My girlfriend and I are visiting from California, and came by this truck after a stop at a local beach. The husband/wife team operating this truck are making absolutely delicious dishes and the portions are extremely generous. We had the spicy ahi poki, the smoked meat loco, the garlic chicken, and a burger and they were all some of our favorite dishes of the trip. Also, the team running the truck are genuinely kind folks. Had an errand to run in Campbell Industrial Park and as we were leaving to buy something to eat, we passed by this lunch wagon with a bunch of people either waiting for their food or ready to order so we decided to check it out. We looked over their menu and I also read a few comments on Yelp. We liked their food selections and great reviews so we'll give it a try. Heard people ordering their burgers so decided on their Teri burger that includes a thick homemade burger with teri sauce, cheese, mayo and grilled onions. I also ordered and plain fries (crinkled). The burger was thick and very tasty...yum! I would order this again. My husband ordered their Hamburger Steak plate that includes 2 thick homemade burgers, a lot of grilled onions with brown gravy all over a bed of rice, another scoop of rice and you have a choice of corn, toss salad or potato/mac salad but instead of macaroni, it was spaghetti noodles. Salad will taste the same since it's both pasta but don't see this very often...liked it a lot! This plate was awesome! The person taking the order was very nice and helpful. Their hours of operation and location is posted on their food truck stating from 11 am to 2 pm on Tuesday thru Saturday and closed on Sunday and Monday. I just had to update this review to add that Legacy Grindz has become our go to Thursday lunch (because they're posted up at Geiger park on Thursdays, right near my job), not just because of the amazing food (best teri burger anywhere, EVER) but also because they make it so easy to know where they are and what's on the menu, and you can just text them an order and it's always ready when we get there to pick it up. Decided to try this food truck since they were parked at Kapolei Regional Park. First signs a food truck is good....when there are other food trucks at the same area, and there's a line of people at one particular one. In this case, everyone was at Legacy Grindz. Two of us decided to share a plate lunch. For $22, we got the chopped steak plate with the option of fried chicken. The steak was really tender and flavorful with the lots of vegetables. So lucky that I was in Kapolei and spotted this Maroon food truck in front of Kapolei regional park. Check them on IG for latest info. Closed Sun and Monday. Tues, Thurs, Sat they are at Geiger Park 11a-2p and Wed, Friday at Kapolei regional park. 11a-2p The special was Kalbi shortribs for 15$ it was a generous portion and the ribs were delicious and tasty with not that much fat. Potato/mac salad is home made and yummy! I thought that it was definitely worth $15. We also got the Teri Cheeseburger which was delicious and homemade as well. Wanted to try this food truck for long time now. On Thursday they were located at Geiger park. Prices are very, very reasonable. Ordered the volcano fries, regular cheeseburger and the furikake garlic chicken. They are no longer serving Mac salad with their plate lunches, you can choose Toss salad or corn. The fries and the burger were super duper good! The burger is homemade local style which is my fave! The fries were super crispy and the furikake and sauce complimented it well. So many things to choose from this place, and I am never disappointed! They are sometimes parked along Geiger Park so it's a great place to grab lunch before you head home. We ordered the Butter Garlic Shrimp (this was a special) and a Combination plate with spicy ahi and fried chicken. Service was super nice, and friendly. We ordered and waited about 10 minutes to get our food. Both plates came with the entrée served on a bed of rice (plus an extra scoop in one of the compartments), and tossed salad or corn. The butter garlic shrimp was SO BUTTERY. I would consider this truck one of the best places to get garlic shrimp. The shrimps were large, and sauteed with the perfect amount of butter and garlic. I wouldn't consider the shrimp to be over buttery... but the sauce just paired so well with the rice. The salad also added a touch of freshness which paired well. The combination plate with the chicken and spicy ahi was also very good. The chicken was fried to perfection (crunchy skin but nice and soft once you get to the meat). The spicy ahi had a slight sweetness to it, but we sort of enjoyed it since it was a little on the spicier side. Overall, we'll definitely be back again! read more

