I paired it with their spicy garlic furikake chicken, and that combo did not disappoint! Definitely recommend giving this place a try, but there are a couple of things to know: check their hours before you go, especially on the weekends since they close early. And if you want to get your food without a long wait, line up before they open. The line gets CRAZY! But honestly, the wait is worth it. The chicken and shrimp meal came with the obligatory two scoops of rice and mac salad. The short ribs, because it was a "small" order only came with one scoop of rice and mac salad. The portions were huge, even the short ribs. We had enough for lunch AND dinner, and there is still enough beef (and rice and mac salad) for another meal. It would have been awesome if there was some acid to cut through all the richness of our meal, but I am not a fan of kimchee so we passed on the pickled cucumbers. The chicken was so crispy and there were no nasty bits that make me anti-thigh. Even heating the leftovers up in the microwave didn't change the texture. The chicken came with some sort of sauce that was yummy, but unnecessary in my mind. The shrimp was delightfully garlicky and thankfully served headless. The short ribs were fall apart tender and delicious. It also came with some sauce that I don't think either one of us used. It was good, though. The ube ice cream mud pie was amazing. And amazingly huge. We did not order one, but a woman gave me a slice from her family's piece. Mahalo for a random stranger's generosity! The lady at the restaurant whom I spoke with said that she was sorry but the person whom gave my driver the order was new in their restaurant and forgot to give the other plates in my order to my driver. She stated they were already closing and that DoorDash would be able to help me receive a refund. DoorDash did refund me and I had to reorder dinner for my kiddos through another restaurant that evening. Today September 26, 2026 my kids were craving Filipino food and because the weather is not the best to go out and eat we opted for delivery. Shame on me for giving it a second chance! When we entered, one employee was wiping down the refrigerator doors while another was seated behind the counter. Unfortunately, we weren't greeted or acknowledged when we walked in. We browsed the store, which had a good selection of Filipino products, and I decided to purchase the onion and chive SkyFlakes crackers along with two banana lumpia. The male employee rang up the crackers and then spoke to the female employee in another language regarding the lumpia. I assumed everything was included in one transaction, but when I walked over to her, I realized I needed to pay separately. When she began putting both lumpia together in foil, I politely asked if they could be wrapped separately. Her reaction made me feel as though my request was an inconvenience. Overall, the transaction itself was fine, but the customer service could be more welcoming. A simple greeting and clearer communication would make a big difference. I also think that when discussing a customer's order, communicating in a language the customer understands would help avoid confusion and make the interaction feel more inclusive.
