Really good açaí bowls in north shore. Honestly some of the best peanut butter as well I got the surfers bowl with bee pollen because they were out of the coconut superfood topper. It was filling and I liked the amount of toppings but wish there was more açaí base for the price. Service was quick and plenty of picnic tables or you can just walk around and enjoy it!
Located right in the middle of Haleiwa town right next to Hurley and across from Kokua general store. There is parking right in front. You know you're in the right place when you see the purple stand with yellow writing. Right next to it are a lot of tables with surrounding other truck food What I like about the Açaí is the base is just açaí, water and a little fruit. Basically you're getting straight up açaí that they blend made to order. Other places use sorbet, soft serve or blend a bunch of frozen strawberries in the acai. Mostly just açaí gives its deep purple colorIt comes with bananas that is always fresh and granola that is crunchy and compliments the bowl. You can add other items - I like to add honey and my hubby likes adding blueberries, strawberries and peanut butter. They have so many add ons to choose from condensed milk, gogi berries, coconut, chia seeds and more. Crispy grinds offers bowls that offer different toppings like the Hawaiian that includes macadamia and pineapples. Honestly, I can't help myself I have to stop and get an açaí bowl here when I'm in Haleiwa.
This is the tastiest açaí bowl I've ever had! I added honey and peanut butter to mine and oh my goodness, so delicious Paired well with a beautiful & sunny day in Hawaii The texture was that of a regular açaí bowl however the taste wasn't as "earthy" as some that I have had other places. The sweetness coming through from the honey and peanut butter was perfect. Even my fiancé who isn't a big fan of these liked this bowl too Service was quick too but I saw multiple groups frequent the truck so I had to give it a go
Acai bowl was wonderful! Kind, friendly service. The Coxihna (I spelt this wrong idk) were fried chicken balls (but with a soft texture) of yumminess!
This is my favorite açaí bowl place on the north shore I will always recommend this place to whoever goes down that side for açaí bowl. They always have great customer service and the place is always so welcoming. I always stop by when I'm down that side of the island.
After a long day on the North Shore we were looking for something delicious. We were all satisfied with this food truck. I got an açai bowl. It was fresh and tasty. Outside of the base, each extra fruit or topping costs extra so my small bowl quickly became the highest priced item on the ticket. Companions ordered coxincha and said it was delicious. Those are Brazilian street food fried shredded chicken. They also got the Brazilian soda. It is a guarana dink so be prepared to be energized if you buy it:).
Fast quick service Food: Yummy limeade!!! Açaí was delicious and filling!! Coxinha were yummy - you need 2 for it to feel like a meal!!! Cool exterior (ambiance) Lots of people hanging out and lots of seats to sit

This food truck is open at the fisherman's wharf parking lot. Their 1st truck is located at sunset beach elementary school. They were on the TV channel 2 morning show letting everybody know if you stop by the food truck and mentioned channel 2 we saw them they offer 10% off. We had their spinach and feta pastel and the ground beef and the palm of hearts pastel. It's a crispy light wrap with the filling inside whether you like sweet or savory. It's was very good hot and crispy. They also have acai bowls too. The owner is husband and wife team. Husband takes the money and wife frys the food. Will be back to try the acai bowls and the sweet pastels. THIS YELP IS THE ADDRESS FOR THE HALIEWA LOCATION.
A friend of a friend had recommended the açaí bowls at Crispy Grindz to us, and while we were walking around doing some shopping in Haleiwa we figured we'd stop by to try it out! We absolutely loved the açaí bowls here - the texture of their açaí is not too icey but not too watery, almost like a froyo which is how I like it. The flavor was refreshing and full of color, and the granola and fruits were super fresh as well! There is a lot of picnic table seating outside the booth, and they make your bowls pretty quickly! I'd definitely come back here for another açaí bowl during my next trip to O'ahu.
My family and I love this little place. Their Patels are super delicious, although don't expect the pizza to be a traditional "pizza" filling. It is cheese with tomato and oregano it was still delicious, but disappointing to my kids who were expecting marinara sauce and cheese. The chicken and cheese and ham and cheese it really good! I had their banana and cinnamon which reminds me of banana lumpia. The wait times for the Patels can take a while because they fry it fresh for you but they are definitely worth the wait! The açaí bowl is not as sweet as other açaí places. I've been told it's because it's not as processed and the closest to actual açaí. The girls are super nice and the location is right on the main road of Haleiwa. Parking is limited and getting in and out of there can be a hassle.

