Making it Mike's Way (minus the onions)
    Irene M.

I love sandwiches... Something about putting all your favorites between bread to enjoy especially on a hot summer afternoon nothing that a hot plate lunch can cure though I was in the Kahala Mall area I just didn't want to fight for parking and lines and though that this 4618 Kahala location which is just beside the mall where there's a bunch of shops and always parking available would be the perfect place for some lunch. Walking in is nice as the shop is nice and clean though you start at the back to order your sandwich and since I wanted to make it Mike's Way which is to add the lettuce and tomatoes it's only available for cold sandwiches...Jersey Shore's Favorite was it. Topped with Provolone, Ham & Cappacuolo they slice each item to order so you do feel the freshness to which you move on to the toppings and Mike's Way is shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes, sliced onions and juice or the dressing, it's all loaded and wrapped to go. The shop is nice and clean with a few seatings most are high tops as the lower regular seating area labeled for disable so I decided to take my sandwich outside where there's are lots of shaded seating. Service is nice but pretty basic but I enjoyed my sandwich that got quite pricey as I didn't say though they didn't ask what size which I will remember the next time. Thank you!

Horrible sandwich. I usually get my sandwich from University location. They didn't even ask me for any veggies and so little meat

My favorite sub place here in Honolulu! Mike's Way really is the way! I love everything I've tried here and the portions are huge. My favorite is the club supreme which comes with turkey, roast beef and bacon! So flavorful. The staff are super friendly and even when I forgot my purse there and called a few minutes later they had already grabbed it and put it in the safe for me! I love the choice of indoor and outdoor seating at this location right next to Kahala mall. The sizes are very generous and I can split a giant with the family! Even the mini is very filling. Well worth the money. Can't wait to go back and try more.

I thought i reviewed Jersey Mike's I guess not . Stopped there today to get a sub buy 1 sub get one free. Thanks to Peter .Y giving me a coupon what a deal . I ordered a Roast beef sandwich i noticed that their bread is on the hard side . Also i noticed that they do not have black olives part of their vegetables. Although next i time i would order their Philly cheese steak .

Honestly this is my favorite location. They put a good amount of meat and I can tell the people who work here care/have been trained well cause the meat to bread ratio is on point. At other locations I will sometimes get too much bread and a little bit of meat. Or the mikes way is crazy strong. But this location has always made my sandwiches perfect. My fav is the cheesesteak and turkey

Ordered #44 Buffalo Chicken Cheese Steak, HOWEVER, rec'd #26 Bacon Ranch Chicken Cheese Steak
    Wenz T.

Ordered #44 Buffalo Chicken Cheese Steak, HOWEVER, rec'd a #26 Bacon Ranch Chicken Cheese Steak. It was delicious, although I would've preferred to receive my correct order. They weren't busy, but there was a very difficult customer before me. The staff handle her very well, never showing frustration, just completed all of her ridiculous request. Cred's for that. Got there at opening time, 10am, due to difficult customer, I didn't get my order until 1025am. I don't blame the restaurant for this, they were dealing with the difficult customer. The restaurant was nice & clean.

