Friday night stop at the food trucks across Ward Center near Ala Moana. We got a steak sandwich and fries, and the sandwich was so ono! The menu is simply steak but a variety of selections. Service was great with an added little touch of the thank you card. There are lots of outdoor seating and if you go right work or before the sun sets it's really nice and not so crowded. Steakhouse quality, food truck price. I had the steak plate and if there was an onion volcano and shrimps tossed on your plate, you'd pay 5x more and still not get better steak. The meat was tender, juicy, with the right bounce in the chew. Seasoning is familiar with a little extra something. The steak could stand on its own but with the sauce it's alchemy. It's familiar and seemingly simple, until you realize you can't make it as good, or consistently find something as good elsewhere and certainly not for less. The steak is so tender and it comes with salad and rice. The grilled onions gives it added flavor. I couldn't leave without trying their bulgogi sandwich. The bulgogi was sweet and savory. We were headed to ohana market place and was planning on finding something to eat inside the market place but saw this steak food truck parked on Ward Ave. They don't only serve steaks, but other entree' as well, including breakfasts and bentos. They offer various ounces of steak sizes with 4 different steak sauces. What I didn't know what that each plate comes with Mac and toes salad. Had I known that I wouldn't have requested for Mac salad, therefore I got 2 scoops of Mac salad. The Mac salad - Little undercooked, but ok. The steak - it is seasoned with some seasoning and tasted of garlic. It was cut in little bigger than chunk bite sizes. My steak was a little chewy. I love steaks that is tender. This one wasn't. The steak sauces came in little container. They offer Thai peanut, Teri miso, Japanese, or sweet chili sauce. I chose the Japanese sauce and it was alright. I also selected the 7oz steak which was more than enough for me. They do sell beverages here, but I would suggest you bringing your own. 1.75 for a can of Pepsi and 3.00 for Arizona drinks! Quick review: I was looking to get something to eat on my first night in town and noticed this truck had a long line compared to the other vendors on the lined street. Signature Steak Plate - it's literally steak with rice and a sad veggie side. Not a bad meal but not worth waiting almost an hour (line and after ordering). Steak was good for the most part but had a couple chewy pieces. Sauces were good. I preferred the garlic soy. Waiting in long lines for food I always fear the food won't be as good as the line might indicate and unfortunately that was the case here. Great lunch truck that offers a full menu of local kine grindz. This lunch truck is women owned. I love when they are by The Queen's Medical center perfect place to grab lunch. I like to order their chicken quesadillas. They give you a large portion and it's $9.50. It comes with a small container of sour cream, and salsa. The chicken is very tasty. If you like sour cream I would ask for extra. There are some other menu items I would like to try such as their fried tofu, and tuna melt. There is usually 2 girls working. One taking orders, and one cooking, so wait times can be a while. They supply napkins, utensils upon request. They also offer drinks such as soft drinks and sodas. Maybe 4 visits later, the woman taking my order asked if I was missing fries from a previous visit and I said yes lol. Food truck is located behind Queens Medical Center POB III in parking lot facing Lauhala St. They are behind Koi food truck. When I got there at 11:15 am, there were few people waiting. Regular and special menu were posted on food truck. Female employee recommended garlic chicken. My order was barbecue chicken and garlic chicken with tossed salad. Barbecue chicken tasted dry so mom had to simmer in pan. Garlic chicken tasted dry and didn't have much garlic flavor because it had batter and garlic sauce was drizzled on top. My husband and I recently went to 'What the Truck' at Waikele and found ourselves amongst the growing line of fellow meat lovers. Being first timers and not seeing any reviews, I figured I wanted to build my own my opinion. So we get to order..hubby-original steak, me-steak with mushrooms and onions...both with all tossed salad and cooked to order. We went to our car to eat and was not disappointed. The steak was cooked to perfection. The pieces were precisely cut to match the bite of salad. They even provided a little container of au jus so there was no need for salad dressing (which is just how I like it). There was enough for me to split it in half to take a portion to work for lunch the next day, my husband finished his plate since he totally enjoyed it. I had to follow them on IG so I know where they would be next to indulge on their steak salad again. Looking at their previous posts I definitely want to try other menu items but the steak with mushrooms and onions will be my