Ahhh... FINALLY!! I've been wanting to comeback since I've been here back in December with friends for a Christmas get together. Dinner: Our Mahi'ai table consisted of: -Braised short ribs on a bed garlic rice. (For me) -Half pound burger with fries. (For the husband) Dessert: Came for the Kulolo Haupia Sundae, unfortunately it wasn't available. Hopefully next time. I ordered the Kona coffee mud pie with chocolate sauce. $11 Great Choice! It's Chocolate & Kona coffee gelato, chocolate cake, warm chocolate sauce and topped with puffed rice crunch. Perfect for sharing. Everything we ate was delicious & satisfying. If you're in the area, I suggest Mahi'ai Table. Facts: -Support local & to name a few farmers such as Mari's Garden, Ho Farms and MA'O Organic Farms. See the menu for ALL the local businesses you'll be supporting. -Live local entertainment. -Reservations can be made on open table or call the restaurant directly 808-693-7408 **Suggestion for restaurant menu, pictures of each item to see what the items on the menu look like for a non-yelper.

Mahi'ai Table has quickly become one of our go-to spots in Kapolei. We've been here a couple of times now, and it consistently delivers that fresh, farm-to-table quality that's hard to beat in the area. The atmosphere strikes a great balance--professional enough for a nice sit-down meal, but still feels like a comfortable local gem right inside Foodland Farms. On our most recent visit, we started with the Steamed Shrimp & Pork Wontons, which have a great kick from the garlic chili crunch. The Yukari Crusted Ahi Club was another winner, with the shiso adding a nice herbal touch to the fish. We also tried the Spicy Garlic Noodles with Furikake Salmon; the noodles themselves were excellent and packed with flavor, though the salmon was a bit on the dry side this time and could have used a little more seasoning to really pop. For drinks, you can't go wrong with the Ube Condensed Milk Latte-- It was delicious, though worth noting that the ube flavor is a bit more subtle and mostly blends into the coffee taste rather than overpowering it. We finished things off with the Kona Coffee Mud Pie, which was the perfect rich ending to the meal. The overall experience keeps us coming back. It's always a solid choice for supporting local.

Went to Mahiʻai Table for pau hana and had a really nice experience overall. The atmosphere was great, and they had a live singer that night which added a fun, relaxed vibe. We were seated promptly and greeted right away, which always sets the tone. For drinks, I ordered the pickled mango margarita. I'm not sure I'd order that one again--the pickled mango (which I believe may be from Jade's) gets very hard once it's in an ice-cold drink and doesn't quite taste the same. I also had a mojito, which I loved--the presentation was beautiful and the fresh mint on top really made it. We shared a few appetizers, and the poke was the standout. It was light, fresh, and really well done. I'd never had poke prepared with diced tomatoes and onions the way they did it, but it worked beautifully. You could tell the quality was there, and I'd absolutely order it again. Overall, it's a great place to go with friends or family, and I'm excited to come back for dinner.

Discovered this spot on yelp. Similar to Et Al at the Kahala Foodland. Mahiai Table is located inside Foodland at Kapolei. I made a reservation just in case it gets busy. We came during brunch hours, not too busy. My friend and I shared two dishes (sweet and savory): - Strawberry Guava Mochi Pancake - Pretty big ones stacked with 3. The pancakes were topped with strawberry, whipped cream, and some guava cookie crumbs. It came out fresh. Soo good. - Short rib loco moco $23 -the meat was sooo tender and flavorful. Really good. It was a nice place to enjoy a brunch date.

Mai'ai Table is located inside the Foodland market. We didn't have dinner reservations, so it took 20-30 minutes for a table to be ready, which was fine since we could browse Foodland to pass the time. The dining area is clean and spacious with a full bar. Once seated, we wasted no time ordering drinks and looking over the menu. The house cocktails sounded terrific, but I got the strawberry-lychee lemonade, and it was refreshing and sweet. We started with some delicious appetizers to share--Soy-Glazed Mango Habanero Wings, Steamed Shrimp & Pork Wonton, and Korean Sticky Ribs. All had great flavors, and the ribs were very tender. My main entrée was the Spicy Garlic Noodles, and I really enjoyed it. It was a little on the salty side, but it didn't stop me from devouring it all. You can also add proteins like chicken, fish, and shrimp, but I enjoyed the 7-minute egg that comes with it already. For dessert, we shared the Kulolo Haupia Sundae and Kona Coffee Mud Pie--both were decadent and a satisfying finish to our meal. There was also live music for dinner. I forgot the musician's name, but he covered some great popular and local tunes. I had to tip him on a couple of favorite songs he covered. The staff was kind and attentive. Checking in regularly but not overbearing. I would come back again when I'm back on vacation in the area. An enjoyable experience overall.

