Steak bites

The Olelo Room was really delicious. They serve small plate dishes. We really liked the steak bites. The spicy teriyaki sauce complimented the steak's flavor really well. Our server was really good and made this a great experience.

A great place to hangout and enjoy some small plates and appetizers. I really like the sushi here. I wish they still served oysters but there are other great dishes to choose from.

Casual hotel lounge offering cocktails & small plates, plus live Hawaiian music & an outside patio. We sat indoors by the bar area on the ground floor, the view is awesome to look outside too! I was so full and tired from all the events, I just got the karage chicken and a bowl of rice. It was so GOOD and hit the right spot!!! The server was friendly and attentive.

Pretty dinner time scenery

It's always nice to visit the Aulani resort when I come to Oahu. The Olelo is a great place to share some dishes and have a few drinks while "talking story". It's a bit overpriced but it's a Disney resort so it's expected. We split a couple of sushi rolls which were good, sliders that were underwhelming (I don't recommend them. Dry and unappetizing) and a pineapple cobbler that was pretty decent. The fries are great. My pina colada was mixed really well. Not overly sweet and the correct amount of alcohol. Service is always great. The servers are always pleasant and check on you to make sure you're having a positive experience. They always have a pair of musicians providing entertainment playing mellow Hawaiian music in the background. A relaxing way to spend a few hours on a warm summer evening.

Small seating area for something to drink. In the morning, they offer a house-made Malasadas for $5 each or 1/2 dozen for $28 as of the date of this review. They're heavenly, puffy pillows of deliciousness. They then close until 5pm. We did not have the opportunity to try their food in the evening, but if it's anything like their Malasadas, I'm sure it's delicious.

Came here for the first time with my friends. Everyone knows and loves Leonard's Malasadas, but my friends swear by the Olelo's Malasadas being either just as delicious or even better whaaaaaat. Anyways, we order about 10 malasadas. They're definitely larger than Leonards. In fact, they look like the buns used for the McDonald's hamburgers. Anyways, it is very delicious as well and even more so when it's warm. We basically smashed most of the box within minutes lol. Overall, definitely something to grab while you're here. I probably wouldn't drive all the way here to pick it up, but I'd say it's delicious in its own way so I can't really compare the 02 malasada shops, but at least one doesn't have a crazy long line and another has the beautiful surroundings of Disney characters. The staff were fast and friendly. Parking is located in their paid parking garage, but don't forget to validate your ticket. Lots of tables in and around the Aulani Hotel. If you're not a guest of the hotel, I believe you're not allowed outside so be mindful of that.

Godzilla Roll- so good!

What a wonderful evening!! Loved the vibes. We came here for dinner after watching the sunset at the lagoon. We weren't super hungry but so glad we came. For drinks, we loved the pineapple ginger mocktail, the lychee martini, and a gorgeous pineapple IPA. For dinner, the star of the show was the steak bites- melted in your mouth with crisp pickled onions! Loved the Godzilla roll. Also enjoyed the spicy edamame and the pork au gratin. Chrissy helped us and she was just phenomenal... made our evening! We loved today. It was the perfect place to end our night in Oahu!

We went for an early-ish dinner and greatly enjoyed the experience! The sushi was good, albeit on the pricier side, even for Aulani. My husband got the burger sliders and enjoyed those as well. Our server was warm and efficient. The real star of the show is the restaurant itself! The inside is so beautiful with all of the wood and Hawaiian words listed as the alphabet. There are seats both inside and outside and you can't go wrong with either.

As a local, we love the Olelo Room. All staff speak Hawaiian, the menu, the decor, everything highlights the Hawaiian language and has clear intentions of teaching and educating its consumers. The live musicians that play here are all local artists who are known as some of the best Hawaiian musicians that our islands can offer. We always come to support Uncles Jukebox and Nick Lum (from the band Keauhou). The sweetest getaway from everyday life for locals or the best way to experience Hawaiian language when on vacation. The food is all sushi or appetizers but more than enough selections to have a full meal. The drink selection and cocktail selection is expansive and they have something for everyone... even the servers are pretty knowledgeable with suggestions if you're unsure of what to get. I've never had a dish I didn't enjoy! Of course it's pricey but understandable considering where you are and the ambiance provided. Definitely a splurge but I think it's worth it.

Walked in at 8 pm and there was no wait. They have beautiful decor with the wood carvings labeled in Hawaiian. The carvings were really cute, tying Disney characters in some of the figurines. The patio seating was relaxing with dimmed lighting at the tables. The biggest surprise was that they feature famous local musicians every evening. On our visit, Jerry Santos was performing! We got to see him perform so many songs that we grew up with, in person! The appetizers and drinks were all great, some of which carried over from the Makahiki menu. So fun to have that intimate setting to enjoy local music and good food.

Walked in at night on a weekend without reservations. Lots of seating in the lounge/ bar area. I liked the ambiance and cleanliness of the restaurant. Service was also great. Just didn't care for the food. It was typical hotel food. If you are a sushi/sashimi lover, maybe don't get the Moriawase Platter. The salmon didn't taste fresh.

