I ordered 5 items off their menu and they arranged for pick up time to be 30 minutes. Talk about fast! I got two beef brisket wonton noodle soups, a choi sum tofu noodle soup, their choi sum with oyster sauce, and the green beans with tofu. I also listed these in order of best to worst tasting, with the beans/tofu still being a satisfactory 8/10 (could be better with more sauce and if the garlic were more toasted.) The beef in the brisket soup was a bit lean (great if you're not looking for the fatty meat cuts), but I am one who loves pork belly, so just a tan bit lean. Overall, food was great and still hot by the time I got home with the take out order. Will definitely be back! I hadn't been here in three years. The first time here I did not like it at all. I decided to Uber Eat it to my job. I got the wonton noodles with brisket. I'm not sure of the price, because Uber has different pricing from the establishment. This time around I really liked it. The broth was flavored and the wontons didn't have big chunks of pork in it. It was actually minced. The brisket was tasty and tender. If you don't know what to get from here, get this. The wonton noodles with brisket. I miss being able to eat their noodles since they moved out of Pearlridge several years ago. We were in town and I was craving their skinny noodles so we stopped by for lunch on a Friday. There is a small lot of about 6 stalls on Beretania and unfortunately for us, they were all full. We drove to the back and there is a much bigger lot off of Kinau St. They have so many choices of noodles and rice dishes and I had a hard time deciding between soupy noodles or dry noodles. I went with the tossed noodles with won ton. It came out pretty quick and it was delicious! I like spicy food, so I added some of their chili oil and that made it so much better for me. My husband got the chicken with black bean tossed noodles. There were alot of chicken pieces in it along with some slivers of round onion. I didn't taste it, but he said some of the chicken pieces were hard. They left a pitcher of iced water on our table. Once our food came, they never came to check on us at all, which was fine since we didn't need anything. It would've been a different story if we needed something. We finished our lunch and went to pay at the counter. The egg tarts looked good so we got 2 of them: OMG they were so good! It wasn't the usual bready pie crust. Chef Bo and her husband, Jeffrey, started her business called Bo's Ktichen, with passion for cooking at the Ohana Hale Marketplace in Honolulu on Oct. 2018 with a tiny booth and small menu, making Cantonese =comfort food, handmade dumplings, and noodle soups. In May 2021, a 2nd location was started at Pearlridge Shopping Center, but both locations closed due to building contracts. In May 2022, Bo found a spot on So. Beretania St, which is its current location, and with time and experience, its menu was expanded. Family-owned Bo's Kitchen's popular dishes include beef chow fun, Hainanese chicken rice, dumplings, and won ton noodle soups. It makes its chicken noodle broth from scratch, and its beef brisket is braised for five hours. We've tried these and agree that Chef Bo has done her best in offering her best dishes, and many are exactly how my mother used to make her won ton dumplings and variations. Until one day, I asked Chef Bo what she recommended as another dish that I try. She mentioned dumplings with a "peanut sauce" that had a sweet peanut, satah, hoi sin sauce blend on won tons and noodles. Yes, I tried it, and nope, could not finish it. Peanut butter sauce on won tons? Nope, you can't convince me that I'm missing out on something, because I'm not. Yes, something different, but not for me. The peanut sauce is sweet, rich, and savory. We've ordered take out from Bo's many times, but it's usually been their noodles and soup dishes. After babysitting my granddaughter, we were too tired (lazy) to cook, so my daughter ordered delivery. I opted to try the Beef Brisket with rice plate, while my daughter ordered her usual noodle soup with side orders of chicken dumplings and garlic beans. The food arrived fairly quickly and it was all still hot. The flavor of the brisket was very similar to pork kau yuk, with the slight star anise flavor. It was meaty and delicious, but I wished it was a bit more saucy. The green beans were cooked perfectly and the garlic flavor was fairly mild, and not overpowering. The dumplings were most and tender inside, with a slight chew to the wrapper; very delicious. Good, tasty Chinese food at reasonable prices. read more

