Spur of the moment dinner after a very productive church meeting. Yummy grinds and great conversation with good friends! Triple dipper is my fave, with bbq sauce instead of ranch dressing. Saturday April 25, 2026 After working out at Planet Fitness Kahala. It was lunch time. So, we decided to come to Chili's as it was close by and we already had parking. We haven't been here in a very long time. My cousin used to live up the street by me. But, then he moved to Aiea. Back then we used to come all the time. Plenty parking. We were seated right away. Service was friendly and fast from Cammie. We ordered. Food came out shortly after. It looked good. Everything tasted good. I was so hungry and I thought I would eat it all. But, after a while I couldn't eat it all and ended up taking half of it home as it was a lot of food. I ate it for dinner later. Ambiance is casual and comfortable in here. Got a pretty good deal with the 3 for me promotion. Less than $60 for two people for entree, drink and appetizer. Portions are huge, food is pretty good and drinks are a nice touch. We went for a Sunday dinner at around 500pm and were sat right away. It actually took longer to find parking since the parking lot was crowded when we arrived. We got the Beef Queso with Chips and Salsa, Quesadilla Explosion Salad, Mushroom and Swiss Burger with Curly Fries, and a Chicken Crispers and Corn Kid's Meal. Beef Queso with Chips and Salsa This is one of our must gets when we go. We didn't know that they took off the Beef Queso from the menu for the Southwest Queso but were glad that it came back. The chips and salsa are great as well. Quesadilla Explosion Salad We that this salad was pretty good. It was pretty filling for a salad and everything went together well in it. Mushroom and Swiss Burger with Curly Fries The burger was good. The patty was cooked well but could have used a little more seasoning. The Curly Fries were pretty good. It was our first time getting it and we were satisfied with it. Chicken Crispers and Corn Kid's Meal The chicken was as expected. Cooked well and tasted good. The service was great. We got a new server when we went on Friday , it was her first day. I wish I remembered her name cuz she made our night, she was so funny and nice! She accidentally put in an order for something we didn't order but her attitude was so great and we weren't bothered by the mistake. The manager was kind of mean to her and made her feel bad about it when it was literally not a big deal at all. He took it off our bill and made a big stink about it apologizing profusely and blaming her but we didn't even know we were getting charged for it initially. Like dude chill out lol. You could feel the stress seeping out of him. Girly had to apologize on behalf of him LOL. I wish they didn't simplify the interior I miss OG chilis vibes. Food is always good though. Triple dipper and quesadilla explosion salad are a must. Our mozzarella sticks were warm but not stretchy warm :( also I think they changed up their chicken tenders?? They're SOOOOO much better. I had a surprisingly good time; my son wanted to eat here for his birthday with his friends. Food was a little better than I expected from an old chain restaurant, the burger was okay, the appetizers were good, the salads were decent sized and felt like an actual meal, unlike the skimpy salads you get at many restaurants. They have a keiki menu so the total came out pretty reasonable for a party of 6 with 3 kids. Service was really nice. Although the parking lot got full, at least there is a parking lot, and if I have to, I can always find a spot on the 2nd level. Went there for Mother's Day's lunch and we both had the Garden Salad & shared Triple Dipper and endless Chips & Salsa. The Garden Salads were fresh and crisp and they place the dressing on the side without asking which is great. It was my first time dining at Chili's, and overall the experience was a mix of great service but average food. We ordered the Triple Dipper appetizer with the Nashville hot mozzarella sticks, burger sliders, and Southwestern egg rolls. 1/2025 .... Talked to the waitress and they said that the owner decided to remove all reward programs due to giving out too many freebies. Not sure how but the yelp age should be updated to indicate that the yelp check in free chips and salsa is no longer valid and hasn't been valid for months according to the reviews and tips. Chips and salsa are still so good since the chips are fresh but didn't realize it got so expensive, it's now $9.99, opted to get the queso for a little more and then it seemed a bit more worth it they packed the skillet with lots of queso we had a ton leftover to take home. First time @ the Kahala location. Went for lunch & got seated immediately . Nice Interior & noticed the clean restrooms. Menu has a lot of variety, so the 3 in our party, knew what we wanted. Bacon cheese burger with fries a house toss salad with ranch dressing & a southwest with fried chicken salad& balsamic vinaigrette dressing. The food took a little longer to come out & we shared that we should have ordered an appetizer. All salads and burger were good. Went for dinner and did a walk in as we were at the shopping mall. We ordered the triple dipper, South western egg rolls, big mouth bites and honey chipotle chicken crispers, this was a huge amount of food, the pictures don't even come close, also ordered the nachos. I had the best time here the other day. All our food was delicious and service was excellent. It was really busy on a Friday and all the food still came out quickly. My husband's Sante Fe burger was huge and his curly fries were well seasoned and hot. I opted for regular fries and wish I went with curly fries or onion rings. My son enjoyed his beef queso with chicken quesadillas and of course we had bottomless chips and salsa. The chips are different but still taste good and they has a $10 Margarita special. I had ordered from this Chili's twice before with zero