Got the Bun Rieu today for lunch to go. Probably the most disappointing Bun Rieu I've had. Very stingy portions with literally one piece of crab, one piece of pork sausage, one piece of blood, and one piece of very dry pork. The rest of the dish was just fried tofu and tomato.
Once again, I was craving a soupy dish after a weeklong of fried food and a full day of Hurricane Lala. When we walked in, almost everyone had an ordered a bun bo hue so naturally, I had to do the same. So freaking glad I did because it was aaaaaammazing!!! I've had a good amount of them back home in Westminster and this was hands down, one of the best ones I've had. Definitely will be adding Pho time to my rotation when come back again!!
One of my favorite places in Aiea ! Inside is nice and cozy, it is always a cool and comfortable temperature. I appreciate restaurants like these that serve hearty pho and made to order dishes. The staff is also so friendly. Go and support these family owned and operated businesses !
Been coming here for a few years, mostly for a quick lunch with co-workers. I love the lemon grass chicken banh mi with a side of broth to dip it into. The bread has a nice mouth feel to it against the softer and pickled elements in the sandwich. I also like their vermicelli dish #44. The meat is well seasoned and has a nice charred flavor. Service is quick and attentive for sit down. If you're in a rush, I would recommend calling ahead to place an order. Will be back to try more flavors from here.
Huge portions for reasonable pricing! My hubby & I love getting pho and this place did not disappoint! Portions are huge! We love all the fresh veggies. Service is quick and the owners are always so nice. When we get takeout, we always get the spring roll & bbq pork vermicelli bowls. Again, super fresh veggies, a generous portion of fish sauce (they also add chili flakes in it), and they always give 2 spring rolls & quite a bit of bbq pork. Other places only give 1 spring roll with combos. It's definitely enough for 2 meals for me! Overall, this is one of our go to places to get our pho fix!
My usual pho restaurant was sadly closed today. Based off the reviews, I decided to have lunch here with my sister. We came during lunch time 12-1ish. It was extremely busy & packed. Which usually means that the food must be very good. I was set on getting pho but because I saw a star next to bun bo hue & im such a fan, I decided to get bun Bo hue instead. The bun Bo hue broth was a mix of umami and spicy. But not too spicy. I loved how they were generous with the meat portion. I would say definitely in my top 3 of favorite bun bo hue's on the island. My sister got the combination pho and I got to taste their broth. I loved how their broth wasn't too light or too heavy. It was rich and super flavorful. Service was also really good. I'll definitely be coming back here to try more food items.
Their duck noodle is the best that I've ever had. The broth taste is very herbally and healthy, which is different than duck noodles at other places, which were mainly just soy sauce based. Their Vietnamese, coffee and bun rieu are also delicious. I came here weekly with my mom after her physical therapy session. Service is helpful and efficient. The place is always busy around lunchtime, even on weekdays. Place is usually packed but usually minimal wait to be seated; nice ambiance.
We ordered ahead. And driver today dropped off the passenger and only made one circle. Came back around and passenger was back at curb to go home. No waiting at 4:50pm. And the food was greattttt! As always. Mahalo. See you next time.
Was in the mood for some pho today so we decided to try this spot since it's on our way home. Pho Time is located in Aiea Town Square. They serve both Vietnamese & Japanese cuisine, however I think the menu was mostly Vietnamese. The dining space was a bit cramped, not ideal for large families or families with small children in strollers. Ordered pho with steak and brisket; the broth was beefy and flavorful and they gave plenty of meat. Just a heads up, they charge a 3% credit card surcharge.
It was our first time and we called an hour ahead to reserve a table for 5 at 6:30pm on a Wednesday. The service was exceptional. Staff serving and checking on you with a smile. We had some apps: fried calamari, fried oysters, spring rolls and butter ckn wings, along with some pho, vermicelli and banh mi. The pork is so tasty! The fried oysters were also very good. We will definitely be back!