Our 2nd trip to Bo's kitchen Here for a quick early dinner so parking wasn't a problem! Lots of seating available too. Ordered the beef brisket with rice- really tasty and beef really tender. We loved this dish - at 1st seeing the dish served with lettuce was a bit off put but it really was a nice addition. Will order it again Fried beef noodles- good but a bit too much sauce but the large pieces of beef was tasty and tender. Servers are really nice and we enjoyed our meal. Today, 04/20/26, I wanted to eat at Bo's Kitchen. This isn't my first visit. I have been here on several occasions and I enjoy the chicken jook. I even ordered take out of a small chicken jook to bring to my hospitalized family member. For our lunch, we ordered spring rolls, black bean beef chow fun and sesame balls. The chow fun came out first. It was hot and covered with too much black bean sauce, hence it was salty. The beef was tender but the sauce over powered the dish. 3/5 stars Then came the spring rolls and the sesame balls. The sesame balls were very hot but not fresh. Maybe it was previously frozen? The dough was oddly dry and not chewy. The black bean filling was alright. 3/5 stars Now onto the terrible spring rolls! Look at the photo and you decide what I nearly bit into! Ugh. 0/5 stars. An employee in the back of the kitchen area came forward when I approached our server with the dish. The employee (not our server) attempted to persuade me that it was either a bean or a piece of chili. She even squished it between her fingers to say it was soft. Yuck! No thank you. I had already taken a picture of the spring roll and asked Google what it was. I included Google's finding. She was concerned that I had a picture of it. I even let her take a screenshot of the picture and I showed her the Google results. Still she said it wasn't a bug. I leave the decision to our readers. Pictures are worth a thousand words. Restaurant seating area ambiance is pretty clean ( I did not see the kitchen) and interestingly the restaurant has jewelry for sale. Simple tables and chairs for patrons. Service was great until the spring rolls incident. And it didn't help that the employee kept denying that it was a bug. At least the restaurant did not charge us for the spring rolls. But now, I'm not sure I'll return again. I think if the restaurant had immediately acknowledged the situation, I would've been able to maybe accept this as a one time thing. Unpretentious, bordering on "hole-in-the-wall" vibes but oh man the food is seriously DELICIOUS!! . Been three times this week and I'm still just getting started with their range of noodle and dumpling soups. Portions are generous, and every dish is hearty with depth of flavor. Homey, comforting, delicious Chinese food. On a Saturday night there was ample parking at the front of the eatery. This place would be classified as a hole in wall with good fresh foods. There are so many offerings from bubble tea, egg tart, dumplings and noodles. We were seated quickly and noted most patrons did take out. Once seated there is a server that takes your order. We ordered beef chow fun, green onion pancake, fried rice, salad, green beans and dumplings. Everything came out so fast! The food was fresh with that familiar wok essence from the noodles and rice. Tried Bo's Kitchen after hearing many good reviews. Tried them when they were at Ohana Marketplace and wasnt too impressed, as I witnessed their cooking was via microwave. I was happy that their restaurant had late hours. Service was great, even though there was only 1 lady working; we went late so it was fine. Food came out fast. Prices were reasonable but dishes were on the saltier side (use of saltier sauces) and simplistic. Funn with mixed sauce and wonton - interesting combo with the peanut and hoisin (?l) sauce. Decent wonton. Could use less hoisin sauce. Fried buns with condensed milk - always yummy. Needs more condensed milk though. Green onion pancakes - decent but slightly greasy and not enough flavor. Sauce was a little odd. Cucumber salad with jellyfish - sauce was salty. Actually good if you shake off the excess (black) sauce. Garlic green bean - super salty sauce. Nice crunch though. I never dined in here, but I did order delivery twice in less than a week through doordash. Both times the food came nicely packed, well organized, and hot. The first time I've ordered almost a week ago was the pork hash, garlic green beans, mabo tofu with noodles, rice noodle and dumplings, and a pork belly dish with rice (can't remember the name). My favorite has to be the rice noodle cake with dumplings. It had peanut sauce and even reheating it on the stove made it satisfying to eat as leftovers. Each dish had between 6-8 pork and shrimp dumplings. The portions are generous which is enough for two meals. The pork hash came in 3s with the hot mustard and shoyu. Again these were good as well and not as oily and greasy. The pork belly was stringy and the rice was meh. It tries way too hard to copy Tom Khem which is a Laos dish. My mom had the tofu dish and after a while she did mention that the noodles got mushy and had no flavor. Then again she had to take a blood test so she had to watch her salt intake. I also tried the tofu and it was soft and not overly salty. The second time I ordered which was today, I replaced the rice dish with the char siu noodle soup and it was so good. It was the right portion size and the hot broth that's separate from the contents help soften the noodles. I also ordered coconut pudding and even though I have yet to try it, my mom said it was really good so I'm looking forward to it. Edit: I have now tried the coconut pudding and it was a generous portion. A nice refreshing and cold treat especially since we are now in the summer season. There is just a hint of coconut flavor though and shredded coconut flakes don't exist but it's still worth eating as a dessert or a snack. On both orders, I've ordered garlic green beans and it was the best tasting garlicky green beans I have ever tried. Overall, this place does serve good food but I'll probably skip the rice dishes and focus more on the noodle dishes and their sides. read more

