The Good: * The best yogurt on island! What happened to all the frozen yogurt places on Oahu?! Anyways, who cares... this is some yummy stuff!!!!!!!!!!! * Easy parking, thank goodness The Bad: * A drive away, but makes it more of a treat! * A little pricey, but worth itttttttttt The Weird: * The last time I went, I waited 45 minutes for frozen yogurt topped with blueberries. There was one worker, and it was a hot Sunday afternoon. Luckily, the young lady was SOOOOOO friendly with every customer, I just felt really bad that the line was so long and she was all alone. Need to find some help!
Fast service, convenient tables, delicious acai bowl. I just feel it was a bit overpriced for the size of the bowl.
We just ate there and got the best bowls! The server kenadie was the best! Super friendly and sweet! And don't forget she served the wettest yummiest and best sodalicous açaí of my life! FYI she's funny
It was good! Nice acai bowls with a solid amount of options to choose from. Everything tasted fresh, and it's a great healthier option in the area.
I stopped by for a quick frozen yogurt treat and ordered the Kids Size. The serving cost nearly $5, which already feels expensive, but the portion size was the real problem: the yogurt barely filled the cup, making the container highly misleading. I understand that toppings are an extra cost, but the base portion for the Kids Size is an unacceptable value for the price charged. The large cup size feels like a case of false advertisement when the actual product is so meager. Due to the high price point and the very small, misleading portion, I will not be returning to this location. I recommend prospective customers look elsewhere if they expect fair value for their money.
We had a choice while in the North Shore of Oahu after eating our lunch at the shrimp truck...go to Leonard's for malasadas or try Ono Yo which was right near the shrimp truck. Good thing we decided to try Ono Yo! You can make your own creation or try one from the set menu. I did the mixed yogurt/acai mix. If you are in the mood for trying North Shore food trucks, you should give Ono Yo a try. Don't forget to "Check-in" on Yelp as they sometimes have little rewards for you.
Food (4.25/5): I got a medium layers of heaven with frozen Greek yogurt base and a medium wild berry with açaí base. I do not recommend the açaí --it was quite bland and flavorless; the fruit topping was really fresh though. The Greek yogurt though, I highly highly recommend! It was spectacular even if I just had it plain, which I can't say for most plain Greek yogurt. The food is a bit overpriced. Service (2/5): If this place had better service, I think I would have given them 4 or 5 stars. The staff seem aloof and disinterested. I did not tip, but that's because it's not sit-down style, and I think that might be why my portion was so small for a medium? The woman staff who took and made my order initially announced that both bowls were a small size when they were ready for pickup, but I clarified with her that I ordered two medium bowls, and she quickly corrected herself that I was being given two medium bowls. It was just a really strange and uncomfortable interaction. Ambiance (4/5): I came here on a Monday afternoon, and there wasn't a line per se, but people were ordering one after another periodically, so seems like they get consistent business. Again, I would give them 4 or even 5 stars (amazing frozen Greek yogurt, maybe even the best plain I've had), but their attitude and service needs to change. I was thinking of giving them 1 or 2 stars but the Greek yogurt again was their saving grace.
Amazing service! The girl working when we went was incredibly friendly and patient with me and husband as we worked our way through the menu trying to decide what we wanted. And the food delivered. Amazing quality, you could tell the ingredients were all fresh and the flavor was so rich - we'll definitely be going back! The cutest little truck/stand too, with hanging lights and wooden seating area. I'm craving it now as I'm writing this review... go check it out, you won't be disappointed!
Love coming here whenever we venture out to Kahuku for camping at Malaekahana or when we have a garlic shrimp craving. The yogurt at Ono Yo is so refreshing and my favorite is the Fruit Bowl with plain tart yogurt base. Check in via Yelp and you'll get a free topping!
This is another cool stop at the Sugar Mill. I plan to try all the eateries here before I leave. I got the acai bowl which is one of my favorites and it was refreshing and a good snack, not a meal given the small portions. Still two thumbs up!
We were coming back from Paipailoa to Laie side and wanted açaí bowls but they ran out of açaí which is unfortunate. There is plenty of parking in front and there are other food trucks near it. My fiancé ended up ordering the frozen yogurt base and the bliss bowl which has bananas, sliced almonds, granola and honey. It was good but we really wanted açaí so hence the 4 stars.
You m vacation and we had to drive to the north shore of the O'ahu island to the food truck village. Among other places we tried we had a little dessert here at Ono Yo! ... there was only one person working which made for a long wait but it was well worth it and we were understanding. The small bowl we tried was delicious and fresh. The set up of this little truck is awesome with the beautiful stained wood all around the deck! Definitely a place to try while visiting

Really cute truck with super friendly staff! I got a pretty tasty acai bowl from here and appreciated all the options for customization. They have a ton of toppings and sauces to choose from and the option to pick yogurt or acai as a base. My acai was good, a little icy but still tasty. For the size, I think these bowls are a little on the pricey side, but could be justified for a once in a while treat. This truck is located near multiple other food trucks, which I appreciate because it gave us the option to try lots of different places without having to walk far. Plenty of seating nearby and a place to wash your hands if needed. read more

