We had a large party of 10 and our waitress was very nice and patient. Especially when they were multiple separate checks. I personally do not like separate checks but I couldn't afford to pay for it all. Menu was ok and the seems to enjoy their food which were mostly salads. I ordered a burger with fries that were awful. Cold and just dry. The worst part is the restaurants restroom. It definitely and really needs some touch up painting and updating. Overall, I've been here over a dozen times for different occasions, but what bummed me out the last few times was my fries were so stale. Recently went there this past Thursday and it was the worst. Talking a picture would do no justice so I didn't even try and I thought I would let it go. This time it was weird because 3 days later I'm thinking about how stale it was. You know what, I'm going to give this place a 4 because it has improved a lot. I'll get straight to it though, parking is trash. At least parking that is close is trash. The set up of Waikele is absolutely horrible. The food was surprisingly good and is a huge improvement over the other locations that used to exist. I wanted to try more than just one thing so I got the Triple Dipper, Pasta, Burger and had some alcohol. The spring roll was different, it almost reminded me of a croissant. The staff is great. Stopped into Chili's Waikele today with my Favorite Son and we're happy to find this location is still as good as we remembered! Thanks to recent Yelp reviews, we came prepared with winter wear - and wow, it was still freezing. Seriously, if you don't tolerate cold well, you may want to request a warmer table (if one exists). I felt like I was sitting in the grocery store freezer/cooler aisle, bomber jacket and all. On to the food! We both ordered the Triple Dipper and shared the ribs. The Triple Dippers were great - hot, fresh, and exactly what we hoped for. The mozzarella sticks delivered an impressive, extra-long cheese pull (the whole reason my son came haha!). He got the honey-chipotle and loved it. The ribs, unfortunately, were the letdown. Flavor was good, but they were very thin and tough like jerky - more bones with sauce than actual meat. Fries and broccoli were solid tho. If the ribs were like they used to be, this would've been a 5-star review. Service was fantastic. We interacted with several staff members during our visit, and every single one was friendly and attentive. Our server Lisa was amazing - efficient, warm, and clearly experienced. We chose dine in for lunch. Table and cushioned seats were clean. Restrooms are located inside at far right of restaurant. Customer service exceeded our expectations. Our Server checked in on us a few times, asked how our food is tasting, brought extra napkins, if there's anything we need, ensured our beverages were refilled in a timely manner. We went to Chili's tonight since we were in the area. The wait wasn't long at all; it could be that there wasn't a lot of people eating out due to the rain, but we were seated quickly. My husband ordered the 4 piece chicken crispers. It came with Mac and cheese and fries. He really enjoyed the chicken and said that whatever batter the chicken was fried with tasted really good. He said it was crispy like the name and moist and juicy inside. My daughter enjoyed the Mac and cheese. I ordered the 3 for me - shrimp Cajun pasta with garlic bread, loaded bake potato soup, and lemonade drink. It was an enjoyable meal and a great deal. My daughter also liked the soup as well. Since when did Chili's decline to sit you if you have an outside drink? I came here for dinner and the hostess told me "I'm sorry but we don't allow outside drinks". There's no signs posted outside or on the doors. I just bought my drink and was not about to throw it away.. Especially since I've never had this issue before. We ended up leaving and eating at another nearby restaurant that allowed me to have my drink. Management, if you don't allow outside drinks, maybe it would be beneficial to post something on the doors or outside the establishment so customers are aware before walking into the restaurant and being denied seating until the beverage is gone. If you go to this Chili's location, make sure you don't have an outside beverage or you'll be refused service unless you throw it away or leave it in your car. read more

Came for lunch on a weekday with 3 coworkers. I was a little disappointed that they didn't have a lunch time special menu. But that's okay because I always enjoy their chicken crispers meal. It is consistently tasty! We also got chips & salsa + white skillet queso for an appetizer. The service was ok. I think it could have been a little better, being that it wasn't very crowded. It seemed like we waited a long time for the checks to come out as well as drink refills not being tended to. I could've understood the slow service if it was a busy time. But this is my reasoning for a 4 star rating. We were seated in the bar area so it was a little loud so we found ourselves kind of speaking loudly to each other so we could hear the conversations. If you'd like a more peaceful dinner time conversation, request to not be seated in the bar area. A big shout out to Jason and the crew who prepared my LARGE to-go order on 2/24/26. I tried to order our office birthday meals both online and on my app, with no success. I was getting very frustrated and stressed because the app wouldn't take payment and there would be 14 hangry people staring me down if they didn't get their lunch! LOL! I walked into the Waikele Chili's after work to place my order in person for the next day's lunch. Jason helped me order all our meals and he couldn't charge my card either. BUT, he got my order in successfully! My husband picked up our food the next day, paid with my credit card and brought our lunches for us to enjoy. I was very impressed with the care that was taken in making and packaging all those meals! Each box was marked with its contents and each bag was labeled according to what was in there... salads, burgers, etc. It made it so easy to figure out what was what and who it was for. A HUGE MAHALO to everyone who helped make this all possible! Drinks were refreshed quickly. The food was made well and seasoned perfectly. The burgers here never miss. I think the management or owner of this establishment must not be the best. The specials offered by the mainland chains are not offered here at all. 3 for me doesn't exist here, not even at a higher price. No discounts at all. No military or senior discount. I appreciate that this Chili's has ample