First time here. It's in the old Kuru-Kuru Sushi location in Pearl Kai Shopping Center. Looks like minimal changes were done to the restaurant except to take out the revolving sushi bar and replacing it with tables. I came for lunch and ordered one of their combination meals. Very good taste, presentation, and service. Prices are what you expect for sushi/poke. The only downside to my meal was that I chose the same flavor for my sushi and poke. That was entirely my fault. Next time, and there will be a next time, I know better.

Recently had lunch at Domo Cafe in Pearl Kai. This spot stands out for its fresh sashimi. The quality is consistently excellent, and you can really taste the difference in the cut and freshness of the fish. You can tell the owner takes real pride in what's being served, offering only on the best selections. No stringy cuts. A solid go-to in Pearl Kai when you want something fresh and well prepared.

Sashimi bowl, karaoke chicken, shoyu ramen no green onions

Karaage chicken came out first, great way to start our first ever meal here. It had like a yuzu flavored mayonnaise to dip it in, gave it a nice subtle accent of flavor. Definitely getting this again. I had the sashimi bowl, nice big cuts of fish. Maguro, salmon and hamachi were really good! Ikura was a bit fishy, but then again all the ikura in Hawaii is like that unless you spend a fortune on it. I would have preferred the sushi rice with a stronger vinegar flavor, but that is just my personal preference. The shoyu ramen bowl was the least favorite as the noodles were soggy, menma was a bit too crunchy and broth was just me. The ajitama egg was super though, nicely seasoned with a thick yet stll runny yolk. Service was quite quick even though every table in the restaurant was filled.

Fast, fresh, and delicious! We're new to the area and we were extremely impressed by this place. There are tons of options but we both chose poke options and loved the soft fresh fish. The team here is very friendly and went above and beyond by recommending other great restaurants in the area. Thanks Joshua, we can't wait to come back!

Their California was probably the best sushi in this bento.

Probably 3.75 rounded up to 4. A step up on Genki but not as good as the neighboring Tadashi. We had an open night on the family cook squad so the "boys" decided to do pickup from Domo Cafe. Ordering was easy and we all got something different. The guys picked it up it was ready when they said it would be. I'd hit this place up again as it was okay value and you got exactly what you ordered. Parking is either fronting the business in Pearl Kai or around the lot. It's easy access.

We ordered a takeout sushi platter from Domo Cafe and placed the order two days in advance. Everything was ready on time, beautifully put together, and soooo good! We've been here multiple times and the fish is always so fresh, which is why we keep coming back. This place never disappoints!

We just had a wonderful lunch experience here at Domo Cafe. The menu selection is on spot! Sushi, Poke Bento plates, poke salad, udon, chicken teriyaki, shrimp tempura, etc. The food was excellent. They even had a ahi out on the counter that was getting sliced up. The staff was great and attentive. We really enjoyed our lunch here and are looking forward to coming back in near future. I highly recommend this place!!

Just needed a place to eat. Busy day and already 2pm and nothing but coffee for the day. Domo Cafe will take care of you! Quickly seated, got my drink fast. Decided on the yuzu poke and it was out in a jiffy. Probably the freshest tasting poke Ive ever had at a restaurant. I felt so calm, content and cared for. Thanks Donmo Cafe!!!

    Aburi Sushi Platter

Ordered dinner from Domo Café and went with the #9 Aburi Sushi Platter, which comes with 32 pieces of nigiri: seared ahi with mayo, seared salmon with mayo, and spicy tuna gunkan. At $65, this felt like a great value for the quantity and quality you're getting. Flavor-wise, the platter leans slightly on the sweeter side, likely from the drizzle of unagi sauce, but the fish quality was excellent -- fresh, well-prepared, and satisfying overall. We phone-ordered in advance and pickup was seamless. The staff continues to be kind, helpful, and efficient, which always makes the experience better. After Domo Café replaced my longtime go-to sushi spot, KuruKuru, I was a little skeptical, but this definitely delivered. I'll absolutely be back to try more items on the menu.

Domo was really good. Everything was fresh. Nothing crazy priced. They could have more servers. They only had one server for a Friday evening and the place was packed. So he was running rampant. So the service was slow. There were a couple of runners. But the server was doing everything and doing drinks. So hopefully it was fluke. The bentos had great portions and variety. The poke bowl was good and their rolls were good too! 4 bentos and a poke bowl . $104 with tip! I know there are only 3 bentos pictured. One bento was ordered twice. Thankfully we live close and will be back.

Hong Kong Style Iced Tea & Tempura bowl with Yuzu Shoyu Ahi.

Located inside the Pearl Kai Center, former Kuru Kuru Location next to Coco Curry is Domo Cafe. I was craving for some sushi, but instead was captured by their Poke bowl menu. Ordered the Spicy Tempura Bowl, but instead of spicy tuna I replaced it with the Yuzu Shoyu Ahi. Let me tell you the presentation and the quality of the ingredients used surprised me. They use sashimi grade fish which is top tier and if you're not into raw fish they do serve hot dishes such as tempura and ramen. There are also lunch sets and sushi bentos as well. I also ordered a Hong Kong Style Iced tea and it was delicious. I may need to come back and try their desserts too.

