Been wanting to try Machete's for a long time now, and I must say I'm so bummed I didn't try them sooner. WOW!!! Excellent sandwiches, and can we talk about their bread?? The softest bread I've ever had!! Ordered a turkey and a roast beef and both were great. Everything was sliced thin, and the meat and veggie ratio were on point. I'm already planning my next sandwich...... I loved their tape they used to wrap the sandwich, very cute!!

Placed my order on-line requested for delivery. Ordered for myself and co-workers and everyone was pleased with their order. the sandwiches are substantial! the delivery was right on time. They were nice enough to add everyone's name on the sandwich wrap. Well made, neatly packed sandwiches, the bread is really delicious.

Turkey sandwich but they forgot the turkey

I ordered a #11- Turkey Avocado Bacon. I wanted cracked wheat bread, but was told they ran out. Got the white bread because I didn't want to wait 1 hour. This is a take-out only option. Got to my location and noticed they forgot the turkey in my turkey sandwich. Went back and got the corrected version. They let me keep the original sandwich, but I didn't eat it because it barely had anything in it. The finished product is basically all bread. Maybe I can request that they slice the bread thinner when I order a sandwich. I just couldn't taste much of the inside with the thick bread. Also, they forgot my mustard packet twice, but my bad for not checking.

When we landed, the plane had to sit on the tarmac for a little over an hour due to an earlier arrival and no parking spaces available...LOL! I was beginning to get hungry. But by the time I got my car and checked into my hotel, I was starving!!! I drove over to U Choice but parking was chaos, and then I remembered Machete and how I didn't get a chance to go on my last visit. Parking can be a challenge, but luckily, there was one on the side street! The worker didn't hear me come in and I was trying to figure out what sandwich I wanted. There's quite a number of them to choose from. I decided to get The Machete...turkey, pastrami, ham, salami, cheddar, and provolone, with tomato, lettuce and onions, mayo and Italian vinaigrette. This sandwich was sooooooooo good! It "killed" my hunger! LOL! My only regret was not grabbing some napkins because I was eating on the go. The worker was really nice and made the sandwich quickly so the wait wasn't too bad. Definitely worth checking out!

A family member had walked by this spot many times and finally tried on their own. Verdict was, they loved the place and sandwiches so we had to try it again together! I absolutely loved the food, so if you're a fan of big quality sandwiches, this place is worth checking out! Located on Kalakaua near Don Quijote, they have dedicated parking out back and on the side streets. It's a small shop, more to get to go than eat there. You can order online for scheduled pickup, which was an easy way to pick what free and premium additions you'd like as well. Prices are reasonable for fresh produce, quality meat, and large portions. On pickup the sandwiches were ready and accurate to our order. The cashier and sandwich maker was extra friendly and happy to talk to customers. The bread is baked fresh daily, it's perfectly soft with soft firm crusts. Also, thanks for the fun doodles about each sandwich! I look forward to trying this place again and am thankful for little reasonably priced restaurants like this popping again.

Ordered delivery for a large lunch order (minimum $100 order needed for delivery). Delivery fee was $4.99, so not too bad. Service was very fast as the order came 20 minutes before the scheduled time. Sandwiches were labeled with everyone's name as requested, which made it super easy to get everyone their order. I got the turkey, bacon, and avocado on cracked wheat. It was a good sandwich pairing. Sandwich is big and is super filling - I only ate half and saved the other half to eat for lunch the next day. Definitely worth the price! The bread is super soft!

Great little hole in the wall sandwich shop on the edge of Waikiki and close to the Convention Center. The must try is the white bread. It's sliced thick and tastes like butter. Be sure to add the Freemiums to your sandwich when you're checking out otherwise you gonna get what is listed in the sandwich description on the menu.

Got the Machete and it was sooo mean. Heavy with meats and the bread is made fresh. Chef's kiss. Service was fast and friendly.

