Looking to escape the heat? Located just inside of the Foodland at Kamakana Alii is this delicious farm to table menu that is very creatively crafted. We were the first guest to be seated as soon as they opened. The attentive host sat us in a booth, my favorite section. Our server Chuck was wonderful! Very friendly and attentive. He was also the bartended, so of course, I'm going to order an espresso martini right off the bat. I've never experienced a martini with condensed milk before, it tasted like a latte. The stand out meal for me was the salad, it had mochi crunch in it with hints of wasabi. It was so good that i returned the following week for more! pro tip: add crispy shrimp
Great happy hour deal with unique fusion dishes! Food - 5/5 Sooo good! We mostly ordered off the happy hour menu - Brussel sprouts, mushroom pizza, fish tacos, and ume whiskey sour. We also got the strawberry matcha. The flavor combos were so unique and interesting! Service - 5/5 Our server was so friendly and attentive! Ambiance - 5/5 Slightly fancy vibes but still casual!
Foodland did a great job incorporating a restaurant in a grocery store! It's like a little causal "fine dining" vibe where you can dress casually but eat great food! We ordered the burger, braised rib, spicy noodle and miso butterfish. They were all tasty and great! Service was excellent a great waitress!
Burger was so ono and huge! The fries and perfectly crispy and tasty. Sticky ribs were also delicious. Our server was great and the live music was really good. Would definitely recommend for a chill dinner outing
A friend wanted to come here for lunch...off I went. Seated quickly and the hostess was super friendly! The waiter came by and drinks were served. Placed an order for the short rib loco moco and it didn't disappoint. Fork tender meat and a solid gravy makes for a great dish! A must order! Couldn't skip dessert and was told the kulolo and ice cream was the move. Overall a solid option except for the macadamia nut brittle. It was too gummy and stuck to my teeth and I'd probably ask for it to be removed as it ruins the overall dessert. Overall a solid place for lunch located in a grocery store lol.
We were hungry early so decided to try the happy hour here. The prices for happy hour are really reasonable so we ended up getting hand cut fries, the ali'i mushroom pizza, the lechon brussel sprouts and the dumplings. Everything was really good and we really didn't have any complaints. My honey got a beer and I don't remember what kind but it was very cold which was really nice. The ambiance in the restaurant is really nice and service was pretty good as well. I think they were a little short staffed because I only saw a few servers but they managed to take care of everything we needed timely. We'll be back for sure!

Got here on a Sunday afternoon and the place was packed! Didn't make a reservation beforehand, but luckily they were able to accommodate a party of 3 with little to no wait time. Booth seating available along with 4-top tables throughout the establishment that can be combined for bigger parties. Our server was very kind, and cordial. We opted for the lechon style brussels and spicy garlic noodles (this was a snack before our dinner at another establishment). The brussels were an interesting flavor. I would've liked more flavor coming through the overall seasoning of this dish. I was expecting salty, sweet and vinegary, but it missed the mark for me. As for the spicy garlic noodles, this was flavorful, and very rich/buttery. My friend and I split the egg, while the third person in our party opted against it because she didn't care for runny eggs. Perhaps it's a good thing the third person didn't partake in the egg, because as my friend and I were driving to our next destination, we had to make a pit stop to use the restroom, as it seems that something didn't quite sit well with either of our tummies. The 3rd person who didn't eat the egg was completely fine, so not sure if it was the egg or the richness of the dishes. Overall, I would eat here again, though I would try something else on the menu.
I was drawn to the live music and have always wanted to stop by. Nice space and the service was very prompt and informative. Got to hang out here before shopping in Foodland Farms.
Farm to table/local flavors resturant by Foodland. All the pupus were solid, better than the mains. Dumplings and noodles gave me Din Tai Fung vibes . Kulolo sundae was good but Waiahole Poi Factory one is better. Would return again, loved the vibes too had live local music playing.
Met up with some friends for lunch at Mahi'ai Table located inside The Foodland Farms in the Kamakani Ali'i Shopping Center. We were happy to see our favorite Hostess and Waitresses who were still there. We ordered some of our all time favorites like the Korean Sticky Ribs, The Mahi'Ai Cobb, and the Scallion Bread. Freshly made and delicious. We tried one of their newer menu items the Big Boy Mixed plate. It has a nice sampling of Kalbi, Korean Chicken, Local Potato Salad, and Salt and Pepper Shrimp (which was missing! Auwe! ). Unfortunately we didn't catch it until we were already done. But overall we had a good time catching up with old friends and had some good food together.