Sorry, still trying to catch up on all my reviews. But I'm so so glad we finally have a Domo Cafe on my side of the island! Their second location is in the Pearl Kai Shopping Center in the old Kuru Kuru. You really can't go wrong with the prices and how fresh the fish is. It's really close to my boyfriend's house so we've been here a few times already. And we just got a gift card for here so my mouth is already drooling to go back. There's usually always tables available when we go which is nice that we don't usually have to wait. We both got don's and it comes with miso soup. My boyfriend added uni to his with a side of shrimp tempura (his two favs!). I love that you can taste how fresh the fish is and everything is flavorful but not overpowering. The yuzu flavor is always my favorite to get with my poke. And I like that it's on sushi rice which makes it that much better. The staff is usually always very friendly and attentive. And our orders usually comes out fairly quickly. I definitely recommend you checking them out if you haven't already done so!

We are from out of state and staying at Aulani and was recommended for their poke. The staff was friendly and helpful. I had the California poke and hubby had the chicken teriyaki bowl. He said it was very good. My bowl was delicious and fresh. We did take out and it was so good. I highly recommend here.

Really good fish…read more I've been here a couple of times and have always enjoyed what I ordered. I have no complaints about the chicken katsu, the beef stew, or the Kalbi plate. Well the Kalbi, could use a little more color and charing but the flavor is mostly there. The real winning dish is the miso butterfish. That thing melts in your mouth each time I order it. I mean come on it's called butterfish for a reason. Overall four stars. The food is tasty and fair for the price. I just don't like having to pay extra for utensils or sauces. Plenty of seating inside the food court. M

This place also has a huge menu so there's something for everyone! They have a variety of curry plates, bentos, poke, and even noodle dishes. Our go to is definitely the chicken karaage curry plate! The chicken is always crispy, a bit sweet, and super juicy! It balances out the slightly spicy and salty curry. We also love that there's vegetables in the curry (carrots & potatoes). We love that the curry comes in a separate container so no soggy chicken! We've also tried their gyoza which is always crispy and has a lot of filling inside. Most recently, I tried their miso salmon bento and that was so flavorful! It came with toss salad, edamame, and miso soup! At around $14 per plate, I think that's a pretty good deal for the amount of food you get!

They were very attentive and friendly even while the restaurant was busy. Staff made great recommendations and the food came out in a timely manner. The ambiance of the restaurant itself is so relaxing. We went before sunset and got to see the view during the day of the golf course and got to experience the night vibes as well. The menu has a lot to offer. Lots of categories with a variety of choices to cater to everyone's taste buds. Luckily went with a group of 5 so we got to try a bunch of different dishes. For appetizers- the tuna toast is a must! It's a perfect bite of poke with a nice crunch from the toast! I could eat 10 of these! The Brussel sprouts was also a favorite appetizer with its maple soy glaze and parm! If you don't like brussel sprouts- you might actually like this! lol The flavoring on the corn was great, but I wished it wasn't on the cob because it's messy to eat. The shrimp in the ebi katsu were huge, crunchy and not oily! The batter was a little thick but was proportionate to the shrimp size. The pork katsu was sooo delicious and tender. One of my favorite of the night. The wafu steak was also good - a little bit well done but the flavors were there. The miso black cod was also my favorite - soft and buttery with great flavor. The carrot puree under the cod was also surprisingly delicious and light. For dessert- the sweet potato crème brûlée is the popular dessert and it was pretty good. Not my favorite but good to try. I wonder if Okinawan sweet potato would be a better dessert the shave ice was a huge portion and the 5 of us almost didn't finish it ! The staff did give my parents a special treat for the celebration- it was like a yuzu custard with a crumble on top. THAT WAS BOMB, easily everyone's favorite dessert of the night! We inquired if that was going to be on the menu once day. And maybe it might Overall, a great restaurant with many delicious and flavor options! Great views and amazing staff. Would come again! Wish they had a location in town!

I had the tonkatsu curry, and as a big curry fan, it's good. Tonkatsu wasn't too oily, meat was juicy, and the curry taste was taste-in. I've also had the poke nachos, shrimp/vegetable tempura, and various bento dishes--always at least solid. Finally, appreciate the servers. Depending on when you go, it can get busy, but we've never had to wait too long for food and waters get refiled/plates get cleared. The underneath parking can get tight as well. Will definitely be back because all other dishes we had were great and service was attentive and efficient! Original review: Service and staff were stellar. But the chicken katsu was one of the worst I've ever had on O'ahu. The chicken katsu was greasy and soaked in old oil that tasted rancid and oxidized, which made the panko a disappointingly saturated mess. The panko was way too browned, and neither flaky or freshly crunchy like katsu should truly be, and was a far cry from the photo in the menu. The poor, fatty chicken quality and the rubbery skin left on the chicken pieces just added to the gristly and chewy nature of the katsu. Charging customers these prices for this kind of subpar quality chicken is absolutely insulting, and we couldn't even finish the dish. It's such a disappointment to write this kind of review, but others need to know what they're getting when they order katsu at Gyotaku.

We waited over 10 minutes to get cups of water and to put in our order. I totally get that they were short handed which also explains why it took almost 40 minutes for us to be served. Ordered the Negi-Hamachi to try something different. Hamachi is my favorite fish served sashimi style so I decided to switch it up and order the Negi-Hamachi which is finely chopped, yellow-tail with green onion and wasabi over sushi rice served with tsukemono and miso soup. I was super happy with this because the Hamachi was delicious and surprisingly, I did not feel bloated or too full afterwards.
