You still have time this weekend to enjoy a deal at Capriotti's. Until the 5th you can get a turkey sandwich for a BOGO 50% off. I'm here enjoying my favorite sandwich the Bobbie. This is the medium size and for this sandwich you have to get a side of gravy to bring this sandwich over the top. Ordered it through their website is easy and a wonderful way to customize your meal. Lollipops for the keiki and Pepsi products are in the self serve fountain. Plenty of parking at this Foodland Market complex.

Stopped by at 8pm and the friendly cashier explained the menu. I ordered the most popular item which was the medium American Wagyu French dip and a bottle of Gatorade. Shortly the sandwich arrived wrapped tightly in a bag along with a big cup of au jus dip. The sandwich was packed with perfectly grilled pieces of Wagyu steak, melted cheese without any veggies. Dipped it and the first bite was heavenly. If you love beef like I do, this sandwich is very satisfying. Ambiance was very quiet and comfortable as it was near closing. Meal cost $27 quite expensive for a sandwich however you're in a nice clean restaurant in Kahala so it's worth it to me! Will be back to try other options.

Update* Two years later and Capriotti's is still serving! I ordered the Beef Cheesesteak with added spicy peppers - ToGo. The gal at the counter was sweet. The screen menu wasn't working and there were no paper menus up front. But she acquired some from the back and all was right again. Casual fast meal style place: tables and chairs. The hoagie bread - phenomenal The portion of thinly sliced beef - generous The spice of the peppers - has a lil heat! I love it. Finally! I ordered the 8" (because obviously it's just the right amount) and it was reasonably priced. With a drink and coleslaw (you have the option of chips, fries or slaw), it was about $25. The days of $5 footlongs are long gone. I'm happy to pay more for great quality.

I haven't been here in a while, but the hubby likes this place, so we stopped in for dinner last night. We ordered two of the medium Hot Bobbie $16.79 each with a fries and drink combo +$8.49. The Bobbie is pretty much a Thanksgiving meal in a sandwich. It was just as good as I remembered it. The medium was huge for me. I ate half and took the other half home for my son. I love their fries. It wasn't oily and extra crispy. This company was established in 1976. The Bobbie is their most popular sandwich. It was voted greatest sandwich in America. Their turkeys are roasted for 12 hours daily. It's hand pulled and never sliced. No wonder the sandwich is so yummy. The service by the young folks working there was outstanding. They were so polite. They asked me if I needed a bag when I was going to take my leftovers home. As we were leaving they told us thank you and to have a good night.

First time to Captiotti's sandwich shop this particular location is in the Kuono market place across from Kahala Mall . This Capriotti's has a different vibe they have dine in available along with French fries. I ordered their grilled Italian which was pretty good . Their sizes is not the normal half or foot long . They call it mini, small, medium, large . I ordered small and it was fairly large just like a foot long. Prices are not bad either service was friendly. Support local

First time here and we enjoyed our lunch. My friend and I both ordered a 10" sandwiches. I had a vegetarian and we shared a side of fries. I have had many vegetarian subs and sandwiches, but this one was so filling. My friend had the bacon chicken ranch and he enjoyed it also. Funny thing is, we did not realize Capriotti's was a chain with locations in more than 30 states! What?? This particular location provided us with fast and friendly service. The quantity and fresh quality of the food was definitely worth the price! It offers outdoor seating for the amazing Hawaiian weather. This was a really good sub/sandwich. We will be back!

2 year anniversary for this national franchise. The sandwiches were not only tasty...they were HUGE! The large was the length of my arm. Employees and owner are super friendly and the shop is very clean. They are building a second store in Kapolei (it's sure to be a hit!) Same parking lot as Foodland. If you haven't already tried them don't hesitate. Grab a sandwich and a drink and you'll be set for a long nap on the beach.

Great place for a quick sandwich. I really enjoyed their crispy fries. I like the portions for something that was considered a "small" it was quite filling.

The girl took our order politely. We ordered the signature turkey sandwich and fries. There is a little wait because everything is made fresh to order. We took the sandwich to go. The fries were hot. The sandwich and gravy were cold!!! I had to warm up the gravy at home!! The sandwich leaked through the paper bag on the way home. My pants were soaked

Looking for a place for a late lunch and we decided to try here. We walked and it was quite busy. I ordered a small Capastrami and my sons both ordered small French Dip, a fries to share and drinks. I like that you can order the sandwiches by size. The young man who took our order was very kind and patient. He informed us that it may take around 15 mins and if it is okay. Sure, I could see they were very busy. We sat at a table and got our drinks. The music they have playing is fun 80's music.. brings back good memories. lol anyway our food is ready and the French dip sandwiches had a nice amount of meat. My Capastrami was good but I wish it had more pastrami and less coleslaw. The fries were nice and crispy! We all enjoyed our lunch and said we will go back.