parking, and have improved their customer service with solidly happy greeters/hosts at the door. They are wildly popular with folks who find a sense of familiarity with a corporate restaurant like Chili's which feels the same from venue to venue. My child will pick this place as an eat out option because of the salsa and chips. And their chicken tenders that come with sauce he likes. The other kid will happily consume fancy lemonade. Their mom and dad like the interesting drink offerings. And they give so much food, we bring home leftovers. It's where people come. Had to write this review to express how awesome our server, Johnna was! :) It was a Wednesday night when we came in with our church group, so you wouldn't think it would be busy but I was wrong. I've worked in the food industry before, so random weeknights that are busy can really put a damper on your plan for a chill night and can even affect your attitude, but not Johnna. We were only a group of six, but even that can be a hassle depending on the server you get. I love when a server knows how to handle a group. She lead us well in splitting the checks, ordering, and serving. And when the kitchen got my husband's order wrong, Johnna worked to get his order corrected and on our table asap. Food was great - love white Mac and cheese - and everyone on the table mopped their plates! Off the bat, Id like to say that three hostess' in the front were not able to manage the influx of dinner customers on a Sunday evening. Forgetting faces, parties, and wait times. From here it went to being seated at a table that was wet. Both the table top and booth chairs. We were then told to wipe the table top with provided napkins by ourselves. Food took a while. So the restaurant was clean. The servers were nice. They got all of the orders correct. The food was hot and fresh, and the drinks were on point especially the margaritas! If you are coming from the mainland just know that the offerings are way less than let's say in New Mexico or Texas. It's a three page menu and there are no 3 for 10's or other lunch deals. Of course it's Hawaii priced but there is the familiarity and comfort across brand and consistency so there is that. If I could rate this experience any lower, I would. I called Chili's to place a to-go order and spent 20 minutes listening to chaos. Every time I tried to speak, I got "hold on," while hearing the employee chatting with others in the background. I get that restaurants get busy, but if you're going to ask for my order, at least finish taking it before tossing me back on hold like I don't matter. After the third round of being ignored, I hung up and drove there myself. When I got there, I told the young lady at the front I wanted to place a to-go order. She said I needed to go to the bar. I said, "I'm not ordering a drink," and she said that's still where I had to go. Fine. She walked me to the bar, told me to stand at the end, and said someone would assist me. I waited 15 minutes. Nothing. I went back to her and asked again. She went to the back, came out, and said someone would be right out. Ten minutes later, the bartender finally appeared. At first, the bartender was the only bright spot in this whole mess. She was polite, patient, and clearly overworked. I sat there for over 25 minutes waiting for my food and watched her juggle everything, running the bar, serving the outdoor tables, cleaning up, handling checks, all by herself. Meanwhile, two people in the back were standing around by the chip machine talking story, and the hostess up front was busy drawing chili peppers on a board like it was art class. But then came the final straw. When I got my receipt to pay, I noticed one of the items I had ordered wasn't even on it. I'm guessing it was a mistake from being completely overwhelmed, but at that point, I was done. I didn't even bother saying anything. I just smiled, paid my bill, left a 25 dollar tip because I could see how hard she was working, and walked out. That's how much this restaurant drained my patience. And honestly, that tip wasn't for Chili's, it was for her, because she was doing three jobs while everyone else coasted. Chili's in Hawaii, this is embarrassing. The food is fine, but your service is falling apart. You've already lost several locations across the islands, and I can see why. It's not the food that's killing your business, it's the management. to be honest chili's is the only place i go to just for the molten lava cake, the food is okay, and the service is mid at most, 3 out of 5 times ive been there there was a wait for almost an hour for food even when it wasn't busy, our server never brought our drinks or utensils. i'll still order the molten lava cake though, cheers read more

Truly, I don't like to use Yelp for negative reviews but here we are. I dined in at chilis tonight (Friday August 1) where I had multiple discrepancies.... I took my 3 year old to the bathroom where here we used the bigger/ handicapped stall located right next to the entrance... upon exiting the stall an employee abruptly opened the door hitting my child in the head... There she had apologized saying "these doors are dangerous" and knowing that why would you open the door like that... sure it's poor design but maybe that is something to consider to prevent a future law suit from happening cuz I can guarantee that this would be in violation of some safety/ fire code... At this point I was livid and wanted to leave so I asked for my check and when reviewing my tab I had realized I was over charged ! I was one over charged for an extra appetizer (when I had addressed the server if I had ordered a chips and salsa and she said "no" so I ordered "another" resulting in me getting charged for two... and also charged for an extra margarita. The discrepancies were fixed with my tab and I closed out.... After I asked to speak to a manager and her response was lacking professionalism. I work as a bartender/ MOD at a restaurant as well and when I told her what had happened she said, " did my employee apologize"... "I didn't build the bathrooms" Despite the fact of her rude and inhospitable manner she asked me what she can do? And I asked her "what can you do?" She doesn't deserve that Title of being a manager due to the fact that she lacks knowledge as to how to handle these kind of situations... The over charging me is something I can let slide.... Waikele Chili's great choice to go to! We were nearby shopping when we saw Chili's restaurant we have not eating there for the longest time. We were hungry ordered two Big Mouth hamburger both with avocado!
