Relatively decent spot. There are a lot better in the area coming from someone who is a Vietnamese food fanatic. The pho is ok, not very flavorful broth or the freshest noodles. It's a bit too soft for me. The vermicelli is really good as well as the nem rolls. I like how they put the spring roll wrappers inside and makes it crispy! The strawberry smoothie is also really good!
I could've sworn I reviewed Pho Que Huong before, but guess not. This is my favorite pho shop on-island thus far. This place is constantly busy, and for good reason. The food is unbelievable! Sometimes there's a line out the door, but the team is efficient--so always wait! This location is in Chinatown on Maunakea. If you're lucky, you can snag a metered parking spot nearby. Pho Que Huong is super clean, and I love how they decorate for holidays. Family-owned, this local business is very welcoming. Plenty of tables. Clean restrooms for paying customers. The food and drink are made with utmost care. The produce is always fresh and clean. The pho broth is unmatched. Not too sweet, lovely and aromatic. Portions are generous for the price point. Vietnamese coffee is a must! Strong and sweet--yum! The spring rolls even taste "healthy" here in that they're not too oily, and made with fresh ingredients. The customer service is always on-point, whether eating in or taking out. Note: They do not offer XL size for takeout. I think it's sweet they don't advertise otherwise, since they don't have the proper containers for that amount of food. Be sure to check out this authentic Vietnamese spot!

Fire spot for pho! Definitely go here to get your fix. Quick service and pho is a good portion. This is a medium and small if I recall. Lots of seating. Parking is street and paid lots (:
I asked my coworker who's a Vietnamese chef, that when she's tired of cooking all day, but wants to eat good Vietnamese food, where would she go? And her answer was this place and it did not disappoint! Located where the old Rice Paper and Pho My Lan used to be in Chinatown. Dining tables and chairs that can be combined for bigger or smaller parties alike. Note that it may be a little tight in some aisle ways, when maneuvering through. The service here is quick and efficient. And even though they can get really busy at times, they're still cranking out the food and beverages in a timely manner. As for the food, it's definitely comforting and delicious. The different pho broths (chicken, beef, etc) are all just right, not too oily, not too salty. I didn't even have to add in any condiments to enhance the flavor. The Banh Xeo is a huge portion, that can be shared amongst a party of 2-4. Street parking is located right out front, there's also a parking structure out back, with an entrance into the establishment directly from the parking structure. I will definitely be coming back here for more!
I haven't braved any yet, but you know this is a legit place if it has goat dishes on the menu. We've tried many different dishes and each one has been delicious! The ingredients are so fresh, especially the veggies. The rare beef salad and steamed duck salads were yummy. I've never had steamed duck before, and the meat was very tender and not as oily as the roasted style. Their pho is top notch, as well as the dry noodle fried with sauce meats served with broth on the side. The banh xeo (rice crepe) was immense, must have been about 1.5 ft in diameter! It was so huge it was served on a platter, along with lettuce and veggies. It was also nice and crispy on the edges, filled with the usual pork and bean sprouts. So far this place ranks in my top 2 Vietnamese restaurants that I've tried on Oahu. I'll definitely be back to try more of their dishes, of which there are a huge selection, and maybe even one with goat soon!
I think I messed up. I really wanted pho, but I didn't explore the menu pasted the first couple of pages. I wanted the spicy beef soup but I didn't care for what else was in it. So my dumb safe self ordered the won ton min. Asked if it could be spicy and the man said yes, but it came out regular. Ok, then my dumb self realized why one of my friends put siracha in his pho. And that's what I did and it was perfect! However, I should've looked through the menu more because the other customers coming in were ordering pho and I feel like I really missed out. Service was cordial but not overly friendly. I will have to come back and try the pho next time.
Heavy congested self craving for comfort soup and the excellent YELP reviews brought me to Pho Que Huong. Once I entered their doors I was reminded I had already been once before, led by Terry K and in good company of a bunch of other yelpers..! Food is still consistent and of good quality. The combination pho the other day really hit the spot. Location is convenient when I am doing my shopping in Chinatown. Situated on Maunakea St, there are metered street parking spots as well as multiple lots surrounding the area. I even noticed a side door leading in from one of those municipal lots!
AMAZING Vietnamese food! I live in the Bay Area, but really this is the best viet food I've had. Pho broth was so flavorful. All the veggies were so fresh. You NEED to get the rare steak salad - very generous serving of meat along with fresh and flavorful onions and veggies. My husbands chicken vermicelli bowl was so yummy and the grilled chicken was perfectly cooked. definitely give this place a try if you're in the Honolulu area!
It's been raining so much all week wanted was a hot bowl of noodles. Cravings satisfied! My husband ordered the Bun Bo Hue and I got a large combination pho. The soup was flavorful and we loved all the extra veggies and condiments. The only feedback we had was the soup wasn't hot on the Bun Bo Hue, it was warm but my husband likes it HOT. Also the tendon and pork hock was a little tough to chew. Overall still a great experience and we enjoyed the authenticity.
I have been going to Lam's kitchen for a long time. We had planned to go there again, but then I heard they were remodeling. Phở Quê Hương was suggested since it was right next door. OK! I love Pho! Ordering was SUPER EASY - the lady came by, and I was seriously impressed that she did not write anything down. Look, we only ordered 2 pho and their chicken with fish sauce but still..... we both ordered combination pho with different choices. I ordered a large and my friend ordered the regular. The pho came really fast YAY!!!!!! The server mumbled something about brisket - which I ordered and I said YES and he passed me the bowl. I was ready to eat when my friend said, "hey, check your bowl because I ordered tripe". I looked and YEP a curly piece of tripe was staring me in the face. OK no problem. We traded bowls. We were both eating and enjoying our pho. BTW it came with lots of sprouts and basil, lemon, the usual. The pho was DELICIOUS! I was enjoying and enjoying and then.... what? Both bowls had tripe. Both bowls had various pieces of unknown meat. We couldn't tell which bowl was the large.... So, yes it was impressive that she didn't write anything down; that's because they put in anything they wanted to! What the ????? hahahahaha Was it good? YES. Was it worth the price? YES. Would be 5 stars but I need to dock one star because.... please, give us what we ordered not what you want to give us. BTW the chicken with fish sauce was really good!
Solid Vietnamese restaurant one of my Go Tos to satisfy my Pho cravings. They have Med, Large and XL sizes! They have a pretty extensive menu so theres something for everyone. Service is efficient and they have a lot of seating so you rarely need to wait and they can accommodate larger parties. Parking is meter on the street and other public parking lots throughout Chinatown. Its usually busy for lunch and dinner convenient location on Maunakea street.