issues, so I wasn't worried at all. Everything arrived on time, but then came the heartbreak The Triple Dippers (our favorite) were off. My mom was missing an entire Southwestern Eggroll--which is honestly the star of the show--and in my order, the two eggrolls looked like they came from two completely different dads. Like half siblings kine. One was golden and perfect... the other was pale and depressed, like it never fully committed to being fried you know I normally don't complain, but between a mysterious missing eggroll and the obvious inconsistency--on a big family order--I figured I should say something. I wasn't expecting anything to happen from that either, honestly. Then came the plot twist... Within 24 hours, I was contacted by Chanel, the Hawaii Chili's Guest Engagement Manager. She reached out right away, asked for a few details, and genuinely took ownership of the situation--on behalf of the kitchen AND DoorDash. No excuses, no brushing it off. Just accountability and kindness throwing shakas at me from the start!! She ended up mailing vouchers to me along with an apology note I wasn't even sure if it was real but I did put it in my wallet for just in case kine tingzzz. One day there I was at Kahala Mall and no luck hunting for sales I was hungry and I took my baby and my 11-year-old to lunch at Chili's Kahala. Forgot I had the vouchers until I went into my wallet and once I showed our waitress the vouchers, she immediately said, "Oh yeah, those are very real." AYYYY Cue happy mom moment We had a great meal (as always), and what really stood out was that Chanel followed up again afterward bumbai just to make sure everything was okay. 10/10 would recommend! We joined the waitlist via this app, and did as instructed. When we arrived we were told it would be a 10 minute wait or we could self seat at the bar. I politely declined and informed the host that we can't sit on the high bar chairs (90% of the seating to the left of the host stand) while asking to be seated in a booth or lower table which she obliged. After reviewing the menu and waiting now over 40 minutes, the host is helping clear tables in the area we asked not to be seated. Another host texts my phone and comes over to tell me she's ready to seat us, mind you I sat inside waiting the entire time. As we stand up I see her walking into the left and I say, "Wait, are you seating us on the high bar chairs?" and of course she says yes. My husband who is now frustrated tells me nope let it go we're leaving and proceeds to walk out. The host asks what's wrong, to which I say I asked for a booth or low table. She tells me she wasn't aware and there's no notes. An the host that I originally spoke with said "oh yeah I'm sorry she wanted a booth I forgot to tell you" while speaking to the other host. Now going back and forth while telling me wait, I politely declined and said no thank you and left following my husband. I truthfully think communication is very important and clearly there wasn't much. I was the 18th table on the waitlist when I arrived. I observed the hosts telling everyone who confirmed they're checkin be told it would be a 10 minute wait, while those whose name were being added to the waitlist was told the wait time would be 30-45mins. How can you communicate two different timeframes to two different parties whose names were after us, when we were already waiting an additional 30mins from the 10mins you quoted? Then bicker in front of customers about who's fault it was for not passing my table request along? I'm sure it's a tough job, and clearly you could see it was a busy night. But communication is key amongst staff, and honesty should've been given upon arrival. I don't foresee us going there for dinner, but I who knows I think I may have a better chance at lunch.? read more

Edit 1: I was contacted and received a call from a corporate manager thanking me for my feedback, explained how they were going to learn from my experience, and offered compensation. I'm very pleased with how the management handled this review, I will be returning to Chilli's for another chance. This is maybe the only time I had a bad experience, so if I get another good one like I have before, I'll change the stars. Edit 2: The servers were very quick to greet my partner and I then said it would only be a few minutes. The Yelp system was actually down that night so they didn't put our names down on anything BUT we were indeed seated very quickly. At the end of our meal I also asked our server about this and they said unfortunately it sometimes goes down for a while. Not their fault, but that does suck because I even tried to add myself to the waitlist before I arrived there. Chili's is always a vibe. Can never go wrong. I love their unlimited chips & salsa and their new margaritas they often come out with. Right now, I'm really into Spic-a-rita and Ling-mu-rita. They're not overly sweet and refreshing. Their service is always "okay". They are usually always busy so I see the servers running around a lot, so it's hard for them to be attentive. Every time I go, I usually have to wait 5-10 mins to even get greeted and get our waters. So if you're on a time crunch, I recommend you going somewhere else or just getting their takeout. read more

I had the Chili's Cheeseburger and it was delicious. It came with those jumbo size fries that I like. That's the good part. The bad part is they have been out of Diet Coke for over a month. What's so hard about fixing that. I can't drink any other soda so I had to settle for Iced Tea. when my burger arrived, I had asked them for mayonnaise and when I opened my bun to check, it was a small glob and it wasn't centered on the patty. Perhaps the training of new workers needs improvement: young female hosts with attitude are the worst first impression: this one would not respond to us, made no eye contact, slammed down our menus after walking us to our seats, then said "enjoy" with her back towards us as she walked away.
