Love this place! This is always a must when coming to the north shore! I always get the sharks cove with apple juice blend and add almond butter on mine! Acai bowls are always good and consistent. Service could be friendlier as I wasn't greeted and was asked "what do you want?" I am not expecting amazing service but some customer service would be nice.
It was my first time coming to this location. My boyfriend and I came in on a Monday morning and it wasn't that busy. Thankfully, they offer parking in the back of the building and there were a bunch of spots. When I walked in we were greeted right away and the two girls were very welcoming. They were working on other orders, but told us to give them a couple minutes. The cafe isn't that big, but definitely designed to be local looking. There are a few tables inside, outside and seats near the window. My boyfriend and I got a small DaKine Acai Bowl and Large San O Smoothie. Although we got a small acai bowl, it was a very filling and im surprised that it had a strong peanut butter taste. We thought it would be on top, but it was blended in. They do not skimp on the granola or the almonds for this bowl. There was granola on the bottom and on the top. Kinda disappointed that there was only bananas as the fruit topping, but there are other bowl variations that have other fruits - im just used to having strawberries, bananas and blueberries. The smoothie was very refreshing and a perfect blend of sweet and tart. Overall, I was happy with the service and food. It took about 5-10 minutes to get our orders, but it was because there was only two if them working and there were others before us.
Banzai Bowls is really good. It's pretty pricey for an acai bowl, but I still think it's worth it for the quality and quantity. You can watch everything being freshly blended and made, which is always a plus. It was super busy when I went, so ordering and waiting took a bit longer, but the girls working were clearly hustling and still very kind and friendly. There is counter space and a seating area if you want to sit down and eat. My favorite is the Shark's Cove acai bowl! They also have pitaya bowl options and smoothies, which is nice. Overall, a great stop if you're in Haleiwa and craving something refreshing.
There are a few things on the island that is instant gratification on a hot day, something cold and sweet always hit the spot. But which one to pick is truly a task. Came here on a friend's recommendation and glad I did. The menu tend to be overwhelming because too many choices and it all looks so good. It might take at least 5 min to peruse...peak time might be a longer line. Even a small size is big enough for two to share.
Everything went well! Promptly greeted upon entering. Clean and spacious eatery with full view of preparation of order. As it was my first time there, I take a couple of minutes or so to look over the menu overhead. They were very patient with me. I ordered a large OG bowl with almond milk. It was delicious! Banana slices and honey top it off! Cold but nutritious! Just what I needed after the long drive over from Honolulu and just before walking around the beautiful Haleiwa beach area! I hope to return on my next vacation to Oahu!
My family and I went to Banzai Bowls in Hale'iwa around 4 pm on a Saturday. There's free parking out back. We got lucky since the lot wasn't super congested. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Cute surf decor around the shop! When we walked in we weren't greeted (no biggie, it was noisy from the blenders going off). When we walked up to the counter to order the cashier didn't say hi to us. She was just sitting and kind of looked like she didn't want to be there lol I get it girl we all been there. But sheesh! So I knocked a few stars off for bad service. I understand this is not a high end/fancy restaurant but some basic manners to me is standard. But who knows maybe she was having a bad day. The portion sizes definitely saved this place! $16.50 for a small sounds crazy but if you look at the pictures, they are very generous with the fruits! We all know how expensive fruits are in HI. I'm not much of an açaí person but I enjoyed my bowl
Solid acai bowls. Loved the Banzai Bowl for all the fruits you get on it, and the rest were good too, especially adding a scoop of mini chocolate chips. Da Kine and Off the Wall were good too! The servers were helpful in giving suggestions, and the portions were pretty good. There's a few good shops right next to this location for clothes and gear. Some beach within walking distance and spots to sit and eat that overlook it. You might find parking right by the place or a little further down the street off the highway.
I heard about BB from Stacey H., who knows all about food and everything else, so I decided to stray away from my usual and try something new-to-me. Came here after a north shore hike. Although it's in busy Haleiwa town, there's an adequate amount of free customer parking in the parking lot behind the building, shared with other businesses. It was confusing if the parking lot entrances are one-way or two-way. Although Stacey H. raved about the acai bowl with PB, I tend to not like protein-filled acai bowls and like the more fruity ones, so I ordered the "Sharks Cove Bowl". I came by myself, so I ordered a small ($13.50 as of 3/15/25), which is a GIANT serving for one person. You would get the most bang for your buck if you shared a large ($16.50) with someone that has the same taste as you. I initially thought the price was steep for an acai bowl, but the acai tastes wonderful (I had it blended with apple juice. Almond milk was offered as an option.), it was blended just right - not soupy, and they topped it with fresh, giant, tasty blueberries and strawberries, as well as bananas, granola, goji berries, and honey. I really like this bowl! I would go as far to say that this acai bowl tastes better than Haleiwa Bowls nearby, which was my previous fave (I still love HB's Blue Majik bowl - which is NOT an acai bowl but spirulina + pineapple). I'll likely be bouncing between the two. There's both indoor and outdoor seating, and you can even walk across the street to enjoy your bowl at the beach. Best of luck taking a left outta the parking lot to return to town. I recommend being patient and waiting for a nice local to let you turn. Be shua to trow one shaka aftah dat ack of kine-ess.
My partner and I ordered smoothies, the wedge and lowers. Both were super tasty and we knew it would take a while and were happy to wait for quality smoothies. We both got smalls and thoroughly enjoyed them as they disappeared quick. The only reason for the 3 stars is for one of the employees lack of customer service, you'd think you killed her puppy. From the sounds of some of the less than stellar reviews, they're based on the horrible customer service, not the smoothies/bowls. If I were the business owner, I'd probably have a meeting expressing the importance of customer service. People chose to spend their money where they feel like they're money is worth spending and I'd think twice about here. Again, solely based on the service. Doesn't seem like there's been much of a change over the years so I don't expect any change.
This place was a cool little find needing a cool treat on a hot day. We stopped here to grab some açaí bowls. I was not the biggest fan of açaí bowls but coming here changed my mind. We got the original bowls. Pretty big portions and the bowls were nutritious and delicious. Service was good also we will come back.