There is ample seating in the store. One of my go to Pho places in downtown. They only have street parking and downtown/china town street parking is usually a hassle because it's limited. Their Pho broth is good and pork chop is good as well! Thai tea is very sweet though. After ordering, food was brought out within a couple minutes. read more

I had been looking forward to eating here for months before I finally visited. I am pleased to report tasty food, great service from friendly servers, a clean bathroom, and walls brimming with beautiful paintings with scenes of Vietnam. Upon stepping foot in Phở Quê Hương, I was transported back to Vietnam (or Orange County, California-- have your pick). Phở Quê Hương is located in Honolulu's Chinatown, so we get an interesting demographic mix of diners. (I believe I observed at least one Hoa family order in Vietnamese and then converse in a Chinese language.) I wasn't so attentive to the precise linguistic profiles of my fellow diners because of how distracted I was by the food. However, it is a salient pattern I am observing in Honolulu: seeing many non-Viet people coming to eat Viet food. I know Vietnamese cuisine has become more globally mainstream, but I suppose I am so used to existing in Vietnamese ethnic enclaves. The menu offers a great selection of Vietnamese food, including dishes I had never had before. The bún chả Đà Nẵng is not at all similar to a bún chả Hà Nội, so don't get them mixed up! Bún chả Đà Nẵng was more like a bún riêu without the riêu: a nice tomato soup with a serious umami flavor going on. (I was getting notes of cheese even, in a really good way.) My first time having a non-vegetarian bò lá lốt was here. It was tasty, although I was getting a spicy note that I wasn't sure where it was coming from. The tràng đặc biệt was delicious and familiar. I always love wrapping things (amateurishly) with rice paper. The name "Phở Quê Hương" is apt, but it isn't just phở but rather all the dishes that feel like they arrived straight from Vietnam. If you are interested in more traditional Vietnamese fare, give this place a try. read more

