were delicious and tender! Corn was a nice side, along with two scoops of rice. Service was okay. I asked what "Mops" stood for - it's slang for "eating". The cashier made an eating motion... LOL!

It was sure good to be back, and I am happy for their business to have its own place where customers can sit, not just takeout. They are now located near West Loch station by Mickey D's and Seafood City [the shops West Loch station). I live in Honolulu but it was sure worth it to take the rail to satisfy my sisig craving. I ordered their pork sisig with rice, and it sure was still delish! Pro tip for the business is using calamansi instead of lemon (but still good!). My order seems like it is for just one person but honestly, if you share it with another person, you'd still be satisfied because it is stomach-heavy! If you didn't have much to eat throughout the day, you could easily demolish the sisig dish I ordered. For drinks, they have canned sodas inside for $2.00 but I decided to get some smoothies at Hang's just doors down the place. As the parking spot may fill up, you can always drop a buddy off to pick up some to-go order. I have yet to try some of their other dishes such as their beef pares noodles. So--if you are craving ramen--try switching it up and get some of their noodles! I also recommend getting bulk orders for parties! Mahalo and I hope this business continues to reap success!

It was almost 11am and it looked like all the trucks were closed, but fortunately, Dick's was open. It looked like they were only one of two or three that were. I decided on the lechon with pancit plate this time, since the Fried rice I got the last time was fairly bland. It was a good choice, as the noodles were flavorful, with lots of veggies. Unfortunately, the lechon was super salty this time. It was moist and the skin was veto crispy, but I could only eat a little at a time, due to the saltiness. I'm hoping this was a "one off", and they didn't change their preparation or recipe. I'll have to make sure by stopping by again to grab another order soon.

Everyone was working hard to get the food out fast. Lechon had the perfect crispy skin while the meat was tender. A good amount was given n' was nicely prepared. Ate it with the mang tomas sauce that was provided. The addition of spam pieces was to incorporate the main attraction. The fried rice unfortunately didn't have much flavor. I ended up eating it with vinegar to jazz it up. Bbq pork stick was really good on its own. The vinegar that was provided added even more flavor. It was actually my favorite out of everything; had a good char. Pork lumpia was two long pieces that was equivalent to like 6 regular size pieces. My kids enjoyed it. The turon had a good crunchy exterior, the banana seemed a bit on the dry side. Glad to see many people trying Dick's Lechon n' supporting local!

We were spoiled to the max! The owners and their family run the place and in true Filipino hospitality, they served us buffet/family style and entertained us with their stories from their humble beginnings to what they are today. The food was the best I've had in the Island. Hands down. Everything tasted nostalgic because the technique used in cooking each dish tasted like a handed down recipe from a grandma's kitchen from back home in the motherland. If you're ever in the island of Oahu please make your way to Waipahu and sample as much of their offerings as you can and I can guarantee you will not be disappointed! 10/10 recommended coming from a humble cook who rarely raves about Filipino food because I myself learned from my paternal grandmother.

They're located on the corner and once you see a tent & smell bbq, you're at the right spot. This restaurant gave karinderia vibe to it! Karinderia is basically like those food stalls they have in the Philippines, where they have a bunch of dishes and you sit out to enjoy the food. Home cooked & affordable eats. They have everything from bbq sticks, adobo, lechon, kilawan, lumpia and more. I got the bbq stick & chicken inasal plate. The bbq stick was packed with so much flavor! The chicken inasal was more on the huli huli side & was served with Filipino dipping sauce. They also offer free sabaw with your meal. Ordering was a little complicating, they have a menu outside with food and also more food inside. The bbq items were cooked by order and the inside food had more of the Filipino dishes like (adobo). But next to the cashier, you could also find other fried dishes as well. So a little complicated. You also have the option to sit outside under the tent or inside the restaurant with AC. For this type of place, if you're dining in, you order & eat first then pay. Like any karindera. Overall, this place was VERY good & SUPER AFFORDABLE. If you want to experience a true Filipino experience with great food, this place is for you.
