Pho Que Huong never misses been going to their first location for years so I was very happy to hear they were opening a location near alas! Got my favs the speciality banh mi , spring rolls, & sugarcane juice w/calamasi I swear all the banh mis are phenomenal & the spring rolls are addicting! Hard to find sugarcane juice spots that make it similarly to Vietnam but theirs is spot on! Parking lot in the new location is pretty limited tho. Only a couple spots in the front & in the back. So I recommend coming early or parking at target & walking over.

I've never been to the original location but my friends told me their food is really authentic and had good Vietnamese food. They were so right! We had the banh mi, two rice dishes, and the pho but we all wanted a bite out of each others' food. We went back again after their opening week and service is really fast now. They checked on us to make sure everything was okay. Reading the other reviews looks like it was from those that went during their opening week when it was 20% off everything, so of course it's going to be busier. I'll be back again to try the other banh mi and drinks

Dinner in Honolulu, Hawaii... I was here at this Hot New Business last week and thought that my friends would like it, too. I called and made a reservation for 6 people... just in case. (There's a set tip price of 18 percent for groups of 6 or more.) We found free street parking because it was after 6:30pm and some of us parked in the restaurant's parking spaces right in front. Service by the owner, Kathy Pham, was excellent! She's so helpful, cheerful, and friendly! I ordered the vermicelli with Spring Rolls and Grilled pork. It was yummy! I took my leftovers home because the portion was generous! My friends enjoyed their meals, too: tofu veggie pho, combination broken rice plate, fish soup, and regular pho. We all liked the bright, spacious, and clean environment. Thanks for the wonderful experience!

I attended a Yelp event here and I LOVED the food so I came back today as a patron to have my dad try as well. Food was excellent as usual and my dad loved his experience as well. Service was very attentive and nice. Waters were always filled and they made sure to check on us periodically despite being busy in the morning! I really enjoy their Pho. Such a solid choice when you come here. The broth is very smooth and clean-tasting without feeling heavy. The noodles and meat are cooked perfectly and go perfect with the vegetables that they serve. I also love the chili oil. Chili oil goes perfect with the Pho. The Vietnamese Iced Coffee was also great - super strong but it was a great way to end our meal for lunch. Will definitely be bringing my friends here and I'm so happy they are now in an accessible area near town for dine-in with lots of open seating! The interior is also great! I like how it's got a refreshing and bright yet casual vibe. I can see this place being very popular amongst locals.

Unfortunately Pho Que Huong 2 is nothing like their original Chinatown location. Service, food, and ambiance were all terrible. Even worse, everything on their menu is $1-$5 more expensive than their Chinatown menu. Food: - Bun Bo Hue: quintessential to bun bo hue is aromatic chili and lemongrass and beef flavor. There was none. Broth tastes like watered down pho broth with a sprinkle of bun bo hue powder. Portion was small. - Banh Mi Dac Biet: just ok. Bread was a little stale, pickles weren't all that pickled. And there wasn't much meat or pate. Also pretty dry. - Lamb Chops: best dish of the 3. Nice grill and flavor on the lamb, wish it came with broken rice though. Service: I went for Sunday lunch during their soft opening and waited about 45 minutes. It took another 15 minutes for someone to give us a menu and some water. We tried to order the Stir Fried Goat, lamb chops, and Egg Coffee since those items aren't at their Chinatown Menu. Lamb chops came first and we cleared it in about 20 minutes. The stir fried goat didn't come yet. A waiter asked what we were waiting for and so we told him we were still missing the stir fried goat and egg coffee. Only then did he inform us that they ran out. Why did no one tell us either when we ordered or shortly thereafter? So we then ordered the bun Bo hue and banh mi since we were still hungry. Also, trying to waive down a waiter during our meal was very difficult. Ambiance: it was incredibly loud in there, we basically had to shout to talk to other people. Also, not a fan of the hard chairs. Because of the mishap, they gave us a 50% discount though which was nice.

