INCREDIBLE. I don't usually finish a whole ice cream by myself, I like to share but this time I finished it on my own which means it's REAL GOOD. I got the strawberry with coconut ice cream and sprinkle topping. My friend got the raspberry with vanilla ice cream and that was really good too, I'd recommend those mixes!! Also the girl working stayed late past closing time to make sure my friends and I got our ice cream which was soooo nice of her. Awesome service! read more

This was so good!!! The girl at the register answered all our questions and provided recommendations. We selected mixed berry with vanilla ice cream. It was fun to watch them make it and fill the cone. I love all things lilikoi so really wanted to go back and try that, but we never made it. Located in the Polynesian Cultural Center Marketplace. No dedicated seating, but we found a place to sit and enjoy it in the center. read more

Located top floor of center stage (kiosk). Great concept don't know if it's all local products or brought in. But if you're new to this, it's basically you choose your ice cream (dairy or non). Vanilla, coconut, yogurt or non dairy coconut ($1 extra). Choose your size, Keiki, regular etc Cup/bowl or waffle cone (+$1) For the price for the waffle cone why not and its fresh made cones. Choose your fruit and then the machine blends the fruit and your ice cream selection then it swirls it into your cup or cone. Overall it's pretty good. Took some family there and a few are non dairy (lactose intolerant) and they loved the non dairy. Even tried the ice cream as is before selection and said the non dairy was more creamy and tastier. I eneded up getting a keiki size (1 scoop), coconut and strawberry in a waffle cone. Bottom of the cone the ice cream didn't blend well. And the coconut ice cream was more of a ice milk type, did have some coconut slivers inside. Will try the non dairy next time. Lines were long as there were only 1 workers present and about 15 people waiting along with the ones already ordered and waiting. So service is a bit slow if crowded. Make sure you wait out front and listen for your name before they go back to taking orders and making orders while your order is in the freezer. read more

This was soooo good that we swung by again the next day. After having a disappointing Dole whip at the Dole plantation, I knew we had to head back here to have a true treat. At this visit, I was able to taste the following combinations: Lilikoi + coconut: texture was a bit icy and the coconut flakes resulted in a grainy bite to it Lilikoi + nondairy coconut: texture was creamier but my favorite combination was def Lilikoi + vanilla They also have super cute, soft tshirts! We bought 3 sweet as shirts! Lol read more

Food and drinks are excellent. Very good service. Wet clean surroundings. Employees are very polite and nice.

We went to this one and the one in Haleiwa. This was hands down the best ice cream we have ever had! The ingredients were all so fresh and the process is so fun to watch. This is a must if you are on the North Shore, you have to try it! We were on the island for a week and went 3 or 4 times it was that good... read more

I will be dreaming about this ice cream for the rest of my life! So light and refreshing! I had the hardest time deciding what to order, but I loved the combination of lilikoi and mango. My only regret is not going back for a second cone read more

Earlier in the day we had a local tell us about this place so we decided to pay them a visit. We made a quick stop at a local park to take pictures of the beautiful scenery and we're ready for a cool treat. We met the owner's brother who was behind the counter. He truly made the experience personalized and inviting. He gave us some background to where the style of ice cream came from, New Zealand. The process is simple: choose from six different fruits and then choose your ice cream. They mix it up! The result is this amazing sweet delectable treat. The consistency is that of soft serve. I recommended getting the waffle cone. The softness of the ice cream and the crunch of the cone are quite tasty. We tried the mixed berries and vanilla; pineapple and vanilla; and lastly, pineapple, mango and vanilla. All were amazing, packed with flavor and freshness. I highly recommend this place! read more

I lived in New Zealand for a bit and this place is legit! The best I've had in the US (though not as good as the real thing in NZ). The ice cream is fresh and creamy just like in NZ. The waffle cone is a $1 add-on and it's a MUST! I went twice, first time got the raspberry with vanilla, and then the lilikoi with vanilla. I can't decide what I liked better! Both delicious and amazing. read more

Yummy!!!! New Zealand inspired kinda like Cold Stone Creamery except with fresh fruit infused into your choice of ice cream. My husband and I visited on a warm July day. We ordered pineapple bits mixed into Vanilla in a waffle cone. Side note, the waffle cones are also made in house! You definitely have to try the waffle cone. I give major props to the workers. There were 3 girls crammed into the tiny hut, one making the waffle cone, one taking the orders, while one made the ice cream. They have the operation down to a complete science. Absolutely worth a visit! read more

We planned a day at the Polynesian cultural center so I decided to look up what's around there to eat. This little spot popped up and I decided I am definitely going here. Located inside the PCC marketplace, there is ample parking. Going to the marketplace is free and doesn't require an admission ticket so for folks who just want to stop by and check out a bunch of souvenir stores and grab a quick bite, this is the place! The service was quick and friendly. The two girls working were very attentive. The menu is brief and self explanatory. Pick a fruit, pick your ice cream base, and then which size. I'm not sure if you can mix fruits, but I forgot to ask. Once you order, they have you wait on the side and in a few short minutes, they call out your name/order. It was a pretty hot day so this began melting quickly, but it was so tasty, we finished it. The waffle cone was nice and crunchy and tasted fresh. If we're ever in the area again, I would definitely stop by to try the other flavors. read more

My favorite concept dessert in life thus far lol. Mixing ice cream/yogurt with frozen fruit and turning it into soft serve goodness, I was having an amazing experience! Tried the blackberry with yogurt and my bf got the mango with coconut base, both perfectly creamy with fruit bits and not sugary. Can't believe we don't have this in SoCal. read more

