The atmosphere was somewhat quiet and calming. They were polite and deliver my water with the little side dishes...like seaweed mixed with cucumbers and daikon...very tasty!. Kimchee was between mild and medium spice just right. The vegetable pancake was outstanding with daikon with jalapeños (spicy). Last, a generous portion of fish cakes! I ordered the mini combo barbecue chicken and beef, then topped off with a large Mandoo. All were absolutely flavorful...a good amount of families and friends were packing it in. walked away from Tasty Korean, Mililani because I was not impressed by them.... They don't list all their menu with prices and over priced. Mililani Bar-B-Cue is the place to be. A real family run restaurant. Come to this restaurant...Ciao!

This is my second time dining in! I normally do take out so I can eat at home, but since my mom and I was meeting a friend, we decided to come here. We arrived around 11am on a Wednesday and there was only a couple of tables already seated. After we ordered, there was a few more tables that got seated, so I think coming at 11am was a good time. Food came out fairly quick! They gave us an assortment of 5 different banchan. I was craving bibim kook soo which is spicy cold noodles and it came with BBQ beef... SO FREAKING GOOD and cravings have been satisfied! My mom ordered the fish jun and BBQ beef combo. Our friend ordered the meat jun and BBQ chicken combo. Their food is always a 10/10 for me!! The owners are so nice too... I'm assuming they're married... They both take turns taking orders, serving, ringing up the register. It's just them two, so be patient with them! :)

FYI: $2.00 for a can soda-

I'm not sure why the rudeness persists at this restaurant. There's a sign in sheet and no one has crossed off names. When asking how many people are ahead of us. The lady yells. "We call you" Another worker continues to wipe the tables & chairs with the SAME cloth x 3 tables. We ended up going elsewhere

Met a friend here for lunch for the first time and was greeted as soon as we walked in, order was taken and food came shortly after. I ordered the Lunch special for $17.50 which contained BBQ Chicken, Mandoo, BBQ Beef and rice w complimentary Ban Chan vegetables like kim chee. I thought the one scoop rice was a small portion but enjoyed the mandoo, chicken and BBQ beef so much I ate the whole thing. Their mandoo is home made and was delicious, the chicken was just regular, and their bbq was nicely cut into bite size pieces. The service isn't super friendly but it did the job and we enjoyed our meal.

This is a small mom and pop sort of eatery. The food has a comfort to it that isn't fancy or anything. It is good and casual. Great for a quick bite. It was actually better than I expected. The service was nice and straightforward. I had a good time. When you are done eating, just go to the front to pay.

Great find! Good food! Place is pretty small and service a little slow but the price and quality of the food is outstanding. My husband and I both enjoyed specials that included shrimp tempura. I ordered the meat jun and hubby got the kalbi. Very flavorful and cooked perfectly. Loved the ban Chan that comes with meal. All in all, we loved this place and would highly recommend it. Located in a shopping center, with lots of parking. We'll definitely come back!

While at Mililani shopping center we decided to grab lunch at Mililani BBQ it has been around for many years, I used to eat there before. As you enter there's a sign that says wait to be seated, which we did and it took awhile before the counter person looks up and said you can sit and points to a table. After getting our table we waited about 20 mins for someone to take our order and bring water. It looks like it only 3 people running this restaurant the counter person that takes the order and cashier and the dishwasher that delivers the food and I think a cook unless he cooks and deliver the food and wash dishes. Lot of customers while we waited didn't know what to do waiting to get seated and even after getting seated didn't know if we had to go to the counter after getting our table and place are order? After waiting awhile the lady behind the counter came and took our order. I ordered the lunch plate which for the price was very small for $17.50 which most plates run and $25.50 for lunch, Dinner is much higher. The lunch plate was okay nothing special in flavor, the bbq chicken was burnt and dry and the mandoo was mushy inside with hardly any taste, the bbq beef was good and tender. My wife didn't care for the meat Jun which I tried and agree with her. Their Kim Chee was very good and tasty and not too spicy, but the flavor was there. Most of the ban Chan they served was very good. They must be doing something right, because they been around for many years and they did have a lot of take outs and customers dining there. Lot of parking available in and around the shopping center. Restroom are located outside of the restaurant close by, which is shared by all tenants there.

Aloha Kakou! This place was recommended by my bf-I had the Kalbi plate-the Kalbi was precut for the 1st two meats, the last two meats wasn't-(next time I'll ask to cut all Kalbi Meats for easier consumption,) My bf ordered the Squid plate- Disappointed that only had a few pieces of squid and tons of veggies to make up for the less of Squid. If your going to order the Squid plate-pls double check and open up the plate in front of their employees to confirm that your getting your moneys worth. Total was $50.00 spent on this experience.

I've done takeout here before, but it's my first time dining in. My family had the lunch special which was a mix of entrees. I had their Fish Katsu which was delicious. The portions were plentiful. Our service was good. Restaurant was a bit busy but pleasant. I'll probably do takeout moving forward but my dining experience here was great.