The young lady at the counter looked annoyed to be there and didn't greet us or thank us. I watched as others came after and she did the same thing. Maybe the business owner needs to have a training on Customer Service 101, because with the many acai options in Haleiwa, it's easy to not come back!
Wow!! I can believe the customer service in this place. People, trust others reviews. Don't go there unless if you want to be treated like shit. The Açaí were ok. The ambiance is whatever. They show you a large bowl but be aware that it comes half full. Anyways do not recommend this place to anyone.
Rating: 4.5/5 Pictured, Sharks Cove Large Bowl, different day same order. This is my go to and I will always return. The speed of service is good and the acái bowls ares very tasty. Whether you just want to stroll the shops, enjoy it inside, or on the beach you have all the options. Looking for a snack/lunch option I would definitely recommend! read more

Was driving to the north shore, passed by Bonzai Bowls. Was Ono for an acai bowl. Prices went up like everywhere else. Ordered the large bonzai bowl to share with my husband. It was more than enough for the 2 of us. The base was good and not too sweet. Good portion of fruit. Love the bee pollen read more

Super cute shop with a simple layout and clean airy vibe. I was shocked at how big a small bowl was, super pleased with the portions! Ingredients were amazing. I ordered before going across the street to use the bathroom, the employees kept my bowl in the fridge til I returned to keep it from melting! Wish they had a bathroom on site. My compostable spoon had a strong synthetic smell that threatened the flavor of each bite but I just traded it for one in the car. read more
We were originally going to another Acai Bowl place, but we missed the parking. We saw this was the next bowl place, and their parking was easier to find, and their location is pretty convenient. When you walk in, it has that old Haleiwa town feel, which adds to the ambiance. They have an interesting menu, which I recommend you study a bit to figure out what you want in your bowl. We ordered the Makaha Bowl, Shark's Cove Bowl, and the OG Bowl. They were all great, and the girls working were really nice and efficient when taking orders and making the bowls. The sizes were really good and a small was enough to make my tummy pretty happy, but light enough that I had room for my lunch later. Our next trip out to Haleiwa, I will definitely go back here again. read more