Congrats to Pho Que Hong for their second location! They took over Pho one's spot on the first floor of a residential building near Ala Moana. There is parking but its quite limited but there is a few. The restaurant itself is bright and clean and quite large. They also had an opening promo of 20% off. It looks like the prices are higher than the chinatown location, but it might be easier for most people to come to this one instead. i grew up eating vietnamese food so i can be a little picky. i normally order things other than pho, so i ordered the bun rieu, bun bo hue and cafe su da this visit to go. the order took about 20 minutes which is fine i wasn't in a rush. if you do a take out order you'll have to go to the far back to make the order since the register is there. while waiting i noticed that people kept opening the door wrong so it slammed often. I wouldnt be surprised if it breaks one day. It pushes in to go inside the restaurant, and then you have to pull the door when you leave. Overall i thought that it was average. The crab noodle soup could have used a little more crabby taste to it but it's not bad. The bun bo hue was also pretty average and came with some chili oil. I kinda put a lot in there so my first bowl was pretty spicy. I also did not receive any utensils or a straw with my take out order but its ok...luckily i was not going to work and was going home and i found a straw at home too for my drink - i was actually saving the drink for work the next day and asked for no ice.

Big fans of their 1st shop, but this shop has them beat! Hahaha Easy parking right up front, same menus, clean and delicious! Our pho broth today was amazing and so wasn't our rib eye plate with two eggs! Service is quick and efficient, Truthfully no one cares about their rented chairs, which we were told was currently on back order from China. Will stop by when we were in the area. Much cheaper than a well known shop in the area as well.

This used to be Pho 1 so you'll see server from previous restaurants. Really cute place, inviting space with Vietnamese inspiration. Love their restroom decors. Huge menu with ample of options. We order duck salads, Bun riue and Seafood pho. Broth was full of flavors. Duck salads was delicious the ginger sauce was soooo good on the salad. The portion was huge. Service was quick. Definitely going back.

The hubby and I came for date night tonight. The Vietnamese food here is exceptional. It's their second location and also their grand opening week. From July 24th-30th, you'll receive 20% off your entire bill. On July 31st, the first 100 customers will receive a $5 gift card. We ordered the chicken wings $18, large chicken pho $20, oxtail pho $27, calamansi sugar cane juice $7 and Vietnamese iced coffee $7. The chicken wings are to die for. The eight piece flats were slightly breaded, crispy and drenched in caramelized fish sauce. This was so good. My oxtail pho was also delicious. I love the flavor of their broth. It's clean, but also savory. It came with one huge piece of oxtail and two medium pieces, which was a lot of meat. They also have a variety of condiments on the table. Don't pass up their chili oil. I like to mix it with the hoisin sauce. They also have fish sauce that I like to put in my pho. My Vietnamese iced coffee was good. I could taste the condensed milk. However, my husband's sugarcane juice was better. They have a sugarcane press machine in the restaurant. They were freshly pressing the sugarcane. Freshly pressed sugarcane juice is wonderful. There's nothing like it. I'm getting the sugarcane juice the next time. Service was on point and the food arrived swiftly. It was full house by the time we left and people were quoted a 15-20 minute wait.

The camera definitely did not eat first. As always Pho Que Huong never disappoints. My family and I have always been big fans of Pho Que Huong and to hear that they were opening another location near us was so exciting! As someone who was born in Vietnam, the food here is the closest thing to home. We ordered the Pho, Bun Bo Hue (spicy beef noodle soup), Trang (sampler plate), Bun Rieu (crab noodle soup), and Com Suon (pork chop). There is so much depth in their flavors and I couldn't get enough of it! I even ordered takeout for later :p Their drinks are so yummy too! We ordered the sea salt coffee, phe martini, phojito, and me o me. it was SOO GOOD. Beyond the food, the ambience was warm and inviting. Our waiter was Johnson and he was so kind and attentive to our table. We also got to meet the owner Kathy and she was very sweet! Look no further this is the best and most authentic Vietnamese food you'll get in all of Hawaii.