Chicken sandwich was stuffed well. Bread was a tad soggy and weighed down from all the stuffing. The chicken was tasty and plentiful. The sauce was well-portioned, and we loved the flavor that the coleslaw added. Great spot for a to go sandwich! Quick service and you can order online.

I remember seeing this place on IG and had to check it out because I love a good sandwich! We ordered a large French dip sandwich to share and it was so tasty! The meat was tender and the cheese was perfectly melted on top. I loved how the bread was nice and crisp so it wasn't too soggy when we dipped it in the au jus. We also got a side of the naked fries and omg it was so good! I l liked how thinly sliced it was so it was really crispy. It was almost like a cross between a fry and chip. Inside the store itself is pretty clean and spacious and the food came out quick. I definitely recommend this place! It's like a more elevated Subway or Jersey Mike's! I would come here again to try their other sandwiches and to get their fries again!

You know this place is good since there is a steady line of people ordering bags and bags of food. Just to say, this is another must-do must-try place for food. We was super excited to have the mixed plate with gravy. It was beef, chicken and fish with rice and mac salad. It was huge and perfect. It tasted amazing and I would order this again and again. One child also ordered the BBQ pork sandwich which she enjoyed and since it was a small menu item could help with the mix plate, which is impossible to finish in one sitting. I was stuffed and in woman versus food, food won overwhelmingly. I wish I had room to try the slush and ice cream or other items, but I could not eat another bite. So many items on the menu were very tempting and I am sad I only got to visit here one time. Soda area was pretty dirty with lots of spilled soda all over and no employees bother to wipe it down. The Jumbo Jack was SO SMALL!! Barely anything in it!! They also didn't have ketchup!! How odd is that to not have ketchup? Some customer lost his temper and started yelling at the workers and eventually got into it with the manager. He claimed he was waiting for an hour for his food, which I highly doubt, but it was quite entertaining hearing him scream his head off at the manager. "I don't want my food now because you guys will probably spit in it!" He kept saying that over and over. It was pretty funny. Anyway, the place was just as smelly and dirty as the Niu Valley location, and the Jumbo Jack wasn't very "jumbo"! Hahaha!! I was in the area with a couple of friends, who wanted to go to dinner. I suggested Vietnamese since there was a handful in the immediate area but one said let's go to the new burger joint. I'm like okay. We arrived here on a recent weekend in June 2026. The place wasn't too crowded and it was kind of buzzing. The place was as I remember it as a ramen place back in the early 2000's, but has been remodeled to serve the burger and fries loving community here in Kaimuki. We took our time and enjoyed the ambiance. It was a nice and simple experience here. If you want the alternative to the familiar, consider coming to Boarded Up by Chubby's Burgers in Kaimuki. While the ambiance could be a little better, the food was a hit and delicious at the same time. It was nostalgic to be in this place since it's been a while since I was here when it used to be a ramen place before it became a burger joint in Kaimuki. My friends and I decided to dine in and enjoy the evening. We all ordered a burger combo and it came with fries and a drink, the normal tradition of fast food. I ended up getting the Carolina onion burger with double patties and the spicy garlic fries. The tab was over $20 but for the first time, it was worth it for sure. It can get pricey for burgers and fries, but if you love double patty burgers, you're going to love having one here at Boarded Up by Chubby's burgers Kaimuki. My friends and I spent about 1 1/2 hours here eating and chilling afterwards. I ended up grabbing a milkshake to go, which was almost $10. The end result was delicious and very calorie dense. It was definitely a cheat meal and to celebrate a friend's birthday. The overall experience here at Boarded Up by Chubby's burger's Kaimuki was very good and quite the nostalgic piece because I've been here before Boarded Up took over the space and remodeled it as their own. The restaurant was very small as I remember it, boasting a bunch of tables in a limited space. The vibe was okay but the food was good. The service was quite good and friendly. They make everything made to order so you'd have to wait a good amount of time before you can eat. The restaurant itself is clean and easy to get to. The milkshake at the end was delicious as an after dinner drink to cap off a birthday celebration. For the most part though, having this new burger joint was good and a welcomed addition into the Kaimuki business ohana. If you are ever looking for an authentic alternative to the usual suspects and in the Kaimuki area, consider coming to this heavenly place where you can get in your burger fix for a reasonable price. While these burgers can be a bit pricey, you can be sure they are good and delicious which is the ideal set up. Everything is good here and definitely worth a try and sample. Make Kaimuki your destination here on Oahu and come on over to taste the delicious difference. The Carolina onion burger is pretty amazing and hope you will try that too. Ask for extra onions. Boarded Up by Chubby's Burgers is located in the Kaimuki district of Honolulu, Hi. It's physically located at 1108 12th Avenue next to the gas station on Harding Avenue. It's a stand alone building. They accept major credit cards as well as cash. As far as parking goes, there's a paid municipal lot right adjacent to the restaurant for the area's businesses. Quite nice for sure or you can find residential street parking nearby where you can find it. If you are like me, a few bus routes stop near the area. Namely, routes 1, 1L, 14, and 7. The popular bus stops runs along Koko Head Avenue and Waialae Avenues. Then there's always Uber and Lyft that can be the one that will get you here to where you need to be. And so, come here and come hungry. It's one of the best hidden gems in Kaimuki town. 5.0 stars for the overall experience even tho the ambiance is okay. Support local! A+

