First off, I rarely write reviews, but in this case I felt a need to write this one. I've been here before several times and service and food has always been stellar. They were obviously running behind today because it took over half an hour to get a sandwich!!!Plus there were 3 workers and another came later. Constant apologies to customers for running behind and even mobile orders were backed up. To add instant to injury my fries were cold. And I love their fries, but not today. I voiced my concern to one of the workers and he apologized and told me he'd make me a new batch. No thanks! Next time bring the fries out hot please. Stopped by at 8pm and the friendly cashier explained the menu. I ordered the most popular item which was the medium American Wagyu French dip and a bottle of Gatorade. Shortly the sandwich arrived wrapped tightly in a bag along with a big cup of au jus dip. The sandwich was packed with perfectly grilled pieces of Wagyu steak, melted cheese without any veggies. Dipped it and the first bite was heavenly. If you love beef like I do, this sandwich is very satisfying. Ambiance was very quiet and comfortable as it was near closing. Meal cost $27 quite expensive for a sandwich however you're in a nice clean restaurant in Kahala so it's worth it to me! Will be back to try other options. read more

Update* Two years later and Capriotti's is still serving! I ordered the Beef Cheesesteak with added spicy peppers - ToGo. The gal at the counter was sweet. The screen menu wasn't working and there were no paper menus up front. But she acquired some from the back and all was right again. Casual fast meal style place: tables and chairs. The hoagie bread - phenomenal The portion of thinly sliced beef - generous The spice of the peppers - has a lil heat! I love it. Finally! I ordered the 8" (because obviously it's just the right amount) and it was reasonably priced. With a drink and coleslaw (you have the option of chips, fries or slaw), it was about $25. I get on a sandwich kicks and I am by no means an expert...but I know when I like something and my biggest complaint about places is when my bread turns to mush or gets smashed flat. The sandwiches held their own...even after being shoved in my bag for a couple hours. Suuuuper tasty. Little bit messy and no napkins so that sucked. My $12 sandwich super filled me up. Wouldn't have been enough for the hubs, but think he would really enjoy some of them. I have tried the chicken chipotle. Yummy. My husband's co-worker recommended this place, so my family and I went ahead and tried it out for ourselves. The menu was pretty straight forward and I love how they have a picture on the counter for you to decide the length of the sandwich you want to order. I haven't been here in a while, but the hubby likes this place, so we stopped in for dinner last night. We ordered two of the medium Hot Bobbie $16.79 each with a fries and drink combo +$8.49. The Bobbie is pretty much a Thanksgiving meal in a sandwich. It was just as good as I remembered it. The medium was huge for me. I ate half and took the other half home for my son. I love their fries. It wasn't oily and extra crispy. This company was established in 1976. The Bobbie is their most popular sandwich. It was voted greatest sandwich in America. Their turkeys are roasted for 12 hours daily. It's hand pulled and never sliced. No wonder the sandwich is so yummy. The service by the young folks working there was outstanding. They were so polite. First time here and we enjoyed our lunch. My friend and I both ordered a 10" sandwiches. I had a vegetarian and we shared a side of fries. I have had many vegetarian subs and sandwiches, but this one was so filling. My friend had the bacon chicken ranch and he enjoyed it also. Funny thing is, we did not realize Capriotti's was a chain with locations in more than 30 states! What?? This particular location provided us with fast and friendly service. Employees and owner are super friendly and the shop is very clean. They are building a second store in Kapolei (it's sure to be a hit!) Same parking lot as Foodland. The meat was tender and the cheese was perfectly melted on top. I loved how the bread was nice and crisp so it wasn't too soggy when we dipped it in the au jus. We also got a side of the naked fries and omg it was so good! I l liked how thinly sliced it was so it was really crispy. It was almost like a cross between a fry and chip. I downloaded the rewards app to redeem the $2 off my first order at Capriotti's. I believe this sandwich shop is a chain, like Subway or Jersey Mike's. I've heard good things about their hoagies, and wanted to give them a try. [Location] This Capriotti's is located in the new shopping plaza, across from Kahala Mall. Close to Zippy's and Shell gas station. Parking is free but hard to come by depending on the time and day. Free parking is always a bonus though. I enjoyed my Italian, as it was loaded with veggies and meats. The bread is not as satisfyingly fluffy as Jersey Mike's, but it was soft and tasted fresh. This was hands down one of the best wagyu sandwiches I've had in Honolulu. The beef was incredibly tender, juicy, and full of rich flavor. Every bite melted in my mouth. The bread was perfectly toasted and held everything together without overpowering the wagyu. Capriotti's is a franchise that does not make their own bread but the ingredients are high-quality. I love that the staff all greets you when you walk in and thanks you as you walk out. It's a clean, busy establishment with a decent amount of seating. The sandwiches come in extremely generous portions, packaged with care. The Classic Club and Capastrami were so good! I would eat either again. The fries/drink combo is worth adding. The only thing that confused me was that I was expecting the flat fries I saw pictured on Yelp. I got regular fries, but the portion was huge and the flavor and crunch were perfect. I would say $30 for two people was a fair price for the amount of food you get. Today - June 30th was the only day to use the coupon for $5.00 for a small Bobbie sandwich with the purchase of a small, medium or large sandwich. I purchased the Bobbie and the Classic Club with no onions. I went arou nd 7 pm. I was quite busy. I had to wait over 20 minutes for the cold to go sandwiches. The manager was nice enough to give a cookie since it took so long and other peoples orders were done before my order although they came after I did - some were called in orders etc. I have tasted these sandwiches before and the bread is soft and there is enough filling. Of course I am going to share. It's wrapped like they used wrap meats at the butcher only it's not pink paper....Join the rewards for points and specials. Very filling and tasty sandwiches. So glad this place is on Oahu now! This is one of my go-to when I'm in Vegas. My all time fav is the Bobbie! I ate it cold and hot but my preference is the hot. Don't get me wrong, the cold one is also delicious. The new thing is the gravy on the side for you to dip or pour on your Bobbie at a cheap price. Great add-on to make this sandwich even more delicious!! They have different portions to the sandwich that is good and convenient. They also have fountain drinks as well as bottled drinks (nonalcoholic, lol). I'm guessing it's refillable b/c it's in the dining area and no sign indicating it wasn't refillable. This is located in one of the smaller shopping centers with Foodland Market and Purvè. The parking lot is small but not tiny. We were able to find a stall almost immediately. The shop itself is small but not too tiny. Don't worry b/c it seems customers preferred to do take out. It's clean and trendy (not like the ones in Vegas). Food came out quick. I totally meant to put in my review from like a month ago but forgot until my friend reminded me! I love that you can order online and just pick up. Me and husband tried the American Wagyu French Dip, Cheesesteak, and Naked Fries. The sandwiches are very generous in size and filling. We both really enjoyed the flavors of both sandwiches. It is extremely wet though and the bread easily gets very soggy if you get anything that has some liquid in it. We got added in hot peppers so I suspect this introduced more moisture than it already had. So we ate it in the car like we almost always do and it was a mess! Not the shops fault though, I think it's the nature of the sandwiches we got. The great thing is you can air fry that bad boy and it's good as new! I ate half and did my usual air fry trick and was happy to tell the husband we def could go back now that I found a solution. I love crisp bread which means toasted sandwich and won't typically eat them any other way. The fries were yummy too!!! That didn't survive for leftovers haha.