forever go to. I was super hungry after a dawn patrol surf session. On my way home I passed by the lunch truck and I immediately had to turn around to go and sample their food. They had sisig tacos on special and me being Filipino and also loving tacos. Why not right. I went ahead and ordered the sisig tacos. Been here twice since it opened a few weeks ago. First time I had the 14oz steak which was already cut up and very tender. Today i just had the steak and BBQ chicken combo. The BBQ chicken was one of the best I had and just what I look for....charred from the fire. Its not like the ones u get at L&L where its pan fried. I also loved how they put the meat over the rice instead of scoops on the side so that the juices and flavor gets soaked jnto it. They are expanding the menu so keep an eye out. Found this truck around the flea market. I was expecting big things from this spot. Basically it was just steak, fried onions, rice and some veggies. Nothing about the steak is special. This is the typical steak you could buy at any costco and cut up+ fry. Prices for a plate of food was outrageous and it took a long ass time to get our food. We'll this "cheesesteak" apparently doesn't have any cheese and while it's bland and tasteless it taste nothing like bulgogi. I dont eat meat so l usually get the special,miso salmon or the garlic shrimp when ever they come to Queens Hospital. I tried the salmon and l was a bit disappointed, the fish was raw and pink in the middle. The next time around l tried the garlic shrimp and same thing. I was basically eating raw shrimp. Went to this food truck at the Waikele Food Trucks today and let me say that my family and I will never come back here. We ordered 2 steak and chicken plates which came out to $35. First, we waited over 30 minutes for the plates. Not sure why it took so long to get my order but whatever. Second, the amount of steak and chicken that was in the plate was absolutely ridiculous. One of the plates probably had about 10 cubes of steak and it was tough. I honestly would not be surprised if they bought the cheapest steak possible. The sauce that came in the plate taste like it's something straight out of the bottle. Unless you want to overpay for mediocre steak and a long wait time, stay away. For the price and how long the wait is, you're better off buying your own steak and cooking your own. read more

I must say it is mediocre food 80% of my steak was Gristle and flavorless the chicken was dry and lacked seasoning it just lacked flavor all around the cook should not serve steak with rubbery Gristle I did not get my money's worth won't go back there again but I think they can do better. We had the best day today thanks to having Steak Farm being right outside our building! News spread fast that a food truck was outside and there was line to order and to pick up. I ordered the bulgogi cheesesteak (plain cause I'm a super picky eater) and it was amazing!!!!! The bulgogi had a sweeter flavor to it but I know that the normal sandwich was supposed to have an aioli on it that was probably able to add that kick to it. But it was perfect for me! The sandwich was served with wedge fries (I chose Parmesan on it) and honestly I'm not a wedge fries person, but really how can you go wrong with fried carbs topped with cheese??? They make it fresh so there is a wait, but well worth it! If you're in a rush, probably best to phone order. All of my coworkers loved what they ordered as well. I think they are on the right track BUT they use too much sauce. Use half the orange mayo based sauce and add some lettuce or some fresh veggies. Tomato or fresh jalapeño. The whole plate is covered with that orange sauce-I guess one could ask for less sauce but you won't know until it's too late read more

I'm a big supporter of local small businesses. I believe in supporting local ranchers, farmers, fishermen and journeymen. So after shopping at the Kaka'ako Farmer's Market, I stopped by this truck to try something new and local. I have to say that although I really wanted to like Steak Farm, it left me very underwhelmed and frankly a bit disappointed. The guy that helped me was pretty rude, abrupt and really lacked basic customer service skills. Nobody else was there so it wasn't as if he was overwhelmed at all. After taking my order he turned around to cook it. Later a girl came to "help" and as she handed me my bag with a "here's your food" (not a thanks) she said, "I put in a chili sauce, unless you wanted something else, I just guessed." -with still nobody else there getting food, is it too much to just ask? The food (loco Moco, steak and eggs, and short stack) was just, ok, nothing especially great. So if I have a choice to order from Steak Farm with underwhelming customer service and merely ok food versus another place with the same level of food and better service, I'll go to the other place. There's a lot of local business to choose from and I think I'll support one that sees business/customers as an assets and not a nuisance. read more
