Sign right when you come in, to order food before having a seat. After ordering, if you plan to eat in; they will give you a # & bring the food to your table. Food and portion is good! Friendly staff and very helpful :) came here for brunch & it was average noisy but was busy here & there. Crowd came in waves but lucky thing there was open seats. Complementary water. Hot coffee refills are free. Today the Chunky money pancakes was a $1 off. Overall food tastes great for breakfast/brunch. They also have lunch menu.

Lunch in Waipahu, O'ahu, Hawaii... Cony wanted pancakes for her birthday, so we took her to Koa Pancake House. Located at Waipahu Town Center, Koa Pancake House is located between New Hope and AT&T... in the building next to Longs Drugs Store. Shared, free parking is plentiful! Inside, the clean restaurant was almost empty. They must be busy during breakfast and weekends. The air-conditioning was really cold and the music was very audible. Service at the counter was helpful and efficient! After I ordered at the counter, our meal, utensils, napkins, and condiments were brought to us. I got a soft drink at the self-service fountain. We had the bacon plate with scrambled eggs and a side of strawberry whipped cream pancakes. It was really filling! We couldn't finish the pancakes. Too bad the strawberries were frozen, not fresh. Pancakes were on the chewy side. Overall, we had a good experience! Cony was happy! LOL!

Came here because we wanted to taste some crêpes! It was a good hour or two before they closed and they were already mopping and closing up. It was only noon Ish and I believe they closed at 2 PM - Just felt kind of awkward sitting there, but no biggie, we tried not to leave a mess as well. We ordered three crêpes, and didn't realize there were three crêpes per plate so we had a lot of crêpes! They tasted OK nothing fantastic wise. We had the strawberry along with the banana - just a lot of food at the end. They have a huge breakfast selection. The place was located in a shopping mall, parking wasn't too bad. The order taker was very nice.

Coming back home after 15 years I had to check out this spot before we left to vegas. We ordered the koa burrito that has Portuguese sausage, fried potatoes eggs and cheese. We also got the make your own moco hamburger steak eggs with fried rice. Regular pancakes and the Trio which comes with Portuguese sausage bacon and eggs and a side of snow stack pancakes. The flavors are always on point. The price is reasonable, there is a good amount of selections on their menu. The service is also so quick. Great customer service super friendly. The dine in area also has a good amount of seats and table. They did have a public restroom Which is a plus.

Had an early test at Queen's West and had to hang out til eastbound traffic dies down. We were starving so we stopped here. It's located in a small shopping center with American Savings bank, New Hope Church, L&L Drive in and other businesses. You order at the front and then sit at a table. Because it was so early, there were lots of tables open but I can imagine it can get busy. The menu had lots of choices of breakfast type items. I had the plain crepes and hubby had the corn beef hash and rice. The crepes weren't bad-not too sweet and went well with the slices of lemon squeezed on. Hubby said the corn beef hash was probably the can type but together with the rice and eggs, it was a filling breakfast. The roasted potatoes were good-they held off on the salt per our request. But don't get the coffee-it was not good at all! Very acidic.

I went here for brekkie today while waiting for my tire service to be completed at Goodyear. I ordered their corn beef hash with 2 over easy eggs and fried rice. There's an up charge for fried rice but it's worth it! I love their breakfast here!

This was a nice breakfast spot for my family and I. We happen to be in Waipahu servicing our car, so needed a quick stop that wasn't too long. We came here, and it wasn't busy at all. There was lots of seating available and it seemed clean. Had to go up to order our food before finding a table, so it was nice that we paid first, that way could dig out right after we were done eating. They gave us a number to place on the table, and once our food was ready about 10-15 mins after, they brought the food to us. Food was good. It wasn't fancy or anything, but it satisfied our hungry tummies. The kids enjoyed the food, and likes how it came with 5 sausages. My veggie omelette tasted good, it was packed with veggies, so I appreciated that. Anyway, great local place to stop at for quick food.

Food was pretty good, service was quick and establishment was clean. Prices were decent and it's a nice alternative to getting zippys for breakfast.

Again it's another place that I remember eating when I was younger and the food was just as great as I remember. The portions are always so big and filling, and I feel like it's well worth my money. The fried rice was good too, and I think made the breakfast I had just a bit better than regular white rice. Everything was well cooked and I have no complaints. I don't know if it was just an off day or maybe the time we went was earlier or later than usual but it wasn't really busy, which worked out on our favor. At this location, the church next to it was going through some sort of maintenance or construction so there was a big vehicle blocking the entrance, but it didn't deter customers from going in.

Nothing fancy, just good ole breakfast food. Came in just before 9:30a and was still able to order the breakfast special - upgraded the pancakes to banana pancakes which also came with two eggs. Ordered over easy which actually came out over easy. In addition, got a side of fried rice and coffee. Pancakes and rice came out within 10 mins. Have to say, pancake's were delicious!! Light, fluffy, hot. Went to another breakfast joint the other day and paid 3x the price for banana pancakes, what a disappointment. But Koa House pancakes are on spot!!

