Met Yelp friends Terry K. and Peter Y. here for lunch today. Noticed it's one of the busiest vendors at Midtown Eats food hall. After you place your order your food comes out quickly. They were out of crab Rangoon for appetizers today so I chose spring rolls and fried dumplings to share, longan juice for me to try and beef boat noodle soup. I was asked wide or thin noodles. I chose wide then was told not enough so thin noodles was placed in a container for me instead of in the soup. The broth was darker than what I've had at two other places in California. Food is served in take out containers which helps if you have any left overs. I was surprised that the two other dishes that were ordered looked on the smallish side. We also had a Coke Zero and a bottled water. Typical Food court setting so many tables to choose from in the hall. It is well lit and tables are wiped down soon after a party leaves. read more

Thai food is great when done well. So how does King Thai Cuisine stack up? I have been there twice. The first time, I ordered pad gra pow. The second time, pad kee mow. Both medium heat. I have had these dishes in most of the Thai restaurants here on Oahu and in several Thai restaurants in Thailand and Las Vegas. The food at King Thai is pretty good. Not great. The medium heat is on point but the taste lacks the depth of flavor at most other Oahu restaurants. Note that I consider this fast Thai so it's not bad. Just a notch below restaurants where you sit and your order is taken at the table and served. But as my friend Ryan says, "even bad pizza is good". I have had bad Thai food. Not here, but in Las Vegas. I would eat here again. The parking at Midtown Eats is great. Lots of free parking (currently) with great access and an escalator ride to the ground floor, making it convenient. Prices at King Thai are comparable to other fast Thai places and the numerous clean dining tables make it better than most other fast Thai venues. In comparison, Thai Taste outside Kaheka Don Quijote is decent. But have you eaten at the soiled tables outside with the birds and a few other low lifes hanging around. I don't eat there. I take the food to go. And the food at Sabb Thai is excellent but the interior dining area is not as great as at Midtown Eats and street parking is extremely difficult. So King Thai wins overall based on parking, convenience and cleanliness. read more

Eggplant rice dish was decent till I had the meat part of it. That was really salty, like I tasted so much salt, and barely tasted the meat. Also had their curry tonight..which that was amazing. But yeah, I'll for sure have their curry again, but the eggplant rice dish...I'll probably not unless they'll make it with no meat...or 70% less salt read more

Decisions decisions... My first time at Midtown Eats the new food hall on Ke'eaumoku Street in The Park condominium I was told that no many of the countless eateries are open yet after their grand opening ceremony which is true but there are still so many wonderful places to choose from. After much pacing the various eateries it was King Thai Cuisine for me and seems for many others as well and placed my order for Pad see Ew which is with chow funn noodles, egg and broccoli with choice of protein which I chose tofu was yummy. As the vibe was a bit crazy as it was on this Sunday afternoon there no stress in finding seats as there's so many options both inside and outside though the wait was a bit longer as they make each item to order hot and fresh which I don't mind at all just need to plan it if you're on a time constraints. Since it was Sunday and street parking is free I decided to find street parking so that I'm able to enjoy this new experience at my leisure which I did as I'm not totally sure of the parking situation but it does get quite busy where as it's brand new place that many are excited to try which I encourage all to see this bright and new biz offering yummy Thai food all freshly made to order along with some condiments at your leisure was nice as I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch. Lunch in Honolulu, Hawaii... A new Food Hall opened up on the Ground Level of The Park (apartment building), on the corner of Liona Street and Ke'eaumoku Street. One of the vendors, King Thai Cuisine, is related to the restaurant, King of Thai Boat Noodles, down the street! How convenient! I scanned the menu and ordered Pad See Ew - it's like chow funn noodle... a bit chewy and wider than "normal" noodles. I was told that my meal will be ready in about ten minutes. Thanks! I took a walk around the outside of the building and snapped a few photos. When I returned, my package was ready to go! I sat with my friends at one of the many shared tables and enjoyed the air-conditioning and tasy meal! It was a pleasant, efficient experience! I wouldn't mind returning! read more

Second time going to Midtown Eats and this time decided to try Thai food . I ordered my food at King Thai Cuisine. I ordered their spring rolls which was nice at hot and fresh from the deep fryer although it was basically a vegi roll . Stuff with cabbage and carrots and vermicelli noodles . My main entree was Moo Yang (Thai Grilled Pork ) it was ok the grilled pork was nice and tender their special sauce was on the sweet side . Service was average so far I experienced 2 establishments in the Midtown Eats and they're all busy and need to wait for your food . Hopefully when these new businesses settle down they can find some balance on staffing and food ordering . I heard that one of the vendors ran out of food the week after grand opening Hmmm . Located it the new Midtown Eats in The Park (new condo) across Walmart on Keeaumoku. Parking is free for now in the condo complex, enter from Liona OR Rycroft, you can also exit both ways as well. The Pad See Ew with chicken is possibly the best one I've had in Hawaii. We usually order it at every Thai restaurant and I've been to like 90% of all of them here in Honolulu. I also think they might be using MSG because the kanak factor is huge, luckily I wasn't working the day I went. Will try more items and update review after I eat my way through the menu read more