I was craving pho and didn't want to drive all the way to Kapolei or Chinatown for good pho. My friends and I found this restaurant in Aiea, and at first, we were kind of skeptical as I've never really had a fantastic experience with the phos around the area. But we decided to check it out as a really good smoothie store was in the same area. It's located on the upper side closer to Moanalua Rd next to Tea Cafe in Aiea Town Square on Kauhale St. There's a big parking lot that used to be free for hours at a time. However, the entire parking lot is now managed by a parking company (can't remember the name). The first two hours are free but each hour after is about $2? We had to register our car on their app via QR code which could be difficult for the older folks to navigate through. So hopefully not registering for the two hours are okay for these folks. I got their small Eye Round Steak & Meatballs pho while my boyfriend got their large combination pho. It worked out because he gave me the tendons which I loooove. The small bowl was quite big! They gave a lot of proteins even for the two meats I got. The round eye steak was also very tender - a big plus. The flavor of the broth was soooo good. It wasn't the clear, clean ones which isn't a favorite of mine. I was quite impressed by it and couldn't stop eating it! My friend got their Bun Bo Hue, and I'm usually very suspicious on whether it'll be good or not if I've never had it previously.... But this was VERY good. There was a generous amount of protein, and the brisket was veryyy tender. Winner winner! The broth, mmmm, so good as well. Lots of umami! Overall, I would definitely come back as it's close to my relatives' home. The BBH was outstanding so that would probably be my next order!
Pho Time is pretty good for a quick lunch. Lots of meat in the combo pho and bun rieu had a strong shrimp paste scent but balanced flavors and lots of toppings. Taking a star off because we did have to sit by the door and each time it opened we were hit with a strong gust of wind.
Great place to come with the family. I highly recommend the Curry Oxtail Ramen which is probably one of the best that I have ever had! Very meaty and the portions were great. So many things to order here as we usually get appetizers to share. The service is quick and friendly as it seems like it is family operated. This a great neighborhood eatery that you can come in and enjoy yourself in a casual environment without having to pay an arm and a leg with very good portions. You will probably have leftovers for another meal. Lots of free parking and easy to find if you are ever in the Aiea area.
Pho Time is our go-to pho spot in Central Oahu when we're craving pho and don't want to drive into town. We tried the BBQ pork summer rolls. They only come with two, but they're huge. I'm usually more of a spring roll person, but these were so good and something I'd definitely order again. I had the brisket pho, and my boyfriend got the beef and flank pho. Both were delicious, and the broth was flavorful and comforting. I'm pretty particular about Thai tea, but theirs is always really good. The restaurant is small and fills up quickly. The service is always good and the food comes out fast. If you're in the Aiea area and looking for a solid pho spot, Pho Time is worth a visit! read more
This place has terrible service. I ordered a chicken salad and sandwich with soup, to go. My order took well over 20 min; as I waited there, multiple notification tones rang throughout the restaurant, it's annoying. When I placed my order, I told the woman, "no cilantro" on anything. When I received my order, the soup was missing. When the woman brought the soup, I said again, "no cilantro." She said, yes. I paid and left. When I got home, I opened the salad and noticed a pile of basil and what appeared to be cilantro. It tasted like cilantro, too. So, I went back to the restaurant to return my order, as I no longer wanted any of it. When I got there, the woman told me that isn't cilantro, it's "culantro." She said she would refund my salad, but not the sandwich and proceeded to argue with me that she was doing me a favor because the salad did not have cilantro, even though she very well knows they taste the same. In any case, I left my entire order and was only refunded for the salad. I will dispute with my cc company. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE read more

