Service from hostesses to servers are all top notch. Ask for the special, vegetarian menu, it's filled with delicious entrees. This is always a great choice for special dinners or occasions.
My wife and I traveled to Hawaii for our honeymoon. This is where we ate the first night and boy did we start off with a bang. My wife and I are already fans of Michael Mina, having eaten at several of his other restaurants, one of my favorites being Bourbon Steak in Nashville. Everything here was a wonderful. Great service with delicious food and drink. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Also the view of the beach was an amazing way to start our honeymoon.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered the small seafood tower to start. For our meals we both enjoyed a seafood entree. My Ahi was cooked to perfection. Obviously since this is a Michael Mina restaurant it wasn't inexpensive, but I believe the service and quality of food we got was 100% worth it. If we ever find ourselves in Ko Olina again, you can be sure we will be eating here again.
1st time dining here. Stayed at the tele for PMAH Memorial Day Weekend conference. Hotel was excellent and Mina's Fish House was equally amazing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance - Check[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service - Check Food - Check Drinks - Check Deserts - Check Well this restaurant checks all the boxes for me. We tried a variety on the menu: Smoked Marlin dipi w/chips Octopus Peppers Crusted Curry Ahi Night special - swordfish Cocktail drinks - served right. Not watered down and tasted excellent. I'd like to give a shoutout to Mary, our gracious server for the night. Excellent service. Actually beyond 5 stars. My wife read about the furikake Ice cream and wanted to order it but it was actually from another restaurant on the hotel. Nonetheless, Mary went out of way to serve it to us. It was very good BTW. To those who do not know furikake, just give this a try. You'll like it. We'll be back for the steak!!! Thank you for an excellent experience.
Celebrated 3 anniversaries at MFH (1 year, 4 years, and 40 years) and we enjoyed our experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Since we were staying in Ko'Olina, we walked over to MFH who accommodated us in our choice of table for our party of 6 ahead of time and had a gorgeous view of palm trees and ocean at sunset.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] While I would have chosen the Mina Fish House Experience (prix fixe $125), the experience requires full table participation. Instead, our party opted for à la carte ordering served family-style. Here's what we had: Ono amuse buche House Flatbread Broiled Spanish Octopus Ono Tataki - a favorite served with a vinaigrette truffle sauce Prime Beef Lettuce Cups Charred Broccolini Garlic Duck Fat Fries Kona Kanpachi (whole fish) char-grilled Ahi Katsu Curry NY Strip 14oz (for our non-fish eating friend) Potato and Leek Soup with poached lobster (for our non-fish eating friend) Although the food was A+, we took exception to the NY Strip because it was dry, gristly, and not cooked to order. However, when we brought it up to our server, she without question had it immediately removed and ordered another one. After trying the second one, the meat tasted like it should and the vegetables were even better than the first one. For drinks: Liquid Sunshine Mai Tai Piña Colada Pickleback Paradise - mocktail For the best deal, the Mai Tai is your best bet because it's larger than most drinks, has a good amount of alcohol, and tasty. Liquid Sunshine also had a good amount of alcohol. Our Pickleback Paradise drinker liked his drink so much he ordered two. Surprisingly, the Piña Colada wasn't up to par as it was grainy and not fully mixed. We should have returned it, but didn't. For dessert: Malasadas with ice cream Ube Cheesecake Additionally, each couple received a complimentary piece of chocolate cake to celebrate our anniversaries [[HIGHLIGHT]]During our meal, service was attentive and personable and the atmosphere was enhanced by the live music which made for a lovely celebratory dinner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]
[[HIGHLIGHT]]Beautiful restaurant and atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great service. Food was just ok for us, which, given the price, brought the experience down. My son loved the steak with foie gras, but we also had the duck fat fries, the steak and lobster, the octopus, the pork belly and the fried rice. Everything but the foie gras was good but not great and it was pretty expensive so the expectations were higher.
Great staff and service, [[HIGHLIGHT]]beautiful views[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and good food. Live music was a bonus. We enjoyed all of it the entire experience with the staff. Highly recommended.
