My family loves coming here--especially on Tuesdays when it's half off for the games with the MVP or Diamond card! Such a great deal and totally worth it. We love the variety of games they have, and we almost always walk out winning something, which makes it even more fun and memorable. The food is actually really good too! The staff are always friendly and accommodating, both in the restaurant and gaming areas, and I really appreciate how clean everything always is. I had a very disappointing experience with Rock 'N Fun Kapolei when I booked a birthday party for my son. I reserved a birthday package and paid a deposit in advance. On the day of the party, my family and guests arrived at the venue only to find out that the place was closed due to a power outage (Kona Storm). The problem is that no one from the business contacted me to inform me about the closure so I assumed they will be open. All of my invited guests had already arrived, and I had to explain to everyone that the venue was closed and that I was never notified. It was extremely embarrassing and stressful, especially since this was my son's birthday celebration. Because of the lack of communication, I had to scramble to find another venue at the last minute so the party wouldn't be completely ruined. I understand that power outages can happen, but failing to notify customers who have reservations and deposits is unacceptable. Businesses should have a system in place to contact customers when situations like this occur especially they are aware that a storm is coming. I emailed them about my reservation. The following day I waited if someone would reach out and explain what happened but NO ONE tried to contact me again. I had to call them first and tell them about my reservation. I spoke to the manager and he said they don't have control on the situation because everything was on the computer system and they don't have access to it since there is no electricity. Doesn't business supposed to have a back up plan in situations like this? Nobody thought of doing manual list of people who has reservations, the dates, time and their phone numbers, in case the power goes out? The manager said he will refund me with my deposit and that his office is looking into something to compensate me. It's been 10 days but only got the refund email. No oneeven bothered to reply on my email!! Terrible! I hope the management takes responsibility and improves their communication so this does not happen to other families in the future. read more

Friendly staff and the food is good. Tuesdays are the best times to go cause of their weekly deal if you're a VIP card member. I think you get like a 10% off discount, we usually go to the arcade area. My kids enjoy the games and the prizes as well. Fair warning: we only came for the arcade portion. The arcade is small, like one storefront. The rest has a 50s inspired dining. Looked like limited seating. The games take swipe cards which is standard now. They will not combine cards so if you have a family ration for your kids, there will be left over with nothing they will do about but give you a "sorry." If Starbucks can combine cards on an app, I'm sure this place can too. If not- come up with a plan and figure it out. Plus- how do you not have skew-ball? The bathrooms were gross. We came to play games but signs were posted on the self service kiosks to go to the counter for game cards. That was already an inconvenience, then we end up standing at the counter waiting to be served for over 15 minutes. There were two young girls working on a Saturday night. Each were helping someone, but one of the customers moved to the right to let us be helped (he was looking over something the cashier printed for him)... but the girl ignored us and slid over so she was standing in front of him waiting. Very awkward. The second cashier also chose to ignore us. She glanced over a couple times but didn't say anything like, "Hey, we'll be with you shortly" or anything. It has games and a section where you can dine in and eat. They serve burgers, fries and your normal typical food. We dined here when it was Johnny Rockets. They food was pretty tasty. For the games you need a players card to play games. The more points you accumulate, the better. You get into a higher tier. More benefits of that. The inside was fairly clean. My brother reserved several tables - maybe 5 tables in a row and the time was when the doors opened (10 a.m.). It was nice at this time because no one - I mean NO ONE - was there. The kids would run around and play the games and the adults would talk/catch up. The gaming area is similar to Fun Factory or any gaming facility but it seems less congested and more lighting. Rock N Fun had a bar and about 17 televisions. Yes, 17 TVs! Various football games were playing and we were able to follow watch our favorite teams. :) BIG PLUS! The food was okay. I had the Philly cheese steak - it was one of the favorites in the restaurant - and a chocolate milkshake. I guess because my brother got a special birthday package there was a number of milkshakes that with it. I thought it was okay. Not as thick as I hoped it would be, but definitely had the chocolate taste. Back to the Philly Cheese Steak - I thought the cheese steak was a bit bland. It could use some salt and pepper. The fries were unsalted. I'm not sure if that's how it's made. The onion rings were great - not too greasy, had a dipping sauce on the side, very crunchy. The restrooms were very clean. I give this place 10/10 Reserved Rock n Fun for my son's birthday for a party of 30. We reserved the 6pm slot and they give you 30 minutes prior to set up. At first there was an issue, where the party before us had not vacated the area by 5:30pm, but instead 6:20pm! I was very annoyed by the previous party still being in the reserved party area as I wanted to set up things before my guest arrived. I'm not sure whose fault that was, if it was the establishment or the other guest. But my frustration quickly went away from the great customer service! Their manager Jim (I think) came out to apologize for the inconvenience and gave my son a lot of birthday prizes. Jim was very helpful and flexible with our reservation. He did so much to make sure we were up to satisfactory. The food was pretty good. The chicken wings, tater tots and shakes were really good. We didn't get to try any burgers but will definitely come back to try. Alcohol was a good plus too. The games had a good selection for all of the kids. And the prizes were better than