I had a coupon to use at Midtown eats and decided to try the Thai food here. I ordered the Eggplant dish and the longan drink. The food came out piping hot and quick but the serving size here is very small. This dish was alright but apart from the freshness of the ingredients, nothing really stood out. The longan drink unfortunately did not taste anything like the fruit. Maybe it wasn't supposed to.. but looking back at my receipt, they didn't even bother to apply the discount to the entire order. Very stingy. Unless you're really craving Thai food, I definitely had better experiences with the other vendors at this food hall. read more

Food was absolutely a 5/5 -- everything was flavorful. ***One small suggestion: it would be great if the restaurant could offer dine-in bowls/plates instead of takeout containers for those eating there. It would make the experience feel even nicer, while also being more sustainable and reducing concerns about microplastics from hot food in disposable containers. I love Thai food this wasn't it. This may be a Hawaii thing but it's hard to find good Thai here. King of Thai is okay. The portions are small and prices for what you get didn't seem compatible. I asked for hot and got mild. I know supposedly they are protecting us but a little hot would have been great. I didn't leave there thinking It tasted great and had to come back. King Thai Cuisine is one of the restaurant inside the new food hall. It is a take out place, so you just placed your order and wait for your food. The area is a food court set up, so not much to expect, they have tables, chairs, etc. Currently, they have free parking, we do not even need to take a packing ticket to go to the food hall parking. The person who took our order did not really smile and show any emotion. I guess she must be tired. We ordered the beef Pai Thai and Hainanese chicken rice. Both dishes tasted great! Love it. The sauce for my Hainanese chicken is difference from other places but I love it. The Pai Thai is steaming hot , not too wet with the right amount of sauce and beef. Finally, since the food tastes so good, we order a shrimp Tom Yum soup too, the price for the soup is $21 which I think is a bit pricy. Overall, for the food quality and taste, I give it a 9.5 out of 10, definitely will go back. read more

I was sad that my go to Thai restaurant "Sister's Restaurant and Cafe" closed. King Thai is my new favorite. I love Pad Kee Mao and I love it more if it's spicy. First time at King's Thai, I ordered spicy and it was the best. I had to take breaks eating to tolerate the spice. The noodles had a lot of flavor and were very silky. The portions were good for two servings compared to other Thai restaurants that give you one serving of noodles for $20. Second time I ordered Pad Kee Mao, I wanted Thai hot. Unfortunately it wasn't Thai hot, just mild. I took this order to go so I didn't know that it wasn't spicy. Update: Don't order Tom Yum soup. They use an instant Tom Yum base. It was salty and oily with no hint of shrimp and fragrance of Kaffir lime leaves. read more

King Thai is one of my go-to spots in the food hall. My favorite dish there is the Kao Soi--it's so flavorful, rich, and incredibly satisfying. Definitely a must-order if you haven't tried it yet. The staff is always so friendly and great, which makes the experience even better every time I go. Service is always fast, and the staff are attentive and friendly. Plus, being in the food hall means there's plenty of space to sit and relax while you enjoy your meal. Highly recommend! read more

Ordered Pad Kra pow, flavor was good but portion size was a little small. In their photo it came with an egg, when I opened my plate I didn't have an egg so I ordered one for an additional $3. Spring rolls were not homemade and mushy inside. Service was alright. I feel like they should say that it's $3 more for the egg on the menu and that it's not included even though it's shown in the picture. read more

Just had the best lunch here and I had to write about it! I got the Pad Kra Pao and a Thai tea with oatmilk, and it was honestly amazing. The Pad Kra Pao was so flavorful and just the right amount of spicy. The fried egg on top was perfect. And the Thai tea with oatmilk? So good. Creamy and sweet and went perfectly with the food. I even had to buy a second one. It feels like they're focused on making the food taste awesome, which it totally does. If you want real, tasty Thai food that's made fresh, definitely come here. Tons of flavor and goodness. It was not at all crowded so it made for the perfect in and out before the free parking expired.

First time here on Sunday at 11 am. Ordered the Pad Thai with tofu to go. Very tasty and fresh and good portion size, highly recommend. Prices were reasonable too at $17. Friendly staff, good food, clean area with lots of free parking. Will be back! read more