I learned that at McDonald's, "plain sundae" is something you can order and it's just a cup of soft serve. In any case, I didn't order a plain sundae, I ordered a caramel sundae. The worker yelled something back to the first person who I had ordered from, then topped the ice creams with some caramel and handed them back to me. At least the price is the same for a "plain sundae" and caramel or chocolate versions, so I didn't have to pay the difference. Also, I gotta say, McDonald's really is practicing shrinkflation, as the last time I got a caramel sundae when it used to be in the plastic cups, it sure seemed like a lot more ice cream and a lot more caramel. This little paper cup of ice cream isn't really worth the price.

(Tookout 04/22/26 WE @ 7:00pm): No raised fingers given at this chicken coop!…read more In my quest to continue exploring the various cuisine scenes as well as other businesses throughout O'ahu's Windward side, specifically the neighborhood of Hawaii Kai (southeast shore of the island), I ventured into Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers as my first time to ever try their food after I've seen them all over the place on the Mainland. I was always down for a juicy succulent piece of fried chicken however it was fed to me. It wasn't the healthiest way to eat chicken, but things fried just tasted better, correct!? Founded in 1996 on the campus of LSU by Todd Graves and named after a friend's Labrador Retriever (Raising Cane), his arduous dream that began in college has since grown into one of the fastest grown restaurant brands in the U.S. Would I raise a thumb's up instead of a middle finger to their tender chicken!? PURCHASE(S) 3pc Chicken Fingers Sandwich ($8.79): This messy two-hander was slipping and sliding all over the place as I tried to keep it together (I failed). Three crispy crunchy thick pieces of chicken between a pillowy soft sweet bun with a smear of Cane sauce and a hint of lettuce, this was a lovely introduction to this brand's food, and I now understood the hype that surrounded it. Aesthetics aside, you could've easily eaten this as fingers and a side of bread, but this large sandwich did the job. My only wish was that it was spicy and came with pickle chips, but it was still ono! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=sod8F8j7AIUDoK3mQptIUw The Box Combo - 4pc Chicken Fingers, Crinkle-Cut Fries, Texas Toast, Coleslaw, Cane Sauce, 22floz Drink ($12.79): Because of my sandwich, I was able to split this meal into two! Loaded with a little bit of everything, the chicken was just as yummy as my sandwich, there were plenty of spud sticks with a light dusting of seasoning, the toast was a revelation all on its own and would easily order a few more as a snack, the coleslaw lacked flavor (I put some on my sandwich instead), the Cane sauce add a touch of zing but wished it was spicy, and the sweet tea was like I was transported to the South it was so damn good and probably loaded with a ton of sugar. A heck of a meal at a deal! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=f5GUo39r6DcCdVAVoN-ArA SERVICE I was greeted by a young woman at the front counter where I immediately placed my order, received my cup to fill with my fountain drink of choice, and within five minutes my name was called as we caught each other's eyes while I waited nearby. Everything was good - mahalo! PARKING (FREE; N/A this instance): Located in the outdoor Hawaii Kai Towne Center, there were plenty of spots although I decided to do the 25-minute one-way walk for exercise - 'nuff said! ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A standard quick-service restaurant layout with a central order counter, a fountain drink machine off to the side, plenty of dining spots in a spacious room, and minimal decorations with some interesting elements such as these ceiling disco balls https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=Ruk3zzf-dWb0pTPXWIWt6Q (I didn't know if they actually worked). Plenty of natural lighting came in through the front doors and surrounding windows while recessed electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There were no TVs while pop music played in the background. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL I really enjoyed the food at Hawaii Kai's Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers location as my first experience with this brand. High marks for all of the food (however... please add some spice to the chicken seasoning and sauce, and more flavor to the coleslaw), the portions were great, the prices were very reasonable, and the service straightforward. The menu was extremely limited, but the same could be said with In-N-Out. I wished there were some Hawaii-specific menu items. Sure, they were a fast-food chain restaurant, but they started as a local small mom & pop business at one time. I found complete value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $23.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 5.0 STARS
