    Coconut vanilla late
    Marisabel A.

It is so hard to find a good coffee shop that has natural tasting coffee with flavoring . I got the coconut vanilla late and it did not dissatisfy me ... in fact it was probably the best one iv had in a long time ! The breeze was coming through the cafe and the music was playing it was a quiet spot for a busy day and honestly made my day so much better! I absolutely will be back !

    Cheese balls $2.60 each

Da cheese balls!! It's so fresh and cheesy. THE BEST!! And off course açaí bowl is perfect too! Food, service etc... everything was more than expected.

I visited Tropical Tribe in Haleiwa and got two bowls, both with the Tropical Tribe base--one with premium toppings and one with tropical toppings. Honestly, they were nothing special, and the bowls kind of made my stomach hurt. On the bright side, the people working were super nice, and the seating area was pleasant with a decent amount of space. Unfortunately, the food just didn't live up to expectations.

Really fresh and fast made açaí bowl !!

Gosh wish I had gotten a large açaí bowl it's totally worth it! I only got a regular size :/ Shame shame only come once every few years and didn't get it :(

Brazilian cheese gluten free bread yummy and espresso coffee cheap and delicious .

Since the early 2000's, acai bowls have grown in popularity, especially since they're considered a super food filled with anti-oxidants, vitamins, minerals, fiber, protein, and healthy fats; and they're Instagrammable with their colorful fruits. They were popularized by surfers in CA and HI who sought tasty and refreshing treats after demanding and exhausting mornings of surfing. Owner Andre Alves de Moraes started Tropical Tribe with a food truck on Kapiolani Blvd. in 2012 and a year later, opened a successful brick and mortar store in Discovery Bay, Waikiki.  His authentic acai bowls and smoothies have become so popular that he has opened a 2nd location in Haleiwa at the end of June 2021, and a 3rd location in the Outrigger Hotel on Kalia Rd. in Waikiki on 9/24/21. Why are the acai bowls so popular here?  Andre is a native of Brazil and imports top grade acai berries from Brazil.  How authentic can you be!  Tropical Tribe is named after Brazilian tribes who harvest the super acai berries.  The acai bowls are made by blending acai and guarana berry juice, which is also imported from Brazil and is a more potent caffeine source than coffee.  They also partner with local farmers in using locally grown bananas, cacao, and honey. Acai juice is low in sugar, and known for its health benefits in addressing arthritis, weight loss, high cholesterol, skin appearance, erectile dysfunction, detoxification, and general health.  Gurana juice also has therapeutic benefits in reducing fatigue, boosting energy, helping with weight loss, and assisting with memory. Tropical Tribe's signature items are its acai bowls, depending on various fruits; various smoothies; hot and iced coffee; expresso; mocha; teas; and hot chocolate.  They also sell clothing (dresses, tank tops, t-shirts); porcelain mugs; and hats. We had the following: · Acai bowl.  It had guarana juice, granola, toasted almonds, honey, sliced bananas, strawberries, and blueberries. This was so delicious, refreshing, creamy, not too sweet nor too tart, and just perfect!  The acai reminded me of a pomegranate and raspberry blend.  The fresh fruits were really fresh, as there were no blemishes, and the blueberries were slightly crisp.  While I'm not really an acai bowl fan, this one particularly has made me change my mind, as I honestly really enjoyed it!  You choose your blend and various toppings, some at additional costs. · Pao queijo.  These small gluten-free cheese bread balls, made with Brazilian root (Yucca flour), are a popular snack and breakfast food in Brazil.  They were warmed when they were served, and the cheese just melts in your mouth.  Very rich in cheese, these balls had a lot of flavor and so delicious! · Freshly brewed Kona coffee. This blend had a great aroma and was deliciously mellow!  Served temperature hot, it was not bitter and was perfect! Servers Stephanie and Angelo were both so friendly and accommodating, as they explained their healthy menu offerings and provided suggestions.  As we chose to eat our items there, it was a pleasant ambiance, with both asking if everything was okay.  (Sorry to miss owner Andre who was in Brazil.) COVID requirements in place:  required masks, hand sanitizer available on the counter, social distancing. The shop interior is clean, spacious, bright, whimsical, and has a warm ambiance.  Nice, colorful wall paintings, artificial lavender plants, and a unique "LOVE" art made from magazine pages rolled into tubes.  There were three tables with four seats each, as well as benches inside and outside the shop. Hours of operation are 9a to 6p daily.  Free parking available in the back lot or in front.  Tropical Tribe is located next to Mana + Pua.  Credit cards accepted. So grateful for Tropical Tribe for introducing to us the flavorful and authentic Brazilian acai bowls and cheese bread, as we would never have known to step out of our comfort zone to try them.  We look forward to returning to try other flavors of their Brazilian acai bowls, as well as their smoothies, knowing that their menu offerings are the real thing!