It was our Christmas Dinner and I enjoy coming here . It was a fast paced night for them and it was busy. We arrived early just to make sure , they called us and then had a little faux pax and then we had to wait some more . Not an issue we ended up with a great table down by the water . Quiet and cozy . It was a little cold , but tis the season. We got the Christmas menu and that's where you pick one item from each area...with up charges for non menu items. It's all good with me , next time I'll go with the regular menu . The Christmas Menu was good , but a little different selections ... I'm happy , but want to explore a little more . The service was good , and the beautiful view... I'm happy- they validate parking complete use the valet.. otherwise it's hard to park if you drive... we usually stay at Disney or the Marriott... not this year though. All booked up in October lol. Will I go back ? Yes . And I will explore the island more ... it was missing something , I can't put my finger on it... I've been traveling a lot lately. Vegas , Bangkok , Saigon , Tokyo. And have had some amazing meals - with 5 star service ...so it's a great place - I'm happy here ... and will be back
We decided on dinner here on a whim-no reservations at prime dinner time. The bar however had seats available and we were fine sitting at the bar. Our barkeeper JT was out of this world! Busy, but incredibly attentive. I don't drink alcohol, but loved some of the vessels that cocktails come in, so he put my mocktail into the vessel I asked for. The bread and hummus was delicious, my husband had the blackened cod, and I had the ny strip. We also added garlic rice. Thanks to the chef for changing the Brussels sprouts to broccoli for me. The views were still amazing from the bar, and the open concept is truly Hawaiian. A lovely dinner with fantastic service.
Stellar experience! Service is amazing and the food is soooo good! We stared with great generous cocktails. The complimentary naan and hummus is so light. We started with the tuna tartare made table side in the classic beef tartare style with raw egg and toast. So fresh! We shared the lobster pot pie for the table. They only make a limited number per night but this is a Michael Mina speciality. A whole lobster with potatoes onions and carrots in a creamy sauce and topped with puff pastry. It is served table side and worth it! The tomato salad was amazing with the best dressing. The Mahi mahi prepared in the spicy light fried manner was so so good. The special shutome fish was prepared with a spiced phyllo crust on a bed of lobster mash potatoes. Think fish and hops elevated! It was amazing and such a huge portion.
We came here for a date night and were seriously blown away by the food and service. We went with the market fish experience, which includes several appetizers (marlin dip, octopus, tomato salad, shishito peppers), of which the stars were the shishito peppers and octopus (some of the best octopus we've had). For mains we had the snapper and the filet, both were cooked to perfection and seasoned well. Our server Megan was outstanding - she really deserves a promotion, Her service was so genuinely kind and thorough. She really elevated the experience for us. The ambience was calming and warm, and even though it was raining, we felt it was cozy and comfortable inside. Overall Mina's is a 10/10 - highly recommend!

Came here for a romantical dinner and Mina's didn't disappoint! We were seated at a lovely table with stellar views of the lagoon. We had a fantastic server - attentive without being overbearing. Courses were timed well and we never felt rushed. Each dish was distinctive and so balanced and delicious! We enjoyed our stay at the Four Seasons and Mina's delivered!
I've been eager to try Mina's Fish House for some time now--it's definitely on my must-visit list! We stopped by for dinner, and note that reservations are highly recommended. We were quickly seated and greeted by our friendly and helpful server. They gave excellent suggestions for dinner and drinks, and after much thought, we enjoyed: - Smoked marlin and Maui onion dip - Mina's lobster pot pie - Chili miso glazed black cod Every dish was utterly delicious! It's hard to pick a favorite since all of them were full of flavor. I'm a fan of Mina's and we will definitely be back soon to try more items from their menu.

