A great ramen spot located in the old Mililani Mauka Chinese Cruisine in the Gateway at Mililani Mauka. Parking can sometimes be an issue, with tight turns etc. But the restaurant itself is very clean and looks great. Though I have never eaten inside, I only did takeout, the service was great! My food came out pretty quick and was nice and hot. I got the Big Bowl Ramen, which was enough to feed me and my family. So it was worth the price, if you are ever in the area be sure to check them out! read more

Pricing is fair at this restaurant. We tried a couple of their combination meals as well as their side orders. Their combination meals is where it's at as far as best bang for your buck plus, it comes with gyoza! We ordered: Combination A meal w/fried rice - egg drop soup was more on the mild tasting side. More like a clean chicken broth with egg. Combination C with fried rice - fried rice was very delicious and flavorful Calamari - big rings cooked well but no tentacles. Food needs improvement but at least the service and speediness is there. I feel the flavor should be more Chinese if that makes sense. Add more spice since it's all very bland. Maybe they cater more to old people's taste? Not too sure. The clearing of dishes and checking up on you is not there, that could be improved for better tips. Just an fyi. The price points of the sets can't be beat and you do leave there full and content. I do like that there is all types of sauces on the table so you can enhance your own dishes. Great first time experience! They have a Gyoza Happy Hour from 3-5pm to add to the already great prices and very generous portions. I had gotten the Chicken Katsu Curry Ramen, Husband had the Oxtail Ramen, and we shared the side order Mochiko Chicken. I thought the Mochiko Chicken was cooked to perfection and wasn't overly sweet. The Katsu Curry hit the spot! I did remove it so it wouldn't become too soggy as I knew it would be too much to finish and wanted to take it home. Husband said the Oxtail itself was bland BUT they gave a lot so it wasn't a complaint but he would probably try something else the next time. Service was friendly and fast. We noticed a lot of take out orders but I feel like since we ordered a lot of deep-fried foods it would be better enjoyed there along with the various condiments they provide at the table. It's a great deal that also comes with gyoza. I don't recommend the oxtail soup as it's lacking some flavor and you could find better elsewhere. I like how thin they cut their brownish char siu and the shoyu egg cut in two was fine. If you like SALTY then you'll enjoy the seaweed. It tasted like it was heavily doused and massaged with salt. We came after a long day and were super hungry. Its your standard ramen/curry shop, with good prices for satisfying food. Service was good too, a bit hasty but polite. Our waitress accidentally thought my friend ordered gyoza but he wanted charsiu--they corrected it quickly and we got a free gyoza out of it, so no complaints there lol. My gf and I got combos with gyoza and ramen, hers with a mini katsu curry and mine with mini fried rice. Portions were good, I even had some leftover fried rice. Gyoza had thin skins and nice crispy bottoms. I also tried my friends black garlic tonkotsu ramen, which I think was the best dish on our table. The broth was much richer and tastier than the mini shoyu ramen I got. While everything was good, not much stood out to me. I was kinda disappointed all around. Outside of quick seating and ordering food took outrageously long for the crowd inside at the time we arrived. They also got our order wrong forgetting a drink and both our ramens were super light on noodles with broth being bland outside of shoyu. It's similar to Ramen ya but my daughter said this place tastes better. The service was really fast. We decided to order because we knew what we wanted. My daughter got the milk tea with boba. This location of Rakumen (there are several) has always taken care of me whether it's for my own dine in experience; ordering out for myself, small groups, or larger groups (order made at least an hour or two in advance for a group of around 30); or making custom orders with the ingredients they have available for friends with specific dietary restrictions. Every time I've dined at Rakumen Mililani, I've been able to order anything on their menu with a few modifications to meet what my preferences were at the time. One example is to order the Black Garlic Oil Tantan Ramen with extra char siu included in the order. Another example is ordering Black Garlic Oil Ramen with cabbage replacing noodles for people who are on keto diets or diabetic. Final example is ordering for a friend who is pescatarian and restricting their carbohydrate intake with doing their Spicy Seafood Ramen replacing noodles with cabbage (cooked with the soup so the cabbage softens like noodles) and with a little Black Garlic Oil added in for extra flavor. This location has done all the modifications I've asked for and also accommodated my larger orders for 20 people or a little more with very little notice (an hour) and I'd recommend dining in with them when you want ramen at a decent price or if you're placing a large order in advance for takeout in the Mililani area. read more

There is ample parking and they're open daily from 10:45am - 8:45pm. We tried a bunch of different menu items and they were all delicious! The ramen noodles tasted fresh and all the broths were rich in flavor and steaming hot. All the food came out in record time after ordering. The staff came by to check on us throughout our meal to ensure our drinks were kept full and were always friendly and helpful. My husband was jonesing for ramen and gyoza after receiving advertisement via mail for 15% discount. I was skeptical since Mililani is not really known for their local eateries. We agreed to give this place a try. Side Order Kim Chee: Only took two bites. Tasty and fresh. Kim chee has been fermented for a long time which tasted soft. Black Garlic Oil Tan Tan Ramen: Few bites of ramen with seaweed tasted fine. Observed there were only three thin slices of pork in entire bowl. Pork tasted very tender and easy to pull apart with chopsticks/hashi. Please don't skimp on the pork. Wish there were a few more thicker slices. Slurped some broth and realized there's too much salt which overpowered the garlic. At first I thought it was kim chee taste that lingered on my tongue. I told my husband, "Please taste the broth. Tell me how does it taste?" He responded, "Salty." I finished ramen and seaweed, then left the remaining broth in bowl. Black Garlic Oil Tan Tan Ramen earned the nickname Salty Broth. Mini Ramen Combo Set A Mini Ramen: My son said he enjoyed his ramen and broth was not salty. My husband noticed and commented that mini ramen only had three thin slices of pork. Mochiko Chicken, Rice & Mac Salad: Decent portion size; however, one side of mochiko chicken tasted crispy while other side tasted soft. 4 pcs Gyoza: Disappointed to have more cabbage to ground pork ratio in filling. After taking a first bite from gyoza, top portion of wrapper opens and diced cabbage falls out. Server spoke too quickly before, during and after dining even though we're able to understand conveyed messages. Continuous water refills doesn't resolve salt overkill on my tongue.