Stormy rainy days call for won ton soup, and their won tons and dumplings are handmade! Friends had the mapo tofu noodles, won ton with mixed noodles, and the funn with peanut sauce. Everyone enjoyed their food, and the staff gave us the mini Jin dui for dessert. Sadly, they had sold out of the egg tarts already! Happened upon this place as a recommendation from Yelp of course. We really want to try some Chinese food while visiting Hawaii and had a great meal at Bo's. I recall getting a good amount of food to the point where we brought it back to the AirBnB and had it for breakfast. We had the noodles, which were well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The staff there were very nice but the elephant in the room. That parking is rough but it's not like I have not seen it before in HI. Met my family for dinner at Bo's Kitchen. It was the first for most of us. Nearly all of us got the laksa soup and the others got the braised beef noodles. We ordered the spicy won tons to share. The laksa soup was pretty tasty (3.5/5) and my only criticism was the rice noodles were not what I was expecting. I thought it would be flat look fun noodles or the thin pho noodles. But it was the round fat rice noodles. I didn't hear how my cousin liked his braised beef noodle soup. But he seemed to be happy and ate most of it so I'm guessing it was pretty good. The spicy won tons were pretty good (3.5/5). It was nothing amazing but tasty nonetheless. The restaurant is no frills. It's kind of dingy if you ask me and could use a good scrub down. But hey it's Hawaii and I kind of like the homey feel. Service was very friendly and accommodating, I found out after the fact that the restaurant tries their best to make any adjustments to suit diner tastes. That's definitely a plus in my book. The restaurant shares a small parking lot with other merchants. There's a rooftop parking on the back street parallel to Beretania. We got a little confused on the map, I've drove past before but coming from the windward side I punched in the location and it took us to the back side parking. Regardless it was still easy to fine, parking is small and limited. Inside has about 8 (4 seater tables) they can connect for larger parties. The restaurant is well-kept and clean. There are limited tables and seats for eating in, though I noticed many people ordering to-go. I appreciated the self-serve station with napkins, chili oil, utensils, etc. My boyfriend enjoyed his beef noodle soup. He added pork dumplings for an additional cost. I liked my chicken laska. I needed a hot soup to remedy my cold. The tamarind and spice helped clear my congestion. The only thing my boyfriend and I would have changed are the noodles. Family run busy with friendly service and really nice . I ordered the won ton min and they use the Chinese style egg noodles with a light chicken broth with was different and good, the won ton was one of the best I had, very tasty and great flavor and texture. My wife ordered the char siu noodles soup, which she enjoyed. We been trying to check out this place, due to all the Yelpers good reviews, but the parking in front has only 4-5 stalls and I didn't know that they have parking behind which you have to enter from Kinau street. read more

I love dumplings so had to try here. We came for dinner and were a little confused initially. We got seated with menus but we didn't know you had to go up to the window to order. After a while, we figured it out though. They were very nice, we were just confused. The place initially didn't have too many people but then it got crowded. It's not a super large place so it can't hold too many but a party of about 8 came and they got seated next to us. I got the brisket noodle soup. I thought it was ok. But my friend got the steamed rice noodle with wonton and I liked that much more! The sauce was so good. The noodles were the perfect texture. I liked the wontons in that one better than in the soup as well. I didn't love mine but k would come back again to try other dishes as well. I had heard so many good things about this place that I had to pick up some lunch before I returned my carshare. I had no idea what to get and I only had half an hour so I quickly looked at the menu and found something I hoped to enjoy when I got home. I saw a macha drink on the counter and asked if I could have one. The nice lady who took my order corrected me and said its was green tea and gave it to me as the person who ordered it hadn't come to pick it up yet. When I got home and opened the container, I mixed up the broccoli, beef and noodles together (I was really in the mood for noodles and broccoli) and dove in. I was happy for the Hong Kong noodles (much more substantive than regular noodles) but there wasn't much taste to it and when I reached the bottom of the dish, there was water left behind, which may have been condensation from the food being covered. Fast take out, which is great because parking is so sparse. They took over the old Tai Sei Ramen spot. I appreciate the huge variety of dishes they have on offer. The mapo tofu is spicy without being overwhelming. Note that the garlic chicken noodle dish has thin-cut noodles that also go great in a soup but they do not fry it. Comfort food! I love coming on a cold day to eat their noodle soups and dumplings. Decent portions and reasonably priced food. Love the variety of Cantonese foods and custard tarts. Small lot in front but more parking on the top lot. Friendly service and quick! read more

HIGHS: 1. won tons were very good: not deep-fried (unhealthy) as everywhere else, & very tasty with some kind of sauce. 2. cheerful-looking dining room, but kinda small & tables close together LOWS: 1. parking in rear (on Kinau St.) was plentiful but cumbersome to get to lower floor where Bo's is. exiting parking lot is dangerous requiring you to merge -- ZIPPER LANE! -- with speeding cars on the freeway off-ramp. gov't will stall putting in speed rumble strips/speed HUMP until enough accidents happen! very few stalls in front (on Beretania St.) with many signs & perhaps a warning to beware over-zealous stall owners/renters. read more

This place has a mom-and-pop vibe. I ordered the beef brisket noodle soup and it was yummy. One of the few places open late in Oahu too! Parking is limited, and there are only a couple handfuls of tables inside. Even at 9 PM, there were about 3-4 parties dining. The food was fresh, comforting, and felt homemade in the best way. Loved the cozy, homey atmosphere. I'd definitely come back to try more dishes. read more

The absolute best dumplings I have ever had in my life. These are not stuffed with 100% whatever meat/rice. They have lots of lovely seasoned greens ... just up my alley, just heavenly. And I was in the neighborhood only to look at an apartment... had some extra time so got one of the three parking spots at Bo's at 11:30 AM on a Sunday... what a delicious surprise!!