Came here for a fancy anniversary dinner with all our kids. The service from start to finish was absolute 5 star. We got seating outdoors with a gorgeous view and watched the sunset as we dined. Our drinks were made well. All of our food was good and we enjoyed it, although nothing we ate was memorable. I understand that this is a highly rated restaurant at the four seasons but I did find that some of the menu items were priced pretty extreme and a lot of the food although very good did not meet the expectation that came with the tab. Overall we still had a great experience. Our waitress was so sweet, the setting was so gorgeous. Weather was beautiful as well. read more
My husband brought me here last night to celebrate our 13th wedding anniversary. When he made the reservation he asked for a table near the ocean and that's exactly what we got. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is beautiful and the service was stellar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Make sure that you make reservations as it was full house. People were standing around near the entrance waiting for tables. Michael Mina is famous for his Lobster Pot Pie. The last time I had it was at Stripsteak, one of his other restaurants. I knew I wanted to get it again, so I ordered the Lobster Pot Pie $128. My hubby ordered the Sesame Roasted Half Chicken $47 and Prime Beef Lettuce Cups $26. I tried their zero proof Parrot Punch (POG, coconut, fresh pineapple) $11. This drink was so good and it was served in a cute fish cup. They started us off with complimentary bread. It was naan bread with hummus. It was ok. The bread was cold and soft. The lettuce cups came out next. It was terrific. It had pieces of crispy rice to give it a crunch. The satay sauce just tied everything together. It wasn't spicy at all. The entrees came out after. My Lobster Pot Pie was assembled table side. I appreciated the presentation. The waiter was explaining the process to me. I liked when he said that they two onions were they eyes and the green beans were the antennas. This dish was fantastic, especially the truffle brandy cream sauce. My husband loved his sesame chicken. He gave me his wing portion and it was yummy. I loved the sweet glaze. Since, we were celebrating our anniversary, we got a complimentary dessert. It was a piece of their chocolate caramel crunch. It was like an elevated chocolate mousse cake, so good! Amazing dinner spot. Perfect views of the ocean. They have a kids menu that's pretty good (we had grilled fish, broccolini and pasta and ice cream/brownie). For the adults- we tried a few fish dishes, broccolini, spam fried rice, peppers, and salad. Everything was so delicious. read more

We had a memorable dinner at Mina's Fish House at the Four Seasons. The setting, service, and food were definitely impressive, and the overall experience felt special. That said, our total came to around $750 for four adults and two toddlers, including tip, and at that price point, we expected every dish to be a showstopper--which wasn't quite the case. WHAT WE ORDERED.... Lobster Pot Pie: Visually stunning when it first hits the table with a golden, puffy crust--but then it's quickly deconstructed, and from there it kind of loses the magic. It was good, but a bit of a letdown. The flavor didn't quite match the grand presentation. Whole Red Snapper - Ginger & Scallion Style: One of the standout dishes. The fish was buttery, tender, and impressively boneless, which made it easy to share. It came with a generous portion of sautéed green beans that were crisp, garlicky, and delicious. Spam Fried Rice: A comforting side dish that paired nicely with the fish. Not as mind-blowing as it was described, but still solid. Wild Mushrooms: Packed with flavor and one of our favorite sides... get this! Summer Heirloom Tomato Salad: Fresh and light--mostly arugula and whole tomatoes. Nice, but not particularly memorable. Smoked Marlin & Maui Onion Dip: Great flavor, creamy and smoky, but the house-made taro chips were way too thick. The fish dip was super good though and our toddlers loved it! Garlic & Duck Fat French Fries: Absolutely incredible. Fragrant, crispy, and addictive--the moment they hit the table, they stole the show. BEST FRIES EVER YOU NEED TO GET THIS! Mocktails - Parrot Punch & Sunset in Paradise: Both were delicious and came in fun, tropical glass. Desserts: Piña Colada Shave Ice: Super tasty and full of tropical flavor. Fun to eat and one of the most memorable parts of the meal. Ube Cheesecake: Light and airy--more like a Japanese-style cheesecake. Pretty good. Caramel Chocolate Crunch: Super rich, but super yummy--like a giant See's Candy bar. The problem with this dessert was that I couldn't eat more than one small bite because it was so rich. Pro Tip: Sit indoors if you're dining around sunset. The sun can be intense and directly in your eyes at the outdoor tables. There was live music that added to the upscale but relaxed atmosphere. The staff was warm and friendly, though our server Ryan seemed a bit stretched and didn't check in as often as I was hoping for. read more

