    Meat jun

Early open at 10 after 5am. Already another person in line ahead. Sweet, friendly service from Mika. Korean & breakfast menus available. Meat jun is made with ribeye. 5 minutes til pau! Great location, next to Arby's in Waipahu. Clean truck. Check her out!

The food was super delicious! If you want authentic Korean food you need to give this food truck a try! I've been searching for a good spicy squid spot and found one right in the heart of Waipahu!

    Kimchi fried rice!

The little kitchen that could! Stumbled upon this cool little spot to eat. We ordered kimchi fried rice and liked it so much we ordered the spicy rice cakes with cheese. So good and I can imagine the rest of their menu is desirable!

Slow. Long wait times. Wouldn't consider if you're in a bit of a rush. Wait times up to 20-30min.

Awesome mom-and-pop, local hangout over in Aiea. You can find these just about everywhere on this…read moreisland, if you know where to look. So yes, this is a Korean spot in case its name didn't give it away. Looks small and nondescript from the exterior, with not too much parking out front as it shares this lot with other businesses. Inside is bigger than you think, though. Most people come here for takeout, but there is plenty of comfortable seating if you want to stick around. I can see why this is a popular lunch spot for the locals on their break. Food comes out quick and service is efficient and diligent. Lots to choose from the menu, but they have daily lunch specials that makes it pretty easy for you to choose. You can pick two of their regular items and it comes with rice, veggies, and banchan at a discounted price. For what you're getting, this is a SUPERB deal. They absolutely do not skimp out on the portions. This will fill you up for the whole day. Ordered the following lunch special: - BBQ short ribs and chicken - 9/10: My God man, this was awesome. Came straight from the BBQ out back (they have an open fire grill) and you could literally taste that lovely smoke. Perfectly cooked, tasty, tender, juicy, and delicious. I believe they use the same marinade for both proteins, but I ain't complaining. Just great stuff. So yeah, I'm already hungry just thinking about it. Definitely a GREAT time was had by all.

It is a bit tight in this restaurant so we usually do takeout when we have the whole family with us because my son is special needs so it's a little hard to find a spot for him to sit down without being in someone's way. But when he's not with us, we love to eat in. They have a bunch of vegetable sides. All of them are always delicious. The meat Jun here is our family's favorite and their Kalbi too! We usually order the meal for two and they naturally give so much food that it feeds our family of six... for now because the kids are still little. But I believe that meal can easily feed three adults. This restaurant feels like those family restaurants that you just go to and grow up with. We love it here the food is always good. Everything taste amazing. I've never had any problems with the service so no complaints on my end. Love this place.

The review is for the meat Jun combo. $21.99 for a regular plate (comes with 4 choices of sides & 2…read morescoops of rice) or $16.99 for the mini plate (comes with 2 choices of sides and 1 scoop of rice) BUT you can just order it as a side and get for $17.49 by itself. The choices of banchan sides are plenty and they are generous sizes on your plate. There's good amount of seating inside and parking can be tricky but staff is nice and inside is clean for the most part!

Takeout lunch from Waipahu, O'ahu, Hawaii…read more.. I was shopping at Waikele Premium Outlets when I realized that I hadn't had lunch yet. I had driven past Y'kele Korean BBQ and thought that I should give them a try... Located across the street from the outlets, the Waikele Center has many restaurants such as Restaurant Kunio, Panda Express, Subway, Chili's, and McDonald's. There's a lot of free shared parking, but it can get crowded at times. The interior is clean, bright, and air-conditioned. There are many tables and chairs for dining in. Service was pleasant and efficient. I ordered and paid at the counter, then took a seat. In no time my meal was ready. I was so hungry that I took a picture quickly and then started eating. There was so much food that I took the rest home. I got the Y'kele special: BBQ chicken, kalbi, and BBQ beef. It came with four sides. I chose tofu, corn, choi sum and seaweed. Everything was delicious! I'd return because it's convenient, tasty, and satisfying!
