    Chef David doing his magic

Hana Hou! Came back for another hoagie! Had the Riley again, soo good! My friend had the Sulfolk, yummy as always. Chef David, you rock that grill. Tish is always warm and friendly. Got to try her mango cobbler for our honest review. This is the first time I've had a mango cobbler. It was also really good. Just sweet enough where the mango is the star! I also had a sample of the banana pudding, it was also very ono. You cannot go wrong here. We're hooked. (No obsession here, we just love good food)

WOW! This is amazing! This is my second time eating here while he's set up at Howzit Brewing. I got the 716 and it's sooo good! Definitely coming back.

These cheesesteaks are the best we've had on island! We got the ribeye and the combo. Both were delicious and very filling. I would say the ribeye was my personal favorite but the combo is good if you're looking for something different from a typical cheesesteak. The banana pudding is also great. The owners are very personable and friendly. They are located outside the Residence Inn by Marriott on Sunday and Monday evenings. Parking was easy in the hotel lot. There are some low benches/chairs in the courtyard you can sit at to eat. They are also at Kapilina Beach Farmers Market on Wednesday Nights. We will definitely be back!

Delicious Steak, Chicken, Italian Sausage, Chopped Beef, and Plant Based Hoagies. The Chef and his wife provide service with aloha. The grill is located right outside the Residence Inn in Kapolei during Night Market on Sundays and Mondays 4-8 pm, and Wednesdays at Kapilini's Night Market 4-8:30 pm!

    Steak hoagie

Had the steak hoagie, loved the bread was toasted in inside and soft on outside, the way I like it. Steak was cheese with secret sauce was amazing.

That holy hoagie dusted with some evening glow.

Legit, east coast inspired, loaded sandwich with some seriously elevated flavors. The bread is soft but crunchy and holds up the mounds of goodies stuffed inside; the flavors hit, and the sauce...THAT SAUCE, omg drool. Super ono, quick service, and solid portions. If you're in the area, this spot is definitely worth checking out. No regrets, just super mean grinds.

    3K2 Hoagie.

I was told the "young girl" seems to now be running the lunch wagon. Loved my plate lunch because the Pinakbet had a lot of pumpkin & eggplant. Also included some okra, long beans bittermelon. I actually like bittermelon so could have used more and appreciated that it did not have a lot of lechon. The rice was a bit mushy though. The Filipino items are only available on certain days. Looked it up in yelp and found this food truck. Thank you Iris T. for your review and picture we ordered the Filipino mix plate. Had chicken adobo, sari sari, and dingaguan. Well they had 3 people working in the food truck so food came out fast. Reasonable prices too. Came home and the plate was full overly spilled into the other compartments but its OK. The chicken adobo was missing the vinegar shoyu taste. The sari sari was good taste and the dingaguan was a little watery my husband said. But it was ok. The pork was tender. SORRY NO PICS FORGOT TO TAKE. But it was full and over spillage into the other sections.

When I found this food truck, I immediately wanted to stop by and see what the hype was about. I visited about 30 minutes before closing. The only thing they had run out of was the chop steak and one other protein, which wasn't too big of a deal for me. My eye was on the beef stew. Growing up in a Filipino household, I knew this dish as "caldareta." My dad would make this for me all the time. I asked for a bowl to go so I could enjoy it for dinner later. The first bite instantly sent me back to my family's home kitchen, where I would come home from school and find a pot of beef stew waiting for me. What I love about Hawaii is that it has a blend of cultures that I truly appreciate as a foodie, and experiences like this feel like a nostalgia tour. Thank you for this delicious meal. It made me miss my mom and dad a little more than I usually do. Food not only nourishes us, but also brings us back to a moment in time. I thank Laverne's for that.

Taste was great, especially when you add some of the Watah to it. I ate as much as I could, but probably ate only three quarters of the dish. Later in the evening I was still full, skipping dinner.