This was such a great atmosphere for a cute date night! We were seated as walk-ins within just five minutes. Our waitress was so kind and helpful, offering great recommendations for both food and drinks. The live music really added to the overall vibe -- it made the evening feel extra special. They even surprised us with some to-go cookies to celebrate our babymoon and birthday! It was such a thoughtful touch. I would definitely come back here again.

Malassadas! So fluffy and fresh.
Anna T.

This review is strictly for the malassadas that they sell here in the morning. They also have a fancier coffee carafe to fill up your reusable cup, which is nice. The Portuguese donuts were not cheap by any means, typical resort prices. But the donuts were big and fluffy, very delicious and filling. So we came at least twice to get a half dozen in the morning. They were a big hit with the kids. This is the same done it that they serve you at the character breakfast at the start except you can purchase as many as you like :)

We went on a Saturday, getting to the resort before 4:30 and then up we went with our special key from the front desk. We didn't have to use the key. When we got to the room, it is unassuming as it blends in with other rooms...except not. Followed the instructions on the door and it was so cool we closed the door and video taped it. I think it threw off the people working as they expected patrons. The walk in the hallway threw me off a little but after you walk through the small room...WOW. All I had to say was WOW. Because I had no expectation everything was so exciting. There was a "rooftop bar" feel to the place and the view was so nice. (Although I could do with less tree-view) It would have been nice to have been early enough to get seats at the railing but we didn't know you could get there before 4:30 and there was already a few groups there. Seating is first come first serve so we opted for a high top table tucked in the back that the 4 of us could sit and chat but still enjoy the view. I took a few photos but mostly enjoyed the ambiance and the girl talk. I don't know why I thought there would be light pupus but nope, no food. Just some olives and nuts. I wish I took photos of the drink selection menu because I don't remember what was in my drink. The names of the cocktails were fun though! I enjoyed a "Lifted 'Yota" which was fun and tasty. They also serve mocktails if you don't want to have the alcohol. All in all, I loved the experience we had and my friends and I look forward to coming back. I mean, there's an extensive beverage list and I must try something else!

Ask what the special is for the day since it's not always posted. Each time we were there the place was only about half full which is a shame since service was excellent and staff was so pleasant and attentive. Everything is open so you get the nice breeze and it's a relaxing vibe. What's the best part about going to a bar/restaurant?…read more The company of course! But if you're lucky enough to get deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelicious bar food at happy hour prices, & great service from an attentive staff, BOOM! Easy "5 star" rating on Yelp! One of my childhood friends came home to da 808, so we decided to do a small get together at 808 Craft House, as the the bar/restaurant was close to the Aulani Hotel (where my friend was staying). The restaurant has an open air, causal atmosphere, with several TV's for sports events. I didn't look at the menu as I was too busy chatting away & catching up, but my friend did the ordering & got several plates of Frrrrrrried Chicken wings, pizzas, & onion rings. Of course at "808 Craft House" they are known for their craft beers, so many glasses of beers were ordered that afternoon. Unfortunately for me, I no longer can partake in alcohol, but those beers sure looked refreshing. I was totally surprised about the parking situation for this strip mall. Why do I say this? Unfortunately at this strip mall, there is NO FREE parking at all (not the restaurant's fault). You have to use your smart phone & scan the QR code to pay for parking if you choose to visit any business on this strip mall property. I ended up paying $16.20 for 3 hours parking. That was the only bummer thing about visiting this strip mall.

The booking was very straightforward, they don't charge a space rental fee as long as your party spends at least $1000 on food and drinks altogether. It doesn't have to be on one check, as long as it all adds up. We were able to decorate the area a bit for the party. Of course if you plan on partying here be wary of making too much of a mess or damaging things. Kiki then helped me preorder all the food for the party, and she also assisted with the surprise. Ashley was our server for the night and she did amazing! I was bothering her and Kiki and asking them questions all night and they were so nice and patient the entire time. Everyone was so kind and accommodating, it was as if they were family friends :) the speed of service was great too. I know we put the bartenders to WERK but the drinks still came out in such a timely manner. Finally, the food and drinks were BOMB. I've only been here a couple times before this, so I got to try a lot of items i haven't before at the party. Everyone was raving about the food! So many people who haven't been to DB grill before said they found their new spot. And if you like to drink, they have something for everyone. My grandma kept asking for more soju cocktails . The only thing I would warn about is that the AC is poppin upstairs, so bring a jacket. I would give 10 stars if I could. We love the DB grill crew!!!

**DB Grill was a mixed experience for a get-together with friends.**…read more The food was actually pretty good overall. We tried the wings and poke nachos, and both were solid. The portions were good, the prices were decent, and it's the type of menu that works well for sharing with a group. Service was okay. The staff wasn't overly friendly, but they were efficient. Parking was good, and the overall vibe was chill, though it did get a bit noisy. The biggest issue was the condition of the restaurant. The place felt pretty run down. The floors were very dirty, the seats were torn and patched with electrical tape, and the windows were so dirty that we actually thought the restaurant had shut down one day when we were walking by. The bathrooms were also pretty gross, even for a casual bar/restaurant. I wanted to like it more because the food itself was good, but the cleanliness and upkeep really took away from the experience. They definitely need to do a better job maintaining the place. I'd probably only return if I heard they had cleaned up and refreshed the entire restaurant.
