First timer and it was so good! Plenty of meat in the tortilla tacos. Very flavorful. The beans and rice were also great. I've been to several Mexican restaurants/Trucks here in Hawaii and the beans and rice are never good! This truck is located in Kapolei behind the Kapolei high school. Plenty of parking available. This food truck is in a parking lot with some more food trucks and even a Barbershop truck! There were a few people waiting for their food when I got there. I ordered the #1 two pieces of chicken with rice and beans and #3 two pieces of chicken with 2 tacos- I chose carnitas. The lady who took my order was very friendly! It took about 10 minutes for my food. The chicken and tacos are both delicious. I forgot to ask for tortillas with my chicken so don't forget that if you are wanting tortillas. The rice and beans went well with the chicken. The spicy salsa wasn't spicy enough for me, maybe they had another option...a secret sauce for the people who look like they can handle it? We got 5 tacos, beans and rice for $21!! They're great tacos especially after the beach, and it's super convenient if you're coming from White Plains beach. Located in coral crater parking lot, best post surf meal! Will definitely be coming back again. read more

Super good!! The boyfriend said he has been eyeing this place out for awhile and bought us some for lunch today.. sooo good! The beans are pretty spicy as i had expected from reading the other reviews but the tacos and quesadillas is sooo bomb! How can just a plain cheese quesadilla be so special? I have no idea but it tasted sooo good! And the corn tortillas man they are perfect! I got a chicken, pork, and beef taco (3 taco plate) just to get a taste of each and the chicken is my favorite! The most amazing authentic Mexican tacos on the island. We stopped after zip lining at the Coral Crater. The birria was authentic and delicious, reminded me of my mother's birria. My only complaint about these guys, are they are too far away from my house!!!! I found them on accident while driving by. I order combo plates which came with Tacos, Grilled Chicken, Burrito and side items. The family cooking are Mexican. The food is authentic, and delicious! Cannot give them a 5 star, however, after living in San Diego and Texas. But they are very good. The burrito was a Monster! I could not eat it all, for sure. The chicken was juicy and tasty! The tacos were delicious also, and made me want to eat more. I love in Pearl City, but I will be returning for more of their food! Hope you try and like it. read more

This food was so good. I'm trying to put into words how good it was. The chicken was juicy. It seems like they used slow cooked rotisserie for the tacos instead of the usual dry stuff. I'm gonna start this by saying that the food was sooo amazing that I didn't even waste time to take a picture. I got the street tacos with chicken and rice on the side......the flavors was so simple but so ono(delicious in Hawaiian). The rice was perfectly flavored as well. My husband got the half chicken plate......I have to pause because let me tel you, that was the best chicken ever! I love huli chicken and fried a lot of places on the island and this place by far has the best! This place is conveniently located in Kapolei at the Coral Crater parking lot. read more

My boyfriend and I had been wanting to check this place out for a while so one day after a hike we stopped by with my brother.... I have been thinking about going back everyday ever since! I normally post pictures of my food but the three of us inhaled our meals before I could get any pictures. I have the two piece chicken and one taco. My man had the 3 piece chicken and cheese quesadilla. My brother had the same thing I had. The chicken was so flavorful and moist and the taco was legit street taco style and the quesadilla had so much cheese the portion was massive!! We are gonna be back soon .. very soon read more

If you're short for time do not order here! I ordered one burrito and two tacos, with only one customer ahead of me. It took them close to 45 minutes to get that done. Correct me if I'm wrong but that is too long of wait for that type of order with only one customer ahead of me. Food taste good, but not worth the wait! read more

