While visiting from the mainland, my sister took my husband and me to Stadium Pho for lunch. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. My sister ordered the lemongrass beef. After only two bites, she realized the beef was very tough and completely lacking flavor. She politely told the waitress, who acknowledged the issue and said the dish would be taken off the bill. However, when my husband paid and we later reviewed the receipt, we discovered we had still been charged for the dish. When we brought this to the staff's attention, their response was shocking -- instead of apologizing or correcting the mistake, several staff members laughed in our faces. There was no apology, no effort to fix the bill, and no offer to remake the dish or provide an alternative. Everyone understands that mistakes can happen in restaurants. What matters is how they are handled. Unfortunately, the lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic customer service was very disappointing. Ambiance not inviting. Incredible pho spot right next to aloha stadium! Parking can be kind of a pain in there and spots are a little small but if you have the time and patience to wait, it's well worth it. My mom and I went on a weeknight before the dinner rush at 6 and so glad we did! It was still very busy but there was not a line. We took that as a good sign and I understand why! We both ordered vermicelli bowls and they don't take long at all. The staff is very efficient and fast! I got the pork bbq - LOTS of meat, tasted amazing, not overcooked at all. Dropped off my husband's car for safety check, we decided have lunch here. I love Pho and always look for good pho place and we've never been here yet. We came in just after 1:00p.m. and inside restaurant was pretty busy. We ordered Fried Spring Rolls and Pho (I chose combination pho steak on side small size and my husband's choice was Rare Steak & Beef Meatballs small size). Shortly, Fried Spring Rolls came. This is a spot I've been to before and one my family really likes whenever we're craving pho. It's always been solid in the past, and even my girlfriend's family knows about it and enjoys it, so we decided to come here for dinner. I ordered the BBQ pork vermicelli, and while I was eating it, everything tasted good. No complaints at all in terms of flavor. Love to come here on a rainy day for their oxtail soup. This time around though I decided to get a papaya salad with no peanuts due to allergies. We were greeted upon entrance, then seated promptly. While most other restaurants have already started dine-in service, I respect Stadium Pho's decision to ensure that health and safety protocols are in place, as COVID still remains in the community. Despite only offering takeout services since the onset of COVID, the restaurant has continued to be very popular with its diners, especially within the community. As much as we had wanted to order take out, we hesitated, knowing that it would lose its luster once we got home to HI Kai. So, knowing that they had just opened for dine in, we wasted no time for this opportunity. This restaurant rocks! Opened in 2015 by the Pham Family, Stadium Pho offers the typical Vietnamese fare: * Appetizers: rolls (summer, spring); salads (papaya, chicken, lemon beef); fried chicken wings. * Pho: rare steak, meat ball, brisket, tendon, chicken, tofu veggie, seafood, oxtail. * Vermicelli: BBQ pork & chicken; lemongrass chicken, beef, shrimp; combos w/ spring rolls. * Rice dishes: pork chop, BBQ pork & chicken, lemongrass chicken, short rib, shrimp, fried rice, chicken curry, beef stew. * Banh Mi: BBQ pork & chicken. * House Specials: hot sour soup w/ catfish, calamari & shrimp, simmered pork, basa, fried noodles. * Desserts: banana & taro tapioca, flan custard. * Drinks: shakes, bubble drinks, iced coffee, lemonade, calamansi, iced tea. Service is quick and efficient, and once diners leave, staff will immediately clean the tables. Staff will bring your bill, but as with other Vietnamese restaurants, it is customary to go up to the counter to pay. The small restaurant seats about 50, and its interior is very clean and is nicely decorated with Vietnamese décor. A welcoming atmosphere to dine in! Had the oxtail pho, which at ~$22 was a good deal. Usually oxtail now-a-days is at least $30 (even at Zippy's ). It was, as usual, perfect. Also had the fried spring rolls and papaya salad. Spring rolls were good and the papaya salad burns so good. lol. They were expectedly busy for a Saturday night, with no available seating when I arrived to pick up my food. But they do still make take out orders in a really fast time, so maybe better just do that? read more