So glad we were able to try this spot on our recent trip! I made a reservation about two weeks prior. This restaurant is located at the Four Seasons hotel, and you do need to valet your car. However, parking is validated through the restaurant which is nice! From walking in, we were greeted by the kind hostess, and then sat at our charming little table overlooking the ocean. They have their two-top tables set up a certain way so everyone dining has a nice view and that was a small detail that was greatly appreciated. We came around 6pm, so it was beautiful timing to watch the sun set and the ambience change into night mode as they started turning on all the outdoor lights and tiki torches. Such a wonderful ambience which elevated the dining experience. For our meal, we had wonderful service - from our server to the bussers and all the staff, everyone was so attentive and on top of everything. This place knows how to provide a wonderful service experience. Now for the food & drinks - we tried quite a few things on the menu! We started with cocktails, I can't remember the names of the drinks what we ordered. The first drink was a lime/cucumber/chilli drink and the second was a gin/lemon/lilikoi/lychee drink. Both were pretty good. For appetizers, we started with the hamachi (my favorite dish of the entire night), the octopus (another wonderful dish), and the market sashimi (very good). I'd easily recommend all of the appetizers we tried, but HIGHLY recommend the hamachi! For our meal, we shared the Ahi Katsu Curry - this was good, but just heavy after we had already eaten quite a bit! We got a side of their wild mushrooms as well, and if you're a mushroom lover, highly recommend trying these out! If you're looking for a nicer dining spot with great ambience, wonderful service and delicious food, this is your spot! We had such a wonderful time here and I'd definitely come again on our next trip! read more
We have dined at other Mina's restaurants and were excited to try the Fish House on this trip, so we made a reservation two weeks before leaving home. We had to wait 20 minutes after our reservation time. It would have been nice to have been offered a cocktail while we waited (in the bar), but we were told to "wait" with no time specified. We were seated on the main deck, not the lower one, which appears to have better ambience. We ordered three cocktails and a glass of wine, two apps, pork belly, and the Hamachi crudo, the Kampachi fish for two, and the ahi curry katsu, a side of lobster mashed potatoes, and one Malasada dessert for $425 for three of us, not including the tip. The food is good, we prepared and presented - a bit more casual than Ama Ama next door at the Aulani, so it is not a fair comparison. (Another reviewer compared the two) It is a different experience. Ama Ama is a more elevated experience. The impression from our server was that she was not that knowledgeable about food and wine, especially wine. What saved the evening was Jesse's live music. Great selection of songs, talented on the guitar, and had a good voice. I'm glad we tried the Fish House, but I'm not sure I'd return. It is overpriced for what you get, and the service was not amazing. Keep in mind, we are being very critical here. read more

Went to Mina's Fish House for happy hour . We didnt have reservation but they were able to sit us down in 5 mins. Recommend making a reservation though especially for large groups. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The sunset here is just so beautiful and relaxing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The servers are friendly and attentive. read more
Open air dining overlooking the lagoon... Seared big eye tuna and foie gras ...sounds interesting? I was intrigued by this unlikely pairing - but was totally thumbs up! Hawaiian salt on the foie gras, and placed on perfectly seared fatty tuna- yum!! I think the next time I eat here, I would definitely order it again! My wife ate the black cod - it was A-okay. Not the miso type sauce that we usually have at Japanese restaurants, but a solid "B" I thought. The duck oil fries were great! Located at a nice hotel, be prepared for the touristy gourmet price! Ambiance nice - overlooking lagoon 1 at Ko Olina. I requested to sit on the "lower deck" per recommendation from the hostess as we were celebrating a birthday. Service exceptional and price as expected from a Michael Mina restaurant at the Four Seasons. The table was comfortable with pillows for support behind my back. We ordered liquor, my bourbon smash was made well. The complimentary whatever it was was very good - lol I am so sorry I forgot what it was called. The caesar salad was split for us as we were sharing. It looked more like mini lettuce wraps with pieces of crab and capers. It was okay. The fries were just that - fries. The pork belly was cooked perfectly and whatever sauce was on it was divine. I'm not a huge pork belly fan but I do know that Michael Mina knows how to do this appetizer consistently. For entrees we both got the special which was a phyllo dough baked then panko breaded fish that was fried. It was okay. For sides we shared the spam fried rice - the rice was crispy which I personally enjoy and it had a lot of flavor. The crab mashed potatoes were good but a little