$10 Salt & Pepper Pork Ribs plate lunch special. Expected this to be better after all the reviews. Was alright.

First time here to try out their popular $10 plate lunch specials. This is not your typical fast food plate lunch spot... waited 30min for our take-out. Unfortunately, rice was undercooked in 3 of our plate lunches today. So disappointing because the main items were decent... but rice makes the plate. Plate also came with noodles mac salad (good) and thin noodles (not sure what this was). This place was busy so I hope your rice issue gets resolved.

Came here before and really enjoyed the seafood, so had to come back! Honestly, this spot is way better than places in town when it comes to portion size and price -- definitely more bang for your buck. Only downside? The service. It's a bit lacking, but I get it -- they're always packed and probably know the crowd will keep coming regardless. Still, for the food alone, I'd absolutely return... maybe do takeout next time to skip the wait. Pupu lobster and poke bowl are my go-to appetizers -- can't skip those. Tried the wings this time too -- not bad! Pretty sure we ordered Combo #3. Our total came out to around $150 plus tip, which isn't bad at all for two people considering how much food we got. Good grinds overall. Worth it.

It was busy and I guess it was worth the wait especially for these lunch specials!!!!

We had never tried this place before but wanted to try the $10 lunch specials after seeing them online. We tried calling in the order but consistently got the busy signal for 20 mins, but it was christmas eve so they might have just been busy. After a while we got ahold of them and placed our order on the phone. When we got there to pick it up, it was kind of confusing where to go. There's no one at the front to greet you so we just wandered around and eventually realized you have to go to the bar to ask for your food. We got the smoked chicken and the salt and pepper pork ribs. The smoked chicken was good and had a slight smoky flavor, but was pretty much a standard bbq chicken. The salt and pepper pork ribs were really good and were super flavorful and crispy with a good amount of meat on the bones. The plates come with rice, mac salad (with spaghetti noodles), and some plain spaghetti noodles that were maybe just tossed in olive oil? We thought that was kind of strange, I think a fried noodle would have been better. The mac salad was pretty good though, it was fun and different with spaghetti noodles rather than macaroni. Overall I think it was a great value for $10 but I don't think we'd come back. Glad we got to try it though!

Da Crawfish is not your seafood in the bag restaurant. The food is served nicely plated. Except if you order a combo, then it comes in a bucket. We shared the shrimp platter. 20 shrimp in garlic butter sauce (market price). Displayed nicely on a platter, the butter garlic was nothing special. Also shared the sweet potato fries. It had a light crisp on the outside, and tender inside . Good taste. Two thumbs up. Our server was apologetic for the restaurant opening late. Posted time is 11 am. We got there at 11:30, they opened at a quarter to twelve. The had a staff meeting. Ambiance was open with painted murals throughout. They had a number of TV screens set to different channels. Also, had loud background music from the bar area. Lots of echo due to concrete walls and ceiling. Sweet and smiling server did a excellent job. Enjoy

First time here. Service was good and the combo#2 lobster garlic butter was the bomb to me. The flavor was there. The best part to me was the bowl it came in. Not a bag or on the table. So I never get messy just eat right over the bowl. I'll be coming back.

Friendly staff. Good food. Reasonable prices. Need to return to try the rest of the specials. There was a long wait for our order I guess it's because the smoked chicken.

The food is good. Service by Lauren was phenomenal and knew 5 minutes into ordering she was worth 20% of whatever the bill would be! She was fast, polite, kind and professional. It was a Thursday evening so we had a choice of seats but a half hour later it was quite busy. They have plenty of TVs for sports playing on mute simultaneously with music playing. Tabled are plastic with metal chairs and rolled paper to easily clean up after each meal. Your crab shells and waste is easily tossed in the metal bucket. The sauce was too spicy for my wife and her friend that covered the crab so they asked if they could add more to minimize the spice which they fulfilled however it cost me an additional $4.50 for each sauce but the food was so good I tipped on the $9 we thought was for free. Next time we will ask ahead of time the cost for any changes or up-charges before we agree to anything. I love the raw onion with the marinaded steak and poi! It's delicious. The serving size was larger than last week. The bill for the 4 of us with tip was $183 to include 2 whiskeys.

Combo #2 with just crab and shrimp!

Ask the Community - Da Crawfish and Crabshack

Do they have gluten free options?

    Yes I believe so.

    Is #1still $29.99?

Not anymore, combo 1 is now at $39 + tax.

Do they have private rooms for small events?

    Not at Kapolei restaurant

Do they allow substitutions for their combos? I just wouldn't want to waste the crawfish.

They do for a small fee.

Is this an all you can eat crab place?

No it is not all you can eat, hope this helped

Hi- do you allow guests with service dogs?

Do they take reservations? If so, how many days in advance can I make one?

