Beautiful authentic Mexican restaurant! Love the atmosphere and friendliness of the place! We also got recommended the supreme burrito that fed two & complimentary chips and salsa! Yummy! Would 10/10 recommend this place! Thank you for a great first experience

Good tacos, great service. I stopped in for a quick bite after driving out to Lowe's Waipahu. Only got 2 carne asada tacos this time, but next time I am in the area I will get the plate. The tacos came out quickly and tasted good. It's a small place, clean, plenty of parking.

We came here on a whim since we have patronized the other location in Ewa Beach. We came on a Sunday around 1 PM. There was only one other person in line with two customers eating. By the time we ordered there was a line out the door. It looks like they have their regular customers. My only complaint is the length of time before you get your food. Not sure if they were shortstaffed or it's normally like that but it seemed like an unusual amount of time we had to wait. They do have an outdoor area that they opened up for seating due to the amount of customers coming in. With that being said, the food was extremely delicious and flavorful. We will definitely come again but not if we are super starving and have to wait extremely long like 20 to 25 minutes. We'll be better prepared next time! They are on the pricier side but everything is pricey these days.

Lots of parking friendly service on a weekday night. I ordered a beef tongue chimichanga and my partner ordered the veggie burrito plate for dine in. This place never disappoints! That beef tongue was melt in your mouth, amazing! There are four tables inside so not a ton of space but cozy and convenient enough if you want to eat your meal fresh. I recommend the chimichanga, dine-in for that nice crisp crust. I'll be back for my taqueria fix.

The food here is really good. We had the street tacos and chimichanga, ending the meal with the tres leches cake. The service was very prompt and cordial. The only drawback for me was access. It is ADA compliant, but it is a very compact space, with a tricky (yet fully compliant) entryway. I love the ambiance, once inside --bright and arty.

This is a cozy spot with just four tables and convenient free parking. I was excited to try it after seeing all the great reviews, but unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to the expectations. We dined in and got complimentary chips and salsa, which was a nice touch, and we added a side of guac. I ordered two carne asada tacos and one al pastor taco, but the meat was very dry. My husband had the carne asada burrito, which was generous in size but average in flavor. Service was quite slow, and we had to ask for basic things like water. We also noticed other tables were given sauces, but none were offered to us--so it seems like you may need to ask for everything here. Overall, I wanted to like this place, but it just didn't hit the mark for us.

The staff was welcoming right off the bat. We got seats inside in the corner and loved the music and got free chips and salsa for eating there. The kids got a quesadilla and burrito and they added protein no problem. Go hungry and even take some home because it was that good!

Here again and ready to try new items that we haven't had yet. It's cinco de Mayo and we're dining in. It's crazy busy for dining in, carry out and take out. By the way they have an open patio as well. I'm having the taco salad with an outer shell crunchy bowl with all the yummy filings and additions in it, Sooo good! Carne asada fries so much and good too. The horchata is cool and refreshing. Also, the wet chicken green and red enchiladas. Service is welcoming and friendly too.

Mexican cuisine for lunch in Waipahu, Oahu, Hawaii... I wasn't sure if Frida was open. I pulled on the door, and it opened up into a colorful, festive environment with welcoming, cheerful service! Rozzelle was at the cash register, but she came to my table several times to check on me. She was very thoughtful as she brought me a fork for my shrimp taco, which spilled out onto the plate because the toppings were generous! When I ordered at the counter, I was looking for horchata. Rozzelle pointed to the blackboard where it was written... yay! The horchata was rich and cinnamon sweet... not watered down like other places! The shrimp taco had one flour tortilla, veggies, and grilled shrimp. The smokey flavor was much appreciated because there was no spicy sauce covering up the sweet, firm, fresh shrimp! Yummy! The desserts looked so good that I had to get the Berry cheesecake... Too bad they were out of flan. I would return for that! I looked at the reasonably priced merchandise and almost got a pair of earrings for $3! Instead, I got some cute Frida coin purses. The aprons and towels were tempting, too. This is a great little restaurant! I appreciate the free shared parking lot and complimentary chips and (spicy) salsa! Rozzelle gave me the key to the restroom and walked with me outside, then pointed across to the next building where the restroom was. Thank you! Note: Frida Kahlo is a famous painter from Mexico. I first learned about her when some LA Yelpers and I flew from Los Angeles to Mexico City and visited Frida's home, which is now a museum.

A hearty eater would probably need four or five. Both wrapped together in foil. In fact, so small, that I told the guy at the window that I ordered two. Then he told me they're both wrapped together. He gave me both sauces - chili and green. I must say, the ground beef had a dry taste and texture. I added the green sauce hoping it would liven up the tacos. The tortilla shell was very soft too. Topped with plenty cilantro and onions (chopped small to my liking). Overall, the tacos turned out like how I expected. NOT a "Wow" first impression. I gave this place a 4-star rating because I'd go back if in the area. I used to like beef tacos from Taco Bell (before I discovered SOH's Birria Tacos). Service was pleasant and cordial.