Big mahalo's to Tropical tribe Haleiwa staff Angelo and Stephanie The food was great and the staff provided awesome service. They let us know that there is another store right outside of Waikiki at discovery center and a new one that will be opening on beach side Waikiki. Gluten-free cheese bread made from Brazilian root (yucca Flour) There is ample parking in the rear Will be back again

Thank you Yelp event that introduced me to this fabulous authentic Brazilian Açai Bowl that's just life changing!! It has to be the Tropical Tribe Bowl (Açai and Guaranà berry juice) with Power toppings adding Peanut Butter Paçoca. I've never had PB in an Açai bowl but it's the usual topping in Brazil is what owner Andra and taught me this is the traditional way they make it in Brazil and I absolutely love it now...speaking of love have you tried their Pão de Queijo? It's a cheese bread made with Yucca flour making it gluten free but AHAAAA the best cheesy goodness and will be totally addicted, you seriously need to try them!! Right on the counter I noticed a can of Guarana soda and asked about it...difiicult to describe I decided to give it a try, the best that I can say is it's like a refresher it's so light and refreshing and nothing that I have ever before it pairs perfectly with my bowl and duuuhhh it's part of the base lol! Yes this location is in Hale'iwa lots of parking in the back and few indoor seating is available but definitely a beautiful relaxing vibe to take a break from adulting. Must try and give this small business some love because these healthy offerings are so yummy!! Thank you!!

What a great experience! I decided to get a small tropical tribal bowl with premium topping, I also got a cold brew with Mac nut syrup yummy! As if this wasn't enough i got 3 pieces of pao de queijo. OMG! That was soooo delicious! Warm, cheesy, moist with a texture that reminded me of Mochi. It was made from cassava flour hence the texture. I'm kicking myself for not buying more! Ugh, yes it was that good! That acai bowl was perfect. Very tasty and packed with beautiful fruit that was layered and placed so perfectly. I appreciate beautiful food. Like they say you eat with your eyes first. My eyes truly appreciated every detail in my food and the shop! Atmosphere was relaxing and lots of parking in back. Highly recommend this business. Maybe I'll see you there cause I'm going back ASAP!

    Namron L.

Had the Brazilian cheese bread, which was small & not cheesey enough. Iced coffee was ok. Indoor seating.

Awesome place! Parking in the back. All the drinks and food were amazing. The staff was very friendly. The little cheese bread is out of control so good. We will be back. Aloha!

Best acai in Oahu!?…read more This might honestly be one of the best açaí bowl spots around -- and surprisingly underrated. From the first bite, it reminded me of my favorite açaí place back home, which is always a good sign. The blend was smooth, thick, and perfectly balanced -- not overly sweet, not watered down -- just that rich, refreshing açaí flavor you're hoping for. The toppings were fresh and generous, adding great texture and contrast in every bite. Service was warm and welcoming, which made the experience even better. You can tell the team cares about creating a good vibe for their customers. Now, I'll be honest -- the tables were a little sticky, and the space could use a quick wipe-down. But overall, the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. Despite some of the negative reviews floating around, the açaí itself is pretty amazing. I'd definitely come back for another bowl.

For my coffee on this afternoon, I ended up going with an iced Island Latte, which is a latte with macadamia nut and a hint of coconut. It only took a couple of minutes before my coffee was ready, and my dad and I headed back to the car to try it. My coffee tasted good as the coffee flavor itself was bold and very noticeable. I could also taste the macadamia nut, which gave the coffee a slightly nutty flavor. Last but not least was the coconut, which they said it had a hint of, and they were not wrong. Overall, it was a good coffee and it hit the spot for the afternoon pick me up I was going for. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. My coffee here was pretty good and I would totally be up for trying their Hawaiian Honey Latte, which I almost ordered today.

I remember his burger bun was purple, from the taro root ingredients. Mentally, I added it to my list, for next time. My nephew had never been to the Northshore before, and has rarely had a real vacation in his young run on the planet. His partially-genuine question was amplified by the inherent organic qualities of the lunch experience. Namely, the serene backyard surroundings of Farm to Barn's property. The picnic bench tables. His bare feet on the grass, manifesting a closer connection to the earth (which fortunately, he only mentioned once - we all know the someone who would've mentioned it 6 times, or so). My older sister added her coconut granola bowl was the best acai-adjacent bowl she's ever encountered, in the handful of years she's discovered such meals exist. And my breakfast burrito, aka my fav. food, was top 5 for sure. The yard chickens cruised us, hoping to get some scraps. But, we all made the most of our post-hike meal. One would think, photos would've been taken, during such a moment... but nope! Too busy enjoying family, and food, and the ultimate healthy Hawaii vibe, that this spot effortlessly provided. There's a ton of great food options on this stretch of the Northshore, but hard to imagine not coming here every visit, from now on.

They make them in a unique way, pressing the dough on a waffle iron so the outside comes out crispy and crunchy while the inside stays chewy. The four-pack is the way to go--plenty for one person and shareable for two, but I wouldn't try splitting it beyond that because you'll definitely want more than one for yourself. I've also tried the coxinha and the ham and cheese pastel, which were good, though not as much of a standout as the pao de queijo. Everything is served very fresh, so fresh in fact that I burned my mouth on the pastel because of the steam pocket inside, so it's worth letting things cool a little before biting in. Seating is all outdoors at picnic tables with umbrellas, and while there's usually space available, you might need to share a table if it's busy. There's no cooling, so it can get hot during the day even with the shade. Parking is on the street out front. I've never had trouble finding a spot, but pulling in and out can be tricky if there's traffic going by. Overall I'd give Crispy Grindz 4 stars. The pao de queijo alone makes it worth stopping for, while the other items I tried were good but not the best I've had. I haven't tried the bowls or other menu items, so I can't comment on those, but if you're in the area the pao de queijo is something I definitely recommend.
