Lunch in Kaimuki, Honolulu, Hawai'i... I was a bit disappointed in our Vietnamese meal the other day, so I tried to make up for it by going to Super Pho on Waialae Avenue. I've passed by so many times... There's a free parking lot behind the restaurant! Otherwise, metered street parking is free on holidays and Sundays. Service was okay. It wasn't busy, but I wasn't the only customer. They didn't really have to hustle in the late afternoon between lunch and dinner... This is quite a spacious, bright, old school place! I liked the yellow-flowered artificial tree a lot... I was facing it, and admiring it. I got my usual vermicelli with grilled pork and spring roll. It wasn't the best and it wasn't the worst. Decent parking in the back, othe, there's street metered parking along Waialae Ave. I had the rare beef pho and Summer rolls for lunch. The broth is very tasty and light and they give you a good amount of beef. The Summer rolls were also good, with lots of shrimp and a good sauce. Service was great and the ambiance is what you'd expect for a Mom n pop restaurant. Prices might seem a bit high if you venture away from the standard pho and rolls menu, but it might be worth trying. read more

Sunday March 15, 2026. We came here for dinner on a Sunday. Metered street parking or they a have a small private parking lot. It was empty inside at the time we came here. We ordered and the food came out shortly after one by one. Food is still the same good taste like before. Just the prices is higher like every place else. As someone who regularly makes pho for my family, I can be quite particular about the quality of pho. Off the bat, parking was pretty hard to get so we parked off somewhere residential and walked over. We were seated quickly since they weren't busy and orders were taken quickly too which was great. The ambiance is meh as it's quite small inside and the loud Viet club-esque music is a bit off-putting? But what really knocks it down to 3-stars is that the pho is oddly saltier than I'm used to and I frequent a lot of pho establishments as well as make my own homemade pho. It did the job for a quick pho fix but it was definitely on the saltier side than I like. read more

I had the combination sandwich the bread was nice and crispy and soft inside which was very good, but the meat was a long piece running throughout the sandwich which make it hard to eat because when you bite into it the whole piece of meat starts to come out, other than that the sandwich had fresh vegetables and fresh jalapeño peppers which was great. The sandwich could use a little bite more flavor. My wife had the Tendon Pho which was very good and the chucks on tendon were large and cooked right and the soup stock also was very good. The summer roll was good and the peanut sauce was tasty. The restroom is outside of the restaurant, you need to go around the building on the parking lot area and you also need a key for the men and women's restroom. There is no wheelchair ramp, so you need to go up 1-2 steps and take your wheelchair inside. read more

We walk past super pho at least two times a week and finally stopped in on a search for pho on a chilly January evening. The restaurant was busy, but the servers attentive, filling our water frequently and taking our order within minutes of being seated. They're a cute, family owned establishment with a nice variety of menu items for both meat eaters and animal lovers alike, at prices comparable to most Vietnamese restaurants in the area. My honey and I ordered the combination pho, and spring rolls, which were plenty to feed two. Everyone else in the restaurant was walking out with takeout boxes, so all the dishes were generously sized. Loved our experience at Super Pho on Waialae. The parking was located right behind the building and easy to find. I loved the ambiance of the restaurant that was really welcoming and bright inside. Nice large room with lots of seating. We were greeted quickly and the staff were really nice and gave up great tips. These meals are huge! Full of flavor and tons of ingredients. There's so much to choose from so we will definitely have to come back and try more. The crab meat soup was piping hot and had so much lovely crab flavor and filled with meat. I liked that you could add your own spices and vegetables too. The crepe was unique and cooled really well. I just returned from lunch with my grown kids and grandkids from Super Pho - Waialae. Unfortunately there was nothing super about it. Not one thing. The service was poor, food was so-so and too high priced for what you got. Also, the lady who was working really had an attitude problem. I had to flag her down to get service...first to place our order and then to pay for the bill. I never went to a restaurant where you are asked to pay for the bill without even seeing it. She just stuck the portable card payer in my hand and said "sign it". It was only later that she said there is a 20% service fee for parties over 5 people. I had to ask her for the full receipt so that I could see if they added everything up correctly. I will never return to this place ever again and will tell friends to not go there either...I would rather spend my money elsewhere! read more

Friendly and clean environment. The parking lot in rear is limited, so you will probably have to find street parking. The beef salad needed to be cooked a little bit more (the beef) because it was just too raw for salad. Maybe it would be ok in pho since the hot soup will cook it more. I've been here multiple times and enjoyed my usual rice plate. Sadly, the past two times I've ordered take out my chili sauce tasted like there was a good helping of dish soap! I tried to let it go the first time as a mistake, which I still am not sure how you get that much dish soap into chili sauce unless you're doing dishes right next to an open bottle of chili sauce. Ordered to-go. Called in and made an order. They estimated 15 min and.. guess what-I was there in 7 min and my food was practically ready! The gentleman who took my phone order was polite and amazing. When I arrived I noticed they have a parking lot! Yasss. Secondly I noticed this is a family run business. Stumbled upon place while on our lunch break. Thai tea is AMAZING!!!! 10/10 for that- so good I even bought one to go haha! Spring rolls and summer rolls good, like any other Pho place in my opinion. The pho was pretty good but the broth wasn't super flavorful. We had to add a ton of condiments to make it tasty. The siracha was NOT good, super watered down and honestly not even spicy. If I could give this place a 10-star rating, I would. Let me just start off by saying I came to this little spot because it's close to where I live, I'd never tried it before, and I was hungover AS FCK and needed some pho, lol. This spot is by far THE BEST I've ever had! The broth must have been simmering for a day or so, because--let me tell you--it was unbelievably rich and flavorful. I've never tasted broth like this at any of the many pho places I've tried. EVER. And on top of that, the hospitality was amazing. The lady who helped us this morning was very attentive and kind. I had my daughter with me, and they adored her; she even helped pour my noodles into my to-go container (I was pretty hungover, lol). This place is now my new go to pho place!
