Located inside the Pearlridge mall food court! For a quick bite I was super impressed. The sandwich was sooo delicious! Very flavorful and I loved the crunchy pickled veggies inside. It even had fresh cilantro. I got the bahn mi combo 2, which includes a Vietnamese iced coffee 16 ounce for $18. I got the lemongrass sandwich which was very delicious. The guy who took my order was also very friendly. I would 100% come back for this meal.
Diem 99 Cafe is one of our favorite casual Vietnamese eateries to go to that is convenient. Their original location was in Ranch 99 (Moanalua) where Home Depot ended up taking over. Their business eventually moved to Pearlridge Mall with another smaller location near Sand Island. Today I went with lemon grass chicken with noodles (mini). It was satisfying, but honestly prefer their hot chicken pho with spring rolls. Service was mildly okay.
Another great spot in the Wai Makai food court. As a Vietnamese cuisine lover, the food has exceeded expectations. If you're not familiar with the dishes, there is a really tasty meat called Nem Nuong aka cooked pork patty. I say cooked cause the other version of it is Nem, cured pork (uncooked), which is one of Vietnam's favorite snack. After you order from the counter, they'll hand you a buzzer to let you know the food is ready. Which is helpful so you don't have to stand around. Definitely check this place out and I recommend to try the nem nuong banh mi. With the sauce and pickled veggies, you're in for a delicious bite. You can also order it as a rice/noodle dish with a side of nuoc mam aka fish sauce.
Smack dab in the middle of this little food court sat this quaint Vietnamese food stall. Service was kind and efficient and today I opted for a lemongrass chicken combo plate, which had braised chicken in lemongrass, seasoning and tasted a bit like curry paste? I don't know it was delicious. In this combo plate, comes a side of rice noodles as well as this beautiful shrimp salad and jasmine rice, oh yeah add in a spring roll too. This place gives you their delicious fish sauce dip, chili oil, sambal and the pickled daikon and carrots was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised by this combo plate at a Vietnamese shop, but I am a believer. Enough food so that you're not hungry for the day and was under 20 bucks. I will be back to try the pho for sure.
Got lunch here and it was very good! I ordered the Super Roll, which combines a spring roll and summer roll in one. Such a genius idea and I haven't seen it done anywhere else. I also tried the pork plate, which was decent but the Super Roll definitely stole the show. I'd 100% come back just for that!
What a great place to be. It's right in the food court by the theaters. The staff is always friendly and attentive. At times, this place can get a very busy with so many things going on. It's a nice comfortable environment. We ordered couple of the Combo Pho and a Summer Roll. Their broth is always consistent and very flavorful. Although the bowl might look small but the content inside is a lot. We also added tendons for a little extra cost. We always leave there full or sometimes take home leftovers. Lemon Grass Chicken is another favorite dish that I order once in awhile. It's really good.
First time trying Diem Cafe and I like the many vegetarian options. I tried the Monk dish and it came with noodles, salad and the fried tofu topping which was the best part. The sauces came in little containers which were perfect for me because I like to control the amount of salt. The place is located in the food court on the theater side of the mall

I used to always eat here for lunch when they were located in Mapunapuna in 99 Ranch. They have some of my favorite spring rolls. I tried the Super Roll today and while it was good, it was not really my favorite. This is probably some of the best Vietnamese food you will find a food court. Their pho is also pretty good.
8/12/25 Stopped here to pick up some lunch and dinner. First time here & had seen them featured on a morning talk show awhile back so wanted to give them a try. This location is located in Nehu Market food court in Pearlridge by the theater. It was just after 1PM with no line at the counter. I was greeted by a warm and friendly girl who promptly took my order and after I paid, handed me a buzzer with a number on it. I thought this was convenient since you don't have to hang out at the counter and even if you were seated, you wouldn't have to listen to them calling out your number. It took just over 5 minutes before the buzzer wet off. Their menu is extensive with pho, banh mi sandwiches, combo plates, and rice or noodles dishes. I ordered the pork patty sandwich and a Diem Mix plate1 which included BBQ chicken and pork, 1 spring roll, rice (or noodle), and mac salad. The pork patty sandwich was ok. The pork patty itself was delicious and very tasty. It was chopped into bite-sized pieces. The baguette was a little thicker than I anticipated and a lot more thicker than what's shown in the picture on the menu. There was also the usual pickled daikon, carrots, and 2 thinly sliced spears of cucumber. That was ok but I think there was too much veggies and not enough meat with too thick of a baguette. The mixed plate was ok and not anything like a local plate lunch with BBQ chicken and pork. Portion amount was good for a combo plate and the protein had a nice marinated flavor but both were dry to the taste, especially the pork. The spring roll was over cooked and the mac salad had too much mayo. I was looking forward to some yummy food considering the $20 cost of the plate, but was let down & did not fully meet my expectations. If I were to come here again, I would get the pho or salad. Overall, great customer service, food ok.

