Great happy hour!
Jackie P.

Can't beat the daily happy hour and live music. Yes it's a hotel bar but don't let that deter you. Local musicians every Thurs - Sun. Happy hour prices from 5-7pm and the best bartenders! Stay indoors for the tunes or head to the really nice outdoor patio to snuggle up by the fire pit. Food you ask? Yes! I 5-star recommend the fish tacos (you get 4!) and the Kalua pork quesadilla. Drinks? Don't miss out on the flavored margaritas!

Plenty of seating outside, where they'll provide you with plastic cups if you want to enjoy the breeze. Oh, and a fire pit after dark!

BRUNCH REVIEW! Food: 5/5…read moreService: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Located inside of Foodland Farms Kapolei, this place is easy to find. Lots of parking available as well since this is part of a shopping center. Made reservations via OpenTable and glad that I did because I noticed this place was pretty busy for brunch. I believe brunch is on Saturdays and Sundays. My party and I shared the Korean Chicken & Mochi Waffles and the Two Eggs with Anykine Fried Rice and Portuguese Sausage. We also ordered a bottle of mimosa to share. Portions aren't really big but this was enough food for the both of us. Food was delicious and we recommend ordering them. We didn't realize that the spread for the mochi waffles was wasabi-based, so beware if you aren't a fan of wasabi. Our server was friendly and helpful. I loved the ambiance of this place. Great place for families and catching up with friends. I recommend stopping in!

I highly recommend avoiding this place if you are planning a special occasion--or any meal at all. Our experience was a disaster from start to finish: * The Birthday Guest's Meal: The birthday guy ordered the steak frites. The center of his steak arrived raw, and his fries were soggy, limp, and stringy. * The Burger: My other friend ordered a burger. It was entirely uninspired and nothing special; he ended up leaving a quarter of it behind on the plate. * The Anykine Salad: (MORE LIKE WASABI KINE SALAD) I initially ordered the Anykine Salad with chicken and absolutely hated it. The entire dish tasted overwhelmingly of nothing but wasabi, and the chicken was so incredibly dry it could have been a prop. * The Dessert: Our server was kind enough to take the salad away. Because I felt awkward sitting at the table without food, I decided to try the chocolate mud pie as a replacement. It was severely freezer-burned and so rock-hard that trying to cut it with a steak knife nearly split the ceramic plate. Nobody at the table enjoyed it and since we paid for it, ate what we could handle, and we left a quarter of it behind yet again. The only saving grace was our server, who was attentive enough to clear the inedible dishes. However, the kitchen's performance was completely unacceptable. I feel terrible for bringing my best friend here for his birthday and subjecting him to such a miserable experience. Save your money and go somewhere else that actually cares about food quality.

Since we moved away, I wanted to make sure we enjoyed Mickey waffles at least once during our stay. I ordered the kids' Mickey Waffles and the adult size. It came with a choice of meat and fresh fruit. The waffles were soft, fluffy, and dusted with powdered sugar. The bacon was crispy. My nephew really liked the Portuguese sausage. I also ordered the Aulani Special blended drink, a mac nut mocha blended with your choice syrup, while my brother got the iced version of the Aulani Special with whipped cream. The blended Aulani Special was good! Nice consistency, flavor and it was nice on a humid day. Off the hook is an outdoor casual dining area. There is bar seating and tables that you seat yourself. What a difference! So glad we decided to give them another chance!…read more Since my last review, we've been back twice, and I have to say, they have really turned things around! Both experiences were so much better, and I'm happy to give credit where credit is due. Our first visit back was a great experience! We sat at the bar, and the bartender was fantastic! It was an extremely busy night, but what really stood out was her communication. She let us know upfront that the kitchen was running behind and that it might be about 30 minutes before we could place a food order. We really appreciated her honesty and keeping us informed. We didn't mind waiting because we knew what to expect. Sure enough, about 30 minutes later, we were able to order, and our food came out fresh, piping hot, and delicious! Great service and communication made all the difference! Our second visit was another online pickup order, which was exactly where things went wrong during our previous experience. We ordered two burgers and fries, with a scheduled pickup time of 7:05 PM. We arrived around 7:15 PM, and to our pleasant surprise, our food was already ready! The staff even took the extra step to double-check our order to make sure everything was correct. Such a simple gesture, but one that really shows attention to detail and customer service. I'm a firm believer in giving businesses a second chance, and I'm so glad we did! The food has always been something we've enjoyed, but seeing the improvement in service, communication, and efficiency makes the experience that much better. It's not always about everything going perfectly, but how a business handles things when they're busy or running behind. These last two visits showed us that they've made positive changes, and we truly appreciate it. Thank you, Village Bottle Shop, for turning our previous disappointment into two great experiences! We're happy to be back and look forward to returning again!

We went on a Saturday, getting to the resort before 4:30 and then up we went with our special key from the front desk. We didn't have to use the key. When we got to the room, it is unassuming as it blends in with other rooms...except not. Followed the instructions on the door and it was so cool we closed the door and video taped it. I think it threw off the people working as they expected patrons. The walk in the hallway threw me off a little but after you walk through the small room...WOW. All I had to say was WOW. Because I had no expectation everything was so exciting. There was a "rooftop bar" feel to the place and the view was so nice. (Although I could do with less tree-view) It would have been nice to have been early enough to get seats at the railing but we didn't know you could get there before 4:30 and there was already a few groups there. Seating is first come first serve so we opted for a high top table tucked in the back that the 4 of us could sit and chat but still enjoy the view. I took a few photos but mostly enjoyed the ambiance and the girl talk. I don't know why I thought there would be light pupus but nope, no food. Just some olives and nuts. I wish I took photos of the drink selection menu because I don't remember what was in my drink. The names of the cocktails were fun though! I enjoyed a "Lifted 'Yota" which was fun and tasty. They also serve mocktails if you don't want to have the alcohol. All in all, I loved the experience we had and my friends and I look forward to coming back. I mean, there's an extensive beverage list and I must try something else!