Great breakfast place. The fried rice is hit or miss. Sometimes it's super dry. I wish they put oyster sauce in the fried rice. Other than that it's pretty much your local Hawaii style breakfast resto.

Weekends are meant to be relaxing but life got other plans for you sometimes. Saturday breakfast/brunch was to be at Koa Pancake House in Waipahu. Walked in around 9am and it was packed. Okay, maybe takeout then Our order was taken and paid for at 9:31am. Around 10:01am I walked up to ask if our order was ready yet. Almost done, so I ordered a cup of coffee. I was sipping on water already. Finally we got our order 10 minutes later. I'm really hungry now and tables opened up so we decided to sit down and dine in. Prices are reasonable and the food is tasty. It's a solid 4 out of 5 stars because over 30 minutes wait for two breakfast orders is too long in my book. Being busy is a good thing for the business but not for the customer, in my opinion

Its basic local food breakfast place that also serves plate lunch. The price is a bit on the pricey side. Came in to order my food and waited about 25-30 mins. Its a bit of a wait. It wasn't too busy but Im not complaining about the wait at least you know its a bit freshly made. The omelette was good. Very cheesy and delicious with fried rice. I also got the corned beef hash, on the side. Crispy edges and the the ratio to potatoes and corned beef is surprisingly even. Very good! The bacon and eggs were regular nothing special about it. It also came with 3 pancakes I upgraded to whipped strawberries. It was OK. The strawberries aren't fresh. Its cooked down with sugar and cooled off. (So it seemed) Would I come back? Probably not. Was I satisfied? Definitely! Overall it did fill us up for breakfast and everything tasted O.K! Parking is shared with many other businesses in the area so pretty easy to get parking here. And the workers are very quick and they try to make sure you've made your order so thats good. Forgot to mention, I filled my cup with their Pepsi and it was SOOOO DISGUSTING! I think they needed to change the Pepsi bag in the dispenser it was grosss. Its ok I dumped it and got fruit punch instead.

Note time orders placed and paid for. Pancakes arrived within 10 minutes along with hash browns.

My personal favorite was the honey butter chicken and waffles. That chicken was so well marinated and fried to perfection. I saw a news story on the wall that the owner had worked at Roscoe's House of Chicken & Waffles. We've been to Roscoe's and this place's chicken was much better. The skin was perfectly crisp and the honey butter sauce was only slightly sweet which added a bit of flavor but did not overwhelm you with sweetness. My kids ate up the chicken meat and I was happy to enjoy the crisp chicken skin by itself. My wife also really enjoyed the waffles and found them to be quite flavorful, again preferring them over what you would get at Roscoe's. The gravy on the loco moco was fantastic and perfectly paired with the rice. My son ordered the churro waffles and was happy with his selection. For me, though, I dream of that crisp chicken skin. We only waited a couple of minutes for a table and our food came out in about 15 minutes. Every employee we interacted with from our server to the bussers were friendly and welcoming. The ribeye loco moco was the highlight (they were out of the prime rib). They give you a FULL SIZED ribeye (maybe 10oz?) instead of a small piece of steak like how they do with a hamburger patty or two, which was a pleasant surprise. I ordered mine medium, but it unfortunately came out very well done. Thankfully, the rich gravy, perfectly cooked eggs, and the $3 pork adobo fried rice upgrade more than made up for it. That fried rice alone is worth ordering. We also shared the chicken and waffles, and the fried chicken was seasoned really well with a great crunch without being overly breaded. My only "complaint" other than the steak temp was that it came with honey but no syrup. I understand the choice, but I wish they at least offered syrup on the side (granted I didn't ask for any). Our bill for the ribeye loco moco and chicken and waffles was around $55, which felt fair for Hawaii especially when you get an entire ribeye. I will definitely be back to try the prime rib loco moco!