Are they open on Saturdays? Tried to call the store for a status on my order but no one is answering

They're open 7 days a week. Not sure what time you called and there's was no answer. Sometimes, there's only one workers and if he/she is busy making a sandwich, he/she cannot answer the phone. Best to keep on trying.

Can I buy the bread anywhere? Because it is the bommbbbbb!!! ??????

Hi! I heard they sell their bread too! Might want to call them.

Conveniently located near Duke's, there's one outdoor table nearby, but really, just pick up a sandwich and take it to the beach! Staff was very friendly. Plenty of options for sandwiches and salads (and maybe more options, just what I noticed). I got the tuna sandwich and added a slice of pepper jack. I said no mayo or mustard, though I'd probably recommend mayo. There are so many veggies that it needs a little sauce. The veggies make you feel like you're eating something super healthy! There wasn't a ton of tuna in the sandwich, but half was filling enough for me. I'll save the rest for tomorrow.

Skipping this place would be a crime. And prices are very reasonable for what you get. It's a hidden gem, tucked inside the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort just to the right of Duke's. I've been here many times and have ordered both smoothies and sandwiches. Let me tell you, the bread is incredibly soft, the greens are crisp and fresh, and the protein is ALWAYS tasty. The team works hard to craft your sandwich every time, and I always get a warm "thank you" when I pick mine up (I swear I got into a thank-you battle once, and of course, they won). I highly recommend the tuna sandwich. It's seasoned perfectly and generously filled with tuna. The greens are always piled high. Shredded carrots, spinach leaves, and more sprouts than you'd think possible. It's healthy and DELICIOUS. I usually add avocado, and the sandwich with avocado comes out to $13.75, which is a great deal for Waikiki. Oh! and you get a little skewer of two pineapple slices! It's cute, refreshing, and perfectly ripe every time. The last smoothie I ordered was the Avocado Green Island. It's made with mango, avocado, spinach, banana, greek yogurt, and coconut milk. It's creamy, slightly tangy, and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend. I've also tried their chicken salad sandwich (money!) and my favorite, the Captain Salad. I recommend getting it with Caesar dressing. The brand of ranch they use isn't really my thing. They also have a homemade balsamic vinagarette that sounds amazing. The salad is huge, topped with turkey and generous crumbles of bacon. I'm telling you, they're serving hit after hit after hit at this spot. Go and enjoy ASAP!

This place was just two blocks away, so we braved the November misty rain and consistent wind through the buildings to make it over here. To be fair, this seemed more like a Vietnamese coffee joint and a Banh Mi place... so maybe coming here for pho wasn't our best idea. They had two kinds available that night-- beef and chicken. Since chicken pho is not something I'm willing to try, we both ordered up the dac biet. The broth was bland with a thin and unpleasant veil of grease along the top that congealed quickly on the rim of the bowl. It wasn't hot enough, or maybe the pre-cooked and chilled noodle block they poured it over cooled it off. Meat was chewy and low quality. The sprouts and basil were soggy and wilted. Honestly, it was a get up and leave kind of thing. The whole place was just dingy and didn't feel great. I've eaten at some very modest places in my native San Gabriel Valley in Southern California, so it's not a snobbery thing. It's a "someone get a Swiffer wet jet and some paper towels and give this whole place a once-over. Speaking of once, that's the sum total of times we'll ever eat here. I love that Sprout has vegetable-forward options even in their meat-based sandwiches. The pesto chicken salad was loaded with beautiful green goodies which made this treat as aesthetically pleasing as it was delectable. They're also slapping down some of the best local Hawaiian ingredients into these here sanguines. The pesto itself was mac-nut based, which was intriguing. I'll be honest, I couldn't taste the difference between that and a pine nut pesto, but it was friggin delish pesto either way. The only downside I can think of is that the bread here lands somewhere between "ok" and "good". I've never had a bread quite like it, but it reminds me of a mix between an artisanal white bread, and a painini bread that you would find in Italy. It got the job done, but I feel like it could be upgraded. Sprout is worth a visit before or after your beach trip. The surrounding neighborhood is also a lively area with tons of fun restaurants and shopping.
