I also always get the slushie to drink, which pairs perfectly with the meal. The staff is friendly, the parking is easy, and the prices are decent for what you get. This place was 10/10 all around. We were greeted as soon as we walked in, service was excellent. We were given menu suggestions, allergies were taken seriously, and she truly did help us find foods that fit our flavor preferences. I got the spicy chicken melt and my gosh was it good. The chicken was crisp, juicy, and the gochujang sauce was DELICIOUS! My husband got the double down and said that it was incredible. The pastrami to brisket ratio was perfect and they added just the right amount of bbq sauce to enhance the meat flavors but not over power. My daughter also loved her grilled cheese. It was definitely more cheese than bread and she even tried tomato soup for the first time- also loved it. We also took a gamble and tried the toast of the month. I will admit I'm not a big "fake strawberry" flavor girl so I was worried I wouldn't like it but it was delicious. It's also the perfect size for sharing! Tried the fried chicken sandwich and oh my lord... it was HUGE. I swear there were like 4-5 chunks/strips of food ole fried chicken in there, and the fixings were out of this world. It came out hot and fresh. Everything I've tried here has been so good. My friend loves the lobster roll and refuses to order anything else. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. Trust me, your hands will get messy from all the juiciness--but no worries, there's a sink inside the restaurant so you can wash up. Water cups are $0.50, but totally worth it since the cups are extra cute and reusable. Also, the brisket sandwich deserves a recognition, it has a nice, thick slab of brisket. Waffle fries are $4 extra, but they complement pretty much anything you order. At this point, I need to make a copy of the menu and cross off items as I try them. Came here for lunch for the first time and I opted for the buttah burger. I believe I had their lobster roll long time ago when they were downtown and I remember liking it. I noticed they had a lot of anime figurines around the space which was cool AND they have a clean sink which was nice to wash your hands before you eat. Convenient. Good came out pretty quick and it was tasty! I had a single burger. It had like a thousand Island dressing sauce and some pickled vege! The kine on a viet sandwich which went well with the burger - gave it some crunch and tangyness which I liked. I also got side of corn chowder which was good. Amazing service and staff was quick to address an issue with my order! Ordered online for the buttah lobster roll and the bbq brisket fries. I swore I requested no onions on the buttah lobster roll and when I got home there were onions! I drove back and told them that I ordered online and requested no onions and asked for them to remake the sandwich. I was quite heated but when they checked they said my order did not show the request to hold the onions. I was even more heated but with myself! After all that they still were willing to remake the sandwich!!!! Super disappointed with myself but very grateful that they did that for me! Buttah lobster roll is delicious - it's served cold and comes with chunks of lobster topped with pickled veggies, sliced onions, cilantro and a lemon wedge. There's no modifications such as asking to have lobster warmed or served without mayo. But you can remove items (onions, cilantro etc.) just make sure to ask! BBQ Brisket fries are a generous portion of waffle fries topped with their brisket and drizzled with BBQ sauce. One order easily can be shared between two hungry adults! And so we came to jolene's for a casual lunch. Jolene's is situated in the middle of a large shopping center and would not necessarily stand out if you weren't looking for it. It is a great place if you're looking for a quick coffee and sandwich or a lunch plate. My family really enjoyed the food and the casual atmosphere we got here. They had a clean facility, friendly staff, and tasty food choices. My wife opted for one of their burgers. I think she chose the buttah-burger. She loved it. My daughter opted for the lobster roll, which is a traditional East Coast style lobster sandwich. My son and I opted for more traditional island fare so we ordered...Loco Moco and a smoked pork plate. There were both Fantastic. For most items, we paid between $10-$20. It was a cool place to eat and a nice first experience for the kids with local island style dining. When we come back we will try to check this place out again. read more