    Sariel L.

We got lucky and were seated right away even though the restaurant was pretty busy. The dining area was clean, and the staff were friendly and polite throughout our visit. Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow. It took a long time for someone to take our order, and we waited even longer for the food. After a long wait, we were finally told that one of the dishes we ordered was unavailable, which was frustrating. To make it worse, the table next to us arrived after we did, finished their meal, and even paid before our food was served. The pho was actually quite good, the broth was flavorful and comforting. However, the stir-fried ong choy was disappointing. It was cooked so dark that even the sauce was nearly black, the stems were very thick and tough, and the overall dish lacked freshness. There seems to be potential here because the pho was enjoyable, but the long wait and food quality made the overall experience disappointing. Hopefully they can improve the kitchen timing and quality control.

I heard they will keep this space for special events. The restaurant is quite busy and I'm glad we had reservations. Good thing I was there prior to lunch hour opening, otherwise we may lose our reservations since the person who made reservations tends to be habitual in arriving late. We dined in May, but it's been awhile since I first dined here. I preferred dining in Chinatown during lunch time than at dinner. Our waiter was really nice and helpful. I forgot his name, but I remembered that his eyeglasses that he wore was cool/funny, since the frames for each eye didn't match the other eye! lol. Funny it wasn't me who first noticed it. One was square frame and the other was a round frame! The restaurant doesn't do anything special for birthdays except may write Happy Birthday in chocolate on the dessert plate that you purchase for the birthday person. Their desserts are unique and refreshing. I think there are some rotating desserts /flavors like their seasonal menu for their main menu. I guess you can always keep coming back without being bored of the menu! I was bummed to see a previous dish posted of a pasta that I wanted to try that wasn't on the current spring seasonal menu! When we dined for brunch over the weekend, I was able to get the Hainan chicken with the crispy roast pork combo. It was very filling , tasty and satisfying. I do love ginger sauce on the cold ginger chicken but sometimes the chicken is just okay. This Hainan chicken was really good and the chicken was really moist! I thought it was the best I've tried! It was good that I wanted to takeout one last time in August before they moved! No more the 50/50 combo with the crispy roast pork on the lunch menu during the weekday. It was on the spring menu. Of course it's best to eat it in the restaurant than for take out. Bathroom is a must for me when dining out and they had only one shared bathroom for everyone! There was a guy who tried to make several attempts but wasn't successful, since there was always someone in the restroom. I'm glad the waiter told me there was a bigger separate bathroom with several stalls for men and ladies upstairs. You go straight through the kitchen to catch the elevator and to another kitchen /storage area! Thank Goodness! Best wishes at your new location. You offer yummy and tasty food!

While the servers were nice, we did order ahead of time and showed up when the Beluga app (where we ordered off of) told us to show up, but I ended up waiting 15 minutes at the restaurant later than I was supposed to get my food. Additionally, the staff seemed to forget I was sitting/waiting for my food. My suspicion is that the online ordering service isn't actively monitored and our order wasn't started until I actually showed up to the restaurant to pick up our food at the designated time. The food was okay for us. I'm a big Banh Mi fan and was looking forward to eating their Combination Banh Mi, but unfortunately the Banh Mi seemed a little rushed in preparation and lacked flavor. My husband on the other hand, ordered their Combination Pho and it absolutely did not disappoint. Although their Banh Mi was not as delicious and flavorful as I expected, their Pho was the exact opposite of that. They give you a generous amount of broth and their portions of greens was beyond enough (maybe a little bit too much for one serving). The last food item to talk about are their Spring Rolls. It wasn't anything too special compared to your usual Spring Rolls, but I will say that their dipping sauce and everything else that comes with it (rice noodles, cucumbers, cabbage, carrots) made it so that you could easily make it a meal vice an appetizer. If you're looking for a cozy place to have dinner, their space was a bit crowded but if you're okay with then this place is good. Just be warned that their prices are a little bit on the higher side in my opinion and be prepared for long wait times to receive your order.
