Just a good local spot for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Such reasonable prices and supporting a small local restaurant. Seating available or takeout as well. The hot cake was huge and fluffy and delicious!! The cheeseburger was a simple burger at a good price point. Must try since they have a ton of different foods to try!!

This place is an old school establishment. Lots of regulars. We shared a loco moco, kim cho fried rice omlette, and a banana short stack. Food was delicious and great value for the price. Service was great and friendly. Too bad we do not live in the area if not we would come here often.

Me and my gf went here for the first time on March 27th, 2026. Our food was absolutely perfect, I got the loco moco with 3 eggs on a bed of fried rice. It was excellent, 10/10. The service was great and the restaurant gives the old school Oahu vibes that I miss. High recommend this breakfast spot to any braddahs and sistah who wanna taste an old school Oahu classic. Absolutely fantastic

Maybe don't look for this necessarily, because there's a tent out front, but this is the sign

I canNOT stress enough the importance of places like this enough! Places like Rocky's Coffee Shop are a real life look in to the history of Hawaii as told by food. You walk in and there's a quaint dining room that probably seats 25 or so. The main centerpiece of the interior, set off to stage left of the shot is the 10 foot hot, flat grill! The smells that are coming from there can't be summed up in words. Sure, I can tell you what the meats they were but it's more about the feelings they conjured up. Rows of bacon, squished under a cast iron press. Hash browns sizzling to the perfect crisp. Fluffy eggs forming their shape. All the auntys there are so nice. You can tell they've been working there for years. They know the menu by heart. Service the way it used to be done! All the people eating there have the same spots that they always assume when they come. And if you stay long enough, or come at the right time, you watch the crowds change. The early crowd features the kupunas. They read their papers. Listen to the radio. Talk about bus schedules. The later crowd has the younger generations. Adults with baby faces and babies. The generation that had grown up eating here. Prices aren't the best, but it takes a lot to keep a place like this open. So PLEASE... come and eat. Enjoy the flavors that can only be made made from a grill that's cooked meats for decades, the same way. And always remember, though the flavor is unforgettable, it's more about the moments that you're sure to have that you'll never forget at a place like this! A must visit. MUST KEEP ALIVE!

Was craving pancakes and was recommended this place. Ordered the banana pancakes and was not disappointed! Will def be back for them if I get the craving for pancakes.

Menu front

Simple breakfast but it was good. The place was quaint. The clientele looked like local folks who seem to eat there regularly. Server was nice and knew her customers.

Smoke meat fried rice omelette this was on their special menu.

So me and my friend went here because he hasn't been in a long time. The wait wasn't that long I think we wanted less the 5 minutes. We had a very nice waitress. The inside is very cool they have all these old pictures Waipahu with dates on them which I thought was very interesting especially to see how everything was back in the day. Anyways so I had the smoke meat fried rice omelette and I wanted banana pancakes but they ran out so I just got a short stack. I got to say the omelette was delicious so was the pancakes hopefully the next time I go they have bananas.

Breakfast in Waipahu, Oahu, Hawaii... Sometimes, I'd drive past Rocky's Coffee Shop and see a crowd outside, waiting on the sidewalk, under the red pop-up tent... There's even a bench outside for those wanting to get in... Wow... Must be a good place, right? Located on the busy Waipahu Depot Road, there's free street parking and a free parking lot in front of the popular Waipahu Festival Marketplace. Be careful not to park in reserved stalls for the neighboring building. I walked into the cozy, old-school diner, looked for a worker, and signaled to her that I just needed one seat. She motioned to me to have a seat at the counter... perfect! I was fascinated by the cook at the grill. He was awesome! I watched his skills - cracking eggs open, delicately turning the Vienna sausage, making fried rice, creating banana pancakes, etc - and occasionally taking a sip of Pepsi or popping a bit of bread into his mouth! LOL! I also enjoyed his humming along to the music! I ordered Hamburger Steak plate with tossed salad (instead of macaroni salad). It came with two scoops of white rice... perfect! The three Hamburger patties were thin and tender without gristle! The aunties were friendly and chatted with regular customers. Several of them - and the cook - checked on me. Thank you for the hospitality and comfort food! It would be better for me if there was more air-conditioning, but that's minor. I appreciate the reasonable prices and Ohana Spirit!

Breakfast in Waipahu, hubs suggested. Casual atmosphere. Very local, Hawaiian music playing. Server has the sweetest voice and personality. Localest breakfast place ever The only other customer in here when we arrived came over to our table with a BIG smile and said my hair looks like shave ice, the color he chooses for his shave ice.