As far as the food, it's pretty consistent and everyone in our party of 6 was satisfied. The dining area is spacious and clean with good music playing at a perfect volume in the background.

Dinner: Our Mahi'ai table consisted of: -Braised short ribs on a bed garlic rice. (For me) -Half pound burger with fries. (For the husband) Dessert: Came for the Kulolo Haupia Sundae, unfortunately it wasn't available. Hopefully next time. I ordered the Kona coffee mud pie with chocolate sauce. $11 Great Choice! It's Chocolate & Kona coffee gelato, chocolate cake, warm chocolate sauce and topped with puffed rice crunch. Perfect for sharing. Everything we ate was delicious & satisfying. If you're in the area, I suggest Mahi'ai Table. Facts: -Support local & to name a few farmers such as Mari's Garden, Ho Farms and MA'O Organic Farms. I came here to celebrate my best friend's birthday, and we left so utterly disappointed that none of us will ever return. I highly recommend avoiding this place if you are planning a special occasion--or any meal at all. Our experience was a disaster from start to finish: * The Birthday Guest's Meal: The birthday guy ordered the steak frites. The center of his steak arrived raw, and his fries were soggy, limp, and stringy. * The Burger: My other friend ordered a burger. It was entirely uninspired and nothing special; he ended up leaving a quarter of it behind on the plate. * The Anykine Salad: (MORE LIKE WASABI KINE SALAD) I initially ordered the Anykine Salad with chicken and absolutely hated it. The entire dish tasted overwhelmingly of nothing but wasabi, and the chicken was so incredibly dry it could have been a prop. * The Dessert: Our server was kind enough to take the salad away. Because I felt awkward sitting at the table without food, I decided to try the chocolate mud pie as a replacement. It was severely freezer-burned and so rock-hard that trying to cut it with a steak knife nearly split the ceramic plate. Nobody at the table enjoyed it and since we paid for it, ate what we could handle, and we left a quarter of it behind yet again. The only saving grace was our server, who was attentive enough to clear the inedible dishes. However, the kitchen's performance was completely unacceptable. I feel terrible for bringing my best friend here for his birthday and subjecting him to such a miserable experience. Mahi ʻai Table is tucked inside what might be the fanciest Foodland I've ever walked into. Seriously, fancy-shmancy grocery store with a proper sit-down restaurant inside. We came just for dessert and I had the lilikoi crème brûlée. SO good. Creamy and tangy, not overly sweet, with that perfect crackly caramelized top. The lilikoi gave it this bright tropical hit that made a classic dessert feel very Hawaii. Did I expect to find one of my favorite desserts of the trip inside a grocery ...Nope -- will I be back - Absolutely !!! read more

Was honestly surprised by the high quality of the food given that it's located within a supermarket. Lots of creative appetizers and mains. Sticky Ribs and Brussels were our favorite appetizers; the Scallion Bread was unfortunately underwhelming. All of the mains were well prepared, although I'd most highly recommend the Butterfish and the Spicy Garlic Noodles with Shrimp. Service is friendly and relatively timely (for Hawaii). Honestly a great spot overall! read more

After my first experience dining here, I brought my family back a couple of weeks later. Sooo good! Very easy to make reservations on their website. In the words of Joey Tribiani "ambiance good, food good, coffee drinks good, service good, vibe good". Proteins were nicely sized and meal portions were large. So impressed by Foodland. If you think this is good, try their restaurant, Redfish in Waikiki at the Wayfinder Hotel. It is a must! The only drawback is the bathrooms are not close by. You need to walk through Foodland's deli and produce which I didn't mind and was likely intentional because it led to shopping after lunch! read more
Called in for reservations in 15 minutes but they said earliest is 30 minutes. Got there early and the restaurant is empty with only a few tables seated. Been here 3 years ago and they did the same thing. Fully staffed lots of food servers working, I can't understand that. Our server was good and attentive. He gave us recommendations. This time we had the Ali'i Mushroom Pizza which was really good but I couldn't taste the white truffle oil. That makes the pizza pop. Also the Anykind Crunch Salad. We ordered this last visit, but this time the mochi crunch was stale and the portion was alot smaller:( The hand-cut fries was good, it reminded me of a burger place right around the corner. Looks burnt but nice and soft inside, very tasty. Also had a Pineapple/tea drink which was refillable and good, very tasty too. We ended up ordering the Kona Coffee Mud Pie. Looks traditional with a different light cookie crunch base. It was just okay but nice to end with a sweet tooth from the savory salted dishes. read more

