    The Kahlúa pork sliders
    Bryan J.

The food here was absolutely DELICIOUS I got the Kahlúa pork slider, I added BBQ sauce as my topping... WOW, those are some of the best sliders I've ever had, the pork was delicious, the rolls they were on were soft and sweet and absorbed all the fat and juices of the pork and overall it was a stellar meal! We got there early and were first in line so there was plenty of seating and parking and with the lovely tree cover and hilarious chickens running around it was a lovely meal after visiting the temple. Everyone in the truck was nice and friendly and we'd 100% come again!

This food truck used to be Okina Cafe, but they are now revamping their entire menu. Since the boyfriend can't eat shrimp, he got a burger here while I had Giovanni's. The line here was even longer than Giovanni's, which says a lot too. He ordered the Bucket-A-Bacon Burger ($15), which was stuffed with bacon, cheese, and meat --no vegetable fillers just the way he likes it. I tried a bit and it was meaty and filling. For the meatlovers, this is a solid choice. It doesn't come with anything else though, but tasty.

This food truck is the best. It hit the spot and was exactly what I was looking for after the shark snorkel we did. I don't do shrimp and I think the shrimp trunk is overrated lol I joked with the guy here about it too! I really wanted a rice dish so I went with the Ono (one ? I like ono better) plate lunch and went with the recommendation of the garlic steak. I got the Thai tea, and 2 lemonades for my companions. In total with tip was 33$ - support local! The Thai tea was really good - I am a Thai food snob and this was top tier man! Let's get to the actual meal. The meal itself was much bigger than I was expecting and that's awesome. More bang for your buck. The salad was good and fresh and the vinaigrette was well balanced. The rice was a bit dry for me but ok, but the steak was perfect. It could have been a bit more medium but it was VERY tender and juicy and had the right amount of garlic. I don't always eat all of my meal but I finished ALL of the steak it was that good! Compliments to the chef lol Def show them some love and try their food - shrimp is so yesterday

Grew tired of garlic shrimp and wanted to try something new. Great service. Giant burgers! Tender tasty garlic butter steak. I had medium well and it was tender and juicy. Passion fruit lemonade was okay. I like it more tart. It was smooth and sweet.

The line was not that long compared to Giovanni's but it definitely moved slower. Service was mediocre. The guy grilling was complaining about not having his music to listen to. While the cashier was friendly, the girl giving out the food at the pickup window was grumpy. Food Steak and rice - steak was grilled and seasoned well. Best dish there. Kahlua pork sliders - pork was on the sweet side. They used Hawaiian rolls for the buns Steak and pork tacos - not street tacos like I pictured. They used regular soft tortilla (like Mission tortillas). Steak was good, same steak in the steak and rice dish. And pork on the sweet side. I might give it a higher rating it had higher value for the price.

    Chicken quesadilla, $12, nothing special

This place is in the turnaround where there is about 10 food trucks. The line was pretty long compared to others so we thought that they must be the best. The wait was around 45 minutes to get your food. We ordered a chicken quesadilla which was $12. To me it just tasted like rotisserie chicken and cheese. My daughter said Taco Bell was better. So I would skip this truck.

    Ahi Tuna Poke Plate Lunch

Spent a few hours in North Shore shark diving, and stopped at a food truck area to see what they had. The parking lot was full, so you know there must have been some good choices! I parked down the street a little at the visitor center for a $10 fee. You can come and go. My stop was at Chill Grill. There were a few options to choose from on the menu, and I landed on the Ahi Tuna Poke Plate Lunch. A generous portion of tuna bursting with flavor, two scoops of white rice, and a small garden salad with choice of three dressings. I actually did not get my dressing, although I was almost done before I realized it. For a drink I had the passion fruit lemonade. It was a great balance the two flavors. One of my group had the butter garlic steak plate lunch. I was able to try some. There was a lot of fat and gristle in the meat, but was otherwise tender. There also was not all that much flavor.