Cinco de Mayo last year was friends coming over for a taco bar and watching the latest Game of Thrones Season 8, Episode 5 (when Missandei and the dragon Rhaegal died). Cinco de Mayo during the COVID-19 pandemic this year was basically Yelp around for a place to get some take-out street tacos and eat them at home with no social gathering whatsoever. Finally settled on sending the husband out to Da Mexican Huli Huli in Barber's Point. He said he found their truck by "the ziplining place". He said it was quick to order, but it took 10 minutes to get the #5 - 3 Taco Plate. He brought it home, I took a pic and added it to my Instagram story (can't you tell by the stickers in the pic?) and enjoyed some yummy bites of some street tacos, rice, and refried beans when all of a sudden my mouth started burning with hot fire! Thank goodness I had milk in the house to cool the heat. I wasn't sure if I bit into a jalapeno or what. I did read beforehand some Yelp reviews that their refried beans were spicy, but I didn't feel the burn until after I had put more salsa on the taco. I even strained out the salsa to remove the jalapeno seeds if that was the culprit. Even though it wasn't a pleasant experience to have a scorched tongue, I still enjoyed the food (I must be a baby masochist or something). Next time, I might just ask to leave out whatever is spicy from the plate. read more

I had a friend of mine who brought a burrito de carne asada and I liked it. So I figured I come buy and check it out myself. I went multiple times and i got a 2 pc chicken 2 tacos (asada and puerco adobada) I tried the chicken and adobada burrito. And they were great (the chicken is really juicy and just fantastic) As a person who was born and raised in mexico I would have preferred if the salsa and beans to be spicier. Best tacos I've had so far. Everything tasted great. I do feel the refried beans were wayyyy to spicy to enjoy. Would come back though. Chicken and steak flavors were juicy. Our chicken had bone and cartilage in the burrito so just be mindful when biting. read more

First time here ordered burrito plate for my wife and 2pc chicken and 2 taco plate for myself . Honestly this place was pretty good and the price was right 2 plates and a soda for about $20.50. Chicken was flavorful Mexican style grilled chicken I remember from the mainland, glad I can get it here now. I didn't think the beans were spicy at all just a tad kick but... I have a pretty high level tolerance for spicy. Overall everything was great and the lady that took our order was nice would definitely recommend and I will be back. As a Mexican (grew up in Mexico also) I was very pleased with the food. I ordered carnitas burrito and Beef burrito, let me just say that these carnitas are by far the best ones I have in the entire island! The beef wasn't dry and it was very tasty. One thing I wasn't a big fan of was the rice but it tasted good. Beens were great too, spicy but thats how refry beens are usually. I will be back for more of this. So glad I found this gem. We ate the food and forgot to rake pics. Lol read more

Major hole-in-the-truck!! Nothing fancy at all but I've tried both their tacos (which were tasty) and chicken (which has become my favorite) and both were delicious!!! My co-workers and I frequent this place quite a bit and this chicken is the best I've ever had as far as huli huli goes!! The young woman there that takes orders is always super friendly!! Drove into the parking lot by White Plains after surfing out of curiosity, turns out they had BOMB tacos. I had one of each of the flavors. The ingredients are fresh, meat is well seasoned and the carne asada was probably the best I've ever had. 10/10 will recommend! read more

The portions were good, the prices were decent, and it's the type of menu that works well for sharing with a group. Service was okay. The staff wasn't overly friendly, but they were efficient. Parking was good, and the overall vibe was chill, though it did get a bit noisy. The biggest issue was the condition of the restaurant. The place felt pretty run down. The floors were very dirty, the seats were torn and patched with electrical tape, and the windows were so dirty that we actually thought the restaurant had shut down one day when we were walking by. The bathrooms were also pretty gross, even for a casual bar/restaurant. I wanted to like it more because the food itself was good, but the cleanliness and upkeep really took away from the experience. They definitely need to do a better job maintaining the place. I'd probably only return if I heard they had cleaned up and refreshed the entire restaurant.

The place is clean, which should always be the standard. The three women helping make the orders were okay, not really friendly (except to a regular who had not been in for a while) but really no complaints. They did their job. Choices were varied, a little something for everyone- meat/no meat, burrito/bowl/taco. Your choice (like I mentioned earlier, a little like Chipotle except for the Kailua pork). Would go back again, maybe next time I see a movie. Plenty of parking and prices are reasonable.