All I have to say.... The best Lemongrass chicken Bhan Mi I have ever had! A little bit pricey all around, but good food for the price, so it's cool! Fast service, lots of seating in the mall food court. Totally recommend. It actually currently one of the better food court options, in my opinion.
Got an early dinner plate lunch here and it was just as good as their old location. Looking forward to coming here again in the future! In a mall food court, it's nice to know they have some somewhat more healthy alternatives like Diem cafe!

I had to update my review with FIVE STARS! Ended up ordering the lemongrass chicken plate. The guy at the counter was confident I'd enjoy it (and won't be too spicy hot). He was sure right! I loved the overall flavor - wasn't too hot, the chicken had more texture compared to the sample I had before. Chicken moist and tender. Will definitely be ordering the lemongrass chicken plate again. Stomach so content! A good amount per price too. Guy at the counter was either the manager or owner. He came across professional, confident with a "connecting " demeanor. read more

We've been going to Diem 99 Cafe before they even moved to Pearlridge when they were located inside of Moanalua 99 (or where 99ranch used to be in Salt Lake.) We love getting our banh mi here! I always share it with my husband because I can never finish it on my own. I especially love the BBQ chicken banh mi. The employees are always friendly and we never wait too long for our food. I also recommend getting their Thai tea! They are located in the food court (downtown Pearlridge as I know it) where Consolidated Theatres are. read more

All I have to say.... The best Lemongrass chicken Bhan Mi I have ever had! A little bit pricey all around, but good food for the price, so it's cool! Snack in Aiea, O'ahu, Hawaii... In-between meals, I thought that I would be able to find something to eat at Pearlridge Center. I like to park at Longs in the covered area and catch the escalator upstairs to the "downtown" part of the mall. Catching another escalator up to the food court (Nehu Market), where the Consolidated Theater is (above Hallmark), I saw Diem 99 Cafe. That's a familiar name... they used to be at 99 Ranch in Mapunapuna! I ordered Summer Rolls from the nice young man at the counter. He gave me a buzzer that would ring when my food would be ready for pick up. I asked about the photo of the Super Rolls. He said they're a set of 16 pieces. I'll have to return and get a platter of the Super Rolls for the next potluck! Those sound and look delicious! The Rolls seem to be a combination of Summer and Spring Rolls. The summer roll is wrapped around a spring roll... Anyway, the Summer Rolls that I ordered were refreshing and just right! Both ends were "open"... not folded over... so I had to be careful to not let the contents (noodles, fresh veggies, and shrimp) squeeze out! The sauce was thick and yummy! I should return for a Bahn mi... and the platter of Super Rolls... Note: There are lots of shared tables (with charging ports) and chairs for dining-in at this food court. For Food Court food I give this 4 Stars. Running errands on a Saturday morning with a friend this was a stop requested by her as she wanted Pho for breakfast. I believe it's relatively new to this court and was actually the only business other than Cinnabon that was open for business at 10:30. The others opened shortly thereafter but since this was our destination anyway I was just thrilled not to have to venture elsewhere. I ordered the Bbq Pork Bahn Mi and a Thai Iced Tea. Never have had the Thai iced tea I asked what it was. Man told me just like the Thai iced coffee but instead was made with Thai Tea and evaporated milk. Okay since I love that coffee drink I'm up to try the tea version. Meh on that for me but that's just my taste buds... My bbq banh Mi was fabulous! I was skeptical at first thinking because we were most likely the first customers of the day we'd be getting yesterday's leftover bread but not the case. The bread was crispy crunchy on the outside and pillowy soft on the inside. The pork was tender, lightly coated in a tasty bbq flavored sauce and plentiful for this sandwich. All the veggies were nicely pickled and just enough cilantro to add freshness. I'd definitely stop in again. read more

