Hamburger steak, with 3 sides. Brown rice, fried noodles and stir fried mixed veggies.
    Tripps F.

Ordered the hamburger steak and the only way I can describe it is 2 hockey pucks covered with some kind of sweet tasting brown gravy. Hamburger patties shouldn't be dry and tough like this. Should be tender and juicy where you can cut it with a plastic fork, instead of the plastic fork breaking when I attempted to break off a piece. Not sure what was going on with the brown gravy, but shouldn't be on the sweet side. Brown rice was cooked with too much water to the point the rice was bland. Fried noodles were ok, as was the stir fried mixed veggies, thus getting 2 stars and not just 1. Would I come back? Probably not.

Lunch in Waipahu, Oahu, Hawaii... Finding great places is easy with the Yelp app! Just search the area (city) where you want to dine and look through the list! That's how I found Aina Grill! I had never heard of Aina Grill before, but they're quite popular and even won an award! They've been at this cozy spot for about 5 years! I saw photos of the special Guava BBQ sauce on Grilled Sirloin and decided to get it. The mini plate comes with 2 sides. I selected the coleslaw and the cheesy baby potatoes. Everything was delicious! The thinly sliced beef tasted yummy and was tender! The fresh coleslaw had the right amount of crunch and tartness! The cheesy potatoes were interesting and not overpowering! I would return if I were in the area! I hope the owner's girlfriend is there again - she was very friendly and knowledgeable. The young man at the cash register was just doing his job... LOL!

You can taste that grilled flavor, which is nice when you are looking for this. I had a el immigrante burger, loco moco burrito and their house cut, seasoned and fried French fries! There is a Mexican restaurant next door but it's not part of Aina Grill. Also some day we'll work up to competing in the 6lb burrito competition and make it into the wall of Fame not the wall of shame

The bs I got. (808 cheesesteak)

Added 2 photos, one is off there website for comparison. The differences explain itself. Please tell me why my plate was $24 and some change? I can get past an expensive plate if the quality is there but sadly I can't say it was. The potatoes and Mac n cheese were mid, not much taste. I called in ahead so I can't speak on wait time and/or customer service. Limited parking and seating.

    Double bacon cheeseburger

Ordered beef kawali & double bacon cheeseburger. Both were delicious. One of the best burgers we've ever had. Easily tops any of the other specialty burger places we've tried (and we've tried a lot of the). What's great is you can custom your toppings and they have unique ones like chimichurri. A ton of side options. The beef kawali was a first for me. If you like lechon kawali give it a try. The 2 owners were there working and were very friendly & welcoming. SUPPORT LOCAL!!! Awesome food, variety of options & reasonable pricing! We'll be back again!

I got so excited when my hubby suggested ordering from Aina Grill today. I've been craving their Beef Kawali, so I ordered it again. I also tried their Smoked Marlin Dip with crispy pita chips. Parking was a breeze. There were plenty of spots available when we got there and our food was ready for pick-up when we arrived. Alejandro, the owner, greeted us and served our order. Nice and friendly guy! The Beef Kawali is still my favorite, though I felt it was cooked a bit better and crispier last time. I really love how the savory beef fat melts in my mouth. The chillipeppahwatah is really a game changer for me when I added it to the beef Kawali. I really like eating it this way. The Smoked Marlin Dip, however, didn't quite meet my expectations. It lacked the fresh, smoky flavor I usually look for in a smoked marlin dip. There's definitely room for improvement with this dish. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'll definitely be back for more Beef Kawali! Hehe

I usually get a burger after my doctor appointments in Pearl City. But as this appointment was later than usual, they were already closed for the day. Then I remembered Aina Grill has fresh tasty burgers! Ordered for delivery on our way home so it arrived shortly after we did. Got our usual Pinoy bbq sticks, yum!! Hubs wanted beef so teriyaki steak for him. Portions were all generous and love that we had so many delicious sides to enjoy! Check out my previous Aina Grill review for how MUCH we love them lol. My burger totally hit the spot. I love that you can specify how to dress your burger! No need to pull it apart to add them yourself. Small detail but I love that they have the option. Their burger is like a fresh homemade burger... lots of flavor without fillers. I said it already but it's worth repeating. Their dishes are like beloved home cooked meals without the dirty dishes!

    808 Cheesesteak
    Matt D.

Came back to revisit this spot after five years. Once again, the flavors of both dishes were absolutely delicious: perfectly seasoned, rich, and satisfying without being too heavy. We ordered the 808 cheesesteak (first time) and the Huli Huli chicken again. The portion sizes are just right, leaving you full and happy. On top of that, the service is outstanding, friendly, fast, and attentive. Whether a local or visiting, Aina Grill delivers a consistent dining experience that keeps me coming back for more. Highly recommended!

Steak plate with noodles, potatoes, and Spanish rice

I was roaming around the Waipahu area and yelp search brought me here. The food here was interesting. It seems like mixed local Asian dishes. Ordered takeout: steak plate with noodles, potatoes, and Spanish rice. Food was pretty good. I like the cheese potatoes. Pricing was okay. Not cheap eats but decent food for the price.

Excellent food and service! Aina Grill is always a must stop for us when we visit Oahu. This time around I had the Teriyaki Chicken. Delicious! And your choice of 3 sides included!

Aina Grill is one of many hidden gems on the west side of Oahu. Utilizing the diverse culture onto their menu. A mix of local, Japanese, and filipino foods can be seen on their menu. Also, Raina Huang aka RainaisCrazy has competed in Aina Grills Loco Moco Burrito Challenge. A five pounds burrito finish in 9:20. Link below https://youtu.be/ODYpYRhtYEk?si=OV4eoBQRS0qHNvdy Staff service is excellent. Welcoming and accommodating, the staff will help you get your order the way you want it and help you understand the menu. Interior has a small seating area to dine in, its clean, and well-kept.
