We still love Aji Ramen!! Best customer service time after time. Consistently good flavors, no matter what you choose. Upgrades available with small fee, but I'm so thankful for their flexibility! We love them so much.. Hope you love them too! :)

The service was wonderful. The two ladies who helped us were so kind and sweet. We brought the kiddos and they were so attentive and accommodating to them. The food was not bad, but not anything crazy special. I would say it was a pretty typical ramen place. The ambiance is nice and simple. They used the same layout from the previous ramen place. 3 stars for the mediocre food but 5 stars for the very awesome service.

My wife and I were craving some ramen and my wife had heard about Aji Ramen. If I am correct, it recently replaced another ramen shop that was here previously or maybe it was a simple re-branding. Nonetheless, Waipahu Shopping Center is as "local" as it gets. We stopped by here during the middle of the week. There was only other couple eating dinner while we were there. The interior is a friendly, simple interior. The staff was extremely friendly and kind. For food, I opted for the Black Garlic Tonkotsu which was very delicious. It came all the toppings and more. I also really appreciated, not one, but two ajitama eggs We ordered two ramens and it was sufficient enough for us and to share with two children.

Great place! We came here for a meal with the family, and the atmosphere was welcoming and perfect for a group. The highlight of the night was definitely the Tan Tan Ramen. The broth was rich and had just the right amount of spice to give it a kick without being overwhelming. To top off an already great experience, they surprised us with free dessert at the end of our meal! It's rare to find a spot that combines such flavorful food with that kind of thoughtful hospitality. We will definitely be back!

Service was amazing, got seated right away, everything didn't take that long, they refilled our waters often, checked if we needed anything, had an overall positive experience! Food was good, especially the salted egg chicken wings! The fried shrimp roll was alright, wasn't a fan of the sauce tho. I would definitely come back!

We found this spot while in the area and on the hunt for a good lunch spot. The servers were so kind and sweet, and the food was 10/10. So good, that we stayed around the area to come back for dinner this would become a regular spot of ours if only we lived in Hawaii!

Important note to start this review. As there is no bathroom. It's inside the store next door, unfortunately making this hard for a single parent. Or someone coming with children. Be mindful when picking this location an use the facility next door before getting a table. The menu has something for everyone. The small ramen is not really that small though. We still had so much food. For $40 we had more than enough for myself and my 10 year old son. Service was wonderful and the space is quaint and relaxing. The egg drop soup was so yummy. My son enjoyed his ramen and he chose not to have the pork, he asked for it plan. We asked for fried rice with no veggies but it came with bean sprouts and cabbage. He was not impressed and we brought it home for the less picky brothers he has. He didn't have any room left to eat more anyways. The show stopper for me was the side of chicken katsu curry. It was delicious. The chicken was perfectly coated and fried and the curry sauce was really good. The gyoza was lightly fried. The inside pork mix was okay. A bit crunchier insides than I prefer with extra ginger and cabbage and green onions? I'm not sure. My son thought they were okay too. The ponzu sauce was not a favorite. I preferred just soy sauce. I also used the chili oil that was at the table for extra flavor.

You receive a most sincere greeting when you enter and a big friendly smiles while we were leaving as I said, "We'll be back." They have many choices on their menu. Hubs said his won tun ramen was okay. We signed up for their 15% off to return. My Combo A was go generous I had to take the 4 piece gyoza and mochiko chicken, rice & Mac salad home. As soon as I tasted the noodles, cooked to perfection, it reminded me of something from my childhood - delicious and comforting. My Thai Ice Tea was excellent too. I hope more people frequent Ají Ramen. They took over Umi Ramen.

This place is amazing. Staff are very friendly and treat their customers like family, which is great. Highly recommended this place. This spicy seafood ramen with fried calamari and Thai tea bova is an amazing combination especially when you're very hungry. Restuarant is small but great place for family to eat with children. Food is remarkably delicious.

Lunch in Waipahu, Oahu, Hawaii... I saw a review by my friend, Deborah, of this Hot New Business called Aji Ramen and I had to visit... Located at Waipahu Town Center, Aji Ramen took the place of Umi Ramen. It's right next to Potato Corner, which is between Seafood City and Goodwill. There's lots of free, shared parking... even though Starbucks is in one corner of the property, and Longs is at the other end. When I stepped inside, the air-conditioning was very much appreciated. I truly enjoyed the iced water - it had fresh lemon flavor in it! I also noticed the cute decor... the banner across the wall was kawaii! The peppy music included familiar songs from BTS! I ordered the Combo A set. It had Ramen, gyoza, and a side. I chose Chicken Katsu Curry for my side. It was too much food because they gave me 4 extra delicious gyoza for Happy Hour (2pm to 5pm). The nice manager brought me takeout containers and a package, and helped me pack my food! The server was also very cheerful and greeted me right away! I wish this new business much success! They're really efficient and generous!

My son and I were looking for somewhere nearby to grab an early dinner, and since this was already our third visit here, I had a good feeling we wouldn't be disappointed. Luckily for us, we arrived early and were seated right away. Always a win when you're hungry and don't have to wait! For my meal, I ordered the Curry Teishoku, which came with curry, gyoza, and miso soup. The curry was hearty and comforting. Exactly the kind of dish that hits the spot when you're craving something warm and filling. The gyoza was nice and tasty with a good bite to them, and the miso soup was classic and simple. Just the way miso soup should be. My son, being the Spam lover that he is, went straight for the Spam Katsu plate, which also came with a small salad and miso soup. He definitely had no complaints about his meal. Crispy Spam? Hard to go wrong there. What actually surprised me the most was the salad that came with his plate. I had to try a bite and wow. The star of that little side dish was definitely the mango salad dressing. I'm not sure if it's made in-house or store-bought, but either way it was seriously delicious. Sweet and super refreshing. All in all, this spot once again satisfied our appetite. It's casual, comforting, and consistent. Exactly the three things that keep us coming back. Safe to say we'll continue supporting this local spot whenever we're in the area and craving some good grindz.

When I got there I remembered I got papaya salad from this place years ago but it sucked and that's why I never went back. Anyways, I walk in and don't get a greeting from anyone. Whatever. I pay for my order and then that's it. No "Thank you", "Have a nice day!" Just silence. So already the customer service is pretty shitty. I get home and open up my container and then I'm like wtf, the shrimp were all cut in half. Why would they even do that. That shit is so weird. You basically put like 4 shrimp in my plate and cut it in half. The salad came with 2 sauces, a sweet chili and a watery one I thought was fish sauce. I put the watery one on and it was so sweet. I was like wtf is this!? Plus the papaya was so tough. That salad was so junk so now they are 2 for 2 for bad papaya salad. I'll remind myself to NEVER go there again. I would give them one star but my son said their pho was alright so they get two. However if you're looking for good papaya salad and good customer service, this place ain't it.