This was another place that was highly recommended to us. We did meet up with family for lunch here. This restaurant was located inside of Foodland Farms. Foodland is where we usually shop for groceries, treats and poke when we visit the island. The menu has a wide variety to choose from and again, it was difficult to decide what to eat. The Staff were super friendly! And the restaurant wasnt very busy at the time we were there. Not as noisy, as most places. We started off with some Steamed Shrimp and Pork Wontons, these were delicious because they were served with a sauce that was very tasty and had that garlic chili crunch on top. So good! As for our lunch, I ordered fish tacos. The catch of the day was swordfish. So, I basically ordered swordfish tacos and they were pretty good! We also ordered the fresh local ahi burger, which was very tasty. We definitely had a good time enjoying our lunch. I recommend this place and we will be back again to try more.

We tried Mahi'ai table for late lunch, and we had a great experience. We went a little bit past lunch time, and there wasn't a wait for us. The host was very thoughtful and took care of my daughter's stroller after showing us to our table. All the servers/staff were really wonderful. They checked in on every table and were very polite and friendly. I ordered the short rib loco moco and a cheese pizza for my toddler. The loco moco had crispy fried onions that paired well with the dish. The gravy was tasty. My daughter liked her pizza a lot. For us, the portions were good and we requested to go boxes. The place was very clean and spacious. It seems like a great place to go for any occasion because the setting doesn't feel restricted. I would go back here again to try different menu items.

I was curious on the Hawaiian meaning for...MAHI'AI so I looked it up on google. According to google, mahi'ai means..."Farmer, cultivator or agriculturalist." Now, I know the meaning behind the restaurant's name which is...MAHI'AI TABLE. As you can see, the restaurant is a farm to table concept! I love the fact that they use local and fresh ingredients in their dishes. Supporting local is my kinda' jam! The restaurant is located in Foodland Farms at Ka Makana Ali'i Kapolei. It is a clean, spacious, cool and a hip atmosphere. The perfect place to hang out with family and friends. I've come here many times to celebrate birthdays, holidays and special occasions. I never went home disappointed! I've always had AMAZING service, AMAZING food and AMAZING live entertainment! I enjoy going to MT during their PAU HANA from 2-6 pm because of their drinks and grinds specials. Here are our favorites: Each dish is brok da mout ono! *SOY-GLAZED MANGO HABANERO WINGS *LECHON STYLE BRUSSELS *FISH TACOS *SCALLION BREAD *LUALUALEI VALLEY GREENS From the dessert menu, we love the... *KULOLO HAUPIA SUNDAE which is to die for! So, if you looking for ONO grinds, ONO service and ONO entertainment, go check out MAHI'AI TABLE! You'll thank me for that!

Full service restaurant inside of Foodland Marketplace. The hostess is always so sweet and welcoming. It's a very clean, light and bright room with nice furnishings. The menu has a lot of great options and everything I've had there is delicious.

This is the 2nd time I've been here. This time around the service was lacking. There wasn't that many customers yet the servers didn't seem as attentive. It took a while for someone to ask to take our orders, we had to ask for water and we were checked up on only once. Food was ok. We stuck to the Happy Hour menu. I recommend the picked mango margarita. The space is nice, comfortable chairs and lots of seating. I enjoy the live music. The west side don't have much options for HH spots but Mahiai is ok.

First time here. Came to try their special restaurant week set menu. Food was delicious, everything was nicely seasoned. Waitstaff was friendly and the restaurant clean and spacious

The front person made us wait for 30 minutes, there were 7 tables open, she said most of them were reserved. The whole lilacs was half empty...we came for the music, by the time we sat down . The musician was packing up his equipment. Was a bummer , we only came for the live music . The food is ok.

Restaurant Week menu through Sunday 16th november.

I watched a video on Instagram of somebody reviewing the Restaurant Week offering here and because I love crab I made a reservation before the special went away. We've never eaten here before but it is easy to find in the Foodland farms. The decor is super cute and you wouldn't know it was in a grocery store. They also had live music that evening which really added to the ambiance. We already knew what we were getting when we got there but we did look at the menu and decided we do have to come back and try some of their normal offerings. We opted to go with the restaurant Week special which is a Dungeness crab Singaporean black pepper style, Lap Cheong fried rice, and garlic ong choy. We also decided to add on the drink option which was a large Singha beer and two Calpico and Yuzu shots. The drinks came first and the waitress poured them into two glasses so essentially we got two beers and two shots for $18. I was DD so I took a sip of the beer and let my boyfriend have both glasses but I really enjoyed the shot. I sipped it instead of taking it straight and it was really nice and fruity from the yuzu. The food came out pretty quickly and everything looked delicious. They also give you a bowl for the crab shells and gloves should you not wish to get dirty. We can't eat with gloves (yuck) so we just got messy but they did give us some wet naps at the end to clean up. I tasted the pepper sauce first and was surprised at how tasty it was. I was kind of concerned it was going to have some seasonings that I didn't like but it was absolutely perfect and it had a nice bit of heat to it on the end. We actually ended up mixing the sauce in with the fried rice. Fried rice was really good as well and I enjoyed the ong choy in the garlic sauce. Literally throughout the entire meal we kept talking about how good the crab in the black pepper sauce was. Before tip our bill was $76 for the food and the four drinks which I thought was pretty reasonable. The last day of their special is Sunday 16 November so make sure you run out and grab it before it's gone.