All the portions were very generous. The only thing we didn't like was that everything was overloaded with onions. And I LOVE onions, but even I thought it was too much. The burger itself tasted good as it was cooked with bread mixed in it to make it soft but once you started eating it, the burger fell apart. The bun was thin so it was messy as the sauce and burger started falling out and you needed a lot of napkins. Some people like it messy but it's not my thing. The onions and pickles were a perfect match. Too much American cheese. ________________________________________________ The Premium Purists: 5/10 I was looking forward to trying the burger at Forty Niners and hoped it would be an old fashioned/traditional style deluxe burger. It definitely had the look and right toppings but the patty was a little disappointing. After my first two bites the patties crumbled into pieces and the texture seemed off. It was too mushy and lacked good beef flavor. After learning they mix breadcrumbs in their burger patty, I think the patties I got were not mixed well and the ratio of beef and breadcrumb was off. That is probably why the texture was off, it lacked beef flavor, and crumbled. I would honestly give it another try and go with a single patty. ________________________________________________ The stack analyst: 7/10 Tried the double cheeseburger(dirty style) at 49ers and it was delicious. The fried pickles were the highlight for me. I love fried pickles and they worked really well on the burger. They also didn't hold back on the caramelized onions, which added flavor. The burger had four slices of cheese, so it was definitely rich. The patty had a nice sear on the outside, it did fall apart though. I would've liked a little more salt, but I know that comes down to preference. Bun was nothing special, just your standard setup, but it got the job done. I'd definitely come back and order it again! ________________________________________________ Double stack daddy: 6/10 The burger had a solid foundation, but it was missing flavor and could've used more seasoning. The biggest downside was the bun--it fell apart after the first bite, making the rest of the meal messy. Not a bad burger, but it didn't stand out, and there's definitely room for improvement. ________________________________________________ Bruddah big buns: 4/10 Da patty was mushy. ________________________________________________ Captain messy hands, keeper of the drip: 8/10 I found a winner! This fresh, hand-formed double cheeseburger delivered exactly what I look for--thick, juicy patties with the drip. Every bite was messy, flavorful, and napkin-worthy. It started falling apart halfway through, but that's a compliment in my book. Nothing fancy, just an honest burger executed right. This is the kind of burger that keeps you coming back. I remember one dinner, my meal took longer than everyone else at the table and they were apologetic in that and kept checking in and made sure I felt seen. Perfect savory sear on top of the salmon, and the greens were super fresh with the strawberries and cranberries. Guaranteed I still went and bought coco puffs on the way out, though. Balance, yeah?

(There were a LOT of people waiting!) Lady calling out names as tables were ready really seemed to enjoy her job. Her intonation was pleasant to listen to, and she was easy to understand, nice and loud. Names were being called out at a good pace so tables were clearing quickly. Guess the breakfast/brunch folks were all leaving around that time. Just under 20 minutes my name was called and as soon as we entered the door from waiting on a bench outside there was a hostess ready to seat us. After seating us she asked about drinks and very quickly brought hubby's Dr. Pepper and my Coke Zero (no ice). Mine had a lemon in it, which turns out to be the signal it's a Coke Zero. Added nice flavor, too. She said our server would be right with us, and we had just enough time to scan the menu then our server Alicia came to our table. We ordered immediately and our food came in record time. Hubby's pancakes with scrambled eggs and bacon, no butter had tall fluffy pancakes, and no butter. (Some places forget, but not here.) My Salmon Benedict came with eggs poached perfectly, yolks runny, as it should be. I ordered my hash browns "crispy" and they were perfectly crisp on both sides. (Not every place crisps hash browns on both sides...) Alicia came at just the right time to check on us and ask if I wanted my soda refilled. She looked at it and asked if it was a Coke Zero, so the lemon must be the signal. She was very busy (it was bustling inside) but managed to stop by at all the right times. Friendly but no chit chat since it was super busy, very efficient, which was perfect for us. She came by just when we were done and asked if I needed a box for my food, and we asked if we could order a slice of pie to go. Hubby wanted the fresh strawberry pie which is in season. She suggested the strawberry tart, which suited him just fine. I asked if they still had fresh peach pie and she again suggested the tart. Alicia brought our 2 tarts in a paper bag and said she included forks and napkins. She had given me a paper bag for my Benedict but I wanted to help the environment and we were trying to fit it with the tarts. She was eagle eyed and called out to us that she would bring another bag. We explained we just wanted to not waste a bag and showed her the unopened one she had brought with my box. She was amazing. Looking forward to the next time we visit. Hope we get her as our server again. Got home and while the tarts are for dessert tonight, I wanted to enjoy the freshness of the tart crust so I snuck a piece. The crust was so good! And the fresh peaches were great, too. Always better than canned. The yards are really almost like a slice and a half of pie and and neater than taking home a slice, so it's a good deal. Pies are expensive because making pie crusts takes time, so getting extra crust in a tart is great. Hope our next visit goes as well as today's. Thinking of getting the chicken pot pie next time!

Not so much anymore, especially since covid. And, they only carry certain pies daily and add more selection on the weekends. Customer service was still spot on. When I approached the pie area, I was greeted by a warm and friendly gal. I was only buying 2 slices of pie - banana cream and macadamia nut cream. I was told that the macadamia nut cream pie was only made on the weekends. Ok, I asked if I can still be it by the slice on the weekend and she told me that it is only sold whole. That was a big disappointment because that was my favorite pie there but did not want to get a whole pie. They did have the banana cream and I was able to get by the slice. I ended up getting a slice of custard pie for my 2nd choice. The gal did show me the sign by the register of what pies are available for slice for that day, which wasn't a lot. Both pies tasted ok, nothing special. The banana cream had a few slices of real banana, which was nice. The pie crust was on the thick side and tasted pretty dry. It wasn't the best banana cream pie I've had .The custard pie was meh, didn't have a real good custardy taste and the crust was the same as the banana cream. Overall, the customer service was good and I probably will go elsewhere for pies.