Don't sleep on this place!! I don't normally come to Pearlridge anymore but I'll definitely come back and try more of the menu! The cashier was very friendly and pretty smile. She recommended the combo over ala cart, which was a winner in my book! Very good 10/10 highly recommend read more
Hooo use to hit up Diem 99 Cafe back in da day at 99 Ranch. Was mayjah to see that Diem is still up in running. Braddah Henry is the most polite and well spoken braddah that I met and supah nice. All the food on the menu is made to order and with only fresh local ingredients. The Bánh mì sandwich was so hammaz I had to buy two extra for a midnight snack. If you find yourself skanking at Valor and like grind, you in luck cause Diem is open bah, perfect setting to skank the night away with a Bánh mì sandwich. Diêm 99 Cafe is located in the Nehu Market of Pearlridge Center, and is the best food I've found in a food court in awhile. Pictures of the Super Roll and Oxtail Pho on Yelp is what got me me here on a rainy day while doing some holiday shopping. Starting with the Super Roll, it was a summer roll and spring roll hybrid with a vinegar dipping sauce. The perfect dish for those who can't decide between a spring roll and summer roll- a burst of freshness with that yummy fried spring roll wrapped inside. The Oxtail Pho was comfort in a bowl on a rainy day. Tender oxtail pieces that melted in the mouth with a flavorful broth- two things that can only be achieved through time simmering. The staff, quick to respond and always on their toes, ensure that every customer feels welcomed and taken care of. Despite the cafe's location in a busy mall food court, they manage to provide a service that's both swift and personal. read more
I'm a big fan of their pho and spring rolls when they first opened many moons ago at 99 Ranch in Māpunapuna. I'm elated they opened a second location at Pearlridge Wai Makai Food Court. I craved for Bun Bo Hue. Courteous young, male worker thought it's still listed under local favorites on the menu. He was very considerate and said, "I will check with the cooks in the back." He returned and informed me, "Sorry, they stopped making Bun Bo Hue at this location because not much people were buying it." I said, "Don't worry. May I please order sliced beef pho combo meal with a medium ginger ale and a side order of summer rolls?" He rung in beef pho combo meal, asked me if I want my drink now or later?" I told him, "I will take it now." Then he forgot about summer rolls so I returned to the counter and let him know. He apologized and kindly rung in the order for summer rolls. Sliced beef pho with 2 spring rolls and choice of medium fountain drink $17: Loved the homemade, clean tasting broth cooked for 24 hours. Veggies, a hybrid lemon lime, chili oil, hoisin, and hot sauce worth savoring and consuming on a cloudy, cooler Sunday. I must've counted at least fifteen lifts of each single sliced beef that appeared on my chopsticks. Very generous! One long spring roll cut into two pieces dipped in sweet chili sauce was very tasty. Ginger ale came in handy to cool down my palate. Four summer rolls $9.75 were fresh and yummy when dipped in peanut sauce. There are options on menu for vegetarian meals, banh mi plus combos, pho ala carte and combos, mini and regular size plates, and party platters. If you're in the mood for Bun Bo Hue on O'ahu, I highly recommend going to Chinatown and dine in at a four-star or five-star Vietnamese restaurant. read more

The banh mi was exquisite. $11-ish dollars and way better than Subway! SUPPORT LOCAL! Fresh hoagie roll, crisp veggies, & the chicken was well seasoned. Customer service was delightful as well. In the mall setting, you get the remodeled food court to enjoy your food. read more

Who's excited to have Diêm 99 here!! Woohoo and a happy dance as they're here in the Nehu Market a food court at Pearlridge Center as the Center has gone through many phases it's the food court that's connected to the theaters. Diêm 99 is back to it's vibrancy brand new here dishing up some freshness with a massive menu and what I really truly love is that they offer Combo, Ala Carte and Mini sizes all priced out clearly and easily understandable without asking as I just needed a bite for lunch something yummy and simple is what I was craving. I do love my Pho and have had the pleasure of slurping its deliciousness when they were at the 99 Ranch on this insanely hot day and enjoying the cool indoor mall escape let's cool off with "Lemon Grass Chicken" along with the traditional noodles and salad the mini at $8.50 was the perfect option. The portion was just the right amount with the fresh greens, noodles done just perfect and three pieces of Lemon Grass Chicken was more than enough and not sure if that considered a mini plate. The staff is just an absolute delight I was given a buzzer for my order which was done quite fast I just love the entire ambiance here for one they have outlets for you to charge your phone as mine was on it's last breath it's not as crazy though crowded I would definitely be back as it's a great place to recharge...literally! Located by movie theater *** I wish I could've taken a photo of my meal prior to devouring it. My daughter and I split the spring rolls on noodles plate. The spring rolls were delicious, the noodles were cooked perfectly, and the accompaniments were fantastic. The service was also very friendly! I'd definitely come here again. read more

Great customer service! The young man helping is very helpful and nice (always a plus when they are nice!) definitely wasn't rushed like most places. Food is definitely good, especially the spring roll with summer roll (super roll) might be a bit pricey but I think it's WORTH IT. They have pho combos that come with pho, drink and 2 pc spring rolls ($17-$20) depending on which pho soup you get. Definitely will return, especially with the great customer read more

I've been going to Diem 99 Cafe since they were at Mapunapuna. I was devastated when they had to shut down but so freakin happy that they opened up again! My absolute go to is their Bbq Pork Banh Mi and Super Rolls. The bbq pork is always tasty, crunchy pickled carrots and daikon, baguette is crisp outside and airy inside. The super rolls consist of a spring roll wrapped in a summer roll and is delicious! The workers are awesome and food is always consistent and tasty. read more