I can't believe I forgot to take a photo but the ice cream is just that good, I was so excited and devoured it immediately! I've been to the Laie location but was so happy they opened their Haleiwa location, which is a bit closer to home for me. And when I mean close, it's really not that close, probably takes me 40 minutes to drive to their Haleiwa location but that beats the hour or more to get to Laie. But believe me, I will drive across the island for this ice cream, because really, it is that good! Their Haleiwa location is at the corner just pass the bridge, kiddy corner from Surf n Sea. You can find parking behind the shop or on the street across from the gravel/dirt parking lot. Why do I drive this far for ice cream? For starters, they are the only ones on island that I know of that mix in real fruit with their ice cream bases, resulting in a creamy soft serve texture. For the bases, they have vanilla, coconut, and dairy free coconut which is my go-to. I've tried the dairy free coconut on its own and it's amazing with or without a fruit add-in. I also love getting their waffle cones for $1 extra. Trust me, if you're an ice cream enthusiast and love fruit, make the drive and get yourself some Sweet As :) read more

This is one perfect treat on a hot day. Came here twice during our stay in Laie. We tried yoghurt base and coconut base added fresh fruit, strawberry, pineapple, mango and lilikoi. I think lilikoi was the best. It was something I never had before and really good and refreshing. The ice cream just had the right amount of sweetness and it is mixed with real fruit. First time we got the waffle cones and the serving can be shared. One of our cones snapped in half and it went to waste. So the next time we just got the cups. read more

Had a Northshore day and finally got to try this! Loved that there was a ton of parking at the Hukilau Marketplace. I got the Keiki size ($6) because if I wanted the coconut base they only had enough for that size. However, even the Keiki size is pretty big and perfect for me! I got a mango + strawberry base and I loved how fresh it is! However, I felt that the mango wasn't that fresh and while I like chunks of fruit, I felt like it was super underripe/ too frozen so I probably would not have gotten that flavor, but I loved the strawberry! The coconut base is also a really good mixer. I would come back again when in the area (wish they were in town!). read more

Driving back to Waikiki after a fun day at North Shore, I found this amazing little ice cream stall located inside the Polynesian Cultural Center. This store uniquely mixes fresh fruit flavors with soft serve ice cream base. They use real fruit such as mango, strawberry, pineapple, etc. The ice cream bases include vanilla, coconut, coconut (non-dairy), and frozen yogurt. They have 2 serving sizes - "keiki" and "regular" - and you can get it in a cup, sugar cone, or waffle cone. I got the fruit of the week, Lilikoi (Passionfruit), mixed with Mango and Vanilla soft serve. It was sooo good! The flavor is light and refreshing, but not too sweet, and the ice cream was super creamy. The employees are super friendly and welcoming too. My friends and I definitely want go back to try out all the different flavors they have! read more

While driving around the Island my wife and I chose to walk around the shops at the Polynesian Cultural Center in Lane. My wife was looking around for an salt afternoon snack and chose to order the fresh strawberry ice cream from Sweet as. They mixed in the fresh strawberries as they filled the home made waffle cones with coconut ice cream. It was delicious and very refreshing. I couldn't taste the coconut ice cream at first but when you get to the end there is pure coconut ice cream at the bottom of the cone which was really delicious. They have a variety of fresh fruit flavors but the star was the waffle cone. It is a thinner version of most waffle cones that makes the dessert even more delicate. We will probably stop here every time we are in the area. The cones are priced at $6 and after one bite we woofed it down and forgot to take a picture. read more

After having some dinner, we decided to try out the ice cream shop at the Marketplace (Polynesian Cultural Center). I checked out this place at the Polynesian Cultural Center! Man, is it good. They actually use ice cream made straight from the Hawaiian Island of Maui and use yummy frozen fruit. Delicious, delightful, and creamy! Couldn't get enough of it! There are so many wonderful food places right in the Center but Sweet As is one of my favorites. Such great ice cream! I was walking through the Marketplace and noticed this cute little ice cream shop that is new. A sign in front of it described it as real fruit ice cream. I can't stand a "strawberry ice cream" that has artificial flavors or colors in it so I was excited to try the real fruit ice cream. The owner was really nice and explained how things worked and told me what she recommended. My ice cream came out quickly and looked great. I loved how fresh it tasted and I loved finding real bits of fruit in every bite. It was absolutely fantastic in every way. Don't miss out on trying Sweet As! read more

It was ok and not worth the price in my opinion. We got the the keiki coconut ice cream with pineapple. It's different than Coldstone in that the texture was more like hard pineapple shreds, rather than fresh soft chunks or pieces. Something about it was off-putting. It was also more like soft serve texture even though they advertise as ice cream. It melted so fast that we did not finish it. The worse part was that it was in a tiny cup (instead of a bowl to prevent dripping), so it was dripping everywhere. I would not trust my non-existent kids with it. They do have vegan coconut ice cream, so that's a plus for vegan and lactose-intolerant people. read more

Excellent and friendly service! We were at the Polynesian Cultural Center for luau and the show. After the show ended, my daughters were clamoring for Icecream. They have a sweet tooth just like me, what can I say. I had noticed a lot of customers at the kiosk/stall earlier in the day so decided to take them there. Both decided to get the mixed berries with vanilla Icecream. I tasted a little from them, it was really yummy without being too sweet or heavy, guess because it's real fruit.