This was my first experience trying acai (pronounced ah-sigh-EE). Since you could order açaí or frozen yogurt, I knew that it was along the lines of a dessert type of thing. I really had no preconceived notions about what it would taste like. To me, it really didn't even have a taste. But maybe that's because I ordered the almond joy and it had lots of chocolate, almonds and coconut in it. Someone with me ordered fruit and it was good too! I loved sitting outside on the picnic tables and enjoying watching and listening to the roosters crowing all around! Very relaxing and filling snack! read more

This is the best frozen yogurt I ever had. It had the perfect blend with the fruit and the yogurt was no overly sweet and so smooth. This is in a food truck, so seating is limited but it was so hot we ended up in the air-condition car. read more

Located in the Sugar Mill shopping community, we stopped here to get the little one something sweet after walking around and the surveying all the food trucks. The wife and kid shared a s'mor and loved it, and then the wife got her own creation after that. The yogurt is fresh and the ingredients are fresh. Very good quality. There was a constant line of people which attests to the quality and popularity. A small s'more is $7.60 and a small with 3 ingredients is also $7.60. Service was helpful and friendly. I am sure that we will return before we leave. read more

Ono Yo is a cute little truck with a small patio in the food truck area where Giovanni's is located. They have unsweet yogurt with lots of topping options and a great selection of "sundae" style creations. They had plain yogurt, blueberry yogurt, and acai as the bases the day I was there. I think the flavor varies and they usually have plain and acai. I had a Rocky Road with plain yogurt base. the small size was just right after our shrimp plate lunches. The yogurt is not sweet, which was really great with the granola, mac nuts, and caramel topping. Ono Yo is very generous with the toppings, and the yogurt to topping ratio came out just right! My friend had a fruit combo with her yogurt and the fruit looked lovely and fresh. read more
This froyo is so good. I usually always get original tart at any froyo place. Since I love Greek yogurt I asked for a sample and one taste of it and it was over, I wanted it. I was not disappointed. Unfortunately, they were out of raspberries for a and I asked for mango but they were out so I settled on kiwi (they gave me an Extra topping free for the hassle. I got marshmallows. Don yourself a favor and stop here. There's other ships and food trucks but after come by read more

Had a little staycation with the 'ohana and made a visit to our favorite village of food trucks out in the country. Pulled up to a cute little hut with beautiful wooden plank flooring, matching tables and decor that made up the ambiance of Ono Yo for some refreshing and cold frozen yogurt. I asked about their top picks and the wahine behind the counter quickly gave us her recommendations. And she was 100% spot on!!! It was sooo 'ono (delicious)! The strawberry kiwi bowl was made to perfection - fruits were perfectly cut and placed over a bed of crispy yummy granola with sweet plain frozen yogurt. Our absolute favorite was the wild berry bowl! Not only did it come with our favorite berries but it was drizzled with yummy condensed milk like icing on a cake. 5/5 must have if you love berries. A hui hou - until we meet you again real soon read more

I got the cookies N cream for my daughter... she liked it but me and my friend also tried it and we did not like the frozen yogurt it was to sour and the chocolate sauce was to sweet.. it had none of that slight bitterness chocolate gives. As long as my daughter likes it I'm happy but there's always room for improvement. I do see people TRY this place very often but personally It's just not what I look for. Good touristy stop to go I suppose and some people will like this read more
Best açaí bowl I've ever had so far. Come support small local business. I got the strawberry kiwi goodness with açaí base. The honey on top made everything better. Fresh fruits. Perfect sweetness. And healthy açaí. Go get the shrimp plate from Giovanni and then come here. You won't regret. (They got cute outdoor benches with string lights.) read more

This bowl was delicious. The pricing at Ono Yo is the most overpriced açaí bowl I have ever had. You have to pay for the base Açaí and every topping you add is an additional 2$ it was so expensive and overpriced for the portion and the toppings. I wish the base price included 3 toppings and any additional was extra! We have gotten much bigger açaí bowls with more toppings for cheaper elsewhere on the island. read more

This is another refreshing dessert we had during the hot day and especially after we had a shrimps meal. We love this fruit bowl had 3 varieties: strawberry, kiwi, and pineapple with honey on the top. We chose the base with red dragon fruit. The taste was so balanced and not overly sweet! Yummy! The lady staff was nice to explain everything. read more
Cute little place in Kahuku, North shore and not too far from the Polynesian cultural center. We had acai yogurt with local fruit toppings (banana, pineapple and papaya) topped with condense milk. $9 for large size, good enough for sharing. Yogurt has very good flavor, not too sweet, and smooth. Fruits are very fresh. They ran out of lilikoi sauce... so we had condense milk. It actually is balance well with the tardiness of pineapple and not overwhelming. Overall, it is a good place to stop after a long hot day! read more