too rich for me. The sauteed mushrooms were my favorite! ! For dessert my friend received a complimentary chocolate cake (it was okay) and we ordered the peanut butter crunch cake (it was okay.) I am such a dessert person and was kinda disappointed so I ended up ordering the malasadas last minute and they were SO GOOD! I am not even a malasada kinda gal lol but they were near perfect! The ice cream with caramel with it was perfection. At least the dessert was the saving grace for me. Definitely not cheap - see pic of receipt - and more of a one and done for me. If I could give this 10 stars I would. To me, contender for best restaurant on the island. The view and atmosphere are unmatched, warm, crisp decor and a perfect view. The staff could not be more amazing. Friendly, knowledgeable, caring and just amazing people. Let's talk about the food. We dined here a coupe nights ago and it was so good we cancelled another reservation we had just to come back. They are incredible with food allergies here. Very few modifications needed for some of the most common allergies and those modifications don't impact the enjoyment of the meal at all. The half chicken dish may be one of the best dishes we have ever eaten, all gluten and dairy free. Incredible. The miso black cod may be one of the best fish dishes I have ever had as well. The flavor combinations necessitate that you eat it together in a single bite, and you wont be mad about it. There is a slight spicy note on the back end. It's truly a joy to eat. The Marlin and Maui Onion dip is creamy and delicious, the flavors work perfectly together and nothing overpowers anything else. The Octopus if perfectly cooked and the tomato chutney pairs perfectly with it. The King Crab Caesar salad is a perfect starter and while an unusual presentation it just works. If you love food, have food allergies, or just want to be taken care of like you're a king or queen, Mina's is your spot. We will be back, multiple times in the future! read more

I had such a lovely experience at Mina's Fish House. The staff was so kind and attentive. They asked if we preferred bottled or house water and even checked for allergies without us needing to ask. When I asked what time they closed, the hostess was so sweet and made sure we didn't feel rushed at all. The sunset views and outdoor seating were beautiful. Such a calm and cozy vibe. We ordered drinks and appetizers and loved everything! The pita with hummus was warm and super comforting. The smoked marlin dip with taro chips had the perfect smoky flavor and crunch. The duck fat fries were crispy and rich. The beef lettuce wraps were so flavorful and fresh. Perfect place for good food, ocean views, and excellent service. This place really does leave a soft spot in your heart. read more

Fantastic service, delicious food, and beautiful sunset views. You can't go wrong with dining here and having a great experience! Our waitress, Katarina, was exceptional. They all work as one big team, so everyone that greeted us was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I am sensitive to certain oils and the manager came out to review items on the menu that may not be the best options. To me, that is going above and beyond! Hard to find that kind of customer service and care, so I really appreciated that. If I could rate this 10/10, I would! Can't wait to surprise my sister here for her 40th, because it was outstanding! read more
This was an amazing experience - from the time we arrived. My sister and her husband treated me to a lovely dinner at Mina's Fish House - the staff here really make you feel like a welcome guest and truly seem happy you are there. The restaurant is situated with a stunning view of the ocean and we arrived right at sunset - even more spectacular. The meal was absolutely amazing. They bring out a house made bread and hummus starter which is worthy of "scrapping the bowl" - and we also had a petite cold seafood tower to start - I would not normally have something like this myself - but it was delicious, shrimp, crab, oysters and a smoked Marlin and Maui Onion dip - amazing. There was a special that night - seasonal fish offering called Opakapaka - flaky and buttery- totally not fishy served with a Indian spiced chickpea dish - I shared that along with a delicious filet mignon and fingerling potatoes...oh and some garlic and duck fat French fries - OMG!! Then as if I could hold more a delicious dessert ...Brûléed UBE Cheesecake and even Warm Cinnamon sugar malasadas....I mean when in Hawaii. I can't say enough about this experience- it was pretty epic. Highly recommended if you're on the island. read more

Great place. We were staying at the four seasons for a stay cation and made reservations here through the concierge. Restaurant is super pretty with inside and outside seating located right by the beach! Their menu is quite large and was a bit overwhelming but our server helped us narrow down our selections to a few choices. The food was superb. Fresh fish, many different types of fish, seafood, and it was so good. They even have a fish sommelier!!! It was our first time but will definitely be back again and will bring our friends and family. read more
