Surfers has been one of the OG coffee shops in Central Oahu and is a popular spot! Drinks: As of recently, I've been loving an iced dirty tiger spice chai. The chai is pretty sweet on its own so I add 2 shots of espresso to cut thru that sweetness and add a teeny bit more caffeine to the drink. They also have seasonal drinks that stay for a few months at a time. My favorite seasonal drink was in the summer -- I believe it was a haupia latte (cold foam on top was sooooo good with the coffee). Food: If I order food, it'll be the bacon burrito w/sauce. Tried the "carrot cake" from Surfers Coffee and honestly... it was more like a tiny carrot loaf (1) For the $3.75 not worth the price and hype! The portion size was super disappointing -- literally about the size of a Taco Bell hot sauce packet. It was more like a bread; but definitely not what I expected when ordering carrot cake. Missing that classic soft, rich, homemade carrot cake feel and what happened to the frosting? On the bright side, the chai latte was AMAZING (5 ) and so was the customer service! Cute coffee shop. The owner is really nice. They were out of quite a bit of food when we went so gluten free was sparse. The gluten free donut was tiny but really yummy. The coffee was really tasty and they did have bagels which my party ordered and said was good. I will be back hopefully they will have restocked. Prices are also really good. read more

We were on our way to visit Wahiawa Botanical Gardens and Dole Plantation, and we needed some coffee to perk us up. We saw this place and I am glad that we did. It's literally 5 minutes away from the botanical garden. Plus, few doors down, Sweet Treats just opened. Their lilikoi tart is so good :) This place is a perfect place to hang out, study. You just have to be careful with parking as your car can get towed if not parked appropriately. They have great apparels as well. read more

I wasn't impressed with the green tea matcha with strawberry I think it's due to the matcha having a funny taste like fishy definitely won't try that drink again. The muffin was ok but I wouldn't get again I had plenty of blueberry muffins but this one isn't hittin the way I thought it would have. The CocoMora was amazing and I wouldn't definitely come back again to try something different based off of how that particular coffee taste. I never thought about cafes in Wahiawa until stumbled across this place thanks to good old Yelp (lol). I never thought a place like this existed in this area (?) it was dim inside there but it provided a very subdued ambiance as opposed to a more brighter vibe. Everything was surf-related with lots of surfing photos, and a video of surfers being played on their tv. Definitely a surfer place lol. My Nutella Mocha was pretty standard and I sampled their Strawberry Mocha too - that one was pretty good. Overall a cool place to chill. They had free wifi and I think the only issue people may have is finding parking to go to this spot. Got lucky to find a stall but upon leaving noticed every stall was taken and more people started trickling in (lots of regulars maybe). read more

Came on a Sunday morning around 10:30am in hopes of getting some breakfast and coffee. They were fairly busy with just 1 register and a couple people in line ahead of me, my husband and I looked over the small menu. I opted for the avocado toast but was disappointed to hear they were out of avacado. My husband chose the bacon breakfast burrito with no onion but unfortunately they are pre-made so that was not an option either. The only other food items on the menu other than bakery things (which are also not made in house) was a veggie burrito, acai bowl, and mochi waffle. We passed and ordered 3 drinks. I was driving up to meet friends in Haleiwa, but it started pouring down rain...not large drops but buckets! Everyone on the H2 slowed down to 10 mph, so I pulled off into Wahiawa. Decided to stop and get coffee at Surfers. One of the best places to relax, work, or catch up with friends. Text them where I was and to meet me. I did want to get a burrito, but they were sold out. I spend hours here several times a week with my little one to get work and schoolwork done, as many others also do! There is more parking in the back and some on the street in the front. I was drawn by the need for a tasty coffee and the huge lettering "Coffee" that called out to me. Unfortunately we couldn't find street parking so we parked in the short lane around the corner with pink businesses, including Ube Love, one of my favorites. Here's the thing you need to know from the start though, the business around this area, including Walmart and Jack in the Box, will get your car towed if you park here, even if you're on there for a few minutes. Luckily my husband stayed in the car and was ready to move it, but he saw another car get towed and these gals were only in the cafe, getting their coffee, for a few minutes. Their specialty coffee drinks are awesome and they have a very cozy and spacious location but, without a reliable parking situation, it's not easy for someone like me to stop here. read more

My favorite coffee shop in Wahiawa! Parking lot located on the backside! Surfers Coffee was a favorite spot for coffee, breakfast, and studying when I was still in grad school while working in the area. This spot brews nice and strong coffees and piles tasty açaí bowls. The study area and noise level are conducive to studying. I would definitely still come here often if I worked or lived in the area. Surfers Coffee does online ordering as well. I've tried ordering online once and it wasn't a bad experience. Even better is their mission of revitalizing Wahiawa. Surfers Coffee is a nonprofit organization! It's too bad hearing people miss out on Surfers because they don't know about the rear parking lots :( How to get to the main rear parking lot, Kamehameha Highway from H-2: - Left on California Ave (just past Jack in the Box) - Left on Ohai St - First left to follow signs to parking lot. If this parking lot is full, Surfers has an overflow lot down the street, across the way. If you hit Olive Avenue, you've gone too far. What a cool coffee shop located in Wahiawa. The staff are great. Coffee is hot and fresh. I tried there breakfast burrito. I don't know why everything seems to taste better in Hawaii. Came here to get coffee and work for a little bit and it was definitely a good place for it! It can get loud though, so if you need a quiet spot, this might not be the place for you. Really was looking forward to getting some coffee here due to the high reviews and stars. Customer service and ambiance was a 5/5. The coffee however I could not justify howsoever. I ordered an Iced Coco Mora latte. I originally always order my iced lattes with an extra shot, but when I saw it added an extra $2.50 to my order I decided to skip out ($11 latte?). I regret not adding the additional shot, the drink was way too sweet and my breve over powered the espresso. I'd probably say the beans are more on the lighter roasted side! read more

I have lived in Wahiawa for a few years now. Every morning, I drive by Surfers Coffee and always think to myself, I want to check this place out. A couple of weeks ago, I finally had the chance. I was going into work a little later than usual and decided to stop for coffee. They have a parking lot in the back that is easy to get to. When I walked in, I instantly loved the vibe and look of the place. I can easily see myself coming here to drink coffee and read a book from time to time. We decided to treat ourselves for a cute cafe - made our way all the way out here from Kapolei. I ordered the Strawberry fields (strawberry matcha) and my husband got the wahiawa mocha (white mocha?). Our drinks were great flavor. We also got the burritos + salsa which came out to $8.50 each. $33 total which I was like okay that's fine...the. The burritos came out and I went to pick them up and laughed out loud. It was comical. I'm not even joking they were like 5 inches big. But plus side is there were VERY delicious. It's just - I wish they were like $5 or $6. Not almost $9. Self serve and I agree with another review on here - there's no system to the order/pick up. They should take names at least so they can just call out the name.
