Best Vietnamese food I've ever had! If you love Vietnamese…read morefood, this is the place to be--and if you don't, it's because you haven't tried Super Pho. I rarely try new restaurants when I'm visiting my fam in Hawaii, but I'm glad I stumbled across Super Pho on google. It's tucked away in a smaller lot, but it's incredibly underrated and should be way more recognized! Each dish we ordered was excellent in flavor, tenderness, and texture; it's almost difficult to say that I have a favorite since everything was so perfect. Portions are also huge, so if you are planning to share with someone else, you both will be full and satisfied. I can't recall the names of the dishes my party ordered, but I don't think it's possible to order anything bad from this place so just order everything. I particularly was fond of their soft noodles and short ribs, because they are my favorite go to dishes to order at Vietnamese restaurants, but everything else I had was right up there with them in quality. I only wish I had more time to try their other dishes. They have a wide variety of over 100 dishes, and honestly I don't think I'll feel satisfied with my life until I try them all. Don't skip out on dessert either, they're also incredibly tasteful and a great way to end your meal! Huge compliments to the staff too, who were very friendly and kind! I couldn't have asked for a better experience! I hope this place gets the hype they deserve!

My first review made note of the atmosphere, and I cannot say it has changed. However, this updated…read morereview includes more notes, such as the fact that I am just realizing how astounded I am to find Vietnamese food being served on a school campus outside of Vietnam. Perhaps there are other such businesses nowadays, after the bánh mì has taken off in popularity in American culinary consciousness, and we are in the midst of an era of increasing Viet food popularity. But being able to get authentic Vietnamese fare at a university campus is pretty nice. I have had the privilege of trying several flavors of bánh mì from Ba Le, and I find them all compelling. The chicken, the ham, and the tofu sandwiches have been all very tasty, and provided me with necessary fuel during a stressful December. Their phở is also pretty nice. I smell it every time I pass by Ba Le. Given that there is usually a bit of a wait here, I'd say Ba Le is quite popular with the community.

The cooked turkey complimented the spinach, dried tomato and cheese very well and the pesto spread was just the right amount to add flavor without overpowering the sandwich. Food was 5 stars I'd say the service was good. They were very attentive to customers waiting in line and remembered who ordered what. The only knock I have is with ordering panini sandwiches and pho, there is a bit of a wait to get the food ready especially if it's crowded Ambiance: There are places indoors and outdoors to sit down but it's usually super crowded with college students. And with the tables being in such close proximity indoors it may be hard to have conversations with people you're sitting right next to. I took off one star for the wait time and another for the lack of seats available and the loud atmosphere (but I'm sure if I went at a less crowded time my 3 stars would be 4 stars). Overall loved the food though :)

I also ordered their lemongrass BBQ chicken Banh Mi and it was a good portion, I took a few bites for lunch and had to eat the rest for dinner. I didn't try their ice coffee yet or any of their drinks but that's what I would try next time along with their Pho bc I LOVE PHO! When I have more time to sit and enjoy...I'll order that next time. Came just at when they opened so it was empty. This also looks like a nice place to sit and get some work done but not during the busy lunch hours.

The noodles were pretty standard, and overall it was enjoyable, although not the best pho I've had. My biggest issue was the bill. I was charged more than the price listed on the menu, and I was also charged for a dessert that was simply left on our table even though I never ordered it or ate it. When I brought the discrepancies to their attention, I only received a partial adjustment rather than the full difference. I left feeling like I was being hustled rather than taken care of as a customer. I don't mind paying for what I order, but pricing should match the menu and customers shouldn't be charged for food they never requested. Unfortunately, that experience would make me hesitant to return despite the food being decent.

Mom got the Tofu Veggie Pho medium as I was just having conversation of what size she wants and the gentleman says her medium is enough too much for her but you can have the large...that already had me feeling meh. I got the bbq pork vermicelli with spring rolls since I wanted to try something different from hers but the price is fair and was looking forward to it since it's been awhile. She loved her broth not oily and it was nice and light filled with lots of veggies as for me the raw veggies was hard to eat along with mint mixed in was a challenge on my personal liking but not having water as I tried to pick it out of my teeth wasn't pleasant and the sauce I enjoyed but might be a bit spicy for some so I couldn't offer to mom sadly. The service didn't impress me at all he kept interrupting our conversation for his two cents but as we placed our order the look of disappointment when we declined appetizers wasn't necessary along with asking us if we wanted water or something to drink as we wasn't served water at all throughout the service. He later tried asking us if we wanted dessert the last tapioca which we declined and his mood shifted even more just made me want to leave and it's cash only no card payment.