The acai bowls and overall experience were pretty good, but in my opinion there are still better places down the road to get acai. The acai was not as sweet as I'm used to, which is a personal preference. The acai was a bit watery though so it was a bit hard to eat. However, the amount of toppings was very generous and the fruits were good. The portion didn't really seem worth it for the price though. The vibes were overall good here though, the truck is kinda like a surf truck. Like how they feature local surf news and riders. The service was also good as well, workers were very nice and we didn't have to wait too long for our acai. Not bad at all, but not the best acai in Haleiwa or on island. read more
Crispy Grindz in Haleʻiwa has quickly become a spot I recommend, mainly because of their pao de queijo. They make them in a unique way, pressing the dough on a waffle iron so the outside comes out crispy and crunchy while the inside stays chewy. The four-pack is the way to go--plenty for one person and shareable for two, but I wouldn't try splitting it beyond that because you'll definitely want more than one for yourself. I've also tried the coxinha and the ham and cheese pastel, which were good, though not as much of a standout as the pao de queijo. Everything is served very fresh, so fresh in fact that I burned my mouth on the pastel because of the steam pocket inside, so it's worth letting things cool a little before biting in. Seating is all outdoors at picnic tables with umbrellas, and while there's usually space available, you might need to share a table if it's busy. There's no cooling, so it can get hot during the day even with the shade. Parking is on the street out front. I've never had trouble finding a spot, but pulling in and out can be tricky if there's traffic going by. Overall I'd give Crispy Grindz 4 stars. The pao de queijo alone makes it worth stopping for, while the other items I tried were good but not the best I've had. I haven't tried the bowls or other menu items, so I can't comment on those, but if you're in the area the pao de queijo is something I definitely recommend. read more

This review is only for the pastel. They're delicious! At least the savory ones are. My favorite is definitely the ham and cheese. It's a huge fried wonton filled with stringy melty cheese and a slice of ham. It's the perfect snack/food for the beach. It's pretty much all I get here. I've tried the sweet pastel with strawberries and Nutella but was not a fan. If you want a delicious cheesy snack definitely stop by! It's near Spaghettini in Haleiwa, you can't miss it it's a purple truck! read more

5 Stars for the pastel. The carne pastel in particular- although I also really liked the palmito. I liked that the pastel was big like the ones in Brazil. I was just excited to have a place that had pastel and guaraná so close to me. The coxinha was not memorable- but the pastel was so good it made up for it. Definitely recommend. If anyone out there hasn't tried past yet - do it! The açaí is solid too. Probably the best açaí option around imo. So many other açaí places have so many fillers, but this is the real deal. read more

A purple food truck on the side of the rode with a Brazilian flag. I had driven past multiple times but didn't think anything of it until a coworker recommended I try. I tried the coxinha and a small açaí bowl without any additional toppings. They flash fry the coxinha in avocado oil, resulting in a crispy but light pastry. There was plenty of chicken and the cheese wasn't overwhelming. The fried dough had a warm, fluffy consistency. It was really, really good. Perfect before a hike. I recommend at least two to feel full. The açaí bowl was also really good. Their granola was super crispy also, like there was some puffed rice in it. They gave a good portion of banana and the açaí itself was good (may have been sweetened, but not overly so). If you're going through the north shore, this place is definitely worth the stop. This will be one of my go-to places whenever I'm taking a trip there. read more

Acai: The thing I love about their Acai bowl is that it is made out of pure acai with no added juice or other fruits which most of the acai stand in oahu do to make their acai base. The only downside is that you have to pay extra for other toppings. But if you prefer pure and natural açaí, this is my go to. Service: Was extremely fast, so if you're also in a come and go situation then this is perfect. read more
I wanted to try a new açaí place and I decided why not here? I pass it all the time, might as well. While it was fine, I don't think I'll come here again. I don't want just fine, I want "omg this is so good, I cannot wait to dream about it tonight." $10.00 for a small bowl that only comes with very little banana and granola just isn't worth it, especially when there are so many other options around. It's $1.00 for any additional toppings. The flavors were good and it came out fast! There was no line and parking available right out front. I did come on a Thursday morning so not crowded. I'm glad I tried something new but onto the next! read more
On a relaxing Sunday, we decided to eat our way through Haleiwa. Crispy Grindz caught our attention with the promise of Brazilian fried street food. We tried the Chicken Coxinha--a soft dough, stuffed with shredded chicken and cheese, rolled in panko and deep fried. It sounds and looks great, shaped to look like a chicken drumstick. Texture wise, the dough had a sticky, gummy quality after it was fried, though I did like the panko breading. The filling was dry, more shredded chicken than cheese, and lacked seasoning. There are picnic benches to sit on in front of the truck and an Acai bowl if your looking for something fruity. If we ever venture back, I'd try the pastels instead. read more

This isn't your mainland açaí bowl! I've tried almost every açaí place on the island and this is my absolute favorite. Crispy Grindz does not add extra fruit, apple juice, or milk to their bowls - just pure açaí and that truly makes all the difference. If you're making a trip to the north shore do not miss this spot! read more