It was very good the meat was soft chopped into strips stir fried with the onions and mushrooms. There is a little hint of teriyaki sauce was a little sweet but I was able to eat it. Comes with rice, toss salad, or Mac salad whatever you want. I would be returning again and try their rib eye steak chopped steak they only add the green peppers. That's the difference. My husband said he'll try the pork chops with tomato and onions. Maybe like the Filipino dish lechon kawali. Don't know. I had a special of the day, stuffed salmon ($20), husband had their chopped ribeye steak & garlic chix combo ($22) Both came w/a toss salad & rice. The steak was stir fried & had red peppers & onions in the mix . The meat was very tender. I've been wanting to try this lunch truck for a while and I had a day off to finally do that! I ordered the Fried chicken and spicy ahi poke plate, and a furikakae chicken and hamburger steak plate. I waited about 10 minutes, they were making the chicken fresh which I can appreciate. The spicy ahi poke was so good, it had the right amount of spice. The fried chicken was good at first, but then I started realizing it tasted burnt. My son said his chicken had a similar taste. The chicken didn't look burnt, which makes me think that could mean the oil needs to be changed. My son said his hamburger steak was good. Since I've been in Oahu (July 2021) I have been wanting to try their garlic shrimp. I have tried Giovanni's, Romi's and other food truck. Honestly, I can't get enough of their garlic shrimp. I don't know what it is but man oh man they are so good. You have no idea. Their beef patties are so flavorful, volcano fries with just the right amount of spice and my kids love their kalbi. Okay wow. This food truck did not disappoint. Literally everything I ate was so delicious and perfect comfort food! I actually tried going here on Wednesday, not knowing they change locations every day. I saw one another review to follow their ig @legacygrindz for daily specials and locations. Luckily I read that or wouldn't have known. I came on a Friday which meant they would be parked by Kapolei Regional Park across Kapolei Public Library. I did not want to phone order because I couldn't make up my mind. Now, if you are pressed for time, then you should try phoning in an order first, but if they don't answer, they're most-likely slammed with orders so you gotta come in person. One good thing to know is that each plate is made to order so that means everything is hot and fresh! Also they're only at each location from 11am to 2pm or until they sell out. (Correct me if that's wrong!) I initially came here for their iconic volcano fries. Crispy crinkle cut fries with Sriracha mayo sauce. Seriously so good! I also got their spicy ahi poke. Let me tell you this poke is SPICY! Don't get me wrong, I really liked it, but some bites were killer! I also don't like spicy foods, but this was good; however I don't think I'd order the spicy ahi again. I also ended up ordering their garlic butter shrimp plate (daily special) and hamburger steak with all rice for dinner. Yes, it was only 11:45 am when I ordered my plates, but it was still good for dinner! It didn't take away the taste at all. I just left my plates untouched until I got home and heated them up in the same container and it was like I just got them! Lol! My fiance liked the hamburger steak which was a plus! The hamburger had a lot of flavor. Okay now the garlic butter shrimp is literally O M G. My favorite shrimp plate ever. I'm not even joking. It was so garlicky and buttery and they used giant shrimp! Stumbled across this truck around the Ocean Pointe area "farmers market" on Wednesdays. I used to be a religious attendee of Eat the Street when they used to have it monthly in Kaka'ako so I'm a bit spoiled. I had high hopes for this truck but it was kind of a let down. I ordered the butter garlic shrimp - they were sold out of all sides so they only offered all rice...I'm not a big rice eater so I would have liked more variety. We also ordered a teri burger and a cheeseburger. The shrimp plate came with 6 prawns (the whole thing). Once you remove the head a shell, you are left with a taste-less chunk of shrimp. The rice was kind of hard and not very tasty - even when I mixed it with the sauce. The burgers were absolutely awful. I couldn't eat but 2 bites - I couldn't tell if they were made out of soy or beef or what. The texture was off and also tasteless. As with most food trucks, kinda pricey. Yes, they take a long time to cook your food. I don't think I'll be venturing to this joint again. read more

Amazing food! We loved this family owned truck. We love trying new foods, and when on vacation enjoy eating what the locals eat. I came across this food truck while searching for food in Oahu. We had the chili pepper steak, volcano fries, and the short ribs! And mannnn my mouth is watering just thinking of them. I first came across this food truck at the Makeke Market at Kapolei High. The food truck we went there for wasn't there, so we decided to try this one out. We weren't that hungry, so we just got gravy fries. Those fries were tasty. When we got home I checked out their IG & everything looked good, I knew I had to go back. Found them at Ewa Mahiko Park. We got there a little after 630pm & a lot of the plate lunches were sold out. Found out they close at 7pm. Luckily, they still had burgers. Ordered a cheeseburger & their volcano fries. That cheeseburger was amazing, definitely home made & not frozen kind. It had a spicy sauce in it which was good. The volcano fries is very similar to Teddy's burgers "Umami Fries" but cheaper! Yum! Been craving them so much that I went there the next 2 weeks. Tried their Kalbi Short ribs & the meat was soo tender. Didn't get pics of that though. Ate that bad boy up quick. Then, the next week I tried their special, Stuffed salmon. That costs $15, but damn was it worth it! Can't wait to try their other items.