Update: I called the restaurant and talked with the manager and she explained that they wash the lettuce and dry with napkin so that could be why the napkin was in the bun. She said she will talk with staff to make sure they check more carefully for such things. She did comp the burger for me and gave credit for my next visit. We got takeout & they exceeded my expectations. We would have eaten there but we were actually exhausted from a long day sightseeing and exploring, we just wanted to get to the resort and relax. The establishment looks very clean and feels inviting. The neon wall and wall art and very nice touches. They have a very good menu- so many tasty options. I ordered the buttah lobster roll with fries and my partner ordered the brisket melt. My partner is a tough food critic specially with meats. He hates chewy cartilaginous pieces, overcooked, under-seasoned and sloppy food- he loved his brisket melt. Zero complaints. Everything was flavorful, delicious and fresh. The girl that was taking the orders was patient, so sweet, kind and even gave me a compliment. If you're in Oahu, skip the dining in waikiki and support the local hidden gems like Jolene's. Please please PLEASE eat here!! This was one of the best places to eat on the island! The inside was so cute and the staff were incredibly nice! I came here with a friend and we got the lobster roll, spicy sausage roll, and the brisket loaded fries! Man o man was ALL of it good!! The rolls were perfectly buttered yet not soggy at all. The meat was fresh and flavorful. The waffle fries were sooo crispy and seasoned so well, even with all the sauce and brisket on it, it never got soggy! OMG! Their food is amazingggg. The shrimp plate was good (7.5/10) BUT the BBQ brisket sandwich was perfectttt (100/10). It was so soft, delicious, and good quality! Another update 8/8/2025. Finally tried their BBQ Brisket Burger. It has their 18 hr smoked brisket, Asian style picked veggies(daikon, lettuce, sweet Asian dressing), bbq & creamy sauce. The brisket burger didn't disappoint. It was tender and tasty and I was surprised by its hefty weight. The sauces and Japanese daikon veggies with the sweet Asian dressing surprisingly complemented well with the brisket. The traditional BBQ sauce was ok but really not essential and to me was a slight distraction. This brisket burger was literally a handful but my big appetite put that sucker away in short order. I ordered it as a combo with soup. I didn't care for the Tomato Bisque soup. It was very tart and tangy, not rich, smooth and creamy like I expected so I couldn't finish it and sadly had to knock off a star. That being said, most of the main menu items so far have been great and the service is always great with a smile. Management trains their employees well. I also like the green garden-inspired artificial foliage that covers the walls that gives it a cozy & trendy ambiance. Yes, I'll be back to try more items on their menu. read more

Had to share this dessert we ate when we went back to Jolene's Ewa Beach and how friendly the staff here are, super nice, welcoming and helpful! So they have this seasonal dessert called the Maple Pumpkin Toast......sooooo good! They said it's seasonal so not sure how much longer they will have it. The Japanese toasted bread with this pumpkin fluff (not heavy, but light and fluffy), sprinkled with candied pecans and drizzled with maple syrup. It was sooo...good! And even if I was full after eating their lobster roll, I skipped the fries and took it home so I could indulge in this dessert! Hubby had the Smoked Brisket Loco Moco and enjoyed it! Early dinner from Ewa Beach, Oahu, Hawaii... I have now been to every location of Jolene's on this island! Chinatown has the most challenging parking situation. Airport has an industrial ambiance. Kaneohe is spacious and has easy parking. Ewa Beach is the most Instagramable! Check out the signature koi fish wall right outside the cafe! Look at all of the cute wall murals! With free parking at the Laulani Shopping Center, this Jolene's is located between Hawaii State Federal Credit Union and Ahi & Vegetable on the Ross wing of the mall. Service was exceptionally friendly and efficient! Rowena is a cheerful cashier and was very helpful and informative! She explained how Jolene drew the designs on the package! Wow! Very cool! I got the famous Buttah Lobster Roll... it has soft, thick bread with some pickled veggies underneath the shredded lobster. It's a perfect combination of tart and sweet vs. chewy and crisp. This Jolene's location is really close to my house and where I do a lot of my errands, so we finally tried it out one day. We were hungry and since we hadn't ever been to a Jolene's before, the menu was a little overwhelming. Everything sounded so good. The counter ladies were great and made some suggestions. We ended up getting a few things to share--chicken sandwich, corn chowder, cajun fries--and the portions were very generous. I'm going to need to go back to try lots of other things! In addition to the great menu, they also carry a bunch of packaged food items and have a really cute gift display. Their reusable bags are so cute. That stuff really distracted me while I was trying to concentrate on ordering lunch. I may have to go back sometime to nab some cute goodies.
