A must get when we're craving curry! This might sound crazy but this is our go to spot after our Sam's Club run. The portions are huge and prices are reasonable! This place also has a huge menu so there's something for everyone! They have a variety of curry plates, bentos, poke, and even noodle dishes. Our go to is definitely the chicken karaage curry plate! The chicken is always crispy, a bit sweet, and super juicy! It balances out the slightly spicy and salty curry. We also love that there's vegetables in the curry (carrots & potatoes). We love that the curry comes in a separate container so no soggy chicken! We've also tried their gyoza which is always crispy and has a lot of filling inside. Most recently, I tried their miso salmon bento and that was so flavorful! It came with toss salad, edamame, and miso soup! Located in the Pearl highlands food court. Bento and curry is a spot I actually like but not for what they are named for. I personally was not a fan of their curry but their poke bowls is bomb. Their fish seems fresh and it taste great. The rice... I know it's just rice but compared to other spots, their rice was awesome. They give you a choice between sushi rice, white rice and brown rice. Awesome poke, awesome rice. Overall I can't give 5 stars because as stated, I am not a fan of their curry but I still would give 4 stars. I'll give their curry a try again... maybe curry just doesn't go with loco moco for me. Their service is typical... it's a food court so can't really expect a lot. Food court of course will be full with customers during certain times and other times it'll be empty. They get the food out as fast as possible but again, can't expect a lot. I appreciate the variety of local style food. You can get everything from poke bowls to curry meat and rice dishes here along with a small miso soup appetizer. Consistently good food and fair prices. My biggest ask is that there's a little more curry served with the bowls. A minor pet peeve is when there's mouthfuls of rice without any curry toward the end of a meal. Tried it for the first time and was sadly disappointed. Not the worst I've had. That honor goes to Hoya Grill & Ramen. Sorry Chinese should stuck to Chinese food. Only bright dot was the Miso soup. I visited at noon on a Saturday so as expected, the food court was bustling with people trying to grab a quick lunch. There were a few people in front of me so there was a little bit of a wait to receive my order. The bummer of the whole ordeal was that I received the wrong order, instead of butterfish & teri chicken, I received teri chicken and beef. I didn't realize I had the wrong order until arrived home. It was partially my fault for not questioning it since the number called out was correct. What can you do? On the bright side, the teri beef and chicken were pretty good. I was relieved that their brown rice was cooked properly since a lot of places don't put enough water or it sits in the rice cooker and gets super crunchy and hard. I think that the portion was pretty generous for two entrees with miso soup so the price was worth the $20 regardless. I wasn't too sure what it was but it was delicious! Everything had great flavor and I like the combination. Came with a salad, miso and rice. I should've ordered this combo rather than the udon. Why is it that my husband always orders something better than me? Luckily, he doesn't ever mind switching or sharing with me. I think you get a good portion for what you pay for and I just enjoy eating freshly made/fast teishoku! Very good Miso Butterfish Bento! This one choice bento was served with rice, tossed salad, edamame and takuwan, with a bowl of miso soup on the side. I thought it was a perfectly balanced meal at great value, especially considering it's butterfish. Aside from the bento, my son and I shared a side of Takoyaki. We had a craving for that for some time now, and although I'm sure the takoyaki wasn't made from scratch here, it was pretty decent and hit the spot. Sorry, didn't get a pic of that! There's many other items to try and I'm sure we'll be back. By the way, the workers were nice and tried to be as helpful as they could, but on the day we visited, the 2 people working had an apparent language barrier. First time trying Bento Curry food. No spinach curry so I selected beef curry. It came in two containers: one had rice and Mac salad, the other one had the curry. One piece of potato, a couple carrots and a few cubes of beef. It tasted like the blocks of curry in a box from the market. My taste buds might be off but it tasted a little salty to me. Wow! they were perfectly cooked, juicy with a slight crust. Not dry and not overcooked. So flavorful. Watch out Liliha's butterfish....this place is bringing the heat! Until now Liliha Bakery has always won my heart with their butterfish, but now it's going to be hard for me to decide where I get my butterfish! Service was super quick and the worker was really nice. Love that there is lots of seating in the food court as well as a couple tables and chairs outside. It wasn't super busy and food took maybe 10 minutes. I went with the Chicken Karaage Teishoku with Sushi Rice and a side order of Sashimi. Again, really surprised with the quality of the sashimi. My karaage was also soft and I loved the dressing on the green salad. I'm all about options and having a variety to eat so the Teishoku was a great choice. The vegetable tempura though was a complete miss, my mom hasn't been eating much so I've been taking her around to find something for her she enjoys and this was disgusting. The top was undercooked and the bottom was burnt. Idk how that is possible when it's usually deep fried?? Overall the place was a disappointment and puzzling considering how the tempura was cooked and a waste of money since the tempura was barely edible and should not have been put on the plate.