Stopped by this section of food trucks at the north shore and decided on the chill grill becthey had a vegetarian option. I had the plane Jane quesadilla with a side salad. It was okay. My friend had a cheeseburger and he is very picky, but said it was a good burger. My other friend had chicken street tacos, but being from the southwest, I have never seen such large street tacos....they use a medium size flour tortilla and add chunks of chicken, lettuce and tomato. Honestly there are lots of food options in this area, so not sure the food will call me back. I have to give kudos to Sky, she was super sweet and wanted to ensure we were all completely happy. She is definitely an asset to this business! If you decided to stop in, ask for Sky! You too will see how helpful she is :-)

Kalua Pork (Ono Plate Lunch) & Haleiwa Fruit Smoothie

I was a little disappointed ordering from this place because originally I wanted to get the Ahi Tuna Poke Plate but they ran out of fish. So the next thing I wanted was the Garlic Butter Steak Plate but they ran out of steak. My third option was the Kalua Pork Plate and it was flavorful considering Kalua Pork is oftentimes bland but nothing to really cry home about.

    Andrew F.

Their Kalua pork plate was really good! I'm a bit surprised at their average ratings since the pork was very flavorful. I suggest you give it a shot if you're not craving the other food trucks in that area, you won't be disappointed

It's good but not worth the price. Definitely a place for tourists cause, hey you're on vacation what a couple bucks more. Theyre fast which is good and have a variety of items on the menu. Good for before the beach so you don't get too full! There is a fee for parking $2.

Chicken sliders ? More like chopped chicken thrown under bread.

Went to the north shore with the family for lunch. Everyone was next door at another truck except me due to allergies. I saw this truck with a man grilling fresh food outside so it looked good. Had a few customers here and there. I ordered the chicken sliders( can't go wrong with someone actively barbecuing chicken ?) wrong! When I stepped up to order I noticed the flies in the truck: given it's an island sure but I should have stuck with my gut and cancelled the order. Also took way to long of a wait for what I got. Any case my gut was right in this case wrong because that night I was the only one throwing up, coming out both ways. Not a fun way to end a vacation. Someone whose worked in food service for many years, can't help the flies it comes with territory however cover the food with the proper lids in the truck. The flow of service was not that heavy where you can't lift up the lid to service some toppings. Defiantly not the first time to the island however first time to get food poisoning. Ended up at urgent care the next day.

    Ono steak
    Kevin D.

Right next to Giovanis. I think they're all overpriced in the tourist trap area. For a dollar more than Giovanis shrimp, you can order the steak with salad and rice here. The rice is a little undercooked, so it's not great. However the steak is marinated well and is quite tender. It's debatable if it's worth the money, but between shrimp and steak, I prefer this over Giovanni's.

Rude and slow service, couldn't even try the food. Food looked good but didn't deserve our business after the poor service.

Wait for steak tacos was long. People behind me got their meals before me. Steak tacos were bland and underwhelming and rice was too dry.

We stopped in for happy hour on our first visit, and it did not disappoint. As Southern California residents, we're a little picky about our Mexican food, but the chips and salsa were excellent. We enjoyed it so much that we made a second trip to the North Shore and stoped in again for lunch. The experience was just as good the second time around. The grilled fish tacos were good, the service was friendly, and those chips and salsa were just as delicious as we remembered. If you're looking for a laid-back, local spot with great Mexican food on the North Shore, Jorge's is definitely worth a visit!

I was not at all impressed. The server was friendly but seemed to be distracted and fidgety. The decor was confusing - this is a Mexican restaurant but also has surfer vibes? Now for the food. My boyfriend was not impressed as the carnitas did not have any flavor. We also ordered the birria tacos which wasn't too bad. Needless to say, there are probably better Mexican places to try on the North Shore.

Flavor was solid, portion was generous, and the food itself is the main reason I keep coming back. The ambiance is chill and local. Most of the afternoon crowd seemed to know each other, which gives the place a comfortable neighborhood feel. That said, the inside is a little dingy and could probably use a renovation. The issue on this visit was the service. When we got there, it was pretty empty, maybe 4 or 5 people sitting at the bar. The guy working behind the bar seated us, but then never brought menus, never brought water, and never came back to take our order. When my friend tried waving him down, he ignored us. Eventually another employee came in, and the bartender just told him, "Go take his order," without acknowledging us at all. I don't know if he was only working the bar that day, but he could have at least brought water, menus, or simply said someone would be right with us. Instead, the whole interaction came across as dismissive and unnecessary. Food was very good as always, but service matters too. Based on this visit, I'd call it 3 stars overall.