I love Mililani Bar-B-Q. The staff is great, the food is always delicious, and the seating area is always clean.

I would give Zero stars. Idk what happened to this place. The lady who was really friendly before is so RUDE!!! Waiting 30 minutes cause she was on LUNCH BREAK soon as she sit us down she was up by the cashier just doing idk what ignoring us letting us sit for 15 more minutes then take our order. Didn't ask if we needed water nothing. Food also is different. Maybe they are struggling with keeping up with rent or maybe have relationship problems idk. Don't go there!! They are just absolutely RUDE!!!!!!!! "THE WORST KOREAN RESTAURANT EVER"

We wanted to have Korean food for Father's Day and decided to give Mililani BBQ a try. We tried calling the morning of for a dinner order and wanted to get small catering trays of food. We couldn't understand them, but we either called too late, or they weren't doing it because it was a holiday. I'm not sure, but we ended up ordering multiple two choice plates instead. I only had some of the kalbi and mandoo. Both items were good but not the best that I've had. It was also a little pricey, but Korean food in general on the island tends to be more expensive. Overall, decent food and good for being in Mililani. There are places in town that I'd prefer, but it's good for what it is!

Visited this place with my friends on a shopping day and it was the perfect way to end the day! Great food, but be prepared to wait a bit.

Ask the Community - Mililani Bar-B-Q

Is this place byob?

Yes

Are they open for dine in?

Dine in and take out, yes

Do they answer their phones for take out or is it strictly going in and ordering? Phone is always a "busy tone". Easier to call in and pick up then order in person and have to wait.

I try to call in a few hours earlier for dinner pick up. I haven't had an issue.

Did they close down or are they taking this opportunity to renovate?

They're supposedly moving to the old Maru-Hi spot

You can very will split a mini in to two portions and you can sub rice for extra veggies. I love the Tasty Combo bc i love variety, Husband loves the Bibimbap. I don't think the service is bad at all, but the girls are young so don't expect to be blown away. Regarding the banchan, if you want something specific, give them a call bc sometimes they don't have it that day of if they ran out, they don't replenish it. Restaurant is pretty small so although there are tables available, it can get pretty crowded inside so it can be uncomfortable if you're trying to eat. The courtyard is a great option. Anyway- Can't go wrong. Food is always cooked perfectly. I do wish the containers were better quality. They become rather flimsy and soggy real fast. Do stop by and give them a chance. Mini plates run about $17 depending on what you get, and regular plates are around $23. When ordering, I asked the cashier if the cook could cut the Kal Bi into pieces. She said, "No can," but offered me a knife instead. I also asked if I could do a half‑pound side order and split it into two items--again, "No can." When I finally got my food, my Meat Jun was cut into pieces... which made me wonder why the Kal Bi couldn't be. I tried cutting it myself, but the plastic knife broke. I went back to get another knife and a cup of ice for my not‑so‑cold soda, but the cashier said we don't have and no cups. At that point, this place should've been called "No More, No Can. It was super yummy with just the perfect amount of char. We also absolutely loved the meat jun and fish jun, those will definitely be our go-to orders from now on! I do miss the old food place that was in here, but at least when it left it provided a great, clean dine-in area for Mr. Cow. Honestly, as far as service, I don't know how to mess this up. You just take my order and then call my number when it's ready. I do notice that they may be the ones cooking it as well, but it's good to know that's how simple these hot dogs are. Overall, it's hard to mess this food up so it makes sense how it's able to expand so fast. Wouldn't be surprised if this place is a franchise. I also really appreciate that it has dippin' dots as well which is a great contrast to the food and there's not many dessert places out there. Or just many dippin' dots vendors out there in general. We decided to go with LOTS of sides and try out the bento since everyone been hyping the food out here. I got the meatjun bento, which came with chap jae, daikon rice and furikake. My Husbabe got the fishjun bento which also came with the same sides. Let's talk about the bento. My honest review because I had really high hopes, but let's be clear before I go on. We are going to go back and try again, maybe earlier in the day as it was in the afternoon already (12ish). Okay so, the meatjun was really mushy, I thought maybe just that one piece I had, literally couldn't taste the meat, everything seemed mushed together. I tried a 2nd piece and samething. I was really sad :(. I really wanted it to be good. The chap jae was good. The bentos are room temp laid out on a table and not under any sort of warmer, so literally a grab and go. My husband said the same about his fishjun :( . The sauce that came with the meatjun was extremely odd, tasted heavy of some sort of soy sauce. We got gyoza and that was okay, the sauce was the same sauce as the meatjun, so I just made my own sauce. Now let's get to the sides. SOOOOOOOOOOO GOOOD! My husband got the load of variety (pictured below). We are definitely gonna go back to try the bentos again and I gotta say the sides are so worth it tho and that kimchee, chef's kiss...