Often not something you may consider, but they have all of the freshest ingredients, from a top quality grocery store! Great service, Chuck Chuck was amazing. Discovered this spot on yelp. Similar to Et Al at the Kahala Foodland. Mahiai Table is located inside Foodland at Kapolei. I made a reservation just in case it gets busy. We came during brunch hours, not too busy. My friend and I shared two dishes (sweet and savory): - Strawberry Guava Mochi Pancake - Pretty big ones stacked with 3. The pancakes were topped with strawberry, whipped cream, and some guava cookie crumbs. It came out fresh. Soo good. - Short rib loco moco $23 -the meat was sooo tender and flavorful. Really good. It was a nice place to enjoy a brunch date. read more
Mai'ai Table is located inside the Foodland market. We didn't have dinner reservations, so it took 20-30 minutes for a table to be ready, which was fine since we could browse Foodland to pass the time. The dining area is clean and spacious with a full bar. Once seated, we wasted no time ordering drinks and looking over the menu. The house cocktails sounded terrific, but I got the strawberry-lychee lemonade, and it was refreshing and sweet. We started with some delicious appetizers to share--Soy-Glazed Mango Habanero Wings, Steamed Shrimp & Pork Wonton, and Korean Sticky Ribs. All had great flavors, and the ribs were very tender. My main entrée was the Spicy Garlic Noodles, and I really enjoyed it. It was a little on the salty side, but it didn't stop me from devouring it all. You can also add proteins like chicken, fish, and shrimp, but I enjoyed the 7-minute egg that comes with it already. For dessert, we shared the Kulolo Haupia Sundae and Kona Coffee Mud Pie--both were decadent and a satisfying finish to our meal. There was also live music for dinner. I forgot the musician's name, but he covered some great popular and local tunes. I had to tip him on a couple of favorite songs he covered. The staff was kind and attentive. Checking in regularly but not overbearing. I would come back again when I'm back on vacation in the area. An enjoyable experience overall. read more

This is one of my family's favorite lunch spots and here's why: They quickly accomodated our party of 6, and our server brought out water right away. When we ordered, I forgot an appetizer I wanted and it seemed to be no problem at all to adjust our order. We got the Manila Clams and the Scallion Bread to start, both light enough to leave room for our entrees. I will say, the Scallion Bread (a pizza-like dish) and the Ali'i Mushroom Pizza were both very oily. My pizza had oil soaked through the crust making it a bit chewy. The egg for the Braised Beef Loco Moco were asked to be over-medium, but came out a perfect over-hard. Similarly, my brother's over-easy egg came out over medium, but I think Hawai'i just has different standards. As for the service, Mo was absolute perfection! Everything was perfectly timed from the time between our pupus and entrees to all the refills we didn't have to ask for. My aunties never had an empty drink. Although, the empty glasses could have been cleared for maximum table space. After the check was dropped, nothing but drinks were left on our table, 10/10 table maintenance. Overall, everything was amazing! Breakfast is only served on weekends until 4:30pm, so we will be back for that. read more

I was curious on the Hawaiian meaning for...MAHI'AI so I looked it up on google. According to google, mahi'ai means..."Farmer, cultivator or agriculturalist." Now, I know the meaning behind the restaurant's name which is...MAHI'AI TABLE. As you can see, the restaurant is a farm to table concept! I love the fact that they use local and fresh ingredients in their dishes. Supporting local is my kinda' jam! The restaurant is located in Foodland Farms at Ka Makana Ali'i Kapolei. It is a clean, spacious, cool and a hip atmosphere. The perfect place to hang out with family and friends. I've come here many times to celebrate birthdays, holidays and special occasions. I never went home disappointed! I've always had AMAZING service, AMAZING food and AMAZING live entertainment! I enjoy going to MT during their PAU HANA from 2-6 pm because of their drinks and grinds specials. Here are our favorites: Each dish is brok da mout ono! *SOY-GLAZED MANGO HABANERO WINGS *LECHON STYLE BRUSSELS *FISH TACOS *SCALLION BREAD *LUALUALEI VALLEY GREENS From the dessert menu, we love the... *KULOLO HAUPIA SUNDAE which is to die for! Mahi'ai Table has quickly become one of our go-to spots in Kapolei. We've been here a couple of times now, and it consistently delivers that fresh, farm-to-table quality that's hard to beat in the area. The atmosphere strikes a great balance--professional enough for a nice sit-down meal, but still feels like a comfortable local gem right inside Foodland Farms. On our most recent visit, we started with the Steamed Shrimp & Pork Wontons, which have a great kick from the garlic chili crunch. The Yukari Crusted Ahi Club was another winner, with the shiso adding a nice herbal touch to the fish. We also tried the Spicy Garlic Noodles with Furikake Salmon; the noodles themselves were excellent and packed with flavor, though the salmon was a bit on the dry side this time and could have used a little more seasoning to really pop. For drinks, you can't go wrong with the Ube Condensed Milk Latte-- It was delicious, though worth noting that the ube flavor is a bit more subtle and mostly blends into the coffee taste rather than overpowering it. We finished things off with the Kona Coffee Mud Pie, which was the perfect rich ending to the meal. The overall experience keeps us coming back. It's always a solid choice for supporting local. read more

