The line was pretty long but we wanted some pastele so we decided to get some food there. The workers were very friendly and portrayed Aloha! Loved that! BBQ Chicken & Pastele Combo with Gandule Rice 3. Pork Belly & Pastele Combo with Gandule Rice 4. BBQ Chicken Plate The food was okay. The chicken, rice and mac sald was a little bland but we were hungry so we ate some of it but did not finish it. I was hoping it was better that it was. It also took them a little while to get us our food. It could have been that they were very busy and short staffed as I saw another employee arrive while we were ordering. I am willing to try it again as the do have potential in the food and their menu sounded really good.

Holy Hoagies was one of many vendors at the event and I am so grateful I had the opportunity to taste their incredible food. Full confession, I ate dessert first. I love peach cobbler, I even make it myself, so I may have a certain preference when it comes to peach cobbler. Let me tell you just how perfect their peach cobbler is. Their peach cobbler is sold in a glass jar. This made it easy to handle while it was hot and fresh. While some places sell cobbler in a small disposable foil pan, the glass jar is sturdy and reusable, love it! Layer upon layer, their peach cobbler had peaches in every delightful spoonful. They have the perfect balance of peach to cobbler. In my humble opinion, this was a special treat that wasn't overly sweet nor overly rich...it was indeed, a Holy balance with zero guilt. Now for my hoagie, I ordered the Royal 808 with all the fixins! Holy smokes, it was a huge generous portion, easily three meals for me! An excellent combination of Ribeye, ground beef, and Italian sausage. So flavorful! The balance of cheese, onions, and peppers took this to higher level of yummy! This husband and wife team are so adorable too. Fantastic friendly service, cookin it up together, truly a Holy blessing! Thank you for this delicious meal. I will be sure to return!

I hit follow right away -- and when I saw they were nearby, I waddled my very pregnant self over to grab a plate. I ordered their Combo Plate: two scoops rice sprinkled with furikake, crab potato salad, fried noodles, and two proteins. I chose garlic fried chicken and teri beef. It was so good I actually cried a little. Living on the Big Island, everything was so far, and I couldn't satisfy my cravings easily -- so finally having a real plate lunch felt like comfort and home all at once. I hadn't been back since, mostly because they don't have a set schedule, and whenever they were close by, Bubba would be napping or I'd find out too late. But today, I finally got to go again -- and this time I brought Bubba. And she remembered me. "Weren't you pregnant last time?" she said. Such a small thing, but honestly an amazing memory and such a warm customer experience. Bubba and I had a little sidewalk picnic together. He tried fried noodles for the first time, loved the teri beef, and of course devoured the rice -- his forever favorite. I saved half the plate for my boyfriend since he's working. It felt like such a full-circle moment... sharing with my son the exact plate lunch that made me cry (in the best way) when I was pregnant with him.

Got there this time after 11:00 am. I think it was about 11:20. I was 3rd in line ordering. The rolls were tasty and the fried chicken was crispy skin and a lightly salted. Told the girl inside the truck we looked for you guys last week thursday and you guys wasn't there. She started to laugh explaining why they weren't there but I cut her off and said that day we came back 3 times couldn't find them we went home. LOL. Took a picture of their menu. If you in the area, stop by. Support them. They make everything fresh it's about a 20 min wait. P.S. They only open Tuesday through Friday 11-3pm.

Not freezing cold, but definitely wasn't hot like it came out of the grill. We had to wait 15 minutes for it to be done so the outside was hot but not the middle next to the bone. We aren't ones to complain so we let it ride. I also want to know if the collard greens were home cooked or canned. I cook collard greens all the time so I just wasn't sure if these were fresh. They were still good though. I'll definitely be visiting Donnie's again for that bomb catfish. Thank you.