Came here a few times and have had consistently delicious pho in a relaxed atmosphere. My most recent visit was late, 30 minutes before close. There were 4 groups (2-5 people) seated and enjoying their meals. We sat at the middle table, which I normally don't like, but it was okay. There was enough room to breathe and I didn't feel claustrophobic. The service is always excellent and I didn't feel rushed even though it was near closing. This is why my daughter loves to come here. read more

Coworkers and I decided to try this place out for lunch. We ordered: - BBQ pork banh mi (one with a side order of pho-noodle and rare beef) - Pho-Noodle combo - Thai tea They said the BBQ pork banh was good! I wasn't a huge fan of mine. The meat was already mostly cooked so when I mixed it in with the broth, it ended up being well-done. The broth that my coworker got for his side order was not warm enough so it didn't cook his raw beef. He didn't end up eating it (he didn't want to ask the server about it). It was a decently busy place and there was a shared parking lot with neighboring shop and restaurants. read more
This will be my first Bun Bo Hue Challenge where I'm going to try as many as I can and compare. Here we go! The Bun Bo Hue is flavor bomb with every bite. I asked what was the little green leaves in the broth and the owner explained it was Vietnamese coriander leaves. He tells me that they use a lot of spices in the soup. They even have pineapple too. So much meat, too. It's a must try. You might be asked if you want "blood". Don't be shocked. If you say "yes", you'll get a big cube of pig's blood. It's an acquired taste for some. I grew up exposed to eating every part of the animal so I'm good with it. On to the next stop. See you soon. read more

I used to love going to Pho Time II in Niu Valley, but sadly they've closed. Stopped by the original Pho Time in Aiea and shared a banh mi & spring rolls. We were served by one guy who was friendly/efficient. The place was decently crowded for a late lunch. The spring rolls were good, but I still think they were way over priced. The lemongrass tofu was just ok? I needed more lemongrass flavor or just flavor. The pho broth that we ordered with it was good, but not my favorite. Nothing was bad at all, but nothing was great. And for the price, I'll probably keep an eye out for another spot. read more

Love the bun rieu here!! I can't speak for anything else on the menu since I only come here for a bowl of bun rieu. Which is a hearty traditional Vietnamese savory crab and pork meat soup with noodles. All the flavors are well balanced and it's a hefty bowl. It also comes with fresh veggies and they give about 2-3 good size crab meat balls. Everything tastes really good, clean, and fresh as if they take their time to cook it. It's conveniently located in Aiea so when I'm too lazy to drive into town I op for this place since it's close to my hood and parking is easy. It's a small restaurant with a few tables but a steady flow of people dining and taking out. But I do love the times it is empty. The workers are really hard working and friendly here. read more

Small hole in the wall place that serves Vietnamese and Japanese food. I'd say go there for the Vietnamese food rather than the Japanese food since the owners are Vietnamese. The pho was flavorful, the meatballs are tender but the meat was a bit tough. I added their garlic chili sauce to my pho and it gave it an extra kick. So good. I also ordered the combo banh mi but I forgot to take a picture of it. I really enjoyed their banh mi- it was soft w a slight bit of crunch to it, the flavors were good. The pate wasn't overpowering which is such a good thing. Overall, I'd recommend this place. They were quick, great place for lunch during the work week! read more

My son and I wanted to eat either ramen/japanese or vietnamese, and we decided to try this restaurant since it was 4.2 stars, great reviews and free gyoza. Pho Time is located in the middle building at Aiea Town Square, across the street, makai of gas station, where the old library was. They serve both vietnamese and some japanese dishes, so lots to choices. Overall, it's a 3.5 to me. Crab Rangoon Appetizer - 4 stars - for $11.25, the wonton was very crispy, and appetizing. However, I could only taste the cream cheese, and none of the crab, but I'd order this again. Gyoza - 4 stars - we got free gyoza since we ate here between 3p - 5p. The gyoza was crispy and better than some restaurants, but not the best. It's only one free serving of gyoza per table, not per order. Combo Pho - 3 stars - for $17.75 it was ok, but the broth didn't have much bone broth flavor, the noodles were a little hard and the meats were dry and tough. It's ok, but I don't think I'll order pho from here again. Maybe I'll give it another try and order the BBH instead since it had better reviews. BBQ pork and Spring rolls - 4 stars - for $16.75, tried a piece of my son's pork and spring rolls. It had great flavor, and he liked it. He'd order this again. Service - 3 stars - there was only one female cashiering and serving our food. She was ok but not too friendly. Also, 3% surcharge if using credit card. Lots of parking that's shared with rows of other stores and a little tight. read more

Is it the same owner as saitos in ewa beach and mililani?