We found this restaurant looking for something last minute and wow this became my favorite restaurant in Oahu! The service was quick, efficient. The waiter checked on us multiple times throughout our meal. We got the braised short rib and the miso fish and both were phenomenal! The miso fish was an absolute must try, it was flaky and perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned! Dessert was amazing as well. We had the mud pie and the haopia ice cream, both were the best desserts we've had on the island. We're definitely coming back. read more

Went to Mahiʻai Table for pau hana and had a really nice experience overall. The atmosphere was great, and they had a live singer that night which added a fun, relaxed vibe. We were seated promptly and greeted right away, which always sets the tone. For drinks, I ordered the pickled mango margarita. I'm not sure I'd order that one again--the pickled mango (which I believe may be from Jade's) gets very hard once it's in an ice-cold drink and doesn't quite taste the same. I also had a mojito, which I loved--the presentation was beautiful and the fresh mint on top really made it. We shared a few appetizers, and the poke was the standout. It was light, fresh, and really well done. I'd never had poke prepared with diced tomatoes and onions the way they did it, but it worked beautifully. You could tell the quality was there, and I'd absolutely order it again. Overall, it's a great place to go with friends or family, and I'm excited to come back for dinner. read more

This was another place that was highly recommended to us. We did meet up with family for lunch here. This restaurant was located inside of Foodland Farms. Foodland is where we usually shop for groceries, treats and poke when we visit the island. The menu has a wide variety to choose from and again, it was difficult to decide what to eat. The Staff were super friendly! And the restaurant wasnt very busy at the time we were there. Not as noisy, as most places. We started off with some Steamed Shrimp and Pork Wontons, these were delicious because they were served with a sauce that was very tasty and had that garlic chili crunch on top. So good! As for our lunch, I ordered fish tacos. The catch of the day was swordfish. So, I basically ordered swordfish tacos and they were pretty good! We also ordered the fresh local ahi burger, which was very tasty. We definitely had a good time enjoying our lunch. I recommend this place and we will be back again to try more. read more

Got there in time for happy hour, which ended at 6pm. We ordered the mushroom pizza, shrimp and pork dumplings, spicy garlic noodles, and half pound burger. Everything tasted great and the mushroom pizza is a must if you go. Service was good and someone came around to fill water about 3 times. There was also live music on Friday night and I totally did not feel like I was in a grocery store lol read more

This is the 2nd time I've been here. This time around the service was lacking. There wasn't that many customers yet the servers didn't seem as attentive. It took a while for someone to ask to take our orders, we had to ask for water and we were checked up on only once. Food was ok. We stuck to the Happy Hour menu. I recommend the picked mango margarita. The space is nice, comfortable chairs and lots of seating. I enjoy the live music. The west side don't have much options for HH spots but Mahiai is ok. read more

Will you be open for Thanksgiving lunch this year?
Mahi'ai table will be open at 10:30am. Last seating is at 2pm. Reservations are recommended. They are offering a prefixed Thanksgiving menu as well as their regular lunch menu.
How many people does the family style feed?
Depending on how much you eat, I would say 2-4. If you are getting a bunch of dishes and everyone just has a little, it would be good for up to 5 people. If you just get one dish, then I would say 2-3.

Not required but definitely recommended. They are on the OpenTable app if you have that and you can also make any special requests that way too.