other places. We came here for my nephews birthday party. It's smaller than than I thought it was but big enough to have kid run around and play. Price wise it's a bit expensive which is probably the only down side to it al. I ordered the Route 66 which is basically a mushroom and Swiss cheese burger. To be fair their food is good. I'm pretty particular with my burger so I was surprised when their mushroom burger was well seasoned. The mushrooms were flavorful and not greasy. The caramelized onions had a nice bite to it, again not greasy at all. And unlike how some mushroom burgers just fall apart when you take a bites this one didn't. It was also the perfect size not to big where you need a knife and fork to eat it, because if you're going to eat your burger with a fork and knife it defeats the purpose of ordering a burger. At the same time it's not too small that you still left feeling hungry afterwards. The bacon and cheese tater tots are a must! I like how you get a taste of the bacon, some of the cheese, the tater tot, and the freshness of green onions. And given that everything is just piled on you would think it would be a soggy mess. I've never seen a Johnny rockets set up this way with all the arcade games, but it's pretty cool. The food is very simple American classics. The burgers aren't served with fries and the fries you order are family style (to share). My husband and I ordered different burgers, I honestly can't remember which one I got. Came in & a worker will assist you to a seat. They will give you a menu and everything is ala carte. So burgers & sides are separated. However you can add it as a meal for about $2 something. If you are with a group, I suggest you share a side. Their portions are good to share, and so delicious in flavor! Talk about flavor.. their patties are juicy and soo good. Customer service is spot on, and they even serve you with a smiley face used from ketchup on each table. Lmao!! What I really liked was when we ordered a milkshake. What we noticed about the nachos was that the chips were pretty crunchy. We appreciate that because after the toppings have been sitting on the Chips, it tends to get soggy and we don't like soggy chips. They have a kiosk where you can get your own Play card with points and i thoroughly enjoy that, no tokens being used, no having to insert anything in the games just a simple swipe. Depending on how often you play you can get upgraded to MVP which means to play the games you use less points. We always get the $50 card which has 300 points. Games can cost 6 points to 14 points. The most and only game that cost 55 points is the 3D Rollercoaster ride. Overall we always enjoy our time here! Whenever we go to Ka Makana Ali'i, we always stop by the arcade because or sons love to play there. There's a Johnny Rockets too but I'm not sure if they're the same company. This arcade is more for the older kids. I wish there were more rides for the little ones. They were just 2. The merry go round and the red car ride. I saw a new game which is the virtual reality Rabbids game. My son enjoyed that a lot cause he likes VR. My husband also likes the claw machine. It challenges him and he always tries to win something, small or big. We were able to get a big puppy stuffed animal before, and we were trying to get the big pineapple but it was just too hard. They really sink those stuffed animals in there, they don't make it easy at all! So we moved on to the smaller claw machine and we easily were able to get 2 toys, and we were happy. Our experience here was pretty underwhelming. We stopped by because we have walked by this place so many times and it was conveniently located at the mall. We came here so our little one could play some games. I recommend just making the drive to D&B instead. If you have little ones you are better off going to Chuck E. We had our son's 6th birthday here and got the a packaged deal which charged $22.95 per guest. We got 2 pizzas, 24 wings, and 2 pitchers of either soda or Coors. You also got $25 card for games. This place was a great fit for us. Dave N Busters was more expensive and too sprawled out to watch smaller kiddos. Fun Factory is cheaper, but it doesn't include food... or beer. Plus, at Rock n Fun they said you can walk around with your drink. At Fun Factory, you have to keep your food/drink in the designated areas. Staff was very attentive. We were there on a Saturday for lunch and it wasn't crowded. Food was decent and they have TVs showing football games. Games and prizes for kids, football and beer for the parents. She was extremely patient considering I have two twin toddlers and a 6 month old. She did a great job at explaining the menu and didn't even need to write our order down. Loved they had all the NFL games on the many TVs. My second time here and thought this was a good idea to get relief from the Hawaiian heat while the kids burn off some energy running around. But still NO WATER! The food was alright. Nothing special. The bun on our burgers were extremely greasy and the burger itself was so small!! Definitely not what I expected for an $9 burger. I'd take my money elsewhere, and get a better burger for sure. The shake tasted like the one I get at Jack in the Box for 1/3 of the price. I finished my burger quickly, and our waitress came to check on us. My mom was still eating at the time, but the waitress asked us if we wanted our check. We agreed, to not seem rude. Our receipt came and we placed a card on it quickly. However, we waited nearly 10 minutes for someone to pick up our check. Mind you, the restaurant is SMALL. 10 tables at most. If I could leave a million starts I would. Reah and Blossom went above and beyond for me and my family when a few popular games decided to glitch. These two absolutely deserve the biggest raise ever! Not only we're they kind, they also did their best to make sure that we got back the credits we lost and threw in a curtsey round for the kids. I had the rocket original for 11.99 and fries for $2.79 plus a diet soda that was another $3.29. A little pricey in my opinion. For an establishment that made it's name for burgers I was not impressed. It was supposed to be a quarter lb burger, I think it total weight was a quarter lb total. The onion slice on the sandwich was bigger than the meat which couldn't taste. The only flavor was the onion. I'd consider eating there again based on customer service, which was outstanding but would try chicken instead. They need to step up their game on the burgers. Hope the chicken is better.
