I've never had a Philly Cheesesteak in my life but after trying this one... I don't wanna try any other. It's creamy, tasty and the bread is always fresh. My boyfriend and I love these guys so much, we go at least once every two weeks. The service is nothing special, the window is pretty small and the workers don't watch it so sometimes we're standing there waiting for 2 minutes. I don't need to say much. I'm from philly and the guy who owns the truck is from philly too and he truly brought home with him in that truck. As soon as I bit into my cheesesteak I felt right at home. He even had the type of Chinese from home that I adore but I didn't want to be to greedy lol. Either way this is the only true place on the island to get a cheesesteak and trust me I've checked every place that has them in the menu cause I was that desperate. They have a friendly staff and the food was great! My boys wanted chicken so we ordered the wings and an order of popcorn chicken. I figured would be just frozen popcorn chicken, but I think they make it fresh. Same thing with their tenders as I had ordered those about a month ago and they were freshly battered and made. I was very surprised to see Cambodian food in Hawaii. While waiting in line for Giovanni's, I spotted this truck across the way. I walked over and was surprised to see a lovely Cambodian couple from Philly. We chatted for over thirty minutes about how they got there and I ordered some nice home cooked Cambodian/Chinese food to take back to my hotel. The cambodian food was spot on (the curry and beef sticks). I actually came back the next day because I was craving a philly cheesesteak. Not going to lie...this tasted SUPER authentic to what I had back in Philly (without the cheez whiz). I went back A THIRD time for a philly cheesesteak before leaving. I moved to North Shore Hawaii from Southeast Pennsylvania about two years ago and this is one thing that I missed. A neighbor told me about this place and I searched it out and I was not disappointed. Jay, the owner lived in Philadelphia for over 25 years and he serves up the real deal. I absolutely did not expect to find Cambodian food on my week-long trip to Oahu but was happily surprised!! I ordered the beef sticks with fried rice and the beef tasted just like the one my Cambodian mom makes at home! I chatted with the owners and had not read or seen anything about them before and so it was a pleasant surprise to find out the couple was from Philadelphia, which is where I grew up. Wasn't expecting much. Rare occasion I didn't Yelp beforehand. The Cheesesteak appearance made me hesitate - assuming the bread would be tough and old. Ohhhh nooo. On an impromptu trip to the North Shore, we decided to stop off at this area to check out all the different food trucks. My original stop was for the coffee truck, but the rest of the family was a tad bit hungry. We walked a few steps and came across the Kampuchea Kitchen. I did not know that this truck was called that because the Green Pass on this truck does not have the same name. I am leaving this review here based on the pics that other Yelpers have posted matches up with where we ordered. The menu is posted, complete with pictures. The prices were displayed for all the menu items. My daughter was drawn to the Fish 'n Chips. Another family member wanted the cheese fries. The cashier/cook was very friendly and made sure to read back my order. This is a cash only truck, so make sure you have some. While we waited, there was an adorable cat. It looks like there are some cats & chickens that roam the area. I thought it was cool. You might not. So, if this is an issue, don't come here. The wait for the food was a little long (15 minutes), but there were other orders before us. We had the cat to entertain us. After using a good amount of anti-bacterial gel, the girls dug into their food. The portion size of the fish was HUGE! There were like 4 filets in this plate. I'm not kidding. We had enough to feed a couple of cats by the truck & some over at the FHB ATM down the road. The cheesy fries were good, everything you would expect for cheesy fries. So for portions and taste, definitely someplace to stop off to get food before continuing your journey to the North Shore! read more

This place has no sign and is next to Thong's Thai. The couple are Cambodian and they moved to Oahu from Philly several years ago. This is why so many say good things about their cheese steak sandwiches. I went for the tofu curry and my wife and kids had the beef with mushroom. Both dishes were outstanding! I have to say that since most Asian food in Hawaii is a concoction of a blend of cultures this place has authentic tasting southeast Asian dishes. Highly recommended! You won't be disappointed. I came from Southern California where Thai food was ubiquitous. However, the chicken curry and shrimp curry I had at this unnoticeable food truck are so fresh and yummy that they are better than the curry I had at much pricier formal Thai restaurants! And their prices are cheaper than some neighboring food trucks. The 2 curry dishes were only $17 in total. The server told me they source their shrimp from local shrimp farms. This is probably my favorite food truck/restaurant on Oahu. This hidden jewel is to the right of the tourist spot Giovanni's shrimp truck. They have a wide range of selections from Philly cheese steak sandwich to walnut shrimp and curry chicken. All dishes are prepared with quality ingredients and very are delicious.