You can make it on the day of thank you

I know it usually depends on a persons appetite but how much people does the king crab combo feed? Is everything 1/2 pound? The #5 looks really good but looks like you can feed at least 4🧐 thanks for the help I'll definitely be stopping by this…

The #5 combo feeds about 6-10 ppl it’s 1 pound of snow crab 1 pound of king crab 1 pound of lobster a whole Dungeness crab 2 pounds of shrimp 2 pounds of clams 2 pounds of crawfish potatoes sausage and corn

Are the combos meant for one person? I assume the combo #5 is for several.

The combos are for one person. However, there is enough seafood for two people.

I know what market price means. How to know how much before I get there?

The best way is probably to call ahead as market price changes frequently.

My girlfriend and I are planning to go on a trip and go to Kapolei. Is this place near adventure tour spots? Can we easily find it from Coral crater adventure Park? Also which dishes do you recommend? Thanks

Yes, absolutely! It's pretty much in between Wet n Wild water park and Coral Creek, both of which are easy to navigate to. There is also K1 Speedway (indoor go karts), Paintball Hawaii, and iTrampoline not too far away. Hope that helps!

The restaurant is beautiful and the service was stellar. Make sure that you make reservations as it was full house. People were standing around near the entrance waiting for tables. Michael Mina is famous for his Lobster Pot Pie. The last time I had it was at Stripsteak, one of his other restaurants. I knew I wanted to get it again, so I ordered the Lobster Pot Pie $128. My hubby ordered the Sesame Roasted Half Chicken $47 and Prime Beef Lettuce Cups $26. I tried their zero proof Parrot Punch (POG, coconut, fresh pineapple) $11. This drink was so good and it was served in a cute fish cup. They started us off with complimentary bread. It was naan bread with hummus. It was ok. The bread was cold and soft. The lettuce cups came out next. It was terrific. It had pieces of crispy rice to give it a crunch. The satay sauce just tied everything together. It wasn't spicy at all. The entrees came out after. My Lobster Pot Pie was assembled table side. I appreciated the presentation. The waiter was explaining the process to me. I liked when he said that they two onions were they eyes and the green beans were the antennas. This dish was fantastic, especially the truffle brandy cream sauce. My husband loved his sesame chicken. He gave me his wing portion and it was yummy. I loved the sweet glaze. Since, we were celebrating our anniversary, we got a complimentary dessert. It was a piece of their chocolate caramel crunch. It was like an elevated chocolate mousse cake, so good! I had a wonderful time. They validate for valet service.

Majority of the appetizers we got were good. - truffle fries..well...their truffle fries and cant really go wrong - taro dumplings (i forgot if thats what we got but they were good but not blown away either) - corn chowder was good - brisket pesto pizza? (Im overdue with the review so forgot what pizza it exactly was) but i remember this was good. It was in the happy hour menu is all i can remember. - wings but unsure about the goat cheese dip. I prefer plain ranch - the kids pasta was good. Well, one kiddo loved it while the other didn't. So it depends on preferences on this one. I will say i did taste it and it was meh... - another kiddo got the shoyu noodles and its plain. So if you got a simple palate plain jane child, they will like this one. For drinks, it depends on taste and preferences. I was bummed on this one. Mainly looking fwd to the drinks and it didn't satisfy my tastebuds. It was too twisted, fusion, modified etc. i prefer a mai tai a plain old fashioned mai tai without the fixings. The orange foam was too strong it overwhelmed the dark rum im used to and prefer. So i decided to try the ube rey instead which was much better but still not as much to my liking/preferences. Went back to Aulani a but bummed and decided to get another at Aulani the next day instead and I will say, i liked it better as it followed the more traditional way of making it. So if you prefer traditional ways, this may not be for you and if planning to drink, simply keep with the simplier generic drinks, wine or beer. If you prefer to try different ways and flavors, then you will love this. Service was great and our server was attentive at all times. Thank you. Ambiance was good but outdoor seating may be a bit of a nuance due to flies swarming around you often. The swinging table fan helps but are still annoying plus the tropical heat also didn't help.

We ordered the fixed menu for 5-6 people, and let's just say... they weren't kidding. We ate until we couldn't anymore and still left with enough leftovers for another meal. Everything came out hot and one dish after another, so there was never a dull moment. Now for the food... the edamame was a little too shy on seasoning. One of us packed it up for tomorrow's work lunch to give it a second chance. The fried noodles? I'd probably skip those next time. They just didn't stand out compared to everything else on the table. A couple of things to know before you go: there's no A/C, so it can get a little toasty. Our biggest battle of the night wasn't deciding what to eat--it was defending our food from the flies. They do have battery-operated fly fans for the tables, but they were all being used, and we were told a few weren't working. It would be great if they had more available since they definitely help keep the flies away. Overall, great company, good food, excellent service, and free parking? No complaints there! We'd definitely come back with the fly fans of course for back up.