The only reason we go into Haleiwa... is for our Banzai Bowls! Thankfully they have a parking right behind their store and you don't have to walk far. The bowls are big and sooo worth it for the price compared to other Acai bowls locations. My favorite is their Acai Maui Sunrise... But everything on their menu is so tasty! When ordering, the small is pretty big. But if you're sharing or taking it home, then go for the large & Thank me later. Their service is pretty on it. Even if there is a line, they make the bowls/drinks quick. There's lots of space on the inside to enjoy your food or you can just take it to go! Never disappointed coming here :) read more

We were desperate to get out of the traffic to get some food and stopped at the first food spot we saw which happened to be Banzai Bowls and it turned out to be great. I thought it was a poke spot and was delighted to see that it was acai bowls which I love. The best or easily the top 3 acai bowls I have ever had...loaded and bursting with flavor. They are also very generous with the portions and it was a giant meal and a delicious one at that. Super friendly girls who gave us some great tips on the area. read more

Maui Sunrise - blend: coconut milk, pineapple juice, acai, bananas, strawberries, mango / top: granola, bananas, strawberries, blueberries, coconut shreds, honey I'm not an expert in acai bowls but I thought these were very tasty. I really liked the granola crunch within the acai blend. There's so many ingredients that it's hard to taste a few other things like bee pollen and honey. Acai blend tasted good and fruit was fresh. It looks a little pricey but the portion is fairly big. Service was good. read more

Yummy açaí bowls during the humid weather back in May. We decided to stop by here. This place has many selections of açaí & pitaya bowls. They also have açaí smoothies, pitaya smoothies and fruit smoothies. We opted for the Da Kine açaí bowl. This has bananas, chocolate almonds açaí, peanut butter, strawberries topped with almond slices, bananas, granola and honey. We got a large size. This tasted good especially on a hot day. Overall, we enjoyed what we ordered and services is good. read more

Yummy bowls and smoothies with lots of options for toppings and add-ons. Lots of seating indoors and outside with a private parking lot in the back. Service is friendly as well. They don't have green smoothies but they do have spinach as an add-on. read more
We first went to another place but got turned off by their full parking lot, line and increased pricing. Upon driving across the bridge, we see Banzai Bowls and decided to stop and try. Stars for lots of parking (behind building), lots of seating (indoor & outdoor), no line and good service (Tuesday 2pm), reasonably priced for an impressive portion (large good for 2) and it was delicious (enjoyed the Maui Sunrise). Place was clean and inviting with nostalgic seating (rustic metal seats & tables) with nice views - loved that it was air-conditioned after being at the beach prior. Banzai Bowls is now our go-to place when in Haleiwa. Sooo good in so many ways. read more

We decided to stop by Banzai Bowls right before we went out to the shark cages. They had a lot of options to choose from and you can either get the base with Acai or Pitaya (Dragonfruit). We opted for the Acai Three Tables. It was very refreshing and the fruit was very good. A good portion for the both of us (large). I do wish it came in an actual bowl instead of a deep container, mainly because this would let me mix all the fruit and toppings with the acai base. The way it's constructed makes it hard to mix anything so I had to eat a good amount of the fruit first which left an imbalanced portion of acai to fruit towards the end. They do have indoor seating so you can enjoy your bowl indoors as well. read more

Banzai Bowls are delicious and the best place to get açaí IMO. I frequent their sunset location and the staff is always friendly so I was shocked when I came to their Haleiwa location and the one girl working had a very blah attitude. No smile, no greeting when I walked in. I had to say hello first and she didn't even reply to me. Just stood at me waiting for me to order... so I did. Then when my order was ready she didn't even say anything. Just put it on the counter and I saw and grabbed it - I was the only customer there. I'm never the only customer at the Sunset location. There's a nice seating area in here and more tables and seats compared to the sunset location. There's also a nice deck and view of the ocean. Not sure why the employee was so blah. Maybe she was having a bad day? I hope her service gets better or this was just a fluke. I'll stick to the sunset location. I only deducted one star for her bad service but normally would deduct more. However Banzai's product is so great they get 4 stars still: read more