Okay first thing to say about my experience, location sucks!…read more Located next to other shops it was easy to pass by this small spot. I had to circle around to find the parking. Well there is enough parking in the back parking lot. But there's this security guard there. I asked if he's the parking attendant and he said I'm security. I asked where machetes is and he said that's in the front I only care about the back. So I guess that's his only job to watch the parking lot. And it's located across a homeless camp. So I can see why the need for parking security. Such a turn off! Upon entering machetes I was greeted. The worker asked if I was ready to order and I said just another minute as I wanted to look over the menu for what I wanted since it was my first time. The counter was covered in devices I guess a lot of people order from here. I ordered a turkey and salami sandwich. The worker then asked if I wanted it on the white or brown wheat bread. I chose wheat. While waiting I asked if they make their own bread and they do so I was impressed. The worker asked me, you say you didn't want tomatoes? Then I responded I want everything it supposed to come with. I thought I heard him say a second thing but wasn't sure and I was looking closer to the menu. I didn't realize you can add items to the sandwich for free. The worker then hands me the sandwich wrapped ready to go. I then said oh sorry can you add peppers, cucumbers and Italian vinaigrette. He did not look happy. I apologized saying sorry it was my first time. He said it was cool. Well proceed to pay. And he said have a nice day and I said thanks and left. Sandwich tasted amazing! Big portion! The wheat bread was so soft and light. Refreshing from all the vegetables. And moist from the vinaigrette. Although peppers were missing. Total for just the and sandwich was $13.40. Not a bad sandwich. Just a weird location and weird vibe. Don't forget that there are free addons and a list of them in a tiny section on the bottom of menu. They won't remind you it's there or offer it lol. I'd come back.

This location is a small grab n' go situation. Parking can be tough in the area-- so I definitely suggest ordering online for pick up or delivery. I ordered their turkey, bacon, and avocado. Which also comes with lettuce, tomato, and I added cucumber to it for an extra fresh crunch. I ended up only eating half of my sandwich and then eating the other half hours later and it held up well! An awesome lunch choice, especially if you're on the go or possibly a great travel day sandwich. I had a great conversation with the guy behind the counter- super friendly staff. Just be warned, parking is tough and there's really no place to sit and eat your sandwich there.

The chicken wings were okay, seemed like they were a bit overcooked and on the smaller size. They lady at the front recommended their Polynesian sauce which is similar to an asian zing. It was okay and just used the ranch dipping sauce instead. The garlic shrimp was just not hitting. I didn't expect it to be like a local shrimp truck quality but it just didn't have enough of a garlic taste and was kind of bland. The sliders were my favorite of the 3 and we mopped that one quick! The fries were also decent and nothing special. I probably would come back if i was in the area but may want to try out the other food restaurants the area as well.

When I say the Il Parma was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had, I mean it. I was literally craving it the next day. The flavors were incredible, and the fresh prosciutto made all the difference. The staff was so friendly and patient, taking the time to answer questions and give great recommendations. While we waited, we got to watch them slice the prosciutto fresh and fire the pizzas in the wood-burning oven, which made the experience even better. They were also running an awesome special: $10 pizza slices that are absolutely massive, plus a complimentary non-alcoholic spritz that was super refreshing. The interior of the store is bright, clean, and luxe, and the left side features a deli section while the right side is for ordering coffee, tea, and pastries. There's a lot of small items that they sell on the shelves, such as jams, snacks, and branded tote bags. Service is generally pretty friendly and quick! My favorite thing to get from this location is their mont blanc, which is light and fluffy with small chocolate bits interspersed throughout. I've tried their latte and mochas before, which are decent but somewhat expensive. I wish they sold cake slices at this location (can be found at the Dean and Deluca in Ward), but otherwise there's a decent selection of pastries available on a daily basis. Will have to come back to try their afternoon tea!

Course 1: house-baked petit raisin scone was very PETIT and dry Course 2: Okinawan Sweet Potato Vichyssoise not my favorite Course 3: house baked Kona Baguette (don't know why it was called Kona); Herb beet & Manchego Bruschetta roasted beets chopped up on a house baked raisin bread with a manchego cheese crisp; Truffle cauliflower mouse, saffron gelee topped with braised octopus This was the weirdest dish I ever had and could not finish it!Smoked Salmon egg crepe topped with ikura; Tandoori chicken curry focaccia was ok; Beef Tartare on top of a phyllo nest with a poached Quail Egg was nice. Course 4: Velvet Cream Cheese with Peach Jelly; Sakura Mont Blanc tart; Honoka'a dark chocolate cake was rich and decadent; I liked the Pavlova (crispy French meringue) with raspberry coulis, raspberry and whipped cream; I also liked the raspberry pistachio entremet with the raspberry mousse!