Super tasty food, we're introducing new people to this restaurant every other week lol! The newbie picked won tun??? And the soup was delish! Returnees tried the appetizers: the Lup cheong/egg roll, (envision a summer wrap with different ingredients), and I ordered the bbq chicken summer roll. Alas, they brought the grilled pork version instead of the chicken, and were apologetically going to take it back. (Being a nice guest, I said I'm sure it's good like everything else you serve, but if I don't like it, can I get my original order?). Of course I thought it was tasty, so of course I ate the whole thing;)! We all ordered dessert-one ordered the coconut jello jelly cup and the rest of us had to try the three bean dessert. All were refreshing, and the three bean is filling, so plan accordingly;). Not sure why they add the ice at the top, I think I would have enjoyed it more if it were topped with shaved ice instead of ice chunks. Designed to be mixed, the blend of ingredients makes a very picturesque cup (quite the beautiful floral landscape)! Love the service and food here so we'll be sure to return to try more dishes! read more

Pho Que Huang never disappoints! My 2nd visit to this Chinatown treasure in downtown Honolulu. Best pho I ever had! You can choose the size of your bowl, medium all the way to XL! You can choose from chicken, to steak, brisket, tendons or if you're vegan, opt for Tofu and Vegetable pho which my friend got. They give you a generous portion of bean sprouts, lemon, jalapeño slices, Thai basil and use hoisin sauce and Thai chili or garlic oil to spice it up a bit! I always add black pepper too for the extra kick for my sinus. The crispy spring rolls is a must. Roll it in fresh lettuce, pickled carrot and daikon and mint and dip in the Thai chili sauce! I got Freshly squeezed orange juice and for dessert, I got my yummy coconut jello molded as a rose and my friends enjoyed the tapioca and flan! All the staff is family and you know it's good when you run into die hard local support! Never disappoints if you're looking for great pho on Oahu! read more
I only came here to get some refreshing sugarcane juice to beat the Honolulu humidity... and BOY, WAS IT GOOOD! Stop by for some if you're walking around Chinatown. The nuoc mis tasted so fresh and they served it nice and cold, with Calamansi too! I highly recommend it. My friends tried the pho here and just said it was okay. Nothing crazy. read more

Came back again cause the in laws wanted some pho. They enjoyed their pho. I hardly ever crave pho so I got me some bun rieu. I'd say very solid. First impression is I could smell the crab paste. Different than what my mom makes but pretty good once I added all the different veggies they provided and a squeeze of lemon. I eat mine with some nuoc mam and it hit the spot. My only complaint is the huyet. It had a weird texture this time like more grainy. Not sure what that means but I decided to not eat that. The fish sauce chicken wings were not bad. But not the best I've had. It had some good crunch on some pieces and flavor. The inside gets a bit more bland. Service was fine as usual. Ambiance still casual and to me the focus is on food. Yum. We've been here like 2-3 times now since we've been staying here. read more

Dangerous Raw Beef Caused Severe Food Poisoning!!!! I'm a returning customer who has ordered takeout here 5 times before. I always order the same thing which is the combination, I brought my pho home in 5 minutes and ate right away, but the raw beef leached massive amounts of blood and turned the whole broth red. I took a sip but through sway the rest instead. That turned out to be a huge mistake. By last night, I developed a severe case of acute food poisoning with violent diarrhea, nausea, and intense body aches. I have been completely bedridden and only just started to recover today. To confirm, my friend had the chicken Pho from the same order and they are completely fine. Since the only difference was the raw beef and the lukewarm broth, there is no doubt that the contamination came from their beef. Food safety is a non-negotiable standard. Serving improperly stored meat is incredibly dangerous. I am extremely disappointed as a returning customer and will NEVER order from here again. Avoid the raw beef Pho at all costs! read more

The broth for the pho was really good. They put a lot of meat in the make your own combination pho. You get a lot of bean sprouts as well. The only negative is the bean sprouts were not fresh. You get a lot of food. read more

