This is one of my favorite places to eat. The servers are so nice and so fast! The food is magically comforting. I always feel so welcomed and comfortable when I go I have been a few times by myself even and they are so kind. The pho is so so so good, it's quickly becoming my favorite food, it's flavorful and the serving sizes are huge! Its clean and on the quieter side (which means the food is amazing). Been coming here for almost 30 yearyand its still excellent. Hole in the wall pho at its very best. You walk in and you smell beef broth and jasmine rice. We always order medium combo/dac biet. Plateful of sprouts, basil and half a lemon ( not a tiny useless wedge like most places). The broth is the star! The food here is always great as my go to is Lemongrass Chicken and my wife enjoys the Beef Pho. The one thing that stands out is their generosity as I feel like family when i pick up the food. If there is a slight delay, they have offered me a bottled water or even threw some special in as an appreciation for being patient. I frequent this restaurant for several reasons; first the Sour Soup, second the Vietnamese coffee, third they open at 10:00 which is when I'm hungry for breakfast/lunch aka Blunch. Located in Pearl Kai Shopping Center they've been here since the beginning of time or maybe just 30 years but as long as I remember. I'm not a Pho fan though you'll catch me in quite a few restaurants which specialize in the soup. I luv BunBo Hue but it's not offered here. I order the Seafood Sour Soup (served with fish and shrimp) years ago you'd get chunks of fresh fish, now it's previously frozen and most likely tilapia and maybe five mediumish shrimp...it's all good it's all about the flavor. It's also offered with chicken, tofu or just vegetable. It's a Tamarind flavored soup with a chunk of pineapple, fresh slices of tomato, taro stems and herbs. Comes with a side of rice but I always refuse the rice and let the soup shine on its own. If they opened at 6:00 I'd be first in line for their Vietnamese freshly brewed coffee. They bring it to you dripping into the cup with condensed milk waiting to be stirred in when the coffee is finished dripping. You can drink it hot or request a glass of ice to pour it over. I'm an iced fan because you can't drink it fast enough when it's that hot. I also like the Spring rolls, crispy traditional pork rolls (2 cut into 4 pieces) served with green leafy lettuce, rice noodles, basil, cucumbers all to messily roll up and dip in their savory sauce. If you've been here often you know that you don't wait to be seated....you be standing there forever while people stare at you. There are about eight tables for four or six people each and a communal table down the middle. When you're done you can sit and wait forever for one of the two busy servers to notice or you just get up and walk to the window in the back and ask to pay your check. It's not fine dining or fine service but I do love that soup and keep coming back. read more

Have to admit I haven't been back in quite a number of years now. When I lived in Aiea years back, this was my favorite pho spot. I've always had pho at least twice a month until present day. I have my favorites in town now but my baby girl who's now 18 remembers how much we loved the pho there back in the day. So we take the drive to our old favorite only to realize it's not nearly the same. The broth was very bland with very little depth in any flavor. 3 stars for the quick and friendly service. Some place serve it whole and some places cut in half. This place they serve it whole 4 pieces total with lettuce, basil, cucumber, and chili vinegar sauce. The seafood pho the broth was very light and had a good taste my husband said. Lots of seafood shrimp, squid, mussels and the noodles. Next time he said he'll order the tripe pho. Service is alright. We got seated right away. My bf actually likes the pho broth here. The women needs to know more about customer service because it is a big role as a waitress and serving customers . She never does smile. We've been here couple times and she never did really greeted us not once. The restaurant has a cozy vibe. I ordered the summer rolls with a large combination pho. When I say that this is the most legit pho I've ever tasted, it's true. Omgoodness, it was sooo good. There is an array of different Vietnamese dishes such as pho and different rice entrees. I love their bun bowls so me and a couple other family members got that. A nice little pho place tucked away in Aiea that deserves your business and hasn't let me down. I've ordered take-out pho from this place before, but finally had to time to sit down and enjoy. Of course, if take-out tastes good, staying in house was gonna be even better! I don't know if it's because it was the perfect cold, rainy night (aka perfect pho night) that really set the mood and influenced my taste buds, but you should know, I didn't eat pho this time so I can also speak about their Bahn mi sandwich. The reason I ordered a Bahn Mi instead of pho this time was because I already had ramen for lunch and needed something light and refreshing, which this was. The chicken was grilled but still moist and flavorful and had a nice char. The bread was crunchy with ASMR but still soft the bite. Of course, the veggies complimented the protein just right. As far as the Pho, everyone in my family ordered it to compliment the weather. From what they say, they all loved their multiple varieties of Pho from mild to spicy, to beefy, to veggie-loaded. No complaints, from any of us for the food. Ahhhhh, Cu'u Long! Always my favorite stop when I'm back home in Hawaii. I have been eating here since I was a kid and this place never disappoints! We ordered all of my favorites: a large brisket/squid & meatball pho, beef short rib rice plate, shrimp summer rolls, fried spring rolls and green papaya salad. As usual, everything was absolutely delicious! The service was excellent with both the lovely waitress and manager constantly checking on the 6 of us to ensure that we had everything we needed. This other favorite pho place in Kapolei has been inconsistent, and I'm sure town has lots of good pho, but I'm rarely there. Cuu Long definitely hits the spot with its consistent quality of pho. Broth, meats, and noodles are always on point. A couple years ago, I was beaming with joy when my husband (then fiancé) offered to get takeout from the Cuu Long in Chinatown. That's how much I love this place. I normally don't care for takeout pho, but theirs was on point, and I'm sure takeout pho from the original Cuu Long would be tasty as well! When I make the quick drive to Cuu Long, I know exactly what I want, a medium #13 (steak + fatty brisket) with steak on the side, and prompt customer service.
