Conveniently located near Duke's, there's one outdoor table nearby, but really, just pick up a sandwich and take it to the beach! Staff was very friendly. Plenty of options for sandwiches and salads (and maybe more options, just what I noticed). I got the tuna sandwich and added a slice of pepper jack. I said no mayo or mustard, though I'd probably recommend mayo. There are so many veggies that it needs a little sauce. The veggies make you feel like you're eating something super healthy! There wasn't a ton of tuna in the sandwich, but half was filling enough for me. I'll save the rest for tomorrow. read more

I'm going to start by saying you won't find a sandwich shop in Waikiki like Pai's Deli. Their sandwiches are packed with fresh ingredients and tons of flavor. Skipping this place would be a crime. And prices are very reasonable for what you get. It's a hidden gem, tucked inside the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort just to the right of Duke's. I've been here many times and have ordered both smoothies and sandwiches. Let me tell you, the bread is incredibly soft, the greens are crisp and fresh, and the protein is ALWAYS tasty. The team works hard to craft your sandwich every time, and I always get a warm "thank you" when I pick mine up (I swear I got into a thank-you battle once, and of course, they won). I highly recommend the tuna sandwich. It's seasoned perfectly and generously filled with tuna. The greens are always piled high. Shredded carrots, spinach leaves, and more sprouts than you'd think possible. It's healthy and DELICIOUS. I usually add avocado, and the sandwich with avocado comes out to $13.75, which is a great deal for Waikiki. Oh! and you get a little skewer of two pineapple slices! It's cute, refreshing, and perfectly ripe every time. The last smoothie I ordered was the Avocado Green Island. It's made with mango, avocado, spinach, banana, greek yogurt, and coconut milk. It's creamy, slightly tangy, and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend. I've also tried their chicken salad sandwich (money!) and my favorite, the Captain Salad. I recommend getting it with Caesar dressing. The brand of ranch they use isn't really my thing. They also have a homemade balsamic vinagarette that sounds amazing. A little tough to find via Google Maps, but enter the walk-through mall area (towards Duke's) from the street side, NOT the beach side and walk all the way through and it'll be on your right (near laundry machines). Stuffed sandwiches, one of the best value meals we've found on the island during our stay and it was surprisingly in Waikiki. We got the turkey + avocado sandwich and a build your own salad, total was ~$27, but the portions are large. They don't skimp on the avocado, that's for sure. And on vacation, it can be hard to get in your veggies, but this is the spot to do so! I love that sprouts are a part of their veggie mix. Nowhere to eat really, but they package it up nicely and in a bag for you to take to-go. Great if you're headed to the beach on literally the other side of the building. read more

Got lunch at this hotel juice bar and deli. It certainly is more affordable than Duke's and other places in the Outrigger. Pai's is located over by the pool. Basically it's just a window to order at. There's a lot of interesting smoothies and sandwiches. Came in to look for it and couldn't find it at first. It's located before getting to the pool. There's not really any dining area around it as it's just a window. Actually affordable. It's about $6 for a smoothie. Also these are made with pure fruit. I got the Mango Pineapple. As for the food there's plenty that's affordable. It's about $5 for the Peanut Butter And Jelly Sandwich. Basic, but there's a choice of creamy or crunchy. This proves there's no need for good food to be expensive. Hard to find at first but worth it because it's cheap. It's located in the Outrigger on Kalakaua. The mom-and-pop running it are oddly not smooth at customer service: we experienced a slight issue and watched someone else having a big one. Also, we had a (small) mystery charge added to our bill when we put it on our room. There really isn't anywhere good to eat your meal - you take it and go somewhere else - or to wait while they make it (not terribly long, but not fast, either) - you just sort of stand around in the stream of people going to and from the pool. I found this restaurant well attending a conference in Waikiki. I was on the hunt for something healthy in Waikiki that didn't break the bank and this spot was perfect. Conveniently located in the outrigger Waikiki, this spot works out of a small space where you can grab and go because why wouldn't you wanna enjoy the beautiful views of Waikiki Beach? I ordered the egg salad and chicken salad sandwich. I thought I might get half-and-half, but it actually came together on the bread. I really liked the taste of the chicken salad egg salad with all the vegetables. And the entire sandwich is only $13 which is a great price considering Waikiki prices. The service was great and they were really respectful and nice. I would definitely go back to this place and try some more of their sandwiches. I went with turkey avocado and it was a delicious, healthy, fresh sammy. The slices of pineapple on the side were a nice bonus. They also have salads and smoothies. All of the above were fresh and satisfying with real attention to detail. The staff were friendly and the location is super convenient to the hotels on Waikiki beach. This was a great find kinda of hiding in the Royal Hawaiian Center in the general area of Dukes. We wanted something other than resort/hotel food, this was most definitely it. It is a very small deli that serves it up right. You will need to walk to it, it is off the beach and off of the main rode of Waikiki. The produce is extremely fresh, it is a large sandwich that could easily be shared. It was very reasonably priced, even with the Very Berry Berry smoothie it was just $30.00 for everything we ordered. It is primarily for take out orders, there is a single table with 5 seats located near it but really, just grab and go back to the beach, hotel or wherever. Found this hidden sandwich shop and smoothy in the outrigger Waikiki beach resort next to Dukes Waikiki. was there for work and lunch in Waikiki is hell expensive and me to find this place was a big relief cause price was under $12 for a sandwich and the tuna sandwich my favorite also there chicken and egg sandwich combo was a hit, there smoothie goes well paired with there sandwich and got to go in to see which one you like. The service was real awesome with mama in the back whipping out the sandwich as quick as she can and I know came with love cause sandwich was big. The place is small and there a little spot to eat but why not take it to the beach with a few steps away check them out if you ever in Waikiki. read more

Pai's is still our go to for sandwiches in Waikiki after all these years of discovering the shop back in 2016. It's still in the same location near Dukes inside the outrigger next to the laundry area. They take credit now for purchases over $5 and they're still serving deliciously crafted sandwiches that are beautifully presented. My favorite is the chicken salad on a croissant with mustard added but the sprouts removed. Sandwiches always come with a couple of pieces of fresh pineapple on the side to end the meal with something g sweet. My hubby always get the turkey avocado on wheat with cheese and mustard added. Make sure to get a smoothie which are made with fresh fruit. My go to is the pineapple, mango and papaya but the hubby always get a pineapple mango, no papaya. And if you're like me, you'll be a repeat visitor each time you visit Waikiki and go several times during your stay while laying out on the beach. read more

I had mine on a croissant and it was delicious. Perfect light lunch on a day you're at the beach where you don't want to get too full. Such nice withers as well. If you're staying at the Outrigger or any of the surrounding hotels this place is a daily stop in my opinion. The prices here will save you money and everything is really fresh and made to order. I tried the tuna, turkey, and chicken salad/avocado sandwiches. Recommended them all. It's safe this place doesn't miss so swing at anything that sounds good to you. Also get all the toppings that come with the sandwich - trust. My favorite item was the Super Energy Smoothie which I substituted the chocolate protein for vanilla protein. Felt like I got one everyday. Let's not forget about the service. The ladies that run this shop are all really nice! I think one of them owns it. I meant to ask, but you can definitely tell she takes pride in making the food/drinks. If you're staying at the Outrigger you should be here once a day for sure. read more