Possibly the most authentic Vietnamese restaurant I've tried so far, in my humble opinion. Located in the heart of Chinatown and open at 8am (Vietnamese for breakfast?! Sure why not!) We decided to try this spot because they serve Banh Cuon (available weekends only) We also ordered grilled pork patty rolls, Vietnamese crepe and a Vietnamese iced coffee. Everything was perfect. I didn't expect the crepe to be as large as my head, it was served on a literal platter. Service was like almost every Vietnamese restaurant we've been to: seated immediately and served quickly. The restaurant was very spacious and clean. I was impressed that the bathrooms are pretty well-kept too. Will return soon to try the pho! read more

Great big ole banh xeo that was also nice n crispy. Lots of fresh veg. Big menu for all your viet cravings. BBH was too adventurous for my friend but I thought it was ok. We both just wish it had more meat. Also came with mam ruoc(shrimp paste) that packs a punch. Service was great, they forgot to bring our BBH, guessing because the huge Banh Xeo plate might have been blocking, but once we asked they were very apologetic and brought it out quickly. I've been to HCMC/Saigon 3 times now and think this spot is legit read more
This is one of the best phở spots on the island. They also have a wide variety of Vietnamese dishes that you wont find in other Vietnamese restaurants. Food comes out quick and the staff were attentive and caring. Prices are a little bit more expensive than other Vietnamese restaurants in Chinatown, but the taste is worth it! read more
If there's Goi vit (duck salad) on the menu then u know it must be an authentic Vietnamese restaurant. Add the grilled pork patty (nem nuong cuon) rolls to your order! Bahn mi & rice noodle dishes are also a must! Yum. read more
Stopped by again on Christmas Eve (they closed at 3pm) and ordered the same pho with steak. Delicious as usual and just hit the spot! Noticed staff were friendly and patient with other rude and insisting customers. Will be back again! read more

This restaurant is in Chinatown and most of its patrons are all Asian, thus it has a robust menu of items. The food here is really good. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want the full Vietnamese experience. read more

The pho here is alright. The broth is kinda mild, but the noodles are perfectly chewy, so points for that. The banh xeo could use some work since it gets soggy in the middle. Might just be me though since I'm spoiled by the next level Viet food in Orange County. read more
We came here on a Saturday night close to 7pm, on a whim. Basically found street parking and it was one of the first restaurants we saw. Even though we went up and down a couple of streets, we headed back to this one as it was packed so we knew it must be good. Looking around at other tables, everyone seemed very pleased with their meal and are very generous in portions. The lotus salad had just the right amount of tang and was full of lotus. I was pleasantly surprised and would definitely order it again. The vegetarian spring rolls were cooked to perfection and they gave you a generous amount of garnishes. No soggy middle! I ordered the vegetarian phõ and that also was generous in size despite my poor picture taking. I only ate half and took the rest home. The broth is very light so I did have to add some condiments that were on the table. However they are very generous with the different types of vegetables that they put in there which I was also surprised with. The Mr. had an XL combo phõ and barely finished it. It was such an abundance. I didn't eat the chicken wings since I'm pescatarian but I was told they were good. We took a decent amount of leftovers home for the kid. I would definitely come back here again but would need to share my entrée as they do give generous portions. It's no wonder there were many tables that were generational as you can easily share dishes. read more

We went this Pho place in Chinatown for a quick lunch with relatives. The crispy noodle with seafood (extra $1 vice chicken or pork) was rather delicious! It was top with flowery cut squids, medium sized shrimps, a few slices of deep fried fish cake over succulent seafood and vegetables sauce. Vermicelli pho soup was another dish that would call for more. They also serve many flavor boba drinks and freshly cut and squeezed sugarcane Service was quick & friendly. Dine-in room was a bit crowded and noise level was bearable dB level when we were there at lunch time on Friday afternoon. Price wise, I was told that it was average. Compared to California, it may be a bit above average. But the delicious taste would make it justifiable to dine in or take out. The table was promptly cleaned once the party concluded their used, and most importantly, the restrooms were clean but no seat covers were available for those clean freaks, you know who you are; bring your own seat covers (BYOSC). This is located in China town. We had a reservation and were seated right away. I thought it would be too hot to eat pho but inside the restaurant was cold, which made the restaurant food more enjoyable. The vegetarian pho was very good. Broth was delicious. I had the bahn mi and it was also very good. Everything we had did not disappoint. This is definitely a place to go back to. read more

It depends on what time you're going. There is a public parking spot nearby and there is parking in front of the restaurant. All paid parking spots and it's for an hour. It's hit or miss really.