Decided to try Rocky's coffee shop during our visit to Oahu.. it's a little bit of a drive from Waikiki but wanted to try the Filipino sausage," longonisa".. a sweet pork sausage... it was really good , perfect breakfast combination with steam rice and over easy eggs... the Loco Nico tho was just ok... better if the patty was all beef and The gravy lacked flavor... the sausage tho was good. Would go back for that!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE Rocky's from its old sku interior to the wait staff to the breakfasts (and prices) that haven't changed since small kid time. Give me a good hole in the wall any day.

It does come as a single link, but it's perfectly portioned for an average breakfast and leaves you feeling full and satisfied without being overly heavy. My husband ordered the country fried chicken and really enjoyed it. The portion size on his plate was especially generous. Of course, we had to try the pancake flight--it was delicious and just the right amount. I love having a variety without feeling overwhelmed. One small note: I ordered a regular drip coffee and found the price a bit steep $5, especially since it only includes one refill--so definitely be sure to ask for it to get your money's worth. Overall, this is a spot we'll absolutely keep coming back to!

When I was handed a bag and asked if I could eat in, one employee looked to the other, who replied "I guess" -- as if my staying was an imposition. I've been sitting here and haven't been offered so much as a glass of water. To top it off, I ordered my eggs over medium and they came out with a fully hard yolk. A small detail, but it matters -- especially when the rest of the experience is already falling short. Hard to recommend when both the service and the food miss the mark.

We got their iconic Poi Mochi Doughnut, Coco Puff, and Hawaiian Butter Mochi. We were impressed by all particularly the last one with the huge portion that we could even bring home and still so so good. Perfectly chewy with slight crunch on top from the sugar and cinnamon. The Coco Puff was another pleasantful one, with chocolate custard inside and chantily (salted caramel alike) crunch layer on top that I was really fond of. Poi doughnut was similar to any other mochi doughnut, just featuring their iconic taro-alike local gem. If you wanna try multiple local signature sweets all at once certainly go here.

From the moment we walked in, we were immediately greeted and sat down. It was quiet and very peaceful, which I am a HUGE fan of. I hate being in loud overcrowded places so this was already very appealing to us. After reviewing their menu, we were impressed by the choices and the prices. I ordered the loco moco and my boyfriend ordered the Famous fried rice omelette, along with a side of banana pancakes. The food came out within 10 minutes maybe less and the portions were massive! I'm quite picky when it comes to loco mocos because most places don't make them well enough. Usually the friend rice is plain, the patty is overcooked and the gravy is flavorless. HOWEVER, the fried rice was incredible to start, the patty literally melted in my mouth and the gravy was flavored very well and had the perfect amount of salt. If I'm being honest, that was the best loco moco I've eaten at a restaurant ever! My boyfriend's omelette was super good, he had the same fried rice I did and the egg was cooked perfectly. Pancakes were an absolute chefs kiss. I'm a huge sucker for Dennys pancakes over ihop and these pancakes blew Dennys out the door. On top of the food being perfect, the customer service was so good. They never missed a refill, they gave us their house made kimchee to try and WOW! (They sell it in 12oz tubs too) The workers were so so so kind and to top it off they gave us cookies to take home! Not to mention, we only spent $55 for everything we ordered! Great pricing if you ask me. I have not had such a great experience anywhere in a while so this just made my day! I pray blessings on blessings to the people who work here and own the restaurant! I can't wait to come back and try their lunch menu!

Thank you for having fountain drinks. I hate to go on about it, but it's annoying when people have cans and they charge you like four bucks. The big red cup is enough to satisfy thirsty folks like me. A little 12 ounce can is not. So let's see, we got the special which was a French toast. I got to say, giant portions and everything was real tasty. That's actually something that should be called on. The prices is very good for the amount of food you get. I was very happy with this place overall with that. My kid got the ube pancake which she was really happy about it because it's basically like having a slice of cake because it's so big and deliciously sweet I got the sampler cause I couldn't decide but in retrospect, I probably would have gotten the seafood Benedict. Because that was really my favorite of the sampler the Moko was great, but Benedict was amazing. I'm always a little hesitant on reviews for places when a vacationing because there's a bit of a bias, but this place will definitely worth it. We ordered the Da Local Omelette, the Longsilog and I had the ube mascarpone with french toast. Everything was delicious! I didnt get to taste the omelette since my daughter devoured it within a few minutes. I'm taking that as a sign that it was good. I was able to taste the longsilog with the fried rice and it was tasty as well. I might have to tey that next time. The Ube Mascarpone did not disappoint. Very creamy and the right amount of sweetness. Although I coulndt finish it, I did finish the rest when I got home. And while we were eating I noticed that place got full and busy right away.
