What a delightful restaurant! My family enjoyed a traditional style loco moco, short rib loco moco, and a lobster eggs benedict. All 3 dishes were flavorful and beautifully plated. The dishes were priced fairly too. We ate in the outdoor patio and enjoyed a cool breeze and sunshine. The tables are narrow and seats are barstools. We didn't mind and were comfortable during our stay. We were served by 3 different staff members and each of them provided sincere hospitality- what a gem!! Great food, great service and really nice stop in Haleiwa for lunch or dinner! We had a birthday party of 7 and the food was excellent! Started off with pork belly fries, and the "no roll" Ahi poke rolls - so good! The braised beef over curry polenta was excellent! The remodeled restaurant was really nice and clean with great ambiance! Only issue is the bathrooms were "community" style of the entire building and was in real need of an upgrade! We ate a delicious breakfast here thanks to a local's recommendation. We split the braised beef moco. It was the perfect amount of food- satisfying but not stuffing. The flavors were so good on the beef and gravy, and the rice was perfectly cooked. We ate outside on the patio and enjoyed watching the birds in the park. I love this place! Its almost a weekend spot for breakfast. The vegan Loco moco is a hidden gem, Okinawan sweet potato with Japanese curry over rice (im addicted). The pancakes are fluffy and flavorful, avocado toast filled with flavor, and fruit bowl love the yogurt honey over fresh fruits. Haven't tried the dinner yet. This restaurant is located in the cutest town on the north shore of the island with lots of art galleries and shops nearby. Service was very friendly. You could sit either inside or outside, we chose inside which was cozy and had some nice natural light. I was intrigued by the bloody mary special cocktail on the menu but the waiter informed me it was on the saltier side so I got a regular bloody mary instead which was good. My partner got ramen which was huge. Literally filled to the brim and packed with toppings. We got lemongrass fried rice on the side which was packed with flavor and quite fragrant. I think the fried rice was my favorite item at lunch. I got one of their plates which basically came with a protein (garlic shrimp), white rice (which I didn't eat because we had the lemongrass rice), mac salad (which I think is a traditional Hawaiian side?), and a green salad. I opted for the tofu scamble, complete with avo toast, a fresh tossed salad, with bacon on the side for my big back. Wifey got the avo toast with an over easy egg, which she said was delicious. Please for the love of everything holy, try the LEMONGRASSSSSS FRIED RICE. Tons of flavor, fried wonderfully, not too oily. Amazing drink program here, complete with all sorts of libations, but if I had anything to complain about, it was the lack of local beers on tap. I easily found Singha- a known southeast Asian favotite, but maybe it would be nice for tourists to have a drink that was brewed or bottled on island, maybe I was too tired to look, if I overlooked this, my bad. Wife got the lilikoi mimosa and spoke highly of it. So glad this place is back in working order after the last one closed, we now have our spot back again to booze and kick back, after we hit the beaches. read more

Before walking into this restaurant, I was exhausted from the day and I'd just eaten from an açaí place down the road. But the vibe and decor in here was so good, the seats so cozy, that I had to try a plate. I had the steak and my partner had the kalbi and it was incredible. The best kalbi I've ever had - not too sweet, a good char, complex and delicious. They even seasoned the salad and their house dressing was amazing. A tale of two morning visits. Our first visit was a hands down 5 star experience. All three breakfasts were exceptional. I will say that both days our waiter forgot an ordered item but in both cases recovered quickly. We liked our first visit so much we decided to go back again. Different food altogether. Needed a breakfast spot to start our day in North Shore. This was the perfect find. We got to feast on island specialties, with great service, at a reasonable cost in a prime location. Let's keep this review simple. Me and my wife have not been to every restaurant on the island but I'd be surprised if this wasn't the best restaurant in the entire island chain. We got the kimchi fries as a starter and the quality of kimchi is superb. Just an amazing starter. Then we got the spicy Korean pork skillet and I'm not exaggerating when I say it's the best thing we've had at a restaurant since our last visit to a Michelin star rated restaurant in Sorrento a couple years ago. That gochujang deeply marinated pork shoulder lives in my head rent free and it seriously makes us want to go back to Oahu just to eat here. Great staff and vibe too.