Ask the Community - Mahi’ai Table

Will you be open for Thanksgiving lunch this year?

Mahi'ai table will be open at 10:30am. Last seating is at 2pm. Reservations are recommended. They are offering a prefixed Thanksgiving menu as well as their regular lunch menu.

    Is breakfast only on weekends?

    Yes only Saturday and Sunday

How many people does the family style feed?

Depending on how much you eat, I would say 2-4. If you are getting a bunch of dishes and everyone just has a little, it would be good for up to 5 people. If you just get one dish, then I would say 2-3.

    Do you have live music?

    Yes, they do.

    Are reservations required or helpful?

Not required but definitely recommended. They are on the OpenTable app if you have that and you can also make any special requests that way too.

This establishment is fairly large and have a regular seating tables area and a bar area. The bar area was pretty popping with people watching the on-going football game. (they do have tvs all over the bar so you should be able to watch in most seats. It is fairly cold in here, like I was kind of freezing and had to grab a jacket from the car. Our server was super friendly and we got our orders in: We ordered: * Brick Oven "Super" Pizza: 7/10. We ordered this without black olives because I do not like black olives. This was okay. There were many toppings but since there were so many, there were much less of each topping (which meant that you'd really only get a tiny sprinkle of like beef for example). I felt like the pizza was just mediocre. The crust was unique, a twisted shape but it just made the crust more dense and not as enjoyable to eat for me as I liked a fluffier doughy crust. I also felt that there weren't enough cheese for the amount of toppings on this pizza. * Pepperoni, Sausage, and Jalapenos Pizza: 7.2/10. My friend ordered this so I didn't really eat as much of it. It was ok, same complaints regarding the crust. I think due to it having less toppings the cheese ratio was much better this time around. * Buffalo (Hot) Wings: 9/10, my friend said the main star of the show would be the wings and he was not lying! These wings were large and meaty compared to the tiny wings you'd often get at bars and most establishments. They were fried to perfection and tossed in the chosen sauce. The buffalo was perfect and I enjoyed it with ranch. * Lemon Pepper: 8.2/10, same positives, I just don't care for the lemon pepper flavor. * Garlic Parm: 9.2/10: same positives, I love the garlicky flavor of this wing along with the cheesiness from the parm. * Chicken Alfredo Pasta: 4/10. We do NOT recommend this. The chicken quality was terrible, it was like stringy. We think it is the premade chicken meant to be shredded for pizzas recooked into the pasta. The alfredo sauce was also not very good, just tasted poorly made and overly peppered. Honestly I would totally come back for the wings and only the wings. Recommend this spot to grab some wings and watch a game with some friends!

She came back maybe about 5-8 mins later to take our order, not before we requested if we could get water. Fastforward, like i stated at the beginning it was crowded on the inside when we walked in, well we get our food and mid way thru realize that our drinks were never filled, no one came out to ck on us or the other tables at that matter. We ordered extra carrots and celery that never came out, at that point I was like forget it. We needed boxes and refill of water since NONE came throughout our whole dinner. I decided to go get the boxes and request water, tell me why when I walked inside, the only table that was occupied was the party that was there in the corner. The rest of the place was empty and tell me why ALL the workers were literally just standing near the bar/kitchen. they see me walking in, no one seems to think "oh we havent checked on them" they waited till I approached them and asked for a box and water. Up until me going inside I gave them grace because like I mentioned I knew they were busy. But once I walked in and seen every single staff just standing there, I was disappointed. The food was good, but lets just say, the customer service was not it. Glad I got my fixed, as I havent eaten at Brick Oven in years, it will probably years before I come back....

I didn't even get a photo of them all there's a whole shelf that I missed with stuff that wasn't cold and custom boxes. Place was extremely clean well kept and organized. It was definitely nice that they had an outdoor area as well as an indoor area with the bar. Plenty of seating bring your friends. Was happy to sit with the manager and the bartender and chat! Place was great. We would absolutely come back again next time we are in the area.

Our server informed us that it had been off and on for the past week, but went down since Friday. Not good for only being open for a year. They only had appetizers and salads, along with their bar, which offers a wide range of beers and wine by the glass, along with cocktails. Since we were technically "working", that had to wait for another time. Our server, Erin, was so nice and apologetic, even tho it wasn't her fault. For obvious reasons it was fairly slow, for a normal Sunday lunch crowd. Since we were pressed for time, we ended up just ordering a couple of appetizers; the sausage bites and chicken. They were both tempura style battered, and served with sauce or mustard on the side. The sausage had a slight spice to it, which was nice, and it was served piping hot pot of the fryer. A fork would've been nice, but they were small enough to eat by hand, but be careful, because they're pretty tough to bite thru. The chicken bites were smaller and easier to handle, although they were a bit dry, so the ranch furikake dipping sauce helped. We were out within 20 minutes, so very fast, and I'm hoping the griddle gets repaired soon, so I can try their burgers.